Abstract Objective To compare the similarities and differences between patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and those with other community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU), utilizing propensity score matching (PSM), regarding hospitalization expenses, treatment options, and prognostic outcomes, aiming to inform the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. Methods Patients admitted to the ICU of the Third People’s Hospital of Datong City, diagnosed with COVID-19 from December 2022 to February 2023, constituted the observation group, while those with other CAP admitted from January to November 2022 formed the control group. Basic information, clinical data at admission, and time from symptom onset to admission were matched using PSM. Results A total of 70 patients were included in the COVID-19 group and 119 in the CAP group. The patients were matched by the propensity matching method, and 37 patients were included in each of the last two groups. After matching, COVID-19 had a higher failure rate than CAP, but the difference was not statistically significant (73% vs. 51%, p = 0.055). IntroductionTo investigate the differences in the response of radial growth of larch (Larix gmelinii) at varying altitude gradients to climatic factors, this study established tree-ring width chronologies of Larix gmelinii at altitudes of 900 m, 1,120 m and 1,300 m based dendroclimatology.MethodsWe also employed R packages including “dplR,” “static” and “moving” to determine the correlation between larch at different altitudes and climatic factors and to explore the sensitivity and stability between radial growth and the climate of larch at different altitudes in the northern part of the Greater Khingan Mountains Range in Northeast China.ResultsThe results revealed the radial growth of larch in high altitude areas to exhibit a downward trend due to climate warming, while the growth of trees in intermediate and low altitude areas showed an upward trend. Abstract Background Previous studies concerning the association between preoperative Hemoglobin (HB) level and the Length Of hospital Stay (LOS) in patients with non-cardiac surgery and non-obstetric surgery remain inconclusive. Herein, the objective of this study was to analyze whether and to what extent the preoperative HB level was connected with the LOS in non-cardiac and non-obstetric surgery patients. Methods This retrospective cohort study was performed at a single institution, involving patients who underwent elective non-cardiac, non-obstetric surgery from April 2007 to September 2013. Clinical characteristics of patients such as demographics, comorbidities, preoperative HB level, LOS, mortality, procedure length, and pulmonary hypertension (PHTN) Severity Class data were collected. A univariate analysis was used to determine the association between clinical characteristics and LOS. Multivariate regression analysis was conducted to investigate the relationship between preoperative HB level and LOS. Results and discussion In this study, 311 patients were included. Investigating the long-term dynamics in the canopy proves to be difficult due to the short observational records of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). To explore the linkage between tree growth, NDVI dynamics and large-scale atmospheric circulation in the Greater Khingan Mountain, Northeast China, we established a chronology of Larix gmelinii tree ring width at three elevations (870–920 m, 1,100–1,150 m and 1,270–1,320 m) in the northern foothills of the mountain range. We then calculated the correlations between the tree ring chronologies and NDVI and climate factors, and reconstructed the NDVI time series from June to September 1759–2021 in the region based on the middle-elevation tree ring chronology. The results identify the positive effect of temperature (r = 0.56, p < 0.01) and the negative effect of precipitation (r = −0.44, p < 0.01) in the growing season as the main influencing factors of NDVI for the study period (1981–2019). The 11-year moving average of the reconstructed NDVI series reveals two periods of high canopy vigor (1898–1926 and 2009–2013) and three periods of low canopy vigor (1860–1962, 1882–1888 and 1968–1977) in the last 263 years. These periods correspond to drought events recorded in the historical literature. Wavelet analysis shows that the reconstructed sequences exhibited 11–13, 23–25, and 39–42 years period variations. Integrating this with spatial correlation analysis reveals that tree growth in the Mangui region was impacted by the combined effect of the North Pacific Decadal Oscillation and the North Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation. The results of this paper provide a reference for the study of vegetation change patterns in the northern foothills of the Greater Khingan Mountains.

