Sichuan hilly area is located in southwest China, which have many hilly area, is a densely populated, economically active, frequent geological disasters area. In this paper, Neijiang City in the region is taken as the test sample. This article, which analyzes Land-Use and Land-Cover Changes (LUCC), meteorological and hydrological data from 2015 to 2020, takes Neijiang City in this region as the research object. We explored the relationship between geological disasters such as collapse and landslides that often occur in the natural ecological environment with LUCC and meteorological and hydrological factors, using GIS spatial analysis and statistical analysis methods. The research results indicate that geological disasters mainly occur in farmland areas. The density of geological disaster points is highest within urban areas, making them the most prone to geological disasters. Geological disasters are more densely distributed in the area within 600 to 800 m from the river. There is a strong correlation between the average rainfall amount and the probability of geological disasters occurring. This study provides a scientific basis for the geological disaster risk assessment, prevention and control in this region. It has certain reference significance for the ecological environment governance, land resources planning and management in other similar regions.

There are many hilly areas dominated by red sandstone in western China. At the same time, China is also rapidly advancing the modernization of sustainable development in the abovementioned areas. Therefore, in order to ensure the safety and sustainable advancement of modernization, it has become an urgent task for the local government to explore the mechanical properties of red sandstone in relevant areas. Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province, China, is mainly dominated by red sandstone, and the study of red sandstone in this area is very rare. Therefore, this paper takes the red sandstone in Zhongjiang County as the research object and studies the damage evolution characteristics of red sandstone under the uniaxial compression load using the acoustic emission monitoring technology. The results show that when the axial stress of red sandstone shows a V-shaped evolution phenomenon and the acoustic emission ringing count enters a relatively quiet period, it indicates that the red sandstone will undergo instability failure. By exploring the evolution law of Ф (AF (ringing count/duration)/RA (rise time/amplitude)), the evolution characteristics of fracture types of red sandstone in the process of damage were found. Based on Weibull function and continuum damage mechanics, the damage evolution model and stress–strain constitutive model are derived. Based on the evolution law of damage variables, the damage evolution characteristics of red sandstone are quantitatively characterized. To tackle the global energy scarcity and environmental degradation, developing efficient electrocatalysts is essential for achieving sustainable hydrogen production via water splitting. Modulating the d‐band center of transition metal electrocatalysts is an effective approach to regulate the adsorption energy of intermediates, alter reaction pathways, lower the energy barrier of the rate‐determining step, and ultimately improve electrocatalytic water splitting performance. In this review, a comprehensive overview of the recent advancements in modulating the d‐band center for enhanced electrocatalytic water splitting is offered. Initially, the basics of the d‐band theory are discussed. Subsequently, recent modulation strategies that aim to boost electrocatalytic activity, with particular emphasis on the d‐band center as a key indicator in water splitting are summarized. Lastly, the importance of regulating electrocatalytic activity through d‐band center, along with the challenges and prospects for improving electrocatalytic water splitting performance by fine‐tuning the transition metal d‐band center, are provided. In this study, aiming at the practical application of additional layer excavation technology in the renewal and reconstruction of old urban communities, the influence of different excavation methods on the settlement behavior of existing structures is deeply analyzed through numerical simulation experiments. It is found that the frame columns show basin-type settlement in the block layered excavation, basin excavation and central island excavation. The cumulative settlement of the middle column is the largest, and the corner column is the smallest. The settlement phenomenon is mainly concentrated around the frame columns Z6, Z7, Z10 and Z11, and the change law of the cumulative settlement value conforms to the linear function distribution. By defining the cumulative settlement rate (a) as an index to measure the influence degree of the existing structure, it is found that the a value of the middle column is the largest, the side column is the second and the corner column is the smallest, and the a value of block layered excavation is the largest, and the central island excavation is the smallest. Considering the construction period, block layered excavation may be a more appropriate choice. The comparative analysis of the research results and the model experiment results confirms the feasibility of the improved model experiment, provides an important theoretical basis and practical guidance for the renewal and transformation of old urban communities and is of great significance for improving the utilization efficiency and safety of existing buildings. The increasing problem of urban traffic congestion has led to the extensive use of underground tunnels. However, tunnel lining cracks pose a major threat to the integrity and safety of the structure. Although the traditional repair method is effective, it often requires higher construction technology and higher cost, and may cause damage to the concrete structure. In this study, microbial-induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) was combined with basalt fiber cloth to repair and reinforce tunnel lining cracks. Bacillus pasteurii was used to optimize the microbial mineralization process, and the effectiveness of the method on cracks with different widths was evaluated using a water seepage test. In addition, the mechanical properties of the reinforced tunnel lining were tested. The microbial mineralization process effectively repaired cracks with widths of 1 mm, 2 mm, and 3 mm. The use of unidirectional basalt fiber cloth increased the bearing capacity of the strengthened member by 12.5%. The combined reinforcement method also enhances the deflection performance and alleviates the influence of water seepage on the bonding performance. This innovative and sustainable approach not only provides an effective solution for the repair of tunnel lining cracks, but also contributes to the broader field of eco-friendly building materials. The Sichuan Basin in China is one of the most concentrated areas of red beds in China. In the red-bed area, abundant rainfall can easily cause natural disasters, such as landslides, mudslides, collapses, and subsidence. This has had a great impact on the safety of people and property and sustainable modernization in the area. Zhongjiang County of Sichuan Province is a typical red-bed area, and red sandstone is one of the main foundation rocks in this area. Under the influence of rainfall, the strength of red sandstone foundation easily