We have examined the effect of Yishen Juanbi decoction combined with predictive nursing intervention on the prognosis, pain, and nutritional status of patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Ankylosing spondylitis patients received oral Yishen Juanbi decoction, followed by routine nursing intervention or predictive nursing intervention. The visual analog scale score and bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index score in the predictive nursing intervention were lower relative to the routine nursing intervention (P < 0.05). The predictive nursing intervention also had better quality of life than the routine nursing intervention group (P < 0.05). Serum total protein and albumin levels were higher in the predictive nursing intervention group than the routine nursing intervention group (P < 0.05), while serum IgA, IgM, and IgG levels were lower (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction of patients in the predictive nursing intervention group was higher compared to the routine nursing intervention group (P < 0.05). In conclusion, Yishen Juanbi decoction combined with predictive nursing can reduce pain, improve the nutritional status, and promote the motor function and quality of life of ankylosing spondylitis patients. The petrogenesis of the world famous Koktokay No. 3 pegmatite in the Chinese Altai Mountains is still enigmatic due to its superenrichment of rare metals and the apparent absence of a parental granite. We present results from a granite apophysis that was recently discovered in the No. 3 pegmatite open pit. Results show that it has low K/Rb (32.35-38.76), Zr/Hf (13.78-23.30), Nb/Ta (1.00-6.02), and extremely low K2O/Na2O (0.12-0.20) ratios, which, together with its mica composition and the occurrences of garnet, indicate that it is a highly evolved muscovite albite granite. Columbite and apatite from the granite apophysis yielded U-Pb ages of 182.3 ± 1.0 Ma and 184.9 ± 4.3 Ma, respectively, which are younger than the Triassic ages (ca. 210 Ma) of the main magmatic stage but fall into the age range of the No. 3 pegmatite series (220-175 Ma). Both the granite and the apatite grains within it share nearly identical rare earth element patterns with the magmatic stage of the No. 3 pegmatite. The whole-rock εHf(t) values (t = 183 Ma) range from -0.11 to +1.32, consistent with those of the No. 3 pegmatite and indicating a similar source. We propose that the Jurassic granite represents a late pulse of magma injected as apophyses from a deep-seated magma chamber (perhaps from the lower crust), which overlapped with the early pegmatite and promoted the rare metal mineralization. The No. 3 pegmatite and the Jurassic granite may represent a continuous magmatic system with a 50 m.y. melting process, generating this unusual giant pegmatite intrusion with abundant rare metals. [Objectives] The paper was to verify the field efficacy of 1% bifenthrin • thiamethoxam GR replacing organophosphorus GR against sweet potato weevil and its impact on the yield and quality of sweet potato. [Methods] A total of 4 field trials were conducted in Guangdong Province, including 1% bifenthrin • thiamethoxam GR applied at the doses of 3, 4 and 5 kg/667 m2, and 3% phoxim GR applied at the dose of 4 kg/667 m2. [Results] 1% Bifenthrin • thiamethoxam GR applied at the dose of 5 kg/667 m2 had excellent control effects on sweet potato weevil, with an average control effect of 77.60%, which was significantly higher than that of 3% phoxim GR applied at the dose of 4 kg/667 m2(48. 52%). And the average yield increase rate of sweet potato treated with 1% bifenthrin • thiamethoxam GR reached 24.79%, significantly higher than 12. 37% in the control group. [Conclusions] 1% Bifenthrin • thiamethoxam GR should be evenly distributed on the ridge surface near sweet potato within 5 - 7 d after planting, and the recommended dosage is 5 kg/667 m2, which will have good control effect on sweet potato weevil and increase the yield of sweet potato. Recycling of Fe-rich materials through subduction may affect the element budgets and redox properties of the mantle, thus in- fluencing the differentiation trends and mineralization types of mantle-derived magmas. However, the effects of different recycled Ferich materials on the mantle are dependent on their lithologies, which are still poorly constrained. Stable Fe isotopes can act as useful tracers for distinguishing among different recycled Fe-rich lithologies, and their imprints may be documented in mantle-derived magmas. This study focuses on the Fe isotopes of ferrobasalts and the associated dacites and magnetite ores in the Chagangnuoer Fe deposit of the Awulale Arc, Central Asia, to identify recycled Fe-rich materials and explore the Fe enrichment mechanism in continental arcs. Our results indicate that the ferrobasalts and dacites possess the lowest known δ56Fe, -0.40‰ ± 0.04‰ (2SE), among their counterparts worldwide. The low δ56Fe signatures are considered to originate from a hybridized mantle source, which may have been modified by recycled ferrocarbonates. The