In northeastern China, simultaneous reconstruction of temperature and precipitation changes in the same region using tree ring data has not yet been reported, limiting our understanding of the historical climate. Using tree ring samples from the Greater Khingan Mountains, it was established that there are five standardized tree ring width chronologies of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica at five elevations. Correlation analyses revealed significant relationships between the tree ring chronologies and climate data for multiple months. Specifically, the correlation coefficient between the average minimum temperature from May to July and the composite chronologies of mid–high and mid-elevations was 0.726, whereas that between the total precipitation from August to July and the low-elevation chronology was 0.648 (p < 0.01). Based on these findings, we reconstructed two series: the average minimum temperature from May to July over the past 211 years and the total precipitation from August to July over the past 214 years. The reconstructed sequences revealed changes in the average minimum temperature from 1812 to 2022 and precipitation from 1809 to 2022 in the northern part of the Greater Khingan Mountains. The variances explained by the reconstruction equations were 0.528 and 0.421 (adjusted R-squared: 0.520 and 0.411), with F-test values of 65.896 and 42.850, respectively, exceeding the significance level of 0.01. The reliability of the reconstructed sequences was validated by historical records of meteorological disasters and the reconstruction results in the surrounding area. The reconstructed temperature and precipitation sequences exhibited distinct patterns of temperature fluctuations, dry–wet changes, and periodic oscillations. The region experienced two warm periods (1896–1909 and 2006–2020), two cold periods (1882–1888 and 1961–1987), a wet period (1928–1938), a drought period (1912–1914), and a period prone to severe drought events (1893–1919) during the past 210 years. The temperature series showed periodicities of 2–2.5 years, 3.9 years, 5.2 years, and 68 years, while the precipitation series exhibited periodicities of 2.1 years, 2.5 years, and 2.8 years, possibly related to El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events, quasi-biennial oscillation, and Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO). Spatial correlation analysis indicated that the reconstructed temperature and precipitation sequences accurately represented the hydrothermal changes in the study area.

A series of polycarboxylate superplasticizers (PCEs) with different side-chain densities, main chain polymerization degrees, and side-chain lengths were designed and synthesized using a novel highly active ethylene glycol mono vinyl ether polyethylene glycol as the ether monomer. The influence of polycarboxylate ether on the rheological properties, interface adsorption, and hydration characteristics in cement paste was investigated through characterization of charge density, rheological properties, adsorption behavior, and hydration heat. The results indicate that the adsorption process of PCE on cement particles is spontaneous physical adsorption, and the hydration kinetics fitting reveals that the geometric crystal growth exponent n is in the range of 1–2, with needle-like and lamellar hydration products formed. With a decrease in side-chain density, the broadening of molecular weight distribution and the increase of charge density accelerate the flow of slurry, reduces saturation adsorption, and delays cement hydration. A decrease in main chain polymerization degree results in a downward trend in molecular weight and charge density, leading to larger molecular conformations, reduced slurry flow, decreased saturation adsorption, and delayed cement hydration. As the side-chain length of PCE (molecular weight) increases, the charge density decreases, and the molecular conformation exhibits a compact structure with reduced slurry flow, decreased saturation adsorption, and delayed cement hydration. In cases of low side-chain density, short side chains, and low molecular weight, enhanced adsorption capacity and faster adsorption rates are observed, resulting in the lower viscosity and a delay in the cement hydration process.

To study the radial growth of Mongolian pine (Pinus sylvestris var. mongholica, MP) trees in response to climatic factors against the global warming background in the northeast part of the Greater Khingan Mountains (GKM), 101 tree cores were collected at contrasting altitudes (1100 and 650 m) in the Mordoga area, a tree-ring width chronology of MP was established for that region at both altitudes, and the relation between climatic factors and ring width trends at different time scales was investigated. The results revealed four major findings. (1) The ring width chronology of MP in the low-altitude area has better quality. (2) The growth of MP at high (low) altitude was mainly influenced by temperature (precipitation) factors. (3) Before a sudden change in temperature, there was a decreasing trend in the annual indices of MPs at higher altitudes. The chronological coefficients of MPs at both altitudes showed a significant upward trend after the increase in temperature. (4) The sliding analysis results showed that the stability of the relationship between MP growth and its response to climatic factors at both altitudes was also mostly similar. MP growth is relatively stable and sensitive and to climatic factors as temperatures increase.

