To test the hypotheses that individuals of rotifers adapted to high food levels are smaller at maturity than those adapted to low food levels, and that selection history has different effects on different life history traits and demographic variables of rotifers, we expose replicate populations of Brachionus angularis in low (LF) and high (HF) densities of Tetradesmus obliquus. Over 100 days (28 asexual generations) of selection, HF-selected populations have a significantly increased growth rate, but more rapidly decreased mictic ratio than LF-selected populations. Common garden experiments reveal that regardless of the density of food provided, populations with an LF-selection history have significantly lower reproductive and growth rates, but larger individuals than populations with an HF-selection history. Compared with LF treatment, HF treatment decreases reproductive and growth rates and individual size in populations with an LF-selection history, but these reaction norms are less pronounced (reproductive and growth rates) or opposite (individual size) in populations with an HF-selection history, indicating significant evolutionary effects. While the potential for evolution in rotifer populations may enable them to survive in oligotrophic and eutrophic water bodies, trait variation linked to food availability may lead to contrasting population dynamics in these two environment types.

Global warming and pesticide contamination are two stressors of high concern, but their combined effects on freshwater biota are controversial. This study investigated the combined effects of warming and imidacloprid (IMI) on survival (measured as life expectancy at hatching), reproduction (net reproductive rate), population growth (intrinsic rate of population increase) and sexual reproduction (proportion of sexual offspring) of Brachionus calyciflorus using a life table experiment. The results showed that compared with controls, treatments with IMI at 50-100 mg/L significantly decreased survival, reproduction and population growth of the rotifers at 20℃. The inhibiting effect at higher IMI concentrations on survival increased with increasing temperatures, but those on reproduction and population growth increased only when the temperature increased from 25℃ to 30℃. The proportion of sexual offspring decreased with increasing temperatures. When monitoring the ecological effects of pollutants, environmental temperature and the possible adaptation of rotifers to it should be taken into consideration.

Cadmium is a heavy metal which exists widely in industrial and agricultural production and can induce a variety of diseases in organisms. Therefore, its detection is of great significance in the fields of biology, environment and medicine. Fluorescent probe has been a powerful tool for cadmium detection because of its convenience, sensitivity, and bioimaging capability. In this paper, we reviewed 98 literatures on cadmium fluorescent sensors reported from 2017 to 2021, classified them according to different fluorophores, elaborated the probe design, application characteristics and recognition mode, summarized and prospected the development of cadmium fluorescent and colorimetric probes. We hope to provide some help for researchers to design cadmium fluorescent probes with higher selectivity, sensitivity and practicability.

Although natural populations can rapidly adapt to selection pressures, the fitness consequences of selection are controversial. In this study, a selection experiment was conducted with replicate populations of Brachionus dorcas that were exposed to two sublethal concentrations (26.8 and 78.3 mg/L) of oxytetracycline (OTC), followed by two common garden experiments (population growth and life table experiments). During the 102-day (approximately 36 asexual generations) selection experiment, a markedly increased growth rate but a significantly decreased mictic ratio over time in the populations exposed to OTC when compared to the control populations suggested that the former adapted to the selection pressures and that a trade-off exists between asexual and sexual reproduction. The high and stable population growth rates after 90 days of OTC selection illustrate an example of evolutionary rescue. After 102 days of selection, OTC-selected populations showed higher population growth rates than the control populations when exposed to OTC, indicating significantly increased tolerance. OTC-selected populations showed a lower average growth rate, longer average generation time and life expectancy at hatching, and higher average net reproduction rate and proportion of mictic offspring than the control populations in the absence of OTC, which indicate that OTC selection results in two fitness costs and three fitness gains and that the effect of OTC selection on fitness differs with the measured fitness variables. Both the evolutionary potential of populations under the stress of higher concentrations of OTC and the fitness costs and gains of selection in the absence of OTC indicate that past exposures to pollutants cannot be neglected when evaluating the effects of current stressors on natural populations.

A self-assembled ZnO tail-like cluster (TC) had been successfully synthesized by a simple chemical vapor deposition method. Scanning electron microscopy observations show that ZnO TC is composed of bushy ZnO microwires with flower-shaped cross sections. Long and narrow furrows can be clearly observed on the surface of the ZnO TC. A possible growth model is proposed to discuss the formation mechanism. The analytical result indicates that the flower-shaped ZnO microwires are formed by the lateral coalescence of ZnO wires at high temperature. The room temperature PL spectrum shows a prominent UV emission band around 380 nm, and no green emission is found, implying that the unique flower-shaped ZnO microwires have high optical quality. This controlled growth of ZnO TC may have implication for potential applications in novel optoelectronic micro/nanodevices in the near future.

