A novel 3D Cd(II)-based luminescent metal-organic framework {[Cd(L)(bpe)0.5]·H2O}n (1) [L = 6-(3-pyridyl)isophthalic acid and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane], has been successfully assembled by a solvothermal reaction. The structure displays 4,5-connnected framework and exhibits solvent stability. More importantly, the excellent sensitivity and selectivity of compound 1 as luminescence probes for detecting CrO42−/Cr2O72− and a wide range of nitro aromatic compounds (NACs).

Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) often coexist with connective tissue disorders (CTD). The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the features of NMOSD with and without CTD. Methods NMOSD patients with (n = 18) and without CTD (n = 39) were enrolled, and the clinical, laboratory, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features of the two groups were assessed. The small-for-gestational-age (SGA) condition often causes serious problems. Therefore, identifying the risk factors for SGA is important. Traditional statistical methods such as stepwise logistic regression (LR) have been widely utilized to discover possible risk factors. However, other feature selection methods from machine learning field have rarely been employed for the task. In this paper, a comparison of five feature selection methods from both fields for SGA risk factors analysis is conducted for the first time. To evaluate their performance, four classification algorithms are used to construct SGA prediction models. The evaluation criteria are precision and the area under the receiver operator characteristic curve. Stepwise LR achieves the best performance among the five feature selection methods, because it conducts both a univariate significance test and a model significance test, which make it more suitable for handling the complex relations among features. The top 20 features selected by each feature selection method and the 27 features selected by four or five of them could assist physicians to revise traditional SGA evaluation models. Ensemble method is also exploited to build effective SGA prediction models based on the feature subsets, which is indeed superior compared with the individual ones shown in the results.

The nonlinear FEM analysis is performed to the problem of large strain nonlinear application for flexible mattress. The element with cloth type option is used to establish the FEM model for the analysis of flexible mattress. The simulation can produce correct profile of deformation, accurate distribution of stress and strain, meanwhile taking account of geometric nonlinear from large strain. The results of the paper are compared with those from the theory and in-situ test. Some valuable conclusions are made from the results analysis.

Rheological and interfacial property of nanoAl with Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB), glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) and poly (ethyleneoxide-co-tetrafuran)(PET) were investigated by means of RS-300 rheometer, DCAT21 dynamic contact angle measuring instrument, interface surface tension meter (Germany) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (xps). Rheological properties of three binders and nanoAl/binder suspensions in the mixing ratio of 1:2 were discussed. Results show that Three kinds of binders exhibit pseudoplastic characteristics with the apparent viscosity of less than 3 Pa s,and have weak interaction between molecular chain segment of itself. Within 30~60°C, with temperature increasing, the apparent viscosity of nanoAl suspensions decreases, in which the nanoAl/HTPB and nanoAl/GAP belong to pseudoplastic fluid of sensitive to temperature, with flow activation energy of 38.05 kJ/mol and 52.07 kJ /mol, respectively, but nanoAl/PET belongs to a bingham fluid of sensitive to changes in the shear rate, with flow activation energy of only 1.506 kJ/mol. The contact angles of nanoAl,GAP,HTPB and PET were measured by means of dynamic contact angle/surface tension instrument. The calculated values of adhesion and spread coefficient of nanoAl with binders decrease in the order Wnano-Al/PET>Wnano-Al/GAP>Wnano-Al/HTPB and Snano-Al/PET>Snano-Al/GAP>Snano-Al/HTPB.The results indicate that the interactions of nanoAl with binders decrease in the order nanoAl/PET>nanoAl/GAP>nanoAl/HTPB,which is consistent with the trends of apparent viscosity of the suspensions . Binding energy of Oxygen in nanoAl/HTPB is 532.03 ev,which is bigger than that of nanoAl,and indicate a strong action between nanoAl and HTPB.

Through the introduction of the cloud technology as well as raising some problems in the construction of the digitalized campus, analyzing the technologies of compiling the cloud technology with virtualization, cluster technology and SOA standard, the essay proposes that make use of the logical construction, the physical construction and the application distribution of cloud platforms during the course of constructing the digitalized campus. The essay provides accordingly feasible suggestions and solutions for building of a individualized cloud platform in digitalized campus.

