Insufficient attention has been paid to how subway cabins are used by passengers and especially the distribution of passengers and occupancy of facilities. In this study, passengers were observed in 133 sections from the beginning to the end of the early peak of Chengdu Metro in the working days. The differences in occupancy behaviors of passengers to different areas, seats, and standing auxiliary facilities in the cabin were analyzed by the nonparametric test. The occupancy curve was fitted by the least square method from the minimum to the maximum load factor, and the prediction and explanatory model for the use of cabin was established. As expected, the distribution of passengers in the cabin is uneven. The highest occupancy rate has been maintained at the cabin end. Female passengers accounted for the largest proportion in the door area, while male passengers accounted for a larger proportion at the end of the cabin. There is no difference in the use of different seat types by passengers. There are more seats in female passengers, and females are more likely to get the remaining seats when the seat load is nearly saturated. For the auxiliary standing facilities, there are always passengers who do not use the facilities and the proportion is increasing. The facilities that can be relied on account for a greater median proportion of the passengers with facilities, but service capacity is limited. At the present early stage of application, automatic train driving systems still require constant supervision by the driver, and the continuous attention level of the driver is very important. This study investigated the changes in drivers' concentration' levels during the automatic driving of a high-speed EMU (electric multiple units) train, as well as the influence of their attention on take-over performance when necessary. It was found that the degree of concentration decreased over time, with the inattention degree ranging from 20% to 57%. Attention was weakly correlated to the take-over time and strongly correlated to the stable running time. When drivers inattention degree was controlled between 20% and 33%, their response speed to a take-over request might be improved, but inattention would affect their judgment of braking power after a take-over. Amidst the swift progression of microelectronics and Internet of Things technology, wearable devices are gradually gaining ground in the domains of human health monitoring. Recently, human bioenergy harvesting has emerged as a plausible alternative to batteries. This paper delves into harvesting human inertial energy that stimulates inertial masses through human motion and then transmutes the motion of the inertial masses into electrical energy. The inertial energy harvester is better suited for low‐frequency and irregular human motion. This review first identifies the sources of human motion excitation that are compatible with inertial energy harvesters and then provides a summary of the operating principles and the comparisons of the commonly used energy conversion mechanisms, including electromagnetic, piezoelectric, and triboelectric transducers. The review thoroughly summarizes the latest advancements in human inertial energy‐harvesting technology that are categorized and grouped based on their excitation sources and mechanical modulation methods. In addition, the review outlines the applications of inertial energy harvesters in powering wearable devices, medical health monitoring, and as mobile power sources. Finally, the challenges faced by inertial energy‐harvesting technologies are discussed, and the review provides a perspective on the potential developments in the field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