Abstract Background Oncostatin M (OSM) is a secreted cytokine of the interleukin (IL)-6 family that induces biological effects by activating functional receptor complexes of the common signal transducing component glycoprotein 130 (gp130) and OSM receptor β (OSMR) or leukaemia inhibitory factor receptor (LIFR), which are mainly involved in chronic inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases. The effect and underlying mechanism of OSM/OSMR/LIFR on the development of cardiac hypertrophy remains unclear. Methods and results OSMR-knockout (OSMR-KO) mice were subjected to aortic banding (AB) surgery to establish a model of pressure overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy. Echocardiographic, histological, biochemical and immunological analyses of the myocardium and the adoptive transfer of bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) were conducted for in vivo studies. BMDMs were isolated and stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) for the in vitro study. OSMR deficiency aggravated cardiac hypertrophy, fibrotic remodelling and cardiac dysfunction after AB surgery in mice. Mechanistically, the loss of OSMR activated OSM/LIFR/STAT3 signalling and promoted a proresolving macrophage phenotype that exacerbated inflammation and impaired cardiac repair during remodelling. In addition, adoptive transfer of OSMR-KO BMDMs to WT mice after AB surgery resulted in a consistent hypertrophic phenotype. Moreover, knockdown of LIFR in myocardial tissue with Ad-shLIFR ameliorated the effects of OSMR deletion on the phenotype and STAT3 activation. Conclusions OSMR deficiency aggravated pressure overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy by modulating macrophages and OSM/LIFR/STAT3 signalling, which provided evidence that OSMR might be an attractive target for treating pathological cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure.

We used tree-ring width data of Larix gmelinii and Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica from the northern region of the Daxing’an Mountains, China; normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) data; and microtopographic information (elevation, slope direction, slope gradient, and topographic location index) to assess spatiotemporal dynamics in the growth of the boreal forest and topographic patterns of forest decline under the background of climate warming. Forest growth trends were determined based on tree growth decline indicators and NDVI time series trends, and topographic patterns of forest decline were analyzed using the C5.0 decision tree model. More climatic information was present in the radial growth of the trees at higher elevations, and P. sylvestris var. mongolica was influenced strongly by climatic factors of the previous year. Since 1759, tree radial growth trends in the study area have experienced two recessions during 1878–1893 and 1935–1943, which were characterized by persistent narrow whorls of tree rings of below-average growth. Changes in NDVI and tree-ring information were similar, and they together indicate a high risk of declining forest growth in the northern Daxing’an Mountains after 2010, especially at higher elevations. The NDVI time series showed that the high temperatures in 2003 negatively affected forest growth in the study area, which was confirmed by the tree-ring data. The decision tree terrain model results had an accuracy of 0.861, and elevation was the most important terrain factor affecting forest decline. The relative importance of elevation, topographic position index, aspect, and slope was 58.41%, 17.70%, 16.81%, and 7.08%, respectively. Classification rule-based decision tree models can be used to quantify the effects of terrain factors on tree growth. This research methodology can aid the management of regional forestry resources and the conservation of forest resources under the background of climate change, which increases the risk of forest decline.

It is necessary to understand the radial growth responses of trees in the Greater Khingan Range to climatic factors to predict changes in forest ecosystems under climate change scenarios. We sampled Mongolian pine (Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica) and Dahurian larch (Larix gmelinii (Rupr.) Kuzen) at four locations at elevations of 900–1100 m in the Greater Khingan Range to establish a tree-ring chronology. The Vaganov–Shashkin (VS) model was used to describe the relationship between tree radial growth and the dominant limiting climatic factors with a focus on physiological processes. The results showed that the VS model accurately reflected the effects of various climatic factors on the growth of Mongolian pine and Dahurian larch. The simulated and measured tree-ring widths index (RWI, the same as below) were consistent. The physiological parameters affecting tree growth differed for the two tree species in the study area. Mongolian pine required higher temperatures and less soil moisture for growth than Dahurian larch. The growth rings of the two tree species are more consistent across the elevation gradient. Higher-elevation trees had an “intensive strategy” with shorter growing periods and high growth rates, whereas low-elevation tree species had a “broad strategy” with lower maximum growth rates for longer periods. The start and cessation date of tree growth strongly affected the RWI of Mongolian pine and high-elevation Dahurian larch, but no significant effect on the RWI of low-elevation Dahurian larch. Differences in the limiting climatic factors were observed between Mongolian pine and Dahurian larch. Mongolian pine shows some similarity between high and low elevations, subject to the common limitations of temperature and soil moisture during the growing season for both, with a greater proportion of the lower elevations being limited by soil moisture. Dahurian larch was influenced by the growing season temperatures and May–August soil moisture at higher elevations and by the growing season soil moisture at lower elevations. This study provides a scientific basis for the management and conservation of forest ecosystems in the Greater Khingan Range.

