Abstract

The regional source–grid–load friendly interaction and precision regulation of adjustable resources with high sensitivity provide important support for the development of a new power system, improving its regulation ability and efficiency and promoting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Therefore, a precision regulation strategy for a regional source–grid–load friendly interaction based on a double-layer sensitivity model is proposed in this paper. Firstly, from the two perspectives of power grid-application requirements and power node-adjustable resources, the overall implementation process of the double-layer sensitivity analysis method is described, and the layered logic architecture of the precision regulation platform for regional source–grid–load friendly interaction is constructed in order to realize and apply the proposed double-layer sensitivity model and precision-regulation strategy. Secondly, the first-layer power transmission line-sensitivity analysis model is proposed for the power grid side to obtain the power transmission line-sensitivity matrix. A fine-grained second-layer adjustable resources sensitivity-analysis model is further established for the diversified adjustable resource aggregated under the power node to complete the quantitative ranking of adjustable resource-regulation sensitivity. Then, the application process of double-layer sensitivity analysis results is designed in detail, and the regulation sequence and regulation quantity of source and load are defined. Finally, taking a power system with seven lines, five power nodes, two power sources, and seven types of adjustable resources as an example, the effectiveness and rationality of the proposed model and strategy are verified. The results indicate that the proposed precise regulation strategy can accurately select high-sensitivity power nodes and effectively sort high-sensitivity adjustable resources when solving the multiple scenarios' application needs of power grids. Abstract

In clinical drug sensitivity experiments, it is necessary to plate culture pathogenic bacteria and pick suitable colonies for bacterial solution preparation, which is a process that is currently carried out completely by hand. Moreover, the problems of plate contamination, a long culture period, and large image annotation in colony plate image acquisition can lead to a small amount of usable data. To address the issues mentioned above, we adopt a deep learning approach and conduct experiments on the AGAR dataset. We propose to use style transfer to extend the trainable dataset and successfully obtain 4k microbial colony images using this method. In addition, we introduce the Swin Transformer as a feature extraction network in the Cascade Mask R-CNN model architecture to better extract the feature information of the images. After our experimental comparison, the model achieves a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 61.4% at the Intersection over Union (IoU) [0.50:0.95]. This performance surpasses that of the Cascade R-CNN with HRNet, which is the top-performing model in experiments conducted on the AGAR dataset, by a margin of 2.2%. Furthermore, we perform experiments using YOLOv8x on the AGAR dataset, which results in a mAP of 76.7%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Background: The vascular endothelial cells are important targets of radiotherapy, which may be involved in the pathogenesis of radiation pneumonitis (RP). This study investigated the variations of circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) and transforming growth factor-beta-1 (TGF-β1) during three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and analyzed the correlation between these variations with the occurrence of RP.Patients and Methods: From November 2008 to November 2009, eighty-four consecutive patients receiving 3D-CRT for stage III disease were evaluated prospectively. Circulating EPCs and TGF-β1 levels were measured at baseline, every 2 weeks during, and at the end of treatment. RP was evaluated prospectively at 6 weeks after 3D-CRT.Results: Thirty-eight patients (47.5%) experienced score 1 or more of RP. The baseline levels of EPCs and TGF-β1 were analyzed, no difference was found between patients with and without RP during and after 3D-CRT. By serial measurement of TGF-β1 and EPCs levels, we found that the mean levels of EPCs in the whole population remained stable during radiotherapy, but the mean levels of TGF-β1 increased slowly during radiotherapy. TGF-β1 and EPCs levels were all significantly higher at week 2, week 4 and week 6 in patients with RP than that in patients without RP, respectively. During the period of radiation treatment, TGF-β1 levels began to increase in the first 2 weeks and became significantly higher at week 6 (P < 0.01). EPCs levels also began to increase in the first 2 weeks and reached a peak at week 4. Using an ANOVA model for repeated-measures, we found significant associations between the levels of TGF-β1 and EPCs during the course of 3D-CRT and the risk of developing RP (P < 0.01). Most of the dosimetric factors showed a significant association with RP.Conclusion: Early variations of TGF-β1 and EPCs levels during 3D-CRT are significantly associated with the risk of RP. Abstract

Since microbial detection is an important aspect for the prevention and control of foodborne diseases, an ideal detection system with high sensitivity, strong specificity, and timeliness is needed. Here, we proposed a fluorescent and opt-electric recording bacterial identification device (FORBID) for fully automatic real-time photoelectric sensing analysis of microbials by integrating the metabolic characteristics of microbial and selective substrate catalysis. It simplifies the testing process (one-step) and decreases the need of professional technicians. Besides, the system exhibits ultrasensitive (1 CFU/mL) and specific detection (99%) in both microbials, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa . More importantly, the timeliness of this system is even better than that of the traditional culture methods. It is believed that this system can be extended to the detection of other microorganisms and provide a potential alternative for the detection of pathogens.