For the electric vehicle motor controller driver section requirements of the multiple isolated power supply problems, analyzed the common DC/DC converter, the single-ended flyback converter was selected as the motor controller auxiliary power supply. Taking into account the parasitic parameters of the high frequency transformer and switch transistor effects on the circuit, the loss model was showed. Its feasibility is verified by experiments. Experimental results showed that the designed RCD clamp circuit switch could effectively reduce stress and meet the requirements of the motor controller.

As the electric vehicles usually run under complex conditions of city road, there always exists parameter perturbation of motor, which will affect the vehicle performance. To solve the problem, an improved sliding mode variable structure control (SMC) method which combines continuous function and reaching law has been proposed in this paper. Then the improved vector control algorithm’s codes are generated automatically in the MMC (Model-based Motor Control) platform. The results show that the improved SMC algorithm has small chattering and strong robustness to the parameter perturbation and the external disturbances.

In the foundation of the realization of sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) based on the traditional sliding mode observer, the paper focuses on the research on the chattering impacts on the estimation of rotor position and speed, which are caused by the sliding mode variable structure control. To weaken the chattering, the paper proposes two kinds of methods. First, the paper designs the saturation function with boundary layer thickness variable instead of sign function in the traditional sliding mode observer. Meanwhile, let the phase-locked loop (PLL) combine to the sliding mode observer, and construct the rotor position signal detection unit. Finally, the paper verifies the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed methods through the theoretical analysis and simulation.

The Infineon AUDO FUTURE series micro-controller is widely applied in automobile power system, to solve the online programming problem, paper designed online upgrade system for Infineon AUDO FUTURE series MCU based on CAN Bus, which uses IAP technique to realize triggering bootloader without adding any hardware. Since all ECUs in vehicle are connected to CAN Bus which use ISO15765 protocol to communicate with each other, the entire download process paper designed follow the ISO15765 protocol. This system is suitable for any chip of this series and paper test it based on TC1767. The experimental result shows that this system has strong reliability with high efficiency.

Accurately identifying road condition can send relevant information to the motor control system, so that control system of the motor can adjust the control strategy timely, eventually, the intelligent and optimal control of electric vehicles is realized. In this paper, according to these mathematical model, the permanent magnet synchronous motors simulation model and vehicles simulation model are proposed. Then, output torque of motor and speed of motor are served as the input of RBF neural network, which helps road condition to be identified. The simulation result shows that the road condition is well identified by proposed method based on RBF neural network.

For the driver in the process of moving inconvenient to manually operated vehicle electronics, as well as the monopoly of foreign technology and other issues related , a framework based on DSP + MCU car speech recognition and control systems is designed. According to the embedded application environment, the corresponding recognition algorithm and the hardware architecture of DSP + MCU are chosen, in which DSP is mainly responsible for voice signal processing work, MCU is responsible for communicating with DSP and MCU to obtain recognition results after speech signal processing, as the final control instructions .The experimental results show that the hardware platform can run normally, and control the car body light on experimental bench.

To solve the problem of updating the software for Vehicle Fault Diagnose Instrument frequently, paper proposed an approach to realize the technology of parsing and matching vehicle diagnostic information based on XML database. Paper discussed the theory and process of the approach and used it to develop the Vehicle Diagnose Instrument based on Android OS. The testing result shows that this approach could be easily realized and improved the efficiency of updating the vehicle information.

Regarding to the electric vehicle (EV) with dual-energy storage system (DESS) composed of batteries and ultra-capacitors, study on the structure and drive modes of DESS, after a detailed analysis of energy storage system based on power, resistance and constraints in driving, establish a mathematical model of energy management system of EV with DESS, and an energy management based on the fuzzy control strategy is designed. Finally, a simulation of EV with DESS by using ADVISOR simulation platform is studied, whose results show that the EV with DESS based on fuzzy control strategy can be more effective in distributing power between energy storage systems, and the dynamic performance as well as economic efficiency are also improved

In this paper, the test bench for electric vehicle drive system is designed and the real-time display of speed, torque, current, voltage and other conventional parameters are realized that can offer lots of authentic data for motor performance evaluation, motor parametric design and optimizing control strategy. Road simulation is an important function in the test bench, so the paper analyses the driving electric vehicle in the longitudinal and gives the theoretical dynamometer dynamic output load values that can provide the theory reference for the further implementation of road conditions simulation based on LabVIEW. Finally, in order to validate the test bench feasibility, the start, accelerated and deceleration tests are implemented and show good performance of the bench.