recycled ferrocarbonates may have melted during the decompressional heating stage of the slab subduction of the South Tianshan Ocean, coupled with asthenospheric upwelling under "wet" mantle conditions. The addition of ferrocarbonate melts to the mantle might have decreased the oxygen fugacity of the mantle wedge to below the fayalite--magnetite--quartz buffer, accounting for the Fe enrichment in arc tholeiites and large-scale Fe mineralization along the Awulale. Notably, our study reveals a novel carbonate recycling pathway in the cold subduction zones, where ferrocarbonates were subducted into the mantle and then recycled by the upwelling asthenosphere to mix with the fluid-metasomatized mantle through mantle convection. Imaging knowledge regarding retroperitoneal primary extraskeletal mesenchymal chondrosarcoma (ESMC) is limited. We report a new case of ESMC originated from the retroperitoneum. The tumor was indicated a well-defined mass with marker calcification, the parenchyma showed gradual enhancement pattern on the biphasic enhanced computed tomography and wash-in-wash-out enhancement pattern on the contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging and hyperintensity on diffusion-weighted imaging which implying the dense cellularity of tumor cells. Sonography indicated an increased echogenicity nodular area in the mass. These imaging features further enriched the imaging knowledge of this rare tumor and presented valuable imaging characteristics to diagnose retroperitoneal primary ESMC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Dynamic compressive tests of 3D braided composites with different braiding angle were carried out in the longitudinal, transverse and thickness directions respectively using the Split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB). The results show that the compressive properties present obvious strain rate strengthening effects in all directions. The 20° and 45° braided composite are most sensitive to strain rates in the longitudinal direction. The composites present the features of brittle failure at high strain rates, especially in the longitudinal direction. The composites with larger braiding angle have weaker mechanical properties in the longitudinal and transverse directions but stronger mechanical properties in the through-thickness direction. The braid angle has the greatest impact on the longitudinal mechanical properties. The compressive stress-strain curves in the thickness direction were similar to the hysteresis curve for both the 30° and 45° braided composites. Interior tomography as a promising X-ray imaging technique has received increasing attention in medical imaging field. In our previous works, we proposed a high-order total variation (HOT) minimization method for interior tomography and proved that the region of interest (ROI) can be reconstructed accurately by minimizing the HOT if the object image is piecewise polynomial within the ROI. In this paper, we propose a modified HOT (MHOT) and develop a fast MHOT minimization algorithm for interior tomography, based on split Bregman iteration and ordered-subset simultaneous algebraic reconstruction techniques (OS-SART). The Leigh syndrome (LS), characterized by psychomotor retardation, seizures, nystagmus, ophthalmoparesis, optic atrophy, ataxia, dystonia, or respiratory failure, is one of the most severe mitochondrial diseases. In the majority of cases, the disease is fatal and patients die before age 5. Mutation m.10197 G>A was found to relate to the severe phenotype of the Leigh syndrome. Here, we describe the first Chinese Leigh syndrome pedigree with this mutation. The proband had the characteristic brain lesions of the Leigh syndrome and presented a decrease in exercise tolerance and mild face paralysis. Sequencing the NADH dehydrogenase, subunit 3 (ND3) gene in the pedigree, revealed that the proband, as well as her unaffected brother, have a high mutant load in the ND3 gene, compared to their mother. Following one-year treatment with the coenzyme Q10, an obvious improvement in clinical features was observed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the proband. Our study and previous reports highlight the variability of phenotypic expression of the m.10197 G>A mutation, and suggest that pathogenesis of the syndrome may be affected by a number of factors. This is the first report on successful treatment of an LS patient carrying the mutation m.10197 G>A with the coenzyme Q10, indicating that Q10 may attenuate the mitochondrial dysfunctions caused by the m.10197 G>A mutation. Background: There have been suggestions that fragile histidine triad protein (FHIT) expression and FHIT gene hypermethylation were crucial to the pathogenesis of liver cancer. However, the conclusions remained unclear because of small sample size, disease subtype, and different detection techniques. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to estimate the associations of FHIT expression and FHIT gene hypermethylation with liver cancer pathogenesis. Methods: Studies that were published in electronic databases, such as PubMed, Web of Knowledge, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP, and WanFang, were retrieved and selected for the meta-analysis. Relative risk (RR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated to determine the correlations of FHIT expression and FHIT gene hypermethylation with liver cancer pathogenesis with Stata 12.0 software. Results: A total of 17 papers that evaluated the associations of FHIT expression (14 articles) and FHIT gene methylation (3 articles) with liver cancer pathogenesis were included in this metaanalysis. In the overall analysis, the pooled relative risk was 1.93 (95% CI =1.72-2.17), which indicated a significant association between FHIT low expression and liver cancer risk. According to the results of clinical information, there were significant associations of FHIT expression with TNM-stage (RR =2.13, 95% CI =1.72-2.64), tumor size (RR =1.67, 95% CI =1.36-2.05), and merger of cirrhosis (RR =1.34, 95% CI =1.06-1.69) of liver cancer in the Chinese population. In addition, the FHIT gene hypermethylation was significantly associated with the risk of liver cancer (RR =1.45, 95% CI =1.08-1.93). Conclusion: The FHIT expression and hypermethylation of FHIT gene were significantly associated with the risk of liver cancer, especially in the Chinese population. Furthermore, the results indicated significant associations between FHIT low expression and TNM-stage, tumor size, and merging of cirrhosis of liver cancer in the Chinese population. The graded rough set and multi-granulation rough set are two significant generalized rough set models which be constructed on the indiscernibility relation. They solve the issues that the degree of overlap between the equivalence class and basic set in different view points of quantitative information. The purpose of this study is that research the good points of graded rough set in the multi-granulation environment which in different granules have different grades based on dominance relation. Three new types of multi-granulation with different grades rough set models are proposed, which include the optimistic, pessimistic and mean multi-granulation with different grades rough set. Then, their principal structure, basic properties and serval kinds of uncertainty measure methods are investigated as well. Furthermore, an experimental evaluation about urban investment is utilized to verify the proposed properties, which is valuable for applying these theories to deal with practical issues. This paper advocates disturbance observer-based control (DOBC) for uncertain nonlinear systems. Within this framework, a nonlinear controller is designed based on the nominal model in the absence of disturbance and uncertainty where the main design specifications are to stabilize the system and achieve good tracking performance. Then, a nonlinear disturbance observer is designed to not only estimate external disturbance but also system uncertainty/unmodeled dynamics. With described uncertainty, rigorous stability analysis of the closed-loop system under the composite controller is established in this paper. Finally, the robust control problems of a missile roll stabilization and a mass spring system are addressed to illustrative the distinct features of the nonlinear DOBC approach. Background: Combined methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria, cobalamin(cbl)C deficiency, is a rare disorder of intracellular vitamin B12(cbl) metabolism caused by mutations in the MMACHC gene. Both genetic and biochemical approach have been established to diagnose children and fetuses with cblC deficiency, while in China there is no report of prenatal genetic diagnosis of cblC deficiency. The aim of the present study was to characterize the mutational spectrum of cblC deficiency and investigate the feasibility of genetic-sequencing-based prenatal diagnosis for cblC deficiency. Methods: 10 pedigrees were recruited in this study with the probands clinically and biochemically confirmed combined methymalonic aciduria and homocys tinuria. Peripheral blood samples were collected for MMACHC genetic test from the probands and their parents (4 probands had already dead) and 50 control subjects. The entire coding region and adjacent splice sites of MMACHC were sequenced. After the genotypes of the pedigrees were identified, chorionic villi sampling were performed for 3 high-risk pregnant women for prenatal genetic diagnosis. Results: A total of 7 mutations were identified: c.217C > T (R73X), c.394C > T (R132X), c.463G > C (G155R), c.609G > A (W203X), c.616C > T (R206W), c.658-660delAAG (220delK), and c.567dupT (I190YfsX13), as well as 2 polymophsims: c.321G > A(V107V), c.