Industrial applications tend to involve a substantial assemblage of electronic devices, and it is imperative to consider diverse charging requirements while charging these devices. This paper proposes a three‐coil single‐input‐and‐dual‐output (SIDO) inductive power transfer (IPT) system to meet the charging requirements of different devices. The system includes two independent output ports, providing constant voltage (CV) output and constant current (CC) output for different loads, respectively. In addition, the zero‐phase angle (ZPA) operation can be achieved, thus avoiding injection of reactive power and improving energy transfer efficiency. Unlike previous related studies, the receiver of the proposed SIDO IPT system only includes one receiving coil to pick up energy, eliminating unnecessary cross‐coupling and complex decoupling circuits in traditional IPT systems with multiple outputs. This study first analyzes the CC/CV output theory of the proposed SIDO IPT system in detail, and designs and optimizes the parameters by establishing an equivalent model. Then, the conditions for achieving zero‐voltage switching (ZVS) operation of the inverter are obtained by analyzing the sensitivity of CC/CV performance to the variation of the compensation capacitors. Finally, a verification experimental prototype with 2.5A CC output and 72 V CV output is established to verify the effectiveness of the proposed IPT system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Constant voltage (CV) charging and efficiency improvement are the most basic and main targets to be achieved in inductive power transfer (IPT) systems. However, efficiency may be jeopardized as battery charging progresses, especially under a light-load condition, which accounts for most of the charging time. Traditional maximum-efficiency tracking (MET) control provides an effective solution to the above issues. However, MET control not only brings the difficulties of complicated control and increased cost/volume, but also increases the additional power losses because of the introduction of additional converters or hard-switching in dual-shift phase control. To address the above difficulty, a light-load efficiency improvement (LLEI) technique is presented in this study. Under a heavy-load condition, both the inverter and rectifier operate in conventional full-bridge mode with satisfactory efficiency. Under a light-load condition, both the rectifier and inverter are reconfigured as a voltage-doubler rectifier and half-bridge inverter, respectively, to achieve two targets: one is to keep the charging voltage roughly unchanged, and the other is to force the equivalent load resistance (ELR) approach to the optimal point to improve system power transfer efficiency. A demonstrative experimental prototype with a charging voltage of 60 V is constructed and tested to validate the LLEI method proposed in this study. The experimental results show that the proposal can ensure stable CV charging and significantly improve the system efficiency under a light-load condition over the whole charging process. Cellulose nanofiber (CNF), a natural polymer material with a high specific surface area, is a potential candidate for gas sensors. Here, we report Au/SnO2 composites with excellent performance synthesized by a chemical precipitation method based on CNF-assisted synthesis, and a series of Au/SnO2 composites were prepared by adjusting the Au content. The sensitivity of the 1.5 wt.% Au/SnO2 sensor to a low concentration of 1 ppm NO2 was 53, nearly 17 times higher than that of pure SnO2 synthesized by CNF, under ultraviolet (UV) irradiation at a wavelength of 365 nm. The crystal structure of the composite was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), revealing that the composites had high crystallinity and particles reaching the nanoscale. Further experimental data showed that the CNF-assisted synthesis Au/SnO2 sensors had good selectivity, repeatability, and stability. Cellulose is a common natural polymer, and the surface of the nanocellulose has a large number of hydroxyl groups, which is possible used to precipitate metal salts to obtain the precursors, and then calcine to get the corresponding metal oxides. In this paper, tin dioxide (SnO2) nanoparticles were prepared with different amounts of nanocellulose by a low-temperature hydrothermal method (60°C) followed by calcination. The obtained material was verified to be impurity-free SnO2 nanoparticles by various types of physical phase analysis and morphological characterization. The SnO2 nanoparticles obtained from 50 mg nanocellulose exhibited a significantly improved sensing performance, and the response toward SO2 at 1 ppm was 4.68. In addition, multiple performance tests were conducted on the obtained gas sensor, and it was finally found to have a good gas sensitivity and an excellent selectivity. The repeatability and stability also presented preferable results. Additionally, the sensing mechanism was discussed. In this study, high-carbon ferrochrome slag powder produced by grinding was used to replace different proportions of cement, and the effect of the amount of ferrochrome slag powder on the physical and mechanical properties of ferrochrome-slag-cement composites was analyzed. Water-cooled ferrochrome slag with a particle size of <5 mm was optimized to replace part of river sand as fine aggregate, and air-cooled ferrochrome slag with a particle size of >5 mm was used to completely replace coarse aggregate to prepare ferrochrome-slag-based concretes. The microstructure of ferrochrome-slag-cement composites was analyzed by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and thermogravimetry–differential scanning calorimetry analysis. The compressive strength, water absorption, and aggregate–slurry interface bonding properties of ferrochrome-slag-based concrete were studied. The results demonstrate that a ferrochrome slag powder amount of 15% leads to the highest performance of ferrochrome-slag-cement composite material, and the fluidity ratio of ferrochrome-slag-cement mortar is 103, higher than reference samples. Furthermore, the compressive strengths of ferrochrome slag concretes are 15.8% and 3.6% higher than conventional concrete, and the water absorption of ferrochrome slag low-carbon concrete is better than that of conventional concrete. The