Smartphone distraction (SD) has been reported as an important factor associated with problematic smartphone use (PSU). The present study explored the relationship between SD, PSU, and mental health problems using the newly developed Smartphone distraction Scale (SDS). A total of three hundred and twenty smartphone users (Mage = 20.30, SD = 1.67) completed a questionnaire that comprised psychometric scales for the aforementioned variables. Results showed that SD was significantly correlated with PSU, anxiety, depression and stress. PSU fully mediated the relationships from SD to anxiety and depression. PSU partially mediated the relationship between SD and stress. The four-factor SDS was reliable and obtained good model fit in confirmatory factor analysis. This study suggests that being distracted by smartphone use can be associated with mental health issues while the level of PSU might be the bridge of this link. The present study is one of very few studies to examine SD in China, which aimed to investigate the relationships between SD, PSU and mental health issues (stress, anxiety and depression), and adopt the newly developed SDS in the Chinese context. Further studies are needed to explore the complex mechanism between SD and mental health.

The position of a bone conduction (BC) transducer influences the perception of BC sound, but the relation between the stimulation position and BC sound perception is not entirely clear. In the current study, eleven participants with normal hearing were evaluated for their hearing thresholds and speech intelligibility for three stimulation positions (temple, mastoid, and condyle) and four types of ear canal occlusion produced by headphones. In addition, the sound quality for three types of music was rated with stimulation at the three positions. Stimulation at the condyle gave the best performance while the temple showed the worst performance for hearing thresholds, speech intelligibility, and sound quality. The in-ear headphones gave the highest occlusion effect while fully open headphones gave the least occlusion effect. BC stimulated speech intelligibility improved with greater occlusion, especially for the temple stimulation position. The results suggest that BC stimulation at the condyle is generally superior to the other positions tested in terms of sensitivity, clarity, and intelligibility, and that occlusion with ordinary headphones improves the BC signal. The species of genus Actinidia are economically and nutritionally important fruits with remarkably high vitamin C content. Here, we assembled and characterized the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of Actinidia fulvicoma (A. fulvicoma) using Illumina paired-end sequencing data. The cp genome is 157,339 bp in length, including a large single-copy region (LSC) of 88,741 bp, a small single-copy region (SSC) of 20,512 bp, and a pair of 24,043 bp inverted repeat (IR) regions. A total of 131 genes, consisting of 85 protein-coding genes, 38 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes, were annotated in the A. fulvicoma cp genome. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed the evolutionary position of A. fulvicoma within the genus Actinidia.

In this paper, we summarizes the development of knowledge graph related technology and the application of knowledge graph in cyberspace.

Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries are currently receiving research because they are considered as the most potential next-generation energy storage devices. Herein, hierarchically porous carbon with enriched pyridinic nitrogen (N-HPC) is fabricated via a simple acid treatment of oxide graphene, NH4+ electrostatic adsorption and subsequent thermal treatment. Benefiting from the hierarchically porous structure and high pyridinic nitrogen doping, N-HPC can improve sodium-ion storage and Li-S batteries. In the SIBs, N-HPC delivers a high reversible sodium storage capacity and an ultrahigh rate performance because the optimized surface area and optimal nitrogen doping can provide abundant active sites, defects, voids and excellent electrical/electron conductivity. Importantly, kinetic analysis and in situ Raman spectroscopy results reveal adsorption-intercalation mechanisms for Na+ storage in N-HPC. Furthermore, Li-S batteries, used N-HPC coated-separator, display high-rate capacity and excellent cycling stability because of effective physical shield, the strongest capture ability of the lithium polysulfides and low dissociated energy of Li2S. Moreover, in situ Raman spectroscopy investigation and theoretical calculation verify the effectively reduced polysulfides shuttling and electron-withdrawing pyridinic N of N-HPC.

To optimize flow condition of algal turf scrubber (ATS) system for nutrient (nitrogen and phosphorus) removal at eutrophic waterbodies, we constructed two experimental scale (2.5 m2) algal floways to test nutrient removal rates under various flow conditions via regulating flow rate and intermittent frequency of pump on/off. Results showed that the largest algal productivity and nutrient removal rate were generally obtained under the hydraulic loadings of 120 L min−1 m−1. Nutrient removal rate was high with an intermittent inflow 4 h−1, followed by 12 h−1 and 60 h−1. We estimated that a hectare-scale floway system under a flow rate of 120 L min−1 m−1 and intermittent flow 4 h−1 which would have satisfactory performance with affordable investment. This option has the greatest potential for the application of such technology in nutrient pollution abatement while producing bioresources from harvested microalgae.

The period of the end of XIX-beginning of XX cent. became the beginning of the Chinese art approach to the European art and its separate achievement – fortepiano performing and composing art.

An accurate estimation of the state of charge (SOC) of the battery is of great significance for safe and efficient energy utilization of electric vehicles. Given the nonlinear dynamic system of the lithium-ion battery, the parameters of the second-order RC equivalent circuit model were calibrated and optimized using a nonlinear least squares algorithm in the Simulink parameter estimation toolbox. A comparison was made between this finite difference extended Kalman filter (FDEKF) and the standard extended Kalman filter in the SOC estimation. The results show that the model can essentially predict the dynamic voltage behavior of the lithium-ion battery, and the FDEKF algorithm can maintain good accuracy in the estimation process and has strong robustness against modeling error.