-302G > T. And G155R is a novel mutation that haven't been reported in the literatures. All the 6 probands identified with compound heterozygous mutations or homozygous mutations of MMACHC gene, and all the parents of the probands were found to have one MMACHC mutation at a heterozygous level. Prenatal diagnosis of fetuses from 3 families with a child affected cblC deficiency showed that one fetus had the same compound heterozygous mutations as the proband, one did not have MMACHC mutation, and the third fetus had a mutation at a heterozygous level of MMACHC gene. Results from the follow-ups were consistent with the prenatal diagnosis. Conclusion: A novel mutation p.G155R of the MMACHC gene is identified. Recently, local differential privacy (LDP), as a strong and practical notion, has been applied to deal with privacy issues in data collection. However, existing LDP-based strategies mainly focus on utility optimization at a single privacy level while ignoring various privacy preferences of data providers and multilevel privacy demands for statistics. In this paper, we for the first time propose a framework to optimize the utility of histogram estimation with these two privacy requirements. To clarify the goal of privacy protection, we personalize the traditional definition of LDP. We design two independent approaches to minimize the utility loss: Advanced Combination, which composes multilevel results for utility optimization, and Data Recycle with Personalized Privacy, which enlarges the sample size for an estimation. We demonstrate their effectiveness on privacy and utility, respectively. Moreover, we embed these approaches within a Recycle and Combination Framework and prove that the framework stably achieves the optimal utility by quantifying its error bounds. The paper proposes a risk-based early warning considering characteristics of fracture-karst aquifer in North China and applied it in a super-large fracture-karst water source. Groundwater vulnerability, types of land use, water abundance, transmissivity and spatial temporal variation of groundwater quality were chosen as indexes of the method. Weights of factors were obtained by using AHP method based on relative importance of factors, maps of factors were zoned by GIS, early warning map was conducted based on extension theory with the help of GIS, ENVI+IDL. The early warning map fused five factors very well, serious and tremendous warning areas are mainly located in northwest and east with high or relatively high transmissivity and groundwater pollutant loading, and obviously deteriorated or deteriorated trend of petroleum. The early warning map warns people where more attention should be paid, and the paper guides decision making to take appropriate protection actions in different warning levels areas. In this paper, we discuss the speed regulation problem of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo systems. Firstly, a continuous terminal sliding mode control (CTSMC) method is introduced for speed loops to eliminate the chattering phenomenon while still ensuring a strong disturbance rejection ability for the closed-loop system. However, in the presence of strong disturbances, the CTSMC law still needs to select high gain which may result in large steady-state speed fluctuations for the PMSM control system. To this end, an extended state observer (ESO)-based continuous terminal sliding mode control method is proposed. The ESO is employed to estimate system disturbances and the estimation is employed by the speed controller as a feed-forward compensation for disturbances. Compared to the conventional sliding mode control method, the proposed composite sliding control method obtains a faster convergence and better tracking performance. Also, by feed-forward compensating system disturbances and tuning down the gain of the CTSMC law, the fluctuation of steady-state speed of the closed-loop system is reduced while the disturbance rejection capability of the PMSM system is still maintained. Objective: Previous studies have reported that Ras-associated domain family 1A (RASSF1A), the most commonly silenced tumor suppressor via promoter methylation, played vital roles in the development of carcinogenesis. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to determine whether RASSF1A promoter methylation increased the risk of thyroid cancer. Methods: PubMed, Embase, ISI Web of Knowledge, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure databases were searched to obtain eligible studies. The pooled odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated to estimate the strength of the associations, using Stata 12.0 software. The methodological quality of included studies was evaluated using Newcastle-Ottawa scale table. Egger's test and Begg's test were applied to detect publication biases. TSA 0.9 software was used to calculate the required information size and whether the result was conclusive. Results: A total of 10 articles with 12 studies that included 422 thyroid cancer patients, identifying the association of RASSF1A promoter methylation with thyroid cancer risk, were collected in this meta-analysis. Overall, RASSF1A promoter methylation significantly increased the risk of thyroid cancer (total, OR=8.27, CI=4.38-15.62, P<0.05; Caucasian, OR=9.25, CI=3.97-21.56, P<0.05; Asian, OR=7.01, CI=2.68-18.38, P<0.05). In the subgroup analysis based on sample type, a significant association between thyroid cancer group and control