Abstract

With the innovation and development of commercial shopping centers in China, the shopping environment is becoming more and more colorful. However, in today’s social environment, the central function of low-level consumption experience can no longer meet the needs of the masses. Therefore, in the design of indoor environment, we should start from a new perspective, focusing on the difference of internal space and the experience of consumption mode, so as to meet the development needs of commercial shopping in the future. Based on the research on the indoor environment of comprehensive commercial shopping center, comprehensive commercial shopping center in a certain area as the research target, the corresponding mathematical model was constructed, and using the measured method validation build the model of reliability and validity, thus obtains using CFD numerical simulation software of thermal and moisture environment of building an in-depth exploration, The effective countermeasures are put forward for the original air distribution mode. Comparing the improved scheme with the original scheme, it is found that the former can provide effective basis for the interior environment design of similar comprehensive commercial shopping malls.

Abstract

【Background】Strawberry is a cash crop, more than 40% of which is produced in China by facility cultivation. Since strawberry is a shallow-root crop characterized by large leaves and high water-demanding, its growth is sensitive to water deficit. Given that climate change is likely to make water shortage in agricultural production in China worsen, improving agronomic practices to increase water use efficiency is critical to sustaining agricultural production in China and worldwide. 【Objective】The objective of this paper is to investigate the response of physiological traits of strawberry (cv. Honeoye) to water stress under different deficit irrigations. 【Method】Field experiment designed using complete randomized block method was conducted consisting of three drip deficit irrigations: Partial root-zone irrigation (PRI), deficit irrigation (DI) and sufficient irrigation (FI). Three water stress levels were further set in PRI and DI modes: minor water stress (LS), moderate water stress (MS) and severe water stress (SS). In each treatment, we measured chlorophyll content in the leaves, as well as the transpiration and photosynthetic rate. 【Result】Compared to FI, PRI and DI reduced the contents of both chlorophyll a and b. In all treatments, both chlorophyll a and b decreased as the water stress severity increased. It was found that chlorophyll in PFI was higher than that in DI. With the increase in water stress, DI and PRI reduced transpiration by 35.2%~44.7% and 21.0%~47.0% respectively, compared to FI, although the net photosynthetic rates in them were comparable. Under moderate and severe water stress, the WUE of DI and PRI increased by 101.8%~117.9% and 68.8%~149.8% over FI, respectively. The proline accumulation in PRI was significantly higher than that in FI, varying from 19.0% to 26.0% with water stress, and it was also higher than that in DI when water stress was in minor and moderate level. Compared to FI, PRI increased malondialdehyde (MDA) accumulation by 30.2% at severe water stress, while DI increased MDA accumulation by 34.3% and 56.3%, respectively, under moderate and severe water stress. 【Conclusion】The osmotic adjustment and drought resistance of the strawberry in PRI were stronger than those in DI, and PRI+MS treatment was the most efficient irrigation strategy for strawberry production for the area we studied.

Abstract

Frankincense-Myrrh is a classic drug pair that promotes blood circulation, and eliminates blood stasis. The combination of the two drugs has a definite clinical effect on the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases (CBVDs), but its mechanism of action and compatibility have not been elucidated. In this study, the bioactive components, core targets, and possible synergistic mechanisms of Frankincense-Myrrh in the treatment of CBVDs are explored through systems pharmacology combined with in vivo and in vitro experiments. Comparing target genes of components in Frankincense and Myrrh with CBVD-related genes, common genes were identified; 15 core target genes of Frankincense-Myrrh for the treatment of CBVDs were then identified using protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis. It was also predicted through Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis that the molecular mechanism of Frankincense-Myrrh action on CBVDs was mainly related to the regulation of neurotrophic factors and inflammatory responses. Frankincense-Myrrh significantly improved neurological function, decreased infarct volume, alleviated histopathological damage, inhibited microglial expression, and promoted the expression of neurons in middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO)-induced rats. The results of this study not only provide important theoretical support and experimental basis for the synergistic effect of Frankincense-Myrrh, but also provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of cerebral ischemic injuries.