One method which is based on model to settle the long development cycle of driver motor control software is adopted for Electric Vehicle (EV). It is to achieve Field Oriented Control algorithm (FOC) designing, model building, and microcontroller driver integration, task scheduling, code generation; Model simulation experiments are completed aiming at three kinds of running conditions such as a constant speed, accelerating, on load; finally, these running conditions are realized in EV and dynamometer platform. Simulation and experimental results show FOC has a well performance on speed regulating by comparing technical parameters with Chang An Ben Ben Mini, adopting the method also shorten the development cycle of motor control software.

In the present study, we observed the expression of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and its downstream signal pathway in peripheral blood monocytes (PBMs) from patients with acute cerebral infarct (ACI). The expression of TLR4 and MyD88 by PBMs was determined by flow cytometry and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction, and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) activity was detected by electrophoretic mobility shift assay. Ischemia/reperfusion injury-induced cerebral edema, infarction area, and neurologic impairment scores were determined in MyD88 gene knockout mice. The results indicated a significant increase in circulating TLR4+ monocytes in ACI patients as compared with the control group and the transient ischemia attack (TIA) group. This change paralleled an elevation in TLR4mRNA transcription and serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin (IL)-6 in the ACI and TIA groups. Correlation analysis showed TLR4 expression to significantly correlate with cytokine levels and stroke severity. MyD88mRNA differed insignificantly among the three groups. Compared with wild-type mice, 6 h of cerebral ischemia followed by 24 h of reperfusion did not significantly change cerebral edema, cerebral infarction area, and neurologic impairment scores in MyD88 gene knockout mice. Compared with the control group, serum heat shock protein (HSP) 60 increased significantly in the ACI and TIA groups, leading to NF-κB activation in TLR4/CD14-transfected HEK293 cells. It is suggested that upregulated TLR4 expression on PMBs may act as one of the peripheral mechanisms of inflammatory injury after ACI. Moreover, circulating HSP60 may be a ligand for TLR4, which is involved in the peripheral mechanism of inflammatory injury after ACI, possibly through an MyD88-independent signal pathway.

Endophytes proved to exert multiple effects on host plants, including growth promotion, stress resistance. However, whether endophytes have a role in metabolites shaping of grape has not been fully understood. Eight endophytic fungal strains which originally isolated from grapevines were re-inoculated to field-grown grapevines in this study, and their effects on both leaves and berries of grapevines at maturity stage were assessed, with special focused on secondary metabolites and antioxidant activities. High-density inoculation of all these endophytic fungal strains modified the physio-chemical status of grapevine to different degrees. Fungal inoculations promoted the content of reducing sugar (RS), total flavonoids (TF), total phenols (TPh), trans-resveratrol (Res) and activities of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), in both leaves and berries of grapevine. Inoculation of endophytic fungal strains, CXB-11 (Nigrospora sp.) and CXC-13 (Fusarium sp.) conferred greater promotion effects in grape metabolic re-shaping, compared to other used fungal strains. Additionally, inoculation of different strains of fungal endophytes led to establish different metabolites patterns of wine grape. The work implies the possibility of using endophytic fungi as fine-tuning regulator to shape the quality and character of wine grape.

To determine the difference of post-operative mortality between ORIF (open reduction internal fixation) and hip replacement for the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture in elderly by using survival analysis.The clinical data of 110 patients above 60 years old who underwent surgical treatment (ORIF or hip replacement) for the intertrochanteric fracture between April 2003 and May 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. Among the patients, 83 cases were treated with ORIF (ORIF group), there were 32 males and 51 females, aged from 61.44 to 98.75 years old with an average of (78.52 ± 7.98) years old; and 27 cases were treated with hip replacement (arthroplasty group), there were 8 males and 19 females, aged from 71.82 to 96.54 years old with an average of (79.99 ± 6.11) years old. A survival analysis was performed on the clinical data by using SPSS 110 software. The survival rate of 1-year,2-year, 5-year and the mean survival time for the total patients, the mortality rate of 1-year, 2-year in each group, the survival rate of 1-year, 2-year and mean survival time and survival curve in each group were included.All wounds achieved primary healing and no deaths were found in stay hospital. All patients were followed up from 1 to 125 months with an average of (46.93 ± 29.53) months. Among all 110 cases, 31 were dead and 79 survived. The survival rate of 1-year, 2-year and 5-year was (90.7 ± 2.8)%, (82.5 ± 3.9)% and (57.6 ± 6.5)%, respectively,while the ensemble mean survival time was (84.137 ± 5.902) months. The mortality rate of 1-year, 2-year in ORIF group was 7.2% and 12.0%, respectively; and in arthroplasty group, there was 14.8% and 25.9%, respectively. There was no significant difference in mortality rate of 1-year and 2-year between two groups. According to the survival analysis of the ORIF group, the survival rate of 1-year, 2-year was (92.6 ± 2.9)%, and (85.8 ± 4.3)%, respectively, and the mean survival time was (87.508 ± 6.063) months. In arthroplasty group, the survival rate of 1-year, 2-year was (85.2 ± 6.8)% and (73.9 ± 8.5)%,and the mean survival time was (67.294 ± 11.180) months. There was significant difference in mean survival time between two groups (P0.05).ORIF can achieve a better postoperative survival compare with hip replacement in treating intertrochanteric fracture in elderly.