Currently, all the global petroleum exploration and production companies are facing the pressure of lowing operating costs and improving labor productivity, now the emergence of the digital oilfield brings hope to these companies. This paper expounds the difficulties that the domestic digital oilfield encountered in the design of construction, and combining with the actual need of the oil fields in the development of oil-gas exploration, especially discusses the common problems in the construction of current digital oilfield and analyzes the existing oilfield technology and the development needs, finally, it put forwards feasible solutions.

The frequency method is an indirect method of measuring cable tension, in which using the relation between vibration frequency and cable tension, and measured frequency. It has been found wide use because of its simplicity, practicable use, higher accuracy and the instrument is easy to carry. The principle of the frequency method is based on the vibration theory of string or beam. The flexural rigidity of cable is ignored in string vibration theory, but included in beam vibration theory; therefore the latter is more approaching the engineering practice.

In the present study, coatings of aluminium, zinc and combinations of aluminium-zinc and zinc-nickel were applied to steel substrates using the cold gas spray process. The effects of powder morphology and impact velocity, as determined by gas temperature and pressure, on the uniformity of the coatings were investigated. The through coating microstructure and composition were examined using scanning electron microscopy to determine the elemental distribution and the nature and extent of porosity. Work continues with an investigation of substrate condition and spray parameters on deformation and bonding. Significant plastic deformation of metal grains was evident. Further, it was revealed that the uniformity and compactness of the coatings are directly associated with the shape and size of the powders, and the gas pressure and temperature. The performance of the coatings is currently being evaluated and compared with ion vapour deposited and electrodeposited coatings.

Objective The aim of this study was to explore the new method of inguinal lymphadenectomy in order to reduce side effects of conventional method for patients with vulvar carcinoma.

The 2A12 aluminum alloy surface is treated by plasma electrochemical oxidation (PEO) in alkaline solution. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) is used to analyze the phases of PEO coatings. Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM) is used to investigate the compactness of PEO coatings. High resistance meter and voltage resistance meter are used to measured Electric resistance and breakdown field strength of PEO coatings respectively. The results show that the PEO coating is composed of α-Al2O3, γ-Al2O3 , etc, and they are all well-insulated substance which is profitable to insulation of 2A12 aluminum alloy. When the thickness of PEO is more than 60μm, porosity in the PEO coating is estimated not more than 15%. Electric resistivity of PEO coatings can reach as high as 1013 Ω·cm, and breakdown field strength of the PEO coatings can reach 72 V / μm.

The third-order nonlinear optical properties of two dmit organometallic complexes, [(CH3)4N] [Au(C3S5)2] (MeAu) and [(CH3)4N][Ni(C3S5)2] (Me Ni) in acetone solutions, were characterized using a short pulse Z-scan technique at 1064 nm wavelength. Self-defocusing effects were found in both samples and stronger saturable absorption was observed in MeNi solution comparing with that of MeAu. The origins were analyzed for the differences between the results. Two figures of merit W and T were also calculated to evaluate the suitability of two materials for all-optical integrated devices. The results of W=22.84 and T≈0 of MeAu make it an excellent candidate for the all-optical applications.

A new alloaromadendrane-type sesquiterpene, (−)-alloaromadendrane-3β,9β-diol ( 1 ), has been isolated from the aerial part of Caragana intermediia . The structure of (−)-alloaromadendrane-3β,9β-diol ( 1 ) was established by spectroscopic methods, including X-ray analysis that provided its relative stereochemistry. Bioassay showed that (−)-alloaromadendrane-3β,9β-diol ( 1 ) possesses anti- pyricularia oryzae P-2b activity with MIC value of 10 μg/mL.

Background: To investigate the inhibitory effect and the underlying mechanism of triptolide on cultured human endometrial carcinoma HEC-1B cells and corresponding xenograft. Materials and Methods: For in vitro studies, the inhibition effect of proliferation on HEC-1B cell by triptolide was determined by MTT assay; cell cycle and apoptosis of the triptolide-treated and untreated cells were detected by flow cytometry. For in vivo studies, a xenograft tumor model of human endometrial carcinoma was established using HEC-1B cells, then the tumor-bearing mice were treated with high, medium, and low-dose (8 μg, 4 μg and 2 μg/day) triptolide or cisplatin at 40 μg/day or normal saline as control. The mice were treated for 10-15 days, during which body weight of the mice and volume of the xenograft were weighted. Then expression of Bcl-2 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was analyzed by SABC immunohistochemistry. Results: Cell growth was significantly inhibited by triptolide as observed by an inverted phase contrast microscope; the results of MTT assay indicated that triptolide inhibits HEC-1B cell proliferation in a dose and time-dependent manner; flow cytometry showed that low concentration (5 ng/ml) of triptolide induces cell cycle arrest of HEC-1B cells mainly at S phase, while higher concentration (40 or 80 ng/ml) induced cell cycle arrest of HEC-1B cells mainly at G2/M phase, and apoptosis of the cells was also induced. High-dose triptolide showed a similar tumor-inhibitory effect as cisplatin (-50%); high-dose triptolide significantly inhibited Bcl-2 and VEGF expression in the xenograft model compared to normal saline control (P

