The high-temperature deformation behavior of Ti–6.5Al–2Sn–4Zr–4Mo–1W–0.2Si alloy with initial lamellar microstructure was investigated through performing hot compression experiments at temperatures of 940–1,030°C and strain rates of 0.001–10 s−1 on the Gleeble-3500 simulator. Three kinds of typical flow curves corresponding to different strain rates were distinguished. The deformation activation energy and Zener–Hollomon parameter were obtained through kinetic analysis. By comparing saturated dislocation density with the critical density for dynamic recrystallization, dynamic softening behaviors were identified and verified by the Poliak–Jonas criterion. Furthermore, a piecewise physical-based constitutive model incorporating dynamic softening behaviors was constructed. Finally, microstructures deformed under different deformation conditions were analyzed to further verify the softening behaviors determined by identification criterions.

Imazalil, a preservative for navel orange in the process of postharvest processing, is easy to seep into the flesh through the peel and produce residues in the flesh, which is vulnerable to cause endanger to human body if it was eaten accidentally. Base on this, a fast detection method of imazalil residues in navel orange peel ,namely surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) was proposed in this study. Firstly, the SERS detection conditions of imazalil residues in navel orange peel were optimized, and the optimal detection conditions were determined as follows: Reaction time of 2 min, gold colloid of 400 µL, NaBr as electrolyte solution, NaBr dosage of 25 µL. Based on the above optimal conditions, 6 groups of spectral data processed by adaptive iterative penalized least squares (air PLS), air PLS combination with normalization, air PLS combination with baseline correction, air PLS combination with first derivative, air PLS combination with standard normal distribution (SNV), air PLS combination with multiplicative scatter correction (MSC) were used to establish support vector regression (SVR) models and compare the models prediction performance. And air PLS method was selected as the spectral pretreatment method, because the value of correlation coefficient computed value of prediction set (RP) is the largest, and the value of root mean square error calculated value of the prediction set (RMSEP) is the smallest. Then, principal component analysis (PCA) was used to extract the features from spectral data, and the first seven principal component scores were selected as the input values of SVR prediction model. SVR, multiple linear regression (MLR) and partial least squares regression (PLSR) were used to analyze and compare the prediction performances. The RP value of prediction set of SVR prediction model could reach 0.9156, the RMSEP value of their prediction set was 4.8407 mg/kg, and the relative standard deviation computation value (RPD) was 2.3103, which indicated that the closer the predicted value of imazalil residue on navel orange surface based on SVR algorithm was to the measured value, the more effective the prediction accuracy of the model could be. The above data indicated that the speedy detection of imazalil residues in navel orange peel could be emploied by SERS coupled with PCA and SVR modeling method.

In order to solve the problem of low biogas production caused by low temperature in northern cold area, the solar energy and biogas boiler combination warming system is proposed to raise the temperature of biogas digester. In this paper, under the condition of the optimum area of solar collector, it's obtained that changeable rule of solar energy guarantee rate with month and rule of heating ratio of biogas boiler in the whole year. The solar energy guarantee rate of the system is more than 55.9%, and the combined heating capacity of solar energy and biogas boiler is enough to meet the requirements of annual operation conditions, which is reliable in the northern cold area.

In order to solve the problem of low gas production of biogas digester fermented at natural temperature in winter and possibly freezing biogas digester in northern cold areas, the biogas digester combined with solar heating system is proposed to maintain the normal fermentation temperature of biogas digester and ensure the continuous and efficient gas production of biogas digester throughout the year. Through the experiment and analysis of the system, in cold area, the temperature of biogas digester can be maintained above 12.5 °C, which can meet the temperature requirements of normal fermentation in biogas digester, so it is concluded that developing solar heating biogas digester project is feasible in cold area.