A battery management system (BMS) based on the LIN-Bus was designed for the Valve Regulated Lead Acid Battery (VRLA). The VRLA BMS plays an important role as a vehicle power supply system which is part of the entire vehicle system. In order to improve the stability of various sub-systems inside the vehicle, VRLA parameters estimation, including current, voltage and temperature, are very important. However, due to lead-acid battery charging and discharging are a complex process of the electrochemical process. The VRLA BMS is consisted of a VRLA battery, a NI USB-8476 LIN transceiver manufactured by National Instruments(NI), a battery test system(BTS) and a high stability, high reliability ADuC7033 for which is high precision and rapid data acquisition ARM7 chip. The hardware design of sampling circuit, the whole VRLA BMS system structure, the software design of keil ARM7 and LabVIEW8.5 and LIN Bus communication were introduced for realtime on-line monitoring and controlling. Experimental results show that measurement is high credible and the error is within 1%. The BMS that was proposed by this paper can be used in Electric Vehicle(EV).

Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) such as gefitinib and erlotinib are used as standard 2(nd)/3(rd) line therapy in previously treated advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the optimal treatment for patients who experienced disease progression after chemotherapy and EGFR-TKI is unclear. The aim of this study was to explore the efficacy and safety of a salvage chemotherapy in advanced NSCLC patients who failed the previous treatment of platinum-based chemotherapy and EGFR-TKI.Clinicopathological data of 55 cases of advanced NSCLC patients who failure of first-line platinum-based chemotherapy and subsequent treatment with TKI were collected and analyzed. The patients were of PS = 0-2, and with normal vital organ function. Patients received salvage chemotherapy until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity or the patient refused to continue receiving treatment. A chart review assessed the key outcomes including the objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR) and progression-free survival (PFS).Fifty-five patients were enrolled in this study from march 2007 to october 2009. The median age of patients was 55 years (range: 34 - 72), 60.0% were males, PS 0-1 patients were 65.5%, stage IV patients were 100%; 34.5% had a TKI treatment duration ≥ 6 months. Twenty-four patients received pemetrexed as salvage chemotherapy, 21 received docetaxal and 10 had other chemotherapy. All patients were evaluable for efficacy. Among them, 7 (12.7%) patients achieved PR, 21 (38.2%) patients SD, and 27 (49.1%) patients PD, with ORR of 12.7% and DCR of 50.9%. The median follow-up duration was 5.5 months, and the median PFS was 2.0 months. The ORR and PFS were not significantly related with gender, PS and chemotherapy regimens (all P0.05), but patients with EGFR-TKI treatment ≥ 6 months achieved a significantly better ORR and DCR than those6 months (ORR: 21.1% vs. 8.3%, P = 0.012; DCR: 73.3% vs. 38.9%, P = 0.017), mPFS was significant longer in the patients received ≥ 6 months of EGFR-TKI (4.5 vs. 2.0 months, P = 0.008). The toxicity was acceptable and there were no treatment-related deaths.Advanced NSCLC patients failed with the previous treatment of first-line platinum-based chemotherapy and EGFR-TKI may benefit from salvage chemotherapy, especially in patients who received ≥ 6 months of EGFR-TKI. The toxicity of the salvage chemotherapy is acceptable.

To track the state of charge (SOC) of Ni-MH battery pack at the hybrid electric vehicle, an artificial neural network (ANN) is designed. Current, voltage and the previous SOC are used to inputs of ANN, and output is SOC. The result show that, this artificial neural network can track the state of charge(SOC) of the batteries accurately, in the average tracking error less than 5%; the ANN is in low dependence on the initial SOC, and the output can be achieved target value only in 90 seconds.

