2. [Determination of Bi in Soils and Sediments by Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry]

Abstract

A method for determination of the contents of Bi in soils and sediments by atomic fluorescence spectrophotometry (AFS) was established by using aqua regia as the dissolved medium. In this paper, the instrument parameters, load flow and reducing agent concentration were optimized. Compared with microwave digestion and electric heating plate digestion, water bath digestion demonstrated the better digestion efficiency and was most commonly used. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the detection limit (LOD) was 0.01 mg·kg-1 (sample quantity 0.500 0 g, sample volume 50 mL), and the limit of quantitation (LOQ) was 0.04 mg·kg-1. The results were in good agreement with the centified value, and the relative error was -4.7%~-2.0%. For determination of soil and sediment actual samples, the relative standard deviation (RSD) were 2.5%~3.4% and 3.1%~3.4%, respectively, and the recoveries of the method respectively ranged from 97.6%~102% and 99.5%~104%.

Abstract

High spin states of are reinvestigated through the reaction at the beam energy of 54 MeV. Two new levels are added to the lower side of the most strongly populated band and the previously proposed 488 keV linking transition between the two observed bands is replaced by the 95 keV linking transition. As a result of these new observations, it becomes reasonable to assign the most strongly populated band in as the yrast band.

Abstract

Differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of halo nucleus 6He on proton target were measured at 82.3 MeV/u. The experimental results are well reproduced by optical model calculations using global potential KD02 with a reduction of the depth of real volume part by a factor of 0.7. A systematic analysis shows that this behavior might be related to the weakly bound property of unstable nuclei.

Abstract

Breakup reactions of the double borromean nucleus 8He were measured at 82.3 MeV/u on CH2 and C targets. The coincident detection of two decaying neutrons and the high performance for neutron cross talk rejection are realized in this experiment. The relative energy spectrum for 8He was reconstructed with good statistics. The spectrum exhibits a structure of two resonant peaks, one at an excitation energy of about 3.0 and the other at about 4.14 MeV, respectively. Substantially larger cross section for the first resonance is observed in comparison to the results reported previously.

Abstract

A new11Be(p,d) transfer reaction experiment is performed in inverse kinematics with a radioactive11Be beam at 26.9A MeV. Three low-lying states, namely the 0+ground state, the 2+state at Ex = 3.37 MeV, and the multiplet at around 6 MeV in10Be, are populated by this one-neutron transfer reaction. These three states in10Be are clearly discriminated from the Q-value spectrum, which is rebuilt from energies and angles of the recoil deuterons in coincidence with10Be. A spectroscopic factor for each state is extracted by comparing the experimental differential cross sections to the theoretical calculation results using the finite range adiabatic distorted wave approximation method with different global nucleon-nucleus potentials. It is found that the newly extracted spectroscopic factors for the 0+and 2+states are consistent with the previous ones, but the factor for the multiplet is smaller than the value in the reference, and the possible reason is discussed.
