【Objective】In Space Division Multiplexing (SDM) system, in order to achieve mode demultiplexing, it is necessary to adopt Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) equalization scheme at the receiving end. As the number of transmission modes or transmission capacity increases, the computational complexity of MIMO increases significantly, resulting in high power consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the computational complexity of MIMO equalization.【Methods】We propose a frequency-domain joint equalization technique based on Cyclic Prefix (CP) to reduce the complexity compared with a traditional frequency-domain independent equalization and a separate dispersion compensation module in few-mode fiber short-range transmission systems.【Results】Based on the few-mode fiber model in VPI simulation platform, we build a 6×6 few-mode fiber transmission system to verify the advantage of computational complexity reduction of the proposed technology. The simulation results show that, the performance and computational complexity reduction of different CP ratios are also different. Under the same simulation conditions, when the proportion of CP is larger, the reduction of computational complexity is also larger, vice versa. With the same performance, the computational complexity of the frequency-domain equalization scheme with CP accounting for 11.11%is only 15.29%of that of the traditional frequency-domain equalization scheme based on block convolution.【Conclusion】Compared with the traditional frequency-domain equalization combined with a separate dispersion compensation module, the proposed frequency-domain equalization with CP has lower computational complexity.

Because of their extensive specific surface area, excellent charge transfer rate, superior chemical stability, low cost, and Earth abundance, nanostructured titanium dioxide (TiO2) arrays have been thoroughly explored during the past few decades. The synthesis methods for TiO2 nanoarrays, which mainly include hydrothermal/solvothermal processes, vapor-based approaches, templated growth, and top-down fabrication techniques, are summarized, and the mechanisms are also discussed. In order to improve their electrochemical performance, several attempts have been conducted to produce TiO2 nanoarrays with morphologies and sizes that show tremendous promise for energy storage. This paper provides an overview of current developments in the research of TiO2 nanostructured arrays. Initially, the morphological engineering of TiO2 materials is discussed, with an emphasis on the various synthetic techniques and associated chemical and physical characteristics. We then give a brief overview of the most recent uses of TiO2 nanoarrays in the manufacture of batteries and supercapacitors. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the influences of key processing parameters of water jet guided laser processing on the grooves's cross-sectional morphology and heat affected zones of CFRPs. Therefore, based on the water jet guided laser processing equipment, a single factor experiment was designed to explore the effects of multiple key processing parameters, including laser power, water jet pressure, feed speed and laser repetition frequency. On this grooving experiment, the morphology of the groove sections and the formation mechanism of the heat affected zones were also analyzed. The following experimental results show that: the laser power has the greatest influences on the groove ablation depths and heat affected zones; the water jet pressure has the greatest influences on the groove ablation width; feed speed and laser repetition frequency has little effects on the groove ablation depth and ablation width, but has great effects on the heat affected zones. In addition, it is found that the removal area of groove cross sections displays V shape, and the heat affected zones are in the shape of sawtooth. A better groove section morphology is obtained by single factor analysis, the ablation depth and ablation width are as 772.8 µm and 894.7 µm, respectively. The heat affected zones of the carbon fiber layers is as 326.5 µm for the direction of 90° and 102.4 µm for the direction of 0°. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Major depressive disorder with suicide behavior (sMDD) is a server mood disorder, bringing tremendous burden to family and society. Although reduced gamma amino butyric acid (GABA) level has been observed in postmortem tissues of sMDD patients, the molecular mechanism by which GABA levels are altered remains elusive. In this study, we generated induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) from five sMDD patients and differentiated the iPSCs to GABAergic interneurons (GINs) and ventral forebrain organoids. sMDD GINs exhibited altered neuronal morphology and increased neural firing, as well as weakened calcium signaling propagation, compared with controls. Transcriptomic sequencing revealed that a decreased expression of serotoninergic receptor 2C (5‐HT2C) may cause the defected neuronal activity in sMDD. Furthermore, targeting 5‐HT2C receptor, using a small molecule agonist or genetic approach, restored neuronal activity deficits in sMDD GINs. Our findings provide a human cellular model for studying the molecular mechanisms and drug discoveries for sMDD. Synopsis: iPSC‐derived GABAergic interneurons generated from major depressive disorders with suicide behavior (sMDD) patients exhibit decreased 5‐HT2C expression.