Understanding the energy development ideas of the Yellow River Basin has a very important impact on the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. Aiming at the restriction and promotion of energy consumption in the Yellow River Basin to its high-quality development, this article takes the nine provinces of the Yellow River as the research object, builds an evaluation model based on the data of the river basin from 2004 to 2017, and uses the entropy method and elastic coefficient method to study the coupling characteristics of watershed energy consumption for its high-quality development in time and space. The results show that the high-quality development level of the river basin is generally increasing, the consumption level is generally decreasing, and the coupling of energy consumption and high-quality development is optimized year by year. Finally, according to the coupling of energy consumption level and high-quality development level, a development strategy suitable for improvement is proposed.

The Yellow River Basin is a major economic development area in China, and the high quality development of the basin still has great room for improvement. The coordinated development of energy, environment, economy and ecology is one of the keys to high quality development of the watershed. Aiming at the problem of energy, environment, economy and ecology restricting and promoting, this paper takes the nine provinces of the Yellow River as the research object, based on data from 2004 to 2017, through establishing the coupling coordination system of ecology, environment, economy and energy, using CRITIC method to study the characteristics of each subsystem of the basin in time and space. The results show that the score of energy, environment, economy and ecology is phased in time, and the level of compound coupling coordination is increasing year by year and the growth rate is obvious. The coupling coordination degree of the Yellow River basin has significant stage and regional characteristics in time and space, the coordination degree of the upper and middle reaches is higher than the coordination degree of the downstream coupling, but the difference between the three is gradually reduced with time.

The Yellow River Basin is ecologically fragile, the relationship between water and sand is unbalanced and water resources are scarce. This paper takes the urban agglomerations in the Yellow River Basin as the research object, based on the guidelines for the coordinated promotion of ecological protection and high-quality development in the basin, and uses the entropy weight method and the coefficient of variation method as the means to establish a quantitative evaluation system for coordinated development. The degree of synergy is between ecological protection and high-quality development of the urban agglomerations from the time dimension and the space dimension, and we give the optimization directions. The results show that the degree of synergy among urban agglomerations in the river basin is steadily increasing, but there are significant spatial differences in the degree of coordination of ecological protection and high-quality development of the urban agglomerations and the development index of its subsystems. The degree of synergy generally presents a cascade distribution pattern that gradually decreases from east to west and from downstream to upstream. The ecological destruction, economic fluctuations and water waste of the river basin urban agglomeration are the main factors hindering the improvement of synergy.

In order to make data centers meet the requirements of green data center standards, this paper starts with air conditioning systems with high energy consumption, and dynamically optimizes airflow organization. It uses limited space convection heat transfer and air kinematics to dissipate multiple processes in the data center. The process is solved by MATLAB optimization and reverse demonstration. In this paper, the influence of cold air flow on cabinet cooling is divided into four key processes: mixing loss during descent, convective heat transfer in descending process, the convection heat exchange during the steady flow process, and mixed airflow discharge. By analyzing the temperature change of cold airflow in each process, and seeking the relationship between velocity v and air resistance F in viscous gas flow, the temperature-velocity relationship is obtained. Then the relationship between cold loss, PUE value and indoor height of the data center was analyzed to obtain the ceiling height corresponding to the standard cabinet height. The best combination is the ceiling height of 3.5m and the cabinet height of 2m and the corresponding PUE value is about 1.87, which meets the requirements of green data centers and is highly economical.