To compare the individual effects of baicalin and jasminoidin with the combined effect of them on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, and test whether the combined administration of baicalin and jasminoidin can improve the therapeutic effect. Male Sprague-Dawley rats underwent focal cerebral ischemia for 1.5 h and reperfusion for 24 h. Just before reperfusion, tested drugs (baicalin, jasminoidin, a drug combination consisting of baicalin and jasminoidin, or nimodipine) were intravenously treated. Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), behavior examination, 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining, histological examination, and real-time PCR for BDNF and caspase-3 were performed. All of the drug treatments could significantly ameliorate the results of TTC and histological examination, and the baicalin/jasminoidin combination did so most prominently. This combination could also significantly ameliorate DWI of MRI and behavior examination results, and promote the expression of BDNF and inhibit the expression of caspase-3. On the whole, both baicalin and jasminoidin have a preventive effect against ischemic stroke, although their effects are not very strong. However, the combination of baicalin and jasminoidin can significantly improve their effectiveness. This may be related to its better regulation on the BDNF and caspase-3.

Aim: To examine lymph nodes obtained after lipolysis and liposuction of subcutaneous fat of the inguinal region of female vulvar cancer patients to explore the feasibility of clinical application. Methods: The field of operation was on the basis of the range of the conventional resection of inguinal lymph nodes. We injected lipolysis liquid fanwise, started liposuction after 15-20 minutes; then the subcutaneous fatty tissue was sucked out clearly by suction tube. We selected the first puncture holes located on 2-3 cm part below anterior superior spine, the others respectively being located 3cm and 6cm below the first for puncturing into the skin, imbedding a trocar to intorduce CO 2 gas and the specular body, and excise the lymph nodes by ultrasonic scalpel. The surgical field chamber was set with negative pressure drainage and was pressured with a soft saline bag after surgery. Results: A lacuna emerged from subcutaneous of the inguinal region after lipolysis and liposuction, with a wide fascia easily exposed at the bottom where lymph nodes could be readily excised. The number of lymph nodes of ten patients excised within the inguinal region on each side was 4-18. The excised average number of lymph nodes was 11 when we had mature technology. Conclusion: Most of adipose tissue was removed after lipolysis and liposuction of subcutaneous tissue of inguinal region, so that the included lymph nodes were exposed and easy to excise by endoscope. This surgery avoided the large incision of regular surgery of inguinal region, the results indicating that this approach is feasible and safe for used as an alternative technology.

A newly improved synthesis of a dibenzodioxocinone CETP inhibitor is described. Key features of the synthetic route include a chiral ligand induced alkyl addition to aldehyde and the use of triethylborane for improved selective alkylation of brominated phenyl ring.

Triptolide (TP), the primary active component purified from the traditional Chinese herbal medicine Tripterygium wilfordii Hook. F (TWHF), has been shown to possess antitumor activity in several types of solid tumors. In the present study, we investigated the antitumor effect of TP in human endometrial cancer cells (HEC-1B) and elucidated its possible underlying mechanisms. HEC-1B cells were treated with various doses of TP (10, 20, 40, 80, 160 and 320 nM), and the cell viability was assessed by Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) and flow cytometric analysis. Results indicated that TP inhibited the proliferation of HEC-1B cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner. To further investigate its mechanisms, the levels of apoptosis and the changes in caspase-3/9 expression in HEC-1B cells by pretreatment with z-VAD-fmk, a pan-caspase inhibitor, were detected by CCK-8 and western blotting. The cytotoxic effects of TP were significantly inhibited by z-VAD -fmk. At the molecular level, TP did not effectively activate the p53 signaling pathway, but upregulated caspase-3/9 and downregulated bcl-2 without changing the bax level. Our studies revealed that TP has an effect on the apoptotic ability of endometrial cancer cells via a p53-independent mitochondrial pathway, presenting a novel strategy to evade drug resistance in tumorigenesis. The ability of TP to be a potential chemotherapeutic agent for endometrial cancer should be considered.

