Facing the future vision of ubiquitous network coverage, the deep integration and cooperative networking between satellite and terrestrial mobile communication network is a necessary technical path to build a space-air-ground integrated network, which can support access at anytime and anywhere. Firstly, current situation and development trend of space-air-ground integrated network were introduced. Then, the network architecture of satellite-terrestrial network and the design of space-based simplified core network were discussed, as well as the key technologies of satellite-terrestrial network. Finally, the proposed network architecture was verified by relevant experiments. and the follow-up research plan and outlook for future directions were discussed.

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a widely consumed vegetable crop with significant economic and nutritional importance. This review paper discusses the recent advancements in gene-based approaches to enhance the quality of tomatoes, particularly focusing on firmness, shelf life, and adaptations to pre- and post-harvest stresses. Utilizing genetic engineering techniques, such as Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats/CRISPR-associated proteins 9 (CRISPR/Cas9) and Transcription Activator-like Effector Nucleases (TALENs), researchers have made remarkable progress in developing tomatoes with improved traits that address key challenges faced during cultivation, storage, and transportation. We further highlighted the potential of genetic modifications in enhancing tomato firmness, thereby reducing post-harvest losses and improving consumer satisfaction. Furthermore, strategies to extend tomato shelf life through genetic interventions are discussed, emphasizing the importance of maintaining quality and freshness for sustainable food supply chains. Furthermore, the review delves into the ways in which gene-based adaptations can bolster tomatoes against environmental stresses, pests, and diseases, thereby enhancing crop resilience and ensuring stable yields. Emphasizing these crucial facets, this review highlights the essential contribution of genetic advancements in transforming tomato production, elevating quality standards, and promoting the sustainability of tomato cultivation practices. [Objectives] Bolt is usually used in connection for titanium alloy bulbous bow domes of new types of ships and such connection is exposed to bow slamming and wave loading,thus fatigue analysis of titanium-steel connection structure is necessary.[Methods] The finite element method is used to make stress analysis of the titanium-steel joint for new ships,and the stresses of titanium-steel connection bolts are calculated. The fatigue cumulative damage theory and S-N curve method are used to calculate the fatigue life of titanium-steel connection. According to the stress analysis of titanium-steel connection of ship,the fatigue test plan is formulated accordingly to conduct fatigue test on titanium-steel connection.[Results] The results show that the theoretical calculation of fatigue strength of titanium-steel connection of new type of ship is largely consistent with the test results and the method for the fatigue analysis of titanium-steel connection is reasonable.[Conclusions] This paper established a method for research on fatigue strength of titanium-steel joint,and the study results can be used for the titanium-steel connection type,bolt type selection and optimization and can provide a useful reference.

Changes in the atmospheric CO2 concentration influence plant growth and development by affecting the morphological structure and photosynthetic performance. Despite evidence for the macro-effects of elevated CO2 concentrations on plant morphology and yield in tomato, the gene regulatory network and key genes related to cross-regulation have not been reported. To identify the hub genes and metabolic pathways involved in the response of tomato to CO2 enrichment, weighted gene co-expression network analysis was conducted using gene expression profiles obtained by RNA sequencing. The role of the photosynthesis-related gene Soly720 (Solyc01g007720) in CO2-enriched tomato plants was explored. Tomato plants responded to CO2 enrichment primarily through RNA-related pathways and the metabolism of amino acids, fatty acids, and carbohydrates. The hub genes in co-expression networks were associated with plant growth and development, including cellular components and photosynthesis. Compared to wild-type plants, transgenic plants overexpressing the Soly720 gene exhibited 13.4%, 5.5%, 8.9%, and 4.1% increases in plant height, stem diameter, leaf length, and leaf width, respectively, under high-CO2 conditions. The morphological improvements in transgenic plants were accompanied by enhancement of photosynthetic performance in terms of chlorophyll contents, photosynthetic characteristics, and key enzyme activities. This study elucidates the response network of tomato to CO2 enrichment and demonstrates the regulatory role of Soly720 in photosynthesis under high-CO2 conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Sialidase has an important role in the pathogenesis of periodontitis and Porphyromonas gingivalis is a sialidase-producing organism implicated in periodontitis development. The aim of this study was to evaluate the anti-virulence and anti-inflammatory properties of the sialidase inhibitor, 2-deoxy-2,3-didehydro-N-acetylneuraminic acid (DANA), in vitro and in vivo.Methods: The effects of DANA on P. gingivalis sialidase and cell viability were determined, and the effects of DANA on P. gingivalis virulence were evaluated by assessment of growth curves, cell morphology, biofilm formation, fimbriae gene expression, and gingipains and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) activity. Anti-inflammatory effects of DANA on LPS-induced macrophages were assessed by measurement of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin (IL-1β), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) secretions. The effect of DANA on P. gingivalis-induced periodontitis in rats was analyzed by radiography, stereoscopic microscopy, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry.Results: Sialidase inhibition rate of 1mM DANA was 72.01%. Compared with untreated controls, treatment with DANA inhibited P. gingivalis growth and biofilm formation, and significantly decreased expression of the fimA, fimR, and fimS genes, as well as gingipains activity. DANA did not influence macrophage viability, but significantly inhibited TNF-α, IL-1β, and iNOS production in LPS-stimulated macrophages. In the periodontitis rat model, DANA prevented alveolar bone absorption and inhibited TNF-α and IL-1β production.Conclusion: DANA can reduce the growth, the biofilm formation and the virulence of P. gingivalis and exhibits anti-inflammatory effects, as well as effects against rat periodontitis, suggesting that DANA should be considered for development as a new adjunctive treatment for periodontitis. The aim of the present study was to identify key genes and molecular biological processes that are responsive to CO2 enrichment in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.). Tomato plants were exposed to CO2 concentrations of either 350–500 μmol/mol (ambient) or 750–850 μmol/mol, and genes that were differentially expressed (DEGs) in the two groups were identified. Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis were then used to identify DEGs involved in photosynthesis and sugar synthesis. As a result, a total of 208 DEGs, including 179 up-regulated and 29 down-regulated genes, were identified. GO functional annotation revealed that the DEGs were mainly enriched in the processes of photosystem I, photosystem II, photosynthesis phosphate ion binding, and electron carrier activity, whereas the KEGG pathway analysis indicated that the DEGs were mainly enriched in 21 signalling pathways, including plant hormone signal transduction, RNA polymerase, ribosomes and photosynthesis. A total of 62 DEGs, including Solyc12g032970.1, Solyc12g032960.1, Solyc07g043480.1 and Solyc02g086650.2, were associated with photosynthesis and sugar synthesis. The present study provides a basis for investigating the effects of elevated CO2 on the molecular processes of tomato, which will, in turn, provide a theoretical basis for tomato breeding programs. Strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch.) is an economically important crop. Its yield is highly dependent on photosynthesis, and carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the most important constituents in photosynthesis. In this study, we investigated the physiological and molecular mechanisms of CO2 enrichment in increasing strawberry leaf growth, and ultimately fruit yield. Strawberry plants were grown under ambient CO2 (350–500 μmol/mol) and elevated CO2 (750–850 μmol/mol) in a controlled environment. The results showed that CO2 enrichment significantly increased the size, net photosynthetic rate and light saturation point of the leaves, but decreased the light compensation point of leaves. Using RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq), transcriptome profiling of leaf tissues under two CO2 concentrations was conducted. The analysis identified 150 differentially expressed genes in response to increased CO2 concentration; 14 of them were shown to be involved in photosynthesis. Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment and pathways analyses revealed that CO2 enrichment enhanced the biosysthesis of metabolism-promoting growth hormones; sped up the reduction step of CO2 assimilation, and increased the transport of photosynthetic products, which help explain the increased net photosynthetic rate and accelerated leaf growth under elevated CO2 level. Elevated CO2 can stimulate plant growth in greenhouses, but the molecular mechanism behind this response is unclear, especially in eggplants. In this study, we evaluated the physiological and photosynthetic response of the eggplant variety 'Shenyuan 3' under elevated CO2, and the candidate genes related to this response were identified by transcriptomic analysis. The results showed that elevated CO2 can promote eggplant growth and development in greenhouses; plant height and stem diameter were maximally increased by 28.62% and 5.20%, respectively. Net photosynthetic rate, light saturation point and intercellular CO2 concentration of eggplant leaves increased by 86.11%, 49.94% and 102.06%, respectively, whereas light compensation point, dark breathing rate and stomatal conductance decreased by 35.90%, 27.30% and 26.03%, respectively. A total of 169 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened, of which 99 were up-regulated and 70 were down-regulated. Gene Ontology (GO) function enrichment analysis suggested that these proteins can be classified into 11 molecular functions, including transcription factors, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase and oxidoreductase. Pathway analysis indicated that elevated CO2 affects plant growth and development by affecting carbon metabolism, carbon fixation, chlorophyll and porphyrin metabolism. Twelve genes were further detected by qRT-PCR, and 11 genes showed similar dynamics with the transcriptomic data. Bilirubin dehydrogenase Sme2.5_04464.1_g00001 and the malate dehydrogenase gene Sme2.5_03383.1_g00002, which are involved in the chlorophyll porphyrin pathway and carbon metabolism, respectively, were up-regulated. Transcription factors bHLH (Sme2.5_01232.1_g00025) and GATA (Sme2.5_00372.1_g00006) were also up-regulated under elevated CO2 treatment. Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory condition that destroys the tooth-supporting tissues and eventually leads to tooth loss. As one of the most prevalent oral conditions, periodontitis endangers the oral health of 70% of people throughout the world. Periodontitis is also related to various systemic diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis, which not only has a great impact on population health status and the quality of life but also increases the social burden. Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis) is a gram-negative oral anaerobic bacterium that plays a key role in the pathogenesis of periodontitis. Porphyromonas gingivalis can express various of virulence factors to overturn innate and adaptive immunities, which makes P. gingivalis survive and propagate in the host, destroy periodontal tissues, and have connection to systemic diseases. Porphyromonas gingivalis can invade into and survive in host tissues by destructing the gingival epithelial barrier, internalizing into the epithelial cells, and enhancing autophagy in epithelial cells. Deregulation of complement system, degradation of antibacterial peptides, and destruction of phagocyte functions facilitate the evasion of P. gingivalis. Porphyromonas gingivalis can also suppress adaptive immunity, which allows P. gingivalis to exist in the host tissues and cause the inflammatory response persistently. Here, we review studies devoted to understanding the strategies utilized by P. gingivalis to escape host immunity.
