The Ni nanorod arrays have been successfully prepared on the aluminum lattice membrane by magnetron sputtering. The morphologies, phase structures and magnetic properties of the Ni nanorod arrays have been characterized by scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. The results show that the high-density Ni nanorods are vertically aligned on the alumina substrate, and the nanorod arrays are face-centered cubic (FCC) crystal structured. The magnetic measurements indicate the magnetic properties of the arrays are excellently soft-magnetic, and its coercivity changes with the aspect ratio and annealing temperature.

To evaluate the feasibility of ammoniacal ammonium chloride system (NH 3 –NH 4 Cl) served as the electrolyte for the electrorefining process of zinc slag. The zinc anode's dissolution process in the NH 3 –NH 4 Cl solution was studied through electrochemical test, meanwhile, the effects of each component concentration of the NH 3 –NH 4 Cl electrolyte on the dissolution potential of zinc anode were investigated. The results suggested that zinc anode mainly took place active dissolution in the NH 3 –NH 4 Cl system, the apparent activation energy was 14.46 kJ mol − 1 and the exchange current density 1.48 × 10 − 4 A cm − 2 . The increment of the NH 4 Cl concentration made a little contribution on decreasing the dissolution potential of zinc anode. However, the increment of NH 3 concentration exhibited a notable effect on decreasing the dissolution potential of zinc anode. The anodic dissolution potential moved to positive-direction with the increase of Zn 2+ concentration in the NH 3 –NH 4 Cl system.