The hemocompatibility of La(2)O(3)-doped TiO(2) films with different concentration prepared by radio frequency (RF) sputtering was studied. The microstructures and blood compatibility of TiO(2) films were investigated by scan electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and UV-visible optical absorption spectroscopy, respectively. With the increasing of the La(2)O(3) concentrations, the TiO(2) films become smooth, and the grain size becomes smaller. Meanwhile, the band gap of the samples increases from 2.85 to 3.3 eV with increasing of the La(2)O(3) content in TiO(2) films from 0 to 3.64%. La(2)O(3)-doped TiO(2) films exhibit n-type semiconductor properties due to the existence of Ti(2+) and Ti(3+). The mechanism of hemocompatibility of TiO(2) film doped with La(2)O(3) was analyzed and discussed.

A new xanthone, 1,5-dihydroxy-2,3,4-trimethoxyxanthone (1), together with 15 known compounds (2-16), was isolated from an ethanolic extract of Halenia elliptica D. Don. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. Among the known compounds, the (13)C NMR spectroscopic data of 2,3,4,5-tetramethoxyxanthone-1-O-gentiobioside (2) were reported for the first time.

Performance of zinc yellow polypropylene-coated aluminum alloy 7B04 during accelerated degradation test is studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). It has been found that the zinc yellow polypropylene paint has few flaw and acts as a pure capacitance before accelerated test. After 336-hour exposure to the test, the impedance spectroscopy shows two time constants, and water has reached to the aluminum alloy/paint interface and forms corrosive microcell. For the scratched samples, the reaction of metal corrosion and the hydrolysis of zinc yellow ion can occur simultaneously. The impedance spectroscopy indicates inductance after 1008-hour exposure to the test, but the inductance disappears after 1344-hour exposure and the passivation film has pitting corrosion.

Tumor-targeting bacteria have been developed as powerful anticancer agents. Salmonella typhimurium VNP20009, a representative tumor-targeting strain, has been systemically administered as a single-agent therapy at doses of 1 x 10(6) to 3 x 10(6) colony-forming unit (cfu)/mouse, or in combination with other antitumor agents at doses of 1 x 10(4) to 2 x 10(5) cfu/mouse. Recently, we reported that oral delivery of VNP20009 at the dose of 1 x 10(9) cfu/mouse induced significant anticancer effects comparable to that induced by systemic administration of this strain at 1 x 10(4) cfu/mouse. To further address the efficacy and safety of oral administration of bacteria, here we performed a systemically comparative analysis of anticancer efficacy and toxicity of VNP20009 administered: (i) orally at a dose of 1 x 10(9) cfu/mouse (VNP9-oral); (ii) intraperitoneally at a dose of 1 x 10(4) cfu/mouse (VNP4-i.p.); or (iii) intraperitoneally at a dose of 1 x 10(6) cfu/mouse in tumor-free and tumor-bearing murine models. The results showed that VNP9-oral, similar to VNP4-i.p., induced significant tumor growth inhibition whereas VNP6-i.p. induced better anticancer effect in the B16F10 melanoma model. Among three treatments, VNP9-oral induced the mildest and reversible toxicity whereas VNP6-i.p. resulted in the most serious and irreversible toxicities when compared to other two treatments. Moreover, the combination of VNP9-oral with a low dose of chemotherapeutics produced comparable antitumor effects but displayed significantly reduced toxicity when compared to VNP6-i.p. The findings demonstrated that oral administration, as a novel avenue in the application of bacteria, is highly safe and effective. Moreover, the present preclinical study should facilitate the optimization of bacterial therapies with improved anticancer efficacy and reduced adverse effects in future clinical trials.

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C9H14BNO4, the boronic acid group and carbamate groups are nearly co-planar with the pyrrole ring, making dihedral angles of 0.1 (2) and 2.2 (2)°, respectively. Intramolecular and intermolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds help to stabilize the structure, the latter interaction leading to inversion dimers..

Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease that causes animal and human diseases. Vaccination is a major measure for prevention of brucellosis, but it is currently not possible to distinguish vaccinated animals from those that have been naturally infected. Therefore, in this study, we constructed the Brucella (B.) abortus 2380 wbkA mutant (2308ΔwbkA) and evaluated its virulence. The survival of 2308ΔwbkA was attenuated in murine macrophage (RAW 264.7) and BALB/c mice, and it induced high protective immunity in mice. The wbkA mutant elicited an anti-Brucella-specific immunoglobulin G response and induced the secretion of gamma interferon. Antibodies to 2308ΔwbkA could be detected in sera from mice, implying the potential for use of this protein as a diagnostic antigen. The WbkA antigen would allow serological differentiation between infected and vaccinated animals. These results suggest that 2308ΔwbkA is a potential attenuated vaccine against 16M. This vaccine will be further evaluated in sheep.

To study the chemical constituents from Caragana intermedia.The compounds were separated by chromatography methods. Their structures were identified by spectral analysis.Eight compounds were isolated and identified as 7,5'-dihydroxy-3 '-methoxyisoflavone-7-O-beta-D-glucoside (1), isorhamnetin 7-O-alpha-L-rhamnoside (2), 3, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (3), N-trans-caffeoyltyramine (4), D-3-O-methyl-inositol (5),7alpha-hydroxy-beta-sitosterol (6),7beta-hydroxy-beta-sitosterol (7) and stearic acid (8).All these compounds were obtained from this plant for the first time.

To observe the behaviour and Ca2+ content of spinal cord in rats after continuous spinal anesthesia administration of different densities and doses of ropivacaine in SD rats.Twenty-four male SD rats weighing 220 approximately 280 g were anesthetized. A polyurethane microspinal catheter was inserted into the lumbar subarachnoid space 8 cm according to the method of Yaksh's. The animals were randomly divided into 4 groups of 6 each: in group N the rats were given normal saline 40 microl intrathecally every one and half hours for 3 times; in group R1, 0.5% ropivacaine was given; in group R2 0.75% ropivacaine and in group R3 1% ropivacaine was given. The activity of rats was observed. After 6 hours rats were perfused with 4% formamint through the ascending aorta. The rats were sacrificed and L1 approximately 2 segment of spinal cord was immediately removed for Ca2+ content examination.A total hind limbs paralysis was seen at 30 seconds and intramuscular strain gradually came back from 30 to 90 minutes after the intrathecal administration of ropivacaine in all rats. The recovery of motor black was remarkably different in group R1, R2, and R3 (P0.05). The Ca2+ content of spinal cord was significantly higher in group R3 than that in group R1 and R2 (P0.05 ).There is no significant change of motor black time and it is related to drug dose for 0.5% , 0.75% and 1% ropivacaine in continuous spinal anesthesia. 1% ropivacaine may increase Ca2+ content in spinal cord.

Ions of the title compound, C6H15N2O2+·C2F3O2−, a new organic nonlinear optical crystal, are linked by N—H...O hydrogen-bonding interactions. Both the amino groups of the l-lysinium cation are protonated. A three-dimensional network of hydrogen bonds is observed, forming a closed ring. Intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds involving l-lysinium cations and trifluoroacetate anions link the ions into extended chains which run parallel to the [010] direction. The F atoms of the trifluoroacetate anion are disordered over two sites with site occupancies of 0.423 (18) and 0.577 (18). The asymmetric unit consists of two cations and two anions.

The kinetic characteristics of hydroxamate-based inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-12 were explored using an SPR biosensor-based assay and enzyme inhibition analysis. These high-affinity inhibitors were shown to dissociate very slowly from the enzyme–inhibitor complex while a carboxylate analogue had a much faster dissociation rate, verifying the importance of the hydroxamate group for the slow dissociation. Progress curve enzyme inhibition analysis confirmed that the hydroxamate compounds but not the carboxylate compound acted as time-dependent inhibitors. The slow dissociation excluded steady-state estimation of IC50-values and Ki values but also made Ki values from progress curve analysis unreliable. Although a full characterization of the inhibitors using biosensor analysis was limited by slow dissociation, it provided kinetic and mechanistic information of relevance for MMP drug discovery and avoided some pitfalls of conventional enzyme inhibition assays.