The prognosis of relapsed or refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) after front-line therapy remains poor. The development of more effective and less toxic salvage regimens remains a major challenge. Gemcitabine is effective in treating lymphoma and, when combined with cisplatin, is effective for some solid tumors. This study was to evaluate the efficacy of GDP regimen (gemcitabine, dexamethasone, and cisplatin) on relapsed or refractory aggressive NHL, and observe the adverse events.Patients with relapsed or refractory aggressive NHL, measurable disease, and had received previously at least one chemotherapy regimen were enrolled and treated with GDP regimen (gemcitabine 1000 mg/m2 on Days 1 and 8, dexamethasone 20-40 mg on Days 1-3, and cisplatin 25 mg/m2 on Days 1-3) every 3 weeks. The efficacy and adverse events were evaluated according to the WHO criteria.Twenty-four patients had received a total of 76 chemotherapy cycles, and were assessable for efficacy and adverse events. Five (20.8%) patients had complete response, 9 had partial response, 8 had stable disease, and 2 had progressive disease. The overall response rate (RR) was 58.3% for assessable patients; it was 57.1% for B-cell NHL patients and 60.0% for T-cell NHL patients (P=0.889). The median follow-up was 1.2 years. The 1-year overall survival rate was 41.7%; it was 42.9% in B-cell NHL patients and 40.0% in T-cell NHL patients (P=0.986). The occurrence rate was 37.5% for grade III/IV leucopenia, 25.0% for thrombocytopenia, and 16.7% for anemia in all patients. Non-hematologic toxicities were mild. There was no treatment-related death. Two patients proceeded to stem cell transplantation after salvage chemotherapy and obtained sufficient stem cells.GDP regimen is an effective and relatively nontoxic salvage chemotherapy regimen for relapsed or refractory aggressive NHL.

Treatment of relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) remains problematic with no standard salvage chemotherapy regimen. This study was to evaluate the efficacy of MINE (mitoxantrone, mesna/ifosfamide and etoposide) regimen on relapsed or refractory NHL, and observe its toxicity.Records of 38 patients with relapsed or refractory invasive NHL, treated with MINE regimen from Jan. 2001 to Jun. 2003, were reviewed. All patients had received at least 1 type of chemotherapy regimen (median, 2 types; range, 1-4 types) with a median of 6 chemotherapy cycles (range, 2-12 cycles). The patients received a median of 4 cycles (range, 2-6 cycles) of MINE regimen.The treatment outcome and adverse events of all patients were assessable. The overall response rate was 47.4%, with a complete response (CR) rate of 15.8%. The response rates were 57.7% in the 26 patients with B-cell lymphoma and 25.0% in the 12 patients with T-cell lymphoma. The 1- and 2-year survival rates were 34.2% and 7.9%, respectively. The major adverse event was myelosuppression: the prevalence of grade III-IV neutropenia was 39.5%, and that of grade III-IV thrombocytopenia was 13.1%. One patient suffered grade III liver toxicity.MINE regimen was effective for patients with relapsed or refractory invasive NHL, and its toxicity is well tolerated, but the response term is relatively short. Further clinical study on the application of MINE regimen is warranted.

EP regimen[etoposide (VP-16) + cisplatin (DDP)] is a standard regimen for treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC), but the cure rate is still low. Teniposide (VM-26) is highly active single agent for SCLC as VP-16, and penetratable through blood-brain barrier. This clinical trial was designed to compare the efficacy and toxicity of teniposide plus cisplatin (VM-26 + DDP) regimen and EP regimen in treatment of SCLC, and the possible role of VM-26 on prevention of brain metastasis of SCLC.A total of 70 previously untreated SCLC patients without brain metastasis were included; 34 patients received VM-26 + DDP and 36 patients received EP. The characteristics of patients were comparable according to chi 2 test.The overall response rate-was 76.5% for VM-26 + DDP group with 12 complete response (CR) and 14 partial response (PR), and 69.4% in the EP group with 12 CR and 13 PR (P = 0.595). The median duration of survival was 10.4 months for VM-26 + DDP group versus 9.8 months for EP group (P0.05). The 1, 2, and 5-year survival rates were 35.3%, 14.7%, 8.8% in the VM-26 + DDP group; and 38.9%, 13.9%, 8.3% in the EP group (P0.05, without statistical difference). The rate of brain metastasis was 5.9% for VM-26 + DDP group and 19.4% for EP group (P = 0.027, with statistical difference). The main toxicity was mylosuppression (I-II); there was no significant difference between the two groups (P0.05).VM-26 + DDP is a highly active regimen for treatment of SCLC; there is no difference in the effectiveness and toxicity versus EP regimen; VM-26 is possibly effective in prevention of brain metastasis in SCLC patients.