Polycarboxylate ether (PCE) with different main chain structures was prepared by aqueous solution free radical polymerization using unsaturated acids containing sulfonic acid groups, acrylamide groups, and carboxyl groups and isoprenyl polyoxyethylene ether (IPEG). The molecular structure was characterized by infrared spectroscopy and gel chromatography, while adsorption, dispersion, and hydration properties were studied using a total organic carbon analyzer, rheometer, and isothermal microcalorimeter, respectively. The results show that the adsorption process of PCE on cement particles is spontaneous physical adsorption. The adsorption forces are mainly electrostatic interaction, and hydrogen bonding. The introduction of sulfonic acid groups and polycarboxylic acid groups reduces the initial adsorption amount of PCE but can accelerate the adsorption rate of PCE on cement and increase the adsorption amount at the adsorption equilibrium. The introduction of acrylamide groups in the PCE main chain is beneficial to the initial dispersion of PCE and can reduce the plastic viscosity of cement slurry. PCE can delay the hydration of cement. The introduction of acrylamide groups and dicarboxylic acid groups in the PCE main chain helps prolong the induction period of cement hydration, while the introduction of sulfonic acid groups is not conducive to its retarding effect.

To investigate the effects of Reference cement (RC) and Belite cement (LC) systems, different molecular structures of polycarboxylate ether (PCE) were prepared through the free radical polymerization reaction and designated as PC-1 and PC-2. The PCE was characterized and tested using a particle charge detector, gel permeation chromatography, a rotational rheometer, a total organic carbon analyzer, and scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that compared to PC-2, PC-1 exhibited higher charge density and better molecular structure extension, with smaller side-chain molecular weight and molecular volume. PC-1 demonstrated enhanced adsorption capacity in cement, improved initial dispersibility of cement slurry, and a reduction in slurry yield stress of more than 27.8%. LC, with its higher C2S content and smaller specific surface area compared to RC, could decrease the formation of flocculated structures, resulting in a reduction in slurry yield stress of over 57.5% and displaying favorable fluidity in cement slurry. PC-1 had a greater retarding effect on the hydration induction period of cement compared to PC-2. RC, which had a higher C3S content, could adsorb more PCE, leading to a greater retarding effect on the hydration induction period compared to LC. LC and PC-2, on the other hand, exhibited inhibition during the hydration acceleration period. The addition of PCE with different structures did not significantly affect the morphology of hydration products in the later stage, which was consistent with the trend of KD variation. This indicates that the analysis of hydration kinetics can better reflect the final hydration morphology.

This study synthesized polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE) with varying carboxyl densities and main chain degrees of polymerization. The structural parameters of PCE were characterized using gel permeation chromatography and infrared spectroscopy. The study investigated the impact of PCE’s diverse microstructures on cement slurry’s adsorption, rheology, hydration heat, and kinetics. Microscopy was used to analyze the products’ morphology. The findings indicated that an increase in carboxyl density led to an increase in molecular weight and hydrodynamic radius. A carboxyl density of 3.5 resulted in the highest flowability of cement slurry and the most considerable adsorption amount. However, the adsorption effect weakened when the carboxyl density was the highest. Decreasing the main chain degree of polymerization led to a significant reduction in the molecular weight and hydrodynamic radius. A main chain degree of 16.46 resulted in the highest flowability of slurry, and both large and small main chain degrees of polymerization exhibited single-layer adsorption. PCE samples with higher carboxyl density caused the greatest delay in the induction period, whereas PCE-3 promoted the hydration period’s acceleration. Hydration kinetics model analysis indicated that PCE-4 yielded needle-shaped hydration products with a small nucleation number in the crystal nucleation and growth stage, while PCE-7’s nucleation was most influenced by ion concentration. The addition of PCE improved the hydration degree after three days and facilitated the strength’s later development compared to the blank sample.

