Dielectric capacitors, which can achieve tremendous power density and ultrafast charge/discharge speed, are crucial components for high power equipment. Yet, the synchronous achievement in high recoverable energy density (Wrec) and high efficiency (η) is a long‐term difficulty for dielectric ceramics. Herein, the (0.85 − x)NaNbO3–0.15BaTiO3–xBi(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3 (NN–BT–xBMT) relaxor ferroelectric ceramics were proposed and studied. The doping of BMT was conducive to promoting the microstructure and bandgap and improving the dielectric relaxation properties of NN–BT ceramics. Finally, the sample of x = 0.10 presented a high Wrec of 5.9 J/cm3 and a high η of 90% simultaneously. In addition, the sample also exhibited superb charge/discharge performances with large power density (PD = 137 MW/cm3) and fast charge/discharge speed (t0.9 = 39 ns). Ceramic capacitors are receiving increasing interest because of their applications in pulsed-power devices. The perovskite oxide Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 (BNT)-based ferroelectric ceramics are regarded as prospective lead-free candidate for dielectric capacitors because of the high polarization and outstanding relaxor behaviour. Herein, the relaxor ferroelectric (0.7−x)Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3–0.3SrTiO3–xCa0.7Sm0.2TiO3 ceramics synthesized through solid-state route and exhibited pseudocubic perovskite structure and strong relaxor behaviour. With increasing Ca0.7Sm0.2TiO3 content, the moderate permittivity and reduced grain size contributed to the monotonically increased electric breakdown strength. Among prepared samples, the x = 0.2 ceramic displayed slimmer polarization-electric field curves with a remarkable recoverable energy density (~6.8 J/cm3) and a satisfied efficiency (~82.2%) under external electric field of 450 kV/cm. Moreover, the x = 0.2 ceramic also exhibited a superb thermal reliability of energy storage properties (3.9–4.5 J/cm3 with variation of 13.3% in 25–160 °C) resulting from the diffuse phase transition. In this paper, nine different carbon fiber laminates containing clusters are designed using the ant colony ACO algorithm, which have similar equivalent bending stiffnesses and B‐matrices, with the differences being the fiber orientation of the clusters and the position of the clusters in the laminates. The dynamic mechanical characterization of laminates for low velocity impact (LVI) at three different energies was carried out by means of a falling weight impact experiment. The experimental results show that the main form of failure of the laminate is delamination failure at low energy impacts, and shear fracture becomes more and more obvious with the elevation of the impact energy, which was observed in detail by the stereo microscope and electron microscope. The damage area of the laminate and the force and displacement curves after 30 J energy impact were compared by x‐ray scanning to derive the effects of the angle of the ply cluster fibers and the different positions of the ply clusters in the laminate on the impact resistance of the laminate. In conclusion, when designing the laminate, consideration should be given to designing 45° clusters on the impacted side and 90° clusters in the middle layer of the laminate to obtain the best impact resistance. Vibration signal analysis is regarded as a fundamental approach in diagnosing faults in rolling bearings, and recent advancements have shown notable progress in this domain. However, the presence of substantial background noise often results in the masking of these fault signals, posing a significant challenge for researchers. In response, an adaptive denoising autoencoder (ADAE) approach is proposed in this paper. The data representations are learned by the encoder through convolutional layers, while the data reconstruction is performed by the decoder using deconvolutional layers. Both the encoder and decoder incorporate adaptive shrinkage units to simulate denoising functions, effectively removing interfering information while preserving sensitive fault features. Additionally, dropout regularization is applied to sparsify the network and prevent overfitting, thereby enhancing the overall expressive power of the model. To further enhance ADAE's noise resistance, shortcut connections are added. Evaluation using publicly available datasets under scenarios with known and unknown noise demonstrates that ADAE effectively enhances the signal-to-noise ratio in strongly noisy backgrounds, facilitating accurate diagnosis of faults in rolling bearings. A numerical model was established by using ABAQUS for a police riot suit which was composed of nylon, foam polyethylene and sandwich board under low energy impact provided by 7.5 kg ball head impact assembly. The impact force and the energy absorbed by the riot suit are numerically analyzed, and the structure of the riot suit is improved. The results show that the peak impact force of the improved riot suit is reduced by 11.7%, and the energy absorbed by the improved riot suit is increased by 12.1%. The accuracy of the numerical model is verified by comparing the low energy impact test of the riot suit. The obtained results can provide theoretical guidance for the structural design of the police riot suit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to reasonably reduce the perceptible recoil of firearms, and design a recoil reduction device that can be commonly used in automatic rifles, semi-automatic rifles, and machine guns, a balancing mechanism for recoil reduction technology was proposed in this paper. With the perceptible recoil generated by the impact from automat to the balance mechanism as the objective function, the parametric analysis of the mass of the balance weight and the spring stiffness of the balance mechanism was conducted. The analysis showed that the influence of the mass of the balance weight on the reduction of the perceptible recoil of the balance mechanism is obviously greater than that of the spring stiffness of the balance mechanism within the allowable ranges of the two factors. The research results provide a reference for gun recoil reduction technology.

The muzzle response is the main feature affecting the firing accuracy of weapons. To research the muzzle response characteristics of small unmanned ground vehicles with small arms (SUGVsSA) during shooting, this paper designs a test method that combines an inertial measurement system (IMS) with a high-speed photogrammetric system (HSPS) to measure the muzzle response. That is, an inertial measurement unit (IMU) is fixed onto the gun body to record the three-dimensional angular motion of the barrel; meanwhile, a high-speed camera is used to capture the characteristic markers of the unmanned ground vehicle from the side. After data processing, the muzzle response curves during four consecutive firings when the vehicle is running at different speeds and firing angles are obtained. Considering the presence of noise in muzzle response signals, the wavelet threshold de-noising (WTD) algorithm based on a novel variable threshold function is used to de-noise the test signal. The processing results demonstrate that the WTD algorithm based on the novel variable threshold function can not only suppress noise in the muzzle response signal but also retain the local details of the signal. The combination of the IMS and HSPS complements the muzzle response data and can comprehensively and accurately reflect the muzzle response characteristics of SUGVsSA. As the vehicle speed and firing angle increase, the muzzle vibration intensifies, only when the vehicle speed is 0.3 m/s, and the muzzle maximum elevation angle displacement after each firing decreases when it is stationary. The results presented in this paper may provide a workable reference for understanding the muzzle response characteristics of SUGVsSA and evaluating the firearm compatibility of other unmanned systems.