Abstract

The Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) has been proposed to enable more thorough and precise measurements of the properties of Higgs, W, and Z bosons, as well as to search for new physics. In response to the stringent performance requirements of the vertex detector for the CEPC, a baseline vertex detector prototype was tested and characterized for the first time using a 6 GeV electron beam at DESY II Test Beam Line 21. The baseline vertex detector prototype is designed with a cylindrical barrel structure that contains six double-sided detector modules (ladders). Each side of the ladder includes TaichuPix-3 sensors based on Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor (MAPS) technology, a flexible printed circuit, and a carbon fiber support structure. Additionally, the readout electronics and the Data Acquisition system were also examined during this beam test. The performance of the prototype was evaluated using an electron beam that passed through six ladders in a perpendicular direction. The offline data analysis indicates a spatial resolution of about 5 um, with detection efficiency exceeding 99 % and an impact parameter resolution of about 5.1 um. These promising results from this baseline vertex detector prototype mark a significant step toward realizing the optimal vertex detector for the CEPC.

Abstract

The proposed Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) imposes new challenges for the vertex detector in terms of pixel size and material budget. A Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor (MAPS) prototype called TaichuPix, based on a column drain readout architecture, has been developed to address the need for high spatial resolution. In order to evaluate the performance of the TaichuPix-3 chips, a beam test was carried out at DESY II TB21 in December 2022. Meanwhile, the Data Acquisition (DAQ) for a muti-plane configuration was tested during the beam test. This work presents the characterization of the TaichuPix-3 chips with two different processes, including cluster size, spatial resolution, and detection efficiency. The analysis results indicate the spatial resolution better than 5 $\mu m$ and the detection efficiency exceeds 99.5 % for both TaichuPix-3 chips with the two different processes.

Abstract

Diesel-powered agricultural machinery (AM) is a significant contributor to air pollutant emissions, including nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM). However, the fuel consumption and pollutant emissions from AM remain poorly quantified in many countries due to a lack of accurate activity data and emissions factors. In this study, the fuel consumption and air pollutant emission from AM were estimated using a survey and emission factors from the literature. A case study was conducted using data collected in Anhui, one of the agricultural provinces of China. The annual active hours of AM in Anhui ranged 130 to 175 h. The estimated diesel fuel consumption by AM was 1.45 Tg in 2013, approximately 25% of the total diesel consumption in the province. The air pollutants emitted by AM were 57 Gg of carbon monoxide, 14 Gg of hydrocarbon, 74 Gg of NOx and 5.7 Gg of PM in 2013. The NOx and PM emissions from AM were equivalent to 17% and 22% of total on-road traffic emissions in Anhui. Among nine types of AM considered, rural vehicles are the largest contributors to fuel consumption (31%) and air emissions (33–45%).

13. An unified material interpolation for topology optimization of multi-materials

Abstract

Topology optimization is one of the engineering tools for finding efficient design. For the material interpolation scheme, it is usual to employ the SIMP (Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization) or the homogenization based interpolation function for the parameterization of the material properties with respect to the design variables assigned to each finite element. For topology optimization with single material design, i.e., solid or void, the parameterization with 1 for solid and 0 for void becomes relatively straight forward using a polynomial function. For the case of multiple materials, some issues of the equality modeling of each material and \textcolor{red}{the clear 0, 1 result of each element for the topology optimization} issues become serious because of the curse of the dimension. To relieve these issues, this research proposes a new mapping based interpolation function for multi-material topology optimization. Unlike the polynomial based interpolation, this new interpolation is formulated by the ratio of the $p$-norm of the design variables to the 1-norm of the design variable multiplied by the design variable for a specific material. With this alternative mapping based interpolation function, each material are equally modeled and \textcolor{red}{ the clear 0, 1 result of each material for the multi-material topology optimization model} can be improved. 35. Organic Semiconductor Aggregates: from Molecular Designs to Device Applications