Abstract Background Excision Repair Cross-Complementation group 6-like (ERCC6L) has been shown to exhibit carcinogenic effect in several malignant tumors. However, the function and molecular mechanism of the ERCC6L in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have not been investigated extensively. Methods Immunohistochemistry analyses were used to detect ERCC6L expression in a HCC tissue microarray, and the Chi-square test was used to assess the correlation between ERCC6L expression and patients’ clinicopathological features. shRNA was used to down-regulation ERCC6L expression in HCC cell lines. MTT assay, plate clone formation assay, flow cytometry, caspase 3/7 activity and migration assays were performed to evaluate the impact of ERCC6L on HCC cells in vitro. Nude mice xenograft models were used to assess the role of ERCC6L in vivo. The regulatory of mechanism of PI3K/AKT pathway was evaluated by western blotting. Results ERCC6L was highly expressed in HCC tissue compared with tumor adjacent tissues in 90 paired samples. ERCC6L expression positively correlated with gender, tumor encapsulation, and pathological stage. Patients with low ERCC6L expression had significantly longer OS than those with high ERCC6L expression. Knockdown of ERCC6L expression significantly inhibited proliferation, invasion and metastasis in vitro and tumor growth in vivo, and it promoted cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Mechanistic analyses revealed that PI3K/AKT and NF-κB signaling pathway were inhibited by silencing ERCC6L. Conclusion These results demonstrate that ERCC6L plays a critical role in HCC progression, and thereby might be a potential therapeutic target for HCC patients.

Abstract Background RelB, a member of the NF-κB family, plays a critical role in the development of T cells. However, the role of RelB in Foxp3+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) remains controversial. Results Using a bone marrow chimeric mouse model, we demonstrated that the expansion of Foxp3+ Tregs in vivo could be mediated by extrinsic mechanisms. RelB plays an important role in inhibiting the homeostatic proliferation of Tregs, but not their survival. Even with the heightened expansion, RelB −/− Treg cells displayed normal suppressive function in vitro. Among the expanded populations of Treg cells, most were nTreg cells; however, the population of iTregs did not increase. Mechanistically, RelB seems to regulate Treg proliferation independently of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 5 (STAT5) pathway. Conclusions These data suggest that RelB regulates Treg proliferation independently of the STAT5 pathway, but does not alter the function of Tregs. Further studies are warranted to uncover such mechanisms.

Abstract Background Cancer stem cells (CSCs) have been proposed to be responsible for tumor recurrence and chemo-resistance. Previous studies suggested that miR-153 played essential roles in lung cancer. However, the molecular mechanism of miR-153 in regulating the stemness of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the role of miR-153 in regulation of the stemness of NSCLC. Methods The stemness property of lung stem cancer cells was detected by sphere formation assay, immunofluorescence, and Western blot. Luciferase reporter assay was performed to investigate the direct binding of miR-153 to the 3′-UTR of JAG1 mRNA. Animal study was conducted to evaluate the effect of miR-153 on tumor growth in vivo. The clinical relevance of miR-153 in NSCLC was evaluated by Rt-PCR and Kaplan-Meier analysis. Results MiR-153 expression was decreased in lung cancer tissues. Reduced miR-153 expression was associated with lung metastasis and poor overall survival of lung cancer patients. Jagged1, one of the ligands of Notch1, is targeted by miR-153 and inversely correlates with miR-153 in human lung samples. More importantly, we found that miR-153 inhibited stem cell-like phenotype and tumor growth of lung adenocarcinoma through inactivating the Jagged1/Notch1 axis. Conclusion MiR-153 suppresses the stem cell-like phenotypes and tumor growth of lung adenocarcinoma by targeting Jagged1 and provides a potential therapeutic target in lung cancer therapy.