decays, causing disasters such as house collapse. Therefore, in order to explore the influence of rainfall on the mechanical properties of red sandstone, this paper takes the red sandstone in Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province, China, as the research object and conducts acoustic-emission uniaxial compression experiments under different water contents. The strength characteristics, instability precursor characteristics, fracture types, and damage characteristics of red sandstone in different water-bearing states are obtained. The abovementioned results provide a reference for the Zhongjiang County Government to consider the impact of rainfall on the red sandstone foundation during modernization and emergency management. The surface reconstruction of electrochemically activated catalysts is an effective way to improve performance. However, there is currently a dearth of study on the surface reconstruction of silicide catalysts for hydrogen evolution reactions (HER). Here, a new HER electrocatalyst, LaRuSi3, is synthesized and electrochemically triggered it to produce Ru clusters on its surface. Experimental data and theoretical simulations reveal that Ru clusters optimize the charge distribution of LaRuSi3, which promotes the adsorption of water by Ru sites and improves the adsorption of hydrogen by Si sites. The conductivity and electrochemical active sites of the catalysts are also enhanced. The catalyst has an overpotential of 45 mV to attain a current density of 10 mA cm−2 in alkaline media, which exceeds the majority of other Ru‐based compounds. Photocatalysis is an effective technique to remove antibiotic residues from aquatic environments. Typical metal sulfides like Zn3In2S6 have been applied to a wide range of photocatalytic applications. However, there are currently no readily accessible methods to increase its antibiotic‐degrading activity. Here, a facile hydrothermal approach is developed for the preparation of flower‐like Zn3In2S6 with tunable sulfur lattice defects. Photogenerated carriers can be separated and transferred more easily when there is an adequate amount of lattice defects. Moreover, lattice defect‐induced electronic modulation enhances light utilization and adsorption properties. The modified Zn3In2S6 demonstrates outstanding photocatalytic degradation activity for levofloxacin, ofloxacin, and tetracycline. Many ethnic minority autonomous regions in China, mainly in mountainous areas, have caused great harm to people's life and property safety due to frequent geological disasters. Therefore, it has become an urgent task for the government to create a system for predicting, preventing and effectively responding to disasters, and to strengthen the ability of relevant regions to jointly resist disasters. This paper takes Mabian Yi Autonomous County as the research object, and studies the disaster management of Mabian Yi Autonomous County. The research focuses on geological disaster vulnerability evaluation, geological disaster hazard evaluation, geological disaster risk evaluation, and geological disaster carrying capacity evaluation. The two elements of geological disaster risk evaluation are vulnerability evaluation and hazard evaluation. The main element of geological disaster carrying capacity evaluation is risk evaluation. Through evaluation, it is found that the central and eastern regions of Mabian Yi Autonomous County can be used as population concentration areas and develop modern agriculture and tourism. The western and northeastern regions can be used as nature reserves. Based on the above evaluation results, the disaster management opinions of Mabian Yi Autonomous County are given. This makes the government have a certain reference basis in the preparation of regional construction policy planning. From the perspective of unique disaster management, this paper provides the government with a political governance model for ethnic minority areas through the harmonious development of man and nature, to achieve a goal of sustainable development. Cobalt phosphosulphide (CoPS) has recently been recognized as a potentially effective electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). However, there have been no research on the design of CoPS‐based heterojunctions to boost their HER performance. Herein, CoPS/Co4S3 heterojunction was prepared by phosphating treatment based on defect‐rich flower‐like Co1‐xS precursors. The high specific surface area of nanopetals, together with the heterojunction structure with inhomogeneous strain, exposes more active sites in the catalyst. The electronic structure of the catalyst is reconfigured as a result of the interfacial interactions, which promote the catalyst's ability to adsorb hydrogen and conduct electricity. The synergistic effect of the Co and S dual‐site further enhance the catalytic activity. The catalyst has overpotentials of 61 and 70 mV to attain a current density of 10 mA cm−2 in acidic and alkaline media, respectively, which renders it competitive with previously reported analogous catalysts. This work proposes an effective technique for constructing transition metal phosphosulfide heterojunctions, as well as the development of an efficient HER electrocatalyst. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The exploration of new heterojunction materials is of great significance in reducing the cost of existing noble metal catalysts and thus realizing the large-scale application of electrocatalytic hydrolysis technology. Herein, a novel CoP/CoMoP2 heterojunction was synthesized and served as a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) electrocatalyst. The heterojunction has morphology of nanoporous structure, which is conducive to exposing more active sites and facilitating bubbles transport. The charge distribution is optimized by a strong interface interaction between CoP and CoMoP2. The catalyst's conductivity and the adsorption properties of the intermediates have both been enhanced. CoP/CoMoP2 demonstrates excellent HER activity with an overpotential of 93.6 mV at 10 mA·cm−2, which is competitive with the reported performance of analogous electrocatalysts. A defect-enriched PdMo bimetallene (d-PdMo) was prepared by a one-pot wet chemical reaction followed by post-treatment of oxidative etching. The introduction of defects can tailor the electronic structure of PdMo bimetallene and the prepared d-PdMo bimetallene exhibited excellent performance in the ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) and 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) reduction reaction. The fabrication of heterojunctions is an intriguing approach to boost the reactivity of catalysts. However, facile preparation of desirable heterojunction materials remains a challenge. Here, novel CoPS3/CoS2 heterojunctions are created by an intuitive phosphatization process on the basis of structurally flexible cobalt sulfide precursors. Significant stress effect exists at these heterogeneous interfaces, resulting in lattice distortions and the exposure of more active sites. The interface interaction also modifies the catalyst's electronic structure to improve its electrical conductivity and hydrogen adsorption capabilities. Notably, the overpotential of the CoPS3/CoS2 heterojunction for electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction is just 36.3 mV, which is far superior to those of single‐component catalysts and competitive with comparable catalysts reported.