Abstract Background Histone acetyltransferases (HATs) play an important role in eukaryotic transcription. Eight HATs identified in rice (OsHATs) can be organized into four families, namely the CBP (OsHAC701, OsHAC703, and OsHAC704), TAFII250 (OsHAF701), GNAT (OsHAG702, OsHAG703, and OsHAG704), and MYST (OsHAM701) families. The biological functions of HATs in rice remain unknown, so a comprehensive protein sequence analysis of the HAT families was conducted to investigate their potential functions. In addition, the subcellular localization and expression patterns of the eight OsHATs were analyzed. Results On the basis of a phylogenetic and domain analysis, monocotyledonous CBP family proteins can be subdivided into two groups, namely Group I and Group II. Similarly, dicotyledonous CBP family proteins can be divided into two groups, namely Group A and Group B. High similarities of protein sequences, conserved domains and three-dimensional models were identified among OsHATs and their homologs in Arabidopsis thaliana and maize. Subcellular localization predictions indicated that all OsHATs might localize in both the nucleus and cytosol. Transient expression in Arabidopsis protoplasts confirmed the nuclear and cytosolic localization of OsHAC701, OsHAG702, and OsHAG704. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis demonstrated that the eight OsHATs were expressed in all tissues examined with significant differences in transcript abundance, and their expression was modulated by abscisic acid and salicylic acid as well as abiotic factors such as salt, cold, and heat stresses. Conclusions Both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous CBP family proteins can be divided into two distinct groups, which suggest the possibility of functional diversification. The high similarities of protein sequences, conserved domains and three-dimensional models among OsHATs and their homologs in Arabidopsis and maize suggested that OsHATs have multiple functions. OsHAC701, OsHAG702, and OsHAG704 were localized in both the nucleus and cytosol in transient expression analyses with Arabidopsis protoplasts. OsHATs were expressed constitutively in rice, and their expression was regulated by exogenous hormones and abiotic stresses, which suggested that OsHATs may play important roles in plant defense responses.

Abstract Background While substantive epidemiological literature suggests that alcohol drinking and obesity are potential risk factors of colorectal cancer (CRC), the possible interaction between the two has not been adequately explored. We used a case-control study to examine if alcohol drinking is associated with an increased risk of CRC and if such risk differs in people with and without obesity. Methods Newly diagnosed CRC cases were identified between 1999 and 2003 in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). Cases were frequency-matched by age and sex with controls selected using random digit dialing. Cases (702) and controls (717) completed self-administered questionnaires assessing health and lifestyle variables. Estimates of alcohol intake included types of beverage, years of drinking, and average number of alcohol drinks per day. Odds ratios were estimated to investigate the associations of alcohol independently and when stratified by obesity status on the risk of CRC. Results Among obese participants (BMI ≥ 30), alcohol was associated with higher risk of CRC (OR: 2.2; 95% CI: 1.2-4.0) relative to the non-alcohol category. Among obese individuals, 3 or more different types of drinks were associated with a 3.4-fold higher risk of CRC relative to non-drinkers. The risk of CRC also increased with drinking years and drinks daily among obese participants. However, no increased risk was observed in people without obesity. Conclusion The effect of alcohol of drinking on CRC seems to be modified by obesity.