interface bonding structure between concrete aggregate and slurry was optimized. This research can provide a reference for studying the application of ferrochrome slag, both the feasibility of high-carbon ferrochrome slag powder as supplementary cementitious material and the application of ferrochrome slag as concrete aggregate, and it can help to achieve the purpose of saving energy and reducing carbon emissions. The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of increasing inclusion levels of the mixture of Bacillus subtilis and essential oils (BSEO) on production, hatching performance, egg quality, serum antioxidant capacity, immune response, and hormone levels of laying hens. A total of 768 24-wk-old layers were randomly allotted into 4 treatments with 6 replicates of 32 birds each replicate. The experiment lasted for 84 d, and the birds were fed a basal diet (CON) or diets with BSEO at 300 (BSEO-1), 600 (BSEO-2), and 900 mg/kg (BSEO-3) in the other 3 groups, respectively. As the BSEO level increased, egg production (linear, p <.05), yolk index (linear, p <.01), glutathione peroxidase activity (linear, p <.01), total antioxidant capacity (linear, p <.01), oestradiol level (linear, p <.01), the value luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone (linear, p <.05) increased in a linear manner. Hatchability (linear and quadratic, p <.01), hatchability of fertile of eggs (linear and quadratic, p <.05), avian influenza virus antibody level (linear, p <.01; quadratic, p <.05), parathyroid hormone level (linear and quadratic, p <.01) in the serum increased linearly and quadratically. Taken together, dietary with BSEO in laying hens could significantly improve egg production, hatchability, and hatchability of fertile eggs, which were associated with an enhancement of antioxidant capacity and the level of AIV-Ab in the serum. This study provided evidence of using BSEO as a potential feed additive for laying hens. Dietary supplementation of BSEO decreased the feed conversion ratio and eggshell thickness of laying hens. Dietary supplementation of BSEO improved the egg weight, fertility, hatchability, hatchability of fertile eggs, and yolk index of laying hens. To investigate the supplemental effects of Bacillus subtilis C‐3102 on the production, hatching performance, egg quality, serum antioxidant capacity and immune response of laying breeders, a total of 480 Xuefeng black‐bone (25‐week‐old) hens were randomly assigned into four treatment groups: Hens fed the basal diets with 0 (CON), 3.0 × 105 (BS‐1), 6.0 × 105 cfu/g (BS‐2) and 9.0 × 105 (BS‐3) cfu/g of B. subtilis C‐3102. As the B. subtilis C‐3102 level increased, egg weight (linear, p < 0.01; quadratic, p = 0.003), fertility (linear, p = 0.021; quadratic, p = 0.059), hatchability (linear, p = 0.038; quadratic, p = 0.119) and yolk colour (linear, p = 0.006; quadratic, p = 0.021) increased in a linear or quadratic manner. Yolk index increased quadratically (linear, p = 0.054; quadratic, p = 0.017), and eggshell thickness (linear, p = 0.036; quadratic, p = 0.128), the activity of GSH‐Px (linear, p = 0.024; quadratic, p = 0.078), the concentration of IgM (linear, p = 0.016; quadratic, p = 0.056) and the level of AIV‐Ab (linear, p = 0.034; quadratic, p = 0.103) in the serum increased linearly as dietary supplementation of B. subtilis C‐3102 increased. The results showed that dietary treatments did not affect egg production, feed conversion ratio, egg mass, hatchability of fertile eggs, eggshell‐breaking strength, egg‐shape index, yolk percentage, Haugh unit, T‐SOD, T‐AOC, MDA, IgA and IgG concentrations and the level of NDV‐Ab in the serum. In conclusion, dietary supplementation of 9.0 × 105 cfu/g B. subtilis C‐3102 in laying breeders diets may be a feasible means of effectively increasing egg weight, fertility and hatchability, and improving egg quality such as eggshell thickness, yolk index and yolk colour. Besides, B. subtilis C‐3102 can enhance the activity of GSH‐Px, the concentration of IgM and the level of AIV‐Ab in the serum. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Presently, the global prevalence of myopia and high myopia reaches approximately 1.95 billion and 277 million individuals, respectively. Projections suggest that by 2050, the number of people with myopia may rise to 4.758 billion and those with high myopia to 938 million. In highly myopic eyes, the occurrence of MF is reported to be as high as 8-33%., Summary: This review comprehensively addresses the classification, pathogenesis, natural progression, concomitant pathologies, and therapeutic strategies for macular foveoschisis in highly myopic patients., Key Messages: In recent years, macular foveoschisis has emerged as a prevalent complication in individuals with high myopia, primarily resulting from the combination of inward traction by vitreoretinal adhesions and outward traction exerted by posterior scleral staphyloma on the retina. While some maintain partial visual stability over an extended period, others may progress to macular holes or even retinal detachment. For highly myopic patients with macular foveoschisis, the mainstay procedures are vitrectomy, macular buckle, and posterior scleral reinforcement. Hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity are of paramount importance in surface chemistry. In this study, a solvent-controlled synthesis of hydrophilic and hydrophobic carbon dots (CDs) was prepared via a solvothermal process using pentafluorobenzyl alcohol as the carbon source in either deionized water or N , N -dimethylformamide (DMF) medium. By simply varying the reaction solvent to control the doping of nitrogen and fluorine elements, the hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity of the CDs could be regulated. Hydrophobic and hydrophilic CDs showed blue and green light under a UV lamp, respectively. Besides, we regulated the volume ratio of water/DMF (1 : 2, 1 : 1 and 2 : 1) in the reaction solvent to prepare amphiphilic CDs and further studied their hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity. Furthermore, the sensitivity of hydrophobic CDs to water was investigated. In water detection, the photoluminescent intensity of the blue peak and green peak showed high linearity within the water content of 4-80% and 10-80%, respectively (limit of detection = 0.08%, v/v, in DMF).