Abstract

Organic semiconductors built on π-conjugated structures have attracted significant attention due to their distinctive optical, electronic, and mechanical properties. These characteristics position them as ideal materials for various electronic devices. Notably, their strong light absorption and efficient charge transport capabilities mark organic semiconductors as promising solutions for addressing the global energy crisis through solar energy conversion. However, precise control of “soft” nanostructures formed by the noncovalently aggregated organic semiconductors for achieving desired optoelectronic properties is challenging, compared to covalently or ionically inorganic semiconductors with rigid architectures. In Chapter 1, I will introduce basic structures and properties of organic semiconductors, especially on their molecular packing behavior. The structure-property relationship of organic semiconductors will be discussed in terms of device applications, such as the development of near-infrared donor and acceptor materials for organic photovoltaics. From molecular designs to device applications, in the following chapters, I will introduce the chemistry of several organic semiconductor aggregates constructed from twisted and nonplanar π-systems and their performances in various solar energy fields, such as photocatalytic hydrogen reaction, organic photovoltaics and perovskite solar cells. In Chapter 2, I will show the self-assembly of noncovalent π-stacked organic frameworks that shows a higher activity for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution. I will first introduce the background of noncovalent π-stacked organic frameworks, which are a subclass of porous materials that consist of crystalline networks formed by self-assembly of organic building blocks through π-π interactions. π-stacked organic frameworks based on spirofluorene as central units and 3-(dicyanomethylidene)indan-1-one as end groups demonstrate strong visible light absorption from 500 nm to 700 nm and high surface area (248 m2 g–1) with 1.8 nm hydrophilic micropores, rendering them well-suited for applications in photocatalysis. The fabricated π-stacked organic frameworks nanoparticles exhibit hydrogen evolution rate up to 152 mmol h-1g-1 at room temperature and 618 mmol h-1g-1 at 70 °C. Cryo-transmission electron microscopy further reveal the native morphology of these nanoparticles and the cocatalyst Pt loading status on them.In Chapter 3, I will discuss the singlet fission property of pentacene polymer and its application in organic photovoltaics. Singlet fission is a process that converts one singlet exciton into two triplet excitons while conserving spin. This exciton multiplication process has the potential to overcome the Shockley-Queisser limit of solar power conversion efficiency. Pentacene with high mobility has proved to be ideal organic semiconductors for singlet fission organic photovoltaics. Nevertheless, the cost-intensive vacuum deposition process and the propensity of molecular aggregation in the solid state to prematurely quench triplet excitons pose challenges for their application in photovoltaics. To address these issues, a pentacene polymer is engineered with pentacene units arranged orthogonally to the polymer backbone. This design facilitates the use of pentacene-based materials in organic photovoltaics as donor materials through solution processing. Rapid conversion of photoexcited singlets into triplet pairs, occurring on a picosecond time scale (495 ps) and further dissociate into two “free” triplet excitons in 9.8 µs are observed in the pentacene polymer via transient absorption spectroscopy. The resulting photovoltaic devices based on pentacene polymer and nonfullerene acceptors demonstrate 1.92% power conversion efficiency.In Chapter 4, I will focus on a helicene-based organic semiconductor and its application as electron transport layer in inverted perovskite solar cells. Electron transport layer materials based on fullerene tend to form large clusters and undergo dimerization when exposed to light, leading to a deterioration in electron transport capability and device degradation. The nonplanar geometry of helicenes proves effective in preventing such aggregation issues, thereby enhancing device stability. We have successfully synthesized a small-molecule n-type organic semiconductor utilizing [6]helicene. This compound was employed as the electron transport layer, n-doped by organic amines, in an inverted perovskite solar cell, achieving an impressive power conversion efficiency of over 16%.

Abstract

The pseudoscalar meson-baryon octet interaction is studied within a nonlinear realized Lagrangian, and then the Bethe-Salpeter equation is solved in the unitary coupled-channel approximation. In sector of strangeness $S=-1$ and isospin $I=0$, only one pole is generated dynamically in the 1400MeV region, which might correspond to the $\Lambda(1405)$ particle. When the case of strangeness zero is studied, the $s-$ and $u-$ potentials are taken into account in the kernel, and a resonance state is produced in the 1500MeV region, which might be a counterpart of the N(1535) particle., Comment: 5 pages.