Alteration of cell metabolism is one of the essential characteristics of tumor growth. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are the initiating cells of tumorigenesis, proliferation, recurrence, and other processes, and play an important role in therapeutic resistance and metastasis. Thus, identification of the metabolic profiles in prostate cancer stem cells (PCSCs) is critical to understanding prostate cancer progression. Using untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics methods, we show distinct metabolic differences between prostate cancer cells and PCSCs. Urea cycle is the most significantly altered metabolic pathway in PCSCs, the key metabolites arginine and proline are evidently elevated. Proline promotes cancer stem‐like characteristics via the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. Meanwhile, the enzyme pyrroline‐5‐carboxylate reductase 1 (PYCR1), which catalyzes the conversion of pyrroline‐5‐carboxylic acid to proline, is highly expressed in PCSCs, and the inhibition of PYCR1 suppresses the stem‐like characteristics of prostate cancer cells and tumor growth. In addition, carnitine and free fatty acid levels are significantly increased, indicating reprogramming of fatty acid metabolism in PCSCs. Reduced sphingolipid levels and increased triglyceride levels are also observed. Collectively, our data illustrate the comprehensive landscape of the metabolic reprogramming of PCSCs and provide potential therapeutic strategies for prostate cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Controlling carbon emissions is a global goal, and China is actively implementing carbon reduction measures. As a major agricultural nation, China has considerable potential for developing agricultural residues as renewable and environmentally friendly biomass energy. In this study, we obtained data on crop yields, crop-to-grain ratios, and livestock excretion coefficients to calculate the biomass resources of agricultural and livestock residues in Chinese provinces from 2013 to 2022. Crop residue biomass resources showed a distribution pattern with higher levels in the north than in the south and the east than in the west. Henan and Heilongjiang provinces consistently had the highest resource levels, exceeding 35 million tons annually for 10 years. The biomass resources from livestock residues were relatively abundant in Sichuan, Henan, Yunnan, Shandong, Hunan, and Inner Mongolia. Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Shandong, and Henan had the greatest potential for CO2 emission reductions, primarily located in regions abundant in biomass resources and with high traditional energy consumption levels. ArcGIS was used to apply natural break classification to categorize the potential for emission reductions from agricultural and livestock residues across China from 2013 to 2022 into five classes. Based on factors such as crop planting area and livestock numbers, the spatiotemporal distribution of factors influencing the quantity of biomass resources was examined using Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression. A tailored and integrated approach should be used for biomass, and the development of biomass energy should be promoted through policy support and technological innovation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The presence of gas in transmission fluid can disrupt the flow continuity, induce cavitation, and affect the transmission characteristics of the system. In this work, a gas void fraction model of gas–liquid two-phase flow in a transmission tube is established by taking ISO 4113 test oil, air, and vapor to accurately predict the occurrence, development, and end process of the cavitation zone as well as the transient change in gas void fraction. This model is based on the conservative homogeneous flow model, considering the temperature change caused by transmission fluid compression, and cavitation effects including air cavitation, vapor cavitation, and pseudo-cavitation. In this model, the pressure term is connected by the state equation of the gas–liquid mixture and can be applied to the closed hydrodynamic equations. The results show that in the pseudo-cavitation zone, the air void fraction decreases rapidly with pressure increasing, while in the transition zone from pseudo-cavitation to air cavitation, the air void fraction grows extremely faster and then increases slowly with decreasing pressure. However, in the vapor cavitation zone, the vapor void fraction rises slowly, grows rapidly, and then decreases, which is consistent with the explanation that rarefaction waves induce cavitation and compression waves reduce cavitation. In response to the practical production challenges posed by the unreliable operation of the V-shaped squeezing soil-covering and -pressing device (VCP) for planters under clay soil conditions in Northeast China, incomplete seed furrow closure, and severe soil adhesion on pressing wheels, this study proposes a device with star-toothed concave discs for soil-covering and -pressing (STCP) with the aim of enhancing the soil-covering quality of planters. The main working principles of STCP were expounded, and its main structural and installation parameters were determined and designed. Based on bionics, with the dung beetle's protruding head structure as the research object and UHMWPE as the material, an optimized protuberance-type bionic pressing wheel was designed. A Box–Behnken experiment was conducted by taking the width of the compression wheel, the spring deformation, and the installation angle as experimental factors, as well as the weight of the soil adhered to the surface of the pressing wheel (SW) and the soil compactness (SC) as the evaluation indicators. The optimal structural parameters of the pressing device were determined as follows: the width of the pressing wheel was 60.57 mm, the spring deformation was 55.19 mm, and the installation angle was 10.70°. The field comparison tests of soil covering performance showed that the star-tooth concave disc soil-covering device can effectively solve the problem of seed "hanging" and "drying". The average covered soil weight of the star-tooth concave disc soil-covering device was 241.46 g, and the average covered soil weight of VCP was 223.56 g. Compared with VCP, the average covered soil weight of STCP increased by 8.01%. The variation coefficient of covered soil weight after the operation of the star-tooth concave disc soil-covering device was 3.71%, which was more uniform than VCP. The field comparison tests of soil-covering thickness showed that the uniformity of soil-covering thickness can be significantly improved by adding a star-tooth concave disc soil-covering device to VCP. The comparative tests of soil anti-adhesive showed that the convex hull type pressing wheels optimized by bionics had better soil anti-adhesive performance, and the soil adhesion weight was reduced by 43.68% compared with VCP. The field comparative tests of seedling emergence showed that the seedling emergence rate after STCP operation was 3.9% higher than that of VCP. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
