The crystal orientation and the temperature of the substrate are crucial factors that influence clusters deposition and, consequently, the properties of thin films. In this study, the molecular dynamics simulation method was employed to investigate the deposition of Cu55 clusters on Fe(001), Fe(011), and Fe(111) substrates with varying crystal orientations. The incident energies used ranged from 0.1 to 20.0 eV/atom, and the substrates were maintained at temperatures of 300, 500, and 800 K. Analysis of cluster and substrate atom snapshots, along with the physical properties of clusters, revealed how the crystal orientation of Fe substrates affects the morphology and structure of the cluster at different temperatures. Additionally, specific microscopic mechanisms responsible for these effects were identified. The simulation results demonstrate that the crystal orientation of Fe substrate significantly influences the deposition of Cu55 clusters. The structures of the clusters on the three crystal substrates undergo similar changes as the substrate temperature increases, with the Cu55 clusters on the Fe(111) substrate exhibiting the most significant changes in response to the temperature rise. The dynamics of innovation in geographical space is closely related to the regional development trajectory. Evolutionary economic geography points out the path dependence characteristics of regional development, and emphasizes that the direction of regional development is rooted in the original industrial and technological structure characteristics. Therefore, the geographical pattern of technological innovation and the identification of its diversity characteristics are of significance to the realization of regional innovation and the evolution of industrial structure. From the perspective of strategic industry, this paper aims to reveal the geographical pattern and diversity characteristics of technological innovation in strategic industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Based on the point scale spatial data of invention patents in the GBA and by means of connecting strategic industry with national economy industry classification code and patent IPC classification code, the invention patents of six major industries in the GBA are extracted, which are the new generation of electronic information industry, automobile industry, green petrochemical industry, new energy industry, advanced material industry and intelligent robot industry. And the nuclear density analysis, standard deviation tail value test, entropy method and average nearest neighbor distance analysis are used to identify the spatial distribution characteristics and differences of multiple types of technological innovation in the GBA. The results show that the geographic pattern of technological innovation in the GBA presents a significant spatial imbalance. At the regional scale, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are the two agglomeration cores. There is a large gap in the innovation ability between the east and west sides of the Pearl River. The accumulation of technological innovation on the east bank is much higher than that on the west bank. The innovation profile line on the east bank has formed two obvious peaks in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The high value of the innovation profile line on the west bank is mainly concentrated in Guangzhou and Zhuhai, and the peak value is far lower than that on the east bank. The location of technological diversity is mainly distributed in the core areas of the GBA, mainly including Yuexiu District and Tianhe District in Guangzhou, Nanshan District and Futian District in Shenzhen, Binhai District in Dongguan and Xiangzhou District in Zhuhai. And the distribution characteristics of technological innovation data of different industrial types are different. The innovation of the new generation of electronic information industry, advanced materials industry and green petrochemical industry accounts for 51.67% of the total innovation in the GBA. The innovation of different technological types shows obvious spatial differentiation. The innovation agglomeration degree of the new generation electronic information industry is the highest, with the R value of 0.0576. And its observed value of the average nearest neighbor distance between invention patents is 32.03 m, which belongs to the minimum value in the selected analysis industries, showing strong agglomeration characteristics. There are differences in the distribution characteristics of the agglomeration core of the six major industries in the GBA. The common ground is that they have formed the largest two agglomeration cores in the core areas of Guangzhou and Shenzhen, covering Yuexiu-Tianhe area in Guangzhou and Futian-Nanshan-Luohu area in Shenzhen. And the spatial distribution is mainly concentrated in the core areas of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Zhuhai. Among them, the spatial agglomeration degree of the new generation of electronic information industry innovation is the highest. Agglomeration and multi-dimensional proximity, diversity and path dependence are the main mechanisms for the formation of the geographical pattern of technological innovation in the GBA, and these two key mechanisms promote the formation of current multi-type technological innovation space in the GBA.

Automobile seat crossbeams play an important role in ensuring the living space of passengers in a collision accident. The reasonable filling design may effectively improve the safety performance of automobiles. Based on the characteristics of high specific energy and light weight of aluminum foam, three different kinds of composite structure composed of foamed aluminum and thin-walled steel pipe were designed and filled into automobile seat crossbeams. The bending and compressive properties of the filled seat crossbeams under three-point bending and axial compression were studied by finite element simulation, and then the best filling scheme was optimized. The results show that the bending and axial bearing capacity of the filled seat crossbeam are improved by 193.6% and 241.4% respectively compared with the original one, and the effectiveness of filled seat crossbeams to improve the crashworthiness of vehicle is proved by the side impact simulation.

Many bilingual infants attend early childhood education centres (ECEC) with their monolingual peers. However, recent evidence reveals that bilingual infants vocalise significantly less than monolingual infants in ECEC settings (Zheng et al. 2023) [Effects of Multilingualism on Australian Infants' Language Environments in Early Childhood Education Centers. Infant Behavior and Development, 70, 101799.], suggesting that educators may need to provide language tailored strategies to support bilingual infants' language learning. This study examines how educators support Mandarin-English bilingual infants' learning and development through a range of translanguaging practices in Australian ECEC contexts. We identified three functions of fluid translanguaging pedagogies: (1) make meaning and acknowledge children's bilingual repertoires during play-based interactions; (2) introduce the connections between two languages during literacy and play activities; (3) provide emotional support or regulate behaviour through the use of home language. We also identified educators' language-supporting strategies such as repetition, expanding their own/child's utterances, labelling and questioning during translanguaging practices. This study is the first to closely describe the dynamic nature of translanguaging interactions between early childhood educators and Mandarin-English bilingual children under the age of two. Findings highlight the importance of translanguaging for scaffolding infants' bilingual language learning, fostering their bilingual identities and supporting their wellbeing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to study the uniaxial compression properties of closed-cell metal foam, three different modeling methods were used in this paper to establish 2D random cell, 3D Kelvin and 3D voronoi metal foam model. Based on the LS-DYNA software, the differences of the compressive mechanical properties of the closed-cell metal foam under three different models were analyzed. The deformation mode and the stress strain response of the metal foam under three models were studied. The results show that 2D random cell model is more suitable for the study of the compression regularity of metal foam, and the 3D model is more suitable for the prediction and optimization of the compression response of metal foam. The 2D random cell model is restricted by its plane geometry, it can only simulate the closed-cell metal foam with low porosity in most cases. The Kelvin model and Voronoi model can simulate the closed- cell metal foam with high porosity. Compared with the Kelvin model and 2D random cell model, the voronoi model is more realistic and reasonable, and it is able to better characterize the compressive mechanical properties of closed-cell metal foam.