group was found (normal tissue, OR=9.55, CI=4.21-21.67, P<0.05; adjacent tissue, OR=6.80, CI=2.49-18.56, P<0.05). The frequency of RASSF1A promoter methylation in follicular thyroid carcinoma was higher than in control group (OR=11.88, CI=5.80-24.32, P<0.05). In addition, the results indicated that the RASSF1A promoter methylation was correlated with papillary thyroid carcinoma in Caucasians and Asians (total, OR=8.07, CI=3.54-18.41, P<0.05; Caucasian, OR=11.35, CI=2.39-53.98, P<0.05; Asian, OR=6.67, CI=2.53-17.64, P<0.05). On the basis of the trial sequential analysis, the significant association of RASSF1A promoter methylation with thyroid cancer risk was found, and there was no need to perform further studies. In this paper, a modified laminated finite-element model based on subcell of unit cell and CDM material model was developed in nonlinear explicit finite-element code to investigate the dynamic response of 2D triaxial braided composite under ballistic impact of projectile. Six subcells, which were considered as laminate with different stacking sequences using solid elements, were employed to represent one unit cell of triaxial braided composites, therefore, the fiber-laying direction of braiding architecture is reproduced. In the prediction of the subcell model, an approximate round conical deformation area forms in the target and the failure modes are mainly longitudinal and transverse cracking due to tension. Compared with the continuum model, the subcell model is capable of analyzing the energy absorption of fiber in each direction. Although the failure modes are similar for both methods, the subcell model is more effective in prediction of impact wave propagation than the continuum model because it describes the fiber arrangement of triaxial braided composites. Limited studies with relatively small sample sizes have reported that elevated D-dimer levels on admission were associated with increased risk of short-term mortality in patients with type A acute aortic dissection (AAD). However, there were unavailable data regarding the impact of admission D-dimer levels on long-term outcomes. Our present study aimed to evaluate the association of admission D-dimer levels with both inhospital and long-term all-cause mortality in patients with type A AAD. A total of 212 consecutive patients with type A AAD were enrolled. D-Dimer levels were measured on admission, and patients were followed up prospectively. The primary end points were inhospital and long-term all-cause mortality. The median length of follow-up was 18.8 months (interquartile range 6.7 to 24.4 months). The inhospital and long-term all-cause mortality rates were 12.7% and 12.4%, respectively. Compared with the survivors, the nonsurvivors had significantly higher D-dimer levels (p <0.001). When divided into 4 groups according to admission D-dimer quartiles, patients in Q4 (>6.10 mg/ml) had the highest inhospital and long-term mortality among groups. After multivariate adjustment, the D-dimer level in Q4 (>6.10 mg/ml) was an independent risk factor for inhospital mortality (hazard ratio [HR] 6.12, 95% confidence interval 1.35 to 27.89, p = 0.019) in addition to surgical treatment; however, this was not an independent predictor for long-term mortality. In conclusion, our study with a relatively large sample size suggested that elevated admission D-dimer levels (>6.10 mg/ml) might be a predictor for increased risk of inhospital mortality, and urgent-emergent surgery might be needed in patients with elevated D-dimer levels on admission. New chronological, geochemical, and isotopic data are reported for Triassic (219–236 Ma) adakite-magnesian andesite-Nb-enriched basaltic rock associations from the Tuotuohe area, central Qiangtang terrane. The adakites and magnesian andesites are characterized by high Sr/Y (25–45), La/Yb (14–42) and Na2O/K2O (12–49) ratios, high Al2O3 (15.34–18.28 wt%) and moderate to high Sr concentrations (220–498 ppm) and εND (t) (+0.86 to +1.21) values. Low enrichments of Th, Rb relative to Nb, and subequal normalized Nb and La contents, and enrichments of light rare earth elements combine to distinguish a group of Nb-enriched basaltic rocks (NEBs). They have positive εND (t) (+2.57 to +5.16) values. Positive correlations between Th, La and Nb and an absence of negative Nb anomalies on mantle normalized plots indicate the NEBs are products of a mantle source metasomatized by a slab melt rather than by hydrous fluids. A continuous compositional variation between adakites and magnesian andesites confirms slab melt interaction with mantle peridotite. The spatial association of the NEBs with adakites and magnesian andesites define an “adakitic metasomatic volcanic series” recognized in many demonstrably subduction-related environments (e.g., Mindanao arc, Philippines; Kamchatka arc, Russia; and southern Baja California arc, Mexico). The age of the Touhuohe suite, and its correlation with Triassic NEB to the north indicates that volcanism derived from subduction-modified mantle was abundant prior to 220 Ma in the central Qiangtang terrane.
