Effective perioperative pain management is essential for accelerating recovery and minimizing adverse events, in which sensitive and reliable pain monitoring plays an indispensable role. The index of consciousness (IoC) derived from electroencephalogram signal is an emerging index for monitoring the depth of anesthesia, and has been progressively applied during general anesthesia. The IoC2, is used for the monitoring of the degree of analgesia, and can be used as a pain management monitoring index in a variety of surgical types to evaluate the analgesic effect, guiding the rational use of analgesic drugs, and reducing perioperative-related adverse events. I it has good advantages and application prospects in the clinic. The purpose of this paper is to summarize the basic principle, current status of clinical research, advantages and disadvantages of IoC2, and to make a simple comparison with other analgesic monitoring, so as to provide a reliable basis for the clinical application of IoC2.

Purpose: Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly influencing various medical fields, including anesthesiology. The Introduction of artificial intelligent patient-controlled analgesia (Ai-PCA) has been seen as a significant advancement in pain management. However, the adoption and practical application of Ai-PCA by medical staff, particularly in anesthesia and thoracic surgery, have not been extensively studied. This study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) among anesthesia and thoracic surgery medical staff toward artificial intelligent patient-controlled analgesia (Ai-PCA). Participants and Methods: This web-based cross-sectional study was conducted between November 1, 2023 and November 15, 2023 at Jiangsu Cancer Hospital. A self-designed questionnaire was developed to collect demographic information of anesthesia and thoracic surgery medical staff, and to assess their knowledge, attitudes and practices toward Ai-PCA. Results: A total of 519 valid questionnaires were collected. Among the participants, 278 (53.56%) were female, 497 (95.76%) were employed in the field of anesthesiology, and 188 (36.22%) had participated in Ai-PCA training. The mean knowledge, attitude, and practice scores were 7.8± 1.75 (possible range: 0– 10), 37.43± 4.16 (possible range: 9– 45), and 28.38± 9.27 (possible range: 9– 45), respectively. Conclusion: The findings revealed that anesthesia and thoracic surgery medical staff have sufficient knowledge, active attitudes, but poor practices toward the Ai-PCA. Comprehensive training programs are needed to improve anesthesia and thoracic surgery medical staff's practices in this area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In satellite networks, existing congestion resolution methods do not consider the predictability and stability of paths, leading to frequent path switches and high maintenance costs. In this regard, we propose a novel congestion resolution approach, named MOLM, which introduces a continuous neighbor set during path updates. This set includes nodes capable of establishing sustainable connections with the predecessors and successors of congested nodes. Combined with a multi-objective simulated annealing framework, MOLM iteratively derives an optimal selection from this set to replace congested nodes. Additionally, we employ a Fast Reroute mechanism based on backup paths (FRR-BP) to address node failures. How to effectively promote the large-scale and market-oriented farmland leasing process in China is one of the most important practical issues concerning the current academic circle and decision makers. However, restricted by the current situation of rural social development, farmers' spontaneous and informal farmland leasing is still widespread. Exploring the long-term evolution characteristics of informal farmland leasing at the village scale is of great significance for optimizing the process of farmland leasing, perfecting the farmland leasing market, and promoting moderate-scale farmland management. Therefore, based on field survey data from the whole village and social network analysis methods, this research conducted a detailed empirical study on the characteristics, development process, and consequences of informal farmland leasing behavior in a traditional rural society in central China. The results show that with the development of time, the scope of informal farmland leasing in Huang village has been expanding, of which more than 70% of the farmland in 2020 was leased among acquaintances. Farmland leasing among acquaintances is becoming a trend toward informal farmland leasing in some villages. At present, 13 large-scale households lease 73.9% of the total area of farmland leasing in Huang village. The informal farmland leasing in the village has basically formed a centralized circulation pattern with the villager group as the core, which can promote moderate-scale farming to a certain extent. However, there are also problems, such as the ability of a simple internal leasing mode to resist external risks is limited. The findings may be helpful in rethinking China's farmland leasing policy and provide useful insights into the multifaceted rural sustainability of other similar traditional villages.
