Bulk black phosphorous (bP) exhibits excellent infrared (IR) optoelectronic properties, but most reported bP IR photodetectors are fabricated from single exfoliated flakes with lateral sizes of < 100 µm. Here, scalable thin films of bP suitable for IR photodetector arrays are realized through a tailored solution‐deposition method. The properties of the bP film and their protective capping layers are optimized to fabricate bP IR photoconductors exhibiting specific detectivities up to 4.0 × 108 cm Hz1/2 W−1 with fast 30/60 µs rise/fall times under λ = 2.2 µm illumination. The scalability of the bP thin film fabrication is demonstrated by fabricating a linear array of 25 bP photodetectors and obtaining 25 × 25 pixel IR images at ≈203 ppi with good spatial fidelity. This research demonstrates a commercially viable method of fabricating scalable bP thin films for optoelectronic devices including room temperature‐operable IR photodetector arrays. Background: Accumulating studies have revealed altered brain function and structure in regions linked to sensory, pain and emotion in individuals with primary dysmenorrhea (PD). However, the changes in the topological properties of the brain's functional connectome in patients with PD experiencing chronic pain remain poorly understood. Purpose: Our study aimed to explore the mechanism of functional brain network impairment in individuals withPD through a graph-theoretic analysis. Material and Methods: This study was a randomized controlled trial that included individuals with PD and healthy controls (HC) from June 2021 to June 2022. The experiment took place in the magnetic resonance imaging facility at Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital. Static MRI scans were conducted on 23 female patients with PD and 23 healthy female controls. A two-sample t-test was conducted to compare the global and nodal indices between the two groups, while the Network-Based Statistics (NBS) method was utilized to explore the functional connectivity alterations between the groups. Results: In the global index, The PD group exhibited decreased Sigma (p = 0.0432) and Gamma (p = 0.0470) compared to the HC group among the small-world network properties.(p< 0.05) In the nodal index, the PD group displayed reduced betweenness centrality and increased degree centrality in the default mode network (DMN), along with decreased nodal efficiency and increased degree centrality in the visual network (VN). (P < 0.05, Bonferroni-corrected) Furthermore, in the connection analysis, PD patients showed altered functional connectivity in the basal ganglia network (BGN), VN, and DMN.(NBS corrected). Conclusion: Our results indicate that individuals with PD showed abnormal brain network efficiency and abnormal connection within DMN, VN and BGN related to pain matrix. Background: Previous imaging studies have demonstrated that diabetic retinopathy (DR) is linked to structural and functional abnormalities in the brain. However, the extent to which DR patients exhibit abnormal neurovascular coupling remains largely unknown. Methods: Thirty-one patients with DR and 31 sex- and age-matched healthy controls underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) to calculate functional connectivity strength (FCS) and arterial spin-labeling imaging (ASL) to calculate cerebral blood flow (CBF). The study compared CBF-FCS coupling across the entire grey matter and CBF/FCS ratios (representing blood supply per unit of connectivity strength) per voxel between the two groups. Additionally, a support vector machine (SVM) method was employed to differentiate between diabetic retinopathy (DR) patients and healthy controls (HC). Results: In DRpatients compared to healthy controls, there was a reduction in CBF-FCS coupling across the entire grey matter. Specifically, DR patients exhibited elevated CBF/FCS ratios primarily in the primary visual cortex, including the right calcarine fissure and surrounding cortex. On the other hand, reduced CBF/FCS ratios were mainly observed in premotor and supplementary motor areas, including the left middle frontal gyrus. Conclusion: An elevated CBF/FCS ratio suggests that patients with DR may have a reduced volume of gray matter in the brain. A decrease in its ratio indicates a decrease in regional CBF in patients with DR. These findings suggest that neurovascular decoupling in the visual cortex, as well as in the supplementary motor and frontal gyrus, may represent a neuropathological mechanism in diabetic retinopathy. Controlled functionalization of 2D black phosphorus (BP) nanosheets provides unique opportunities to tune their chemical, physical, and electronic properties. Herein, the preparation of single‐atom nickel‐doped BP (Ni–BP) sheets using a simple solution‐based strategy is reported. Using the Ni–BP sheets as a passivation layer on top of a perovskite film leads to standard perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with improved performance. The standard n–i–p PSCs with the Ni–BP interlayer achieve maximum power conversion efficiencies of over 22%, with negligible hysteresis and a modest improvement in stability when subjected to different testing conditions. The perovskite films prepared with Ni–BP sheets‐based passivation are found to have reduced defect densities as well as improved charge‐transfer properties and carrier lifetimes. Density‐functional theory calculations support the experimental results through showing that the atomic Ni‐doping increases the work function of the BP interlayer, enabling better hole extraction, as well as increasing the surface hydrophobicity of the BP layer, hence reducing water sorption into the perovskite film. Zinc ion batteries (ZIBs) have recently attracted tremendous interest for being low‐cost, environmentally benign, and high energy density. However, the large‐scale practical application of ZIBs is hampered by well‐known undesirable dendrite growth and serious side reactions of the Zn anode during the long‐term cycling process. Herein, a multifunctional water‐glass artificial protection layer with enormous Si─O functional groups is constructed on Zn anode through a simple spin‐coating method. The theoretical and experimental investigation suggests that the as‐constructed interface with rich Si─O hydrophilic functional groups on Zn anode could facilitate the even distribution of electric field distribution and homogeneous wettability, navigate uniform zinc deposition/stripping along the (002) plane, and subsequently lead to well‐suppressed dendrite growth and effective prohibition of oxygen‐involved corrosion. Consequently, the water glass‐modified anode achieves highly reversible Zn plating/stripping over 1500 h at a high current density of 10 mA cm−2 in symmetrical cells, and a high capacity retention ratio of 79.4% at the current density of 5 A g−1 in full cells paired with V2O5 cathode. This proposed water glass coating layer design is cheap, up‐scalable, and facile, which could substantially accelerate the rapid commercialization of zinc anodes and unleash the full potential of renewable ZIBs for next‐generation large‐scale energy storage. One of the most unique properties of two‐dimensional carbides and nitrides of transition metals (MXenes) is their excellent water dispersibility and yet possessing superior electrical conductivity but their industrial‐scale application is limited by their costly chemical synthesis methods. In this work, the niche feature of MXenes was capitalized in the packed‐bed electrochemical reactor to produce MXenes at an unprecedented reaction rate and yield with minimal chemical waste. A simple NH4F solution was employed as the green electrolyte, which could be used repeatedly without any loss in its efficacy. Surprisingly, both fluoride and ammonium were found to play critical roles in the electrochemical etching, functionalization, and expansion of the layered parent materials (MAXs) through which the liberation of ammonia gas was observed. The electrochemically produced MXenes with excellent conductivity, applied as supercapacitor electrodes, could deliver an ultrahigh volumetric capacity (1408 F cm−3) and a volumetric energy density (75.8 Wh L−1). This revolutionary green, energy‐efficient, and scalable electrochemical route will not only pave the way for industrial‐scale production of MXenes but also open up a myriad of versatile electrochemical modifications for improved functional MXenes. Lithium‐sulfur (Li‐S) batteries have been regarded as promising next‐generation energy storage systems due to their high energy density and low cost, but their practical application is hindered by inferior long‐cycle stability caused by the severe shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) and sluggish reaction kinetics. This study reports a La2O3‐MXene heterostructure embedded in carbon nanofiber (CNF) (denoted as La2O3‐MXene@CNF) as a sulfur (S) host to address the above issues. The unique features of this heterostructure endow the sulfur host with synergistic catalysis during the charging and discharging processes. The strong adsorption ability provided by the La2O3 domain can capture sufficient LiPSs for the subsequent catalytic conversion, and the insoluble thiosulfate intermediate produced by hydroxyl terminal groups on the surface of MXene greatly promotes the rapid conversion of LiPSs to Li2S via a "Wackenroder reaction." Therefore, the S cathode with La2O3‐MXene@CNF (La2O3‐MXene@CNF/S) exhibits excellent cycling stability with a low capacity fading rate of 0.031% over 1000 cycles and a high capacity of 857.9 mAh g−1 under extremely high sulfur loadings. Furthermore, a 5 Ah‐level pouch cell is successfully assembled for stable cycling, which delivers a high specific energy of 341.6 Wh kg−1 with a low electrolyte/sulfur ratio (E/S ratio).