Lower-grade gliomas (LGGs) have a good prognosis with a wide range of overall survival (OS) outcomes. An accurate prognostic system can better predict survival time. An RNA-Sequencing (RNA-seq) prognostic signature showed a better predictive power than clinical predictor models. A signature constructed using gene pairs can transcend changes from biological heterogeneity, technical biases, and different measurement platforms. RNA-seq coupled with corresponding clinical information were extracted from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas (CGGA). Immune-related gene pairs (IRGPs) were used to establish a prognostic signature through univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was used to evaluate module eigengenes correlating with immune cell infiltration and to construct gene co-expression networks. Samples in the training and testing cohorts were dichotomized into high- and low-risk groups. Risk score was identified as an independent predictor, and exhibited a closed relationship with prognosis. WGCNA presented a gene set that was positively correlated with age, WHO grade, isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation status, 1p/19 codeletion, risk score, and immune cell infiltrations (CD4 T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages). A nomogram comprising of age, WHO grade, 1p/19q codeletion, and three gene pairs (BIRC5|SSTR2, BMP2|TNFRSF12A, and NRG3|TGFB2) was established as a tool for predicting OS. The IPGPs signature, which is associated with immune cell infiltration, is a novel tailored tool for individual-level prediction.

Multidrug-resistant bacterial infections pose a serious threat to human health and safety and impose an increasingly significant economic burden. Bacterial infections often lead to an excessive inflammatory response in wounds, which, in turn, exacerbates bacterial infection and results in delayed wound healing. Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are believed to be powerful weapons against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Here, we report an injectable, carrier-free hydrogel, formed by the self-assembled nanofibers of the AMP W-J-1, for the treatment of resistant bacterially infected wounds. The hydrogel exhibits antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties without the addition of any other additional drugs or chemicals. In a mouse model of MRSA-infected wounds, the W-J-1 hydrogel effectively inhibits bacterial growth, reduces inflammation, and accelerates wound healing. Furthermore, it does not cause changes in blood indicators or organ damage after 21 days of treatment. This promising peptide hydrogel offers the potential for the treatment of drug-resistant bacterial infections in wounds, providing a strategy for the development of dual-functional wound dressings with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Materials that can realize photo-electric conversion have received continuous attention. Composite materials constructed from ferroelectric polymers and photoresponsive materials have been demonstrated to generate substantial photo-electric responses and have several important applications, such as sensors and artificial retinal prostheses. However, currently, the photo-electric response of such materials is relatively low. Here, we developed flexible photo-electric conversion composites consisting of Schiff base molecular crystals with photoresponsive and ferroelectric polymers. We investigated the structure-property relationships of the composites and obtained composite materials with strong photo-electric responses over the whole visible light range. The maximum peak-to-peak open-circuit voltage exceeds 80 V, which is significantly superior to that of other photo-electric conversion materials based on ferroelectric polymers. We further demonstrated that the excellent photo-electric response of these composites is mainly due to the coupling of the photothermal effect of Schiff base molecular crystals and the pyroelectric effect of ferroelectric polymers. Lanthanum-doped titanium (La/TiO2) nano-photocatalysts were prepared using the sol-gel method and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), zeta potential, and low-temperature nitrogen adsorption analyses. Ester-105, a flotation collector from beneficiation wastewater, was chosen as the target pollutant. The influence of the initial ester-105 concentration, pH, and photocatalyst dosage on the photocatalytic degradation of ester-105 was investigated. To examine the kinetics of the adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of ester-105, a Langmuir adsorption model and Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic models were established and discussed. The synthesized photocatalyst comprised anatase-phase TiO2, with an isoelectric point of pH = 6.5, specific surface area of 56.1626m²•g-1, and average pore size of 7.78 nm. The maximum adsorption and the adsorption equilibrium constant of La/TiO2 for ester-105 were determined as 0.338mg²•g-1 and 1.008 L²•g-1, respectively. The first-order kinetic reaction rate constant (k) exhibited a linear relationship with the initial ester-105 concentration. The optimal pH for ester degradation was theoretically determined to be 6.95, and the optimum photocatalyst dosage was found to be 0.2739 g•L-1. Experiments confirmed that the photocatalytic degradation of ester-105 using La/TiO2 followed the Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetics model, thereby providing a theoretical foundation for the photocatalytic degradation of ester-105 for industrial application.
