Comprehensive Summary: A novel method for synthesizing α‐oxygen organoboron compounds has been developed through acylsilane‐based carbene insertion reactions into C—B bonds. As coupling partners, readily available organoboron compounds (alkenyl, allyl, and allenyl B(pin)) were employed. Based on the substrates, pure insertion into C—B bonds or insertion followed by a siloxy group rearrangement process (from carbon to boron) would occur, delivering the α‐oxygen organoboron compounds with great diversities. Control experiments demonstrated that the electronic effect of the substituents mainly controlled the rearrangement process. Besides, no matter which isomer of substrate (Z or E) was used, the reaction with β‐aryl‐substituted alkenyl B(pin) affords both isomers of products (Z and E, separable through column chromatography). This paper studies 10 Asian economies' experiences during two episodes of financial crises in 1997–08 and 2007–09. Our analysis of five crisis‐hit Asian countries shows that overinvestment via credit expansion and foreign financing has an adverse effect on banking sectors while income inequality contributes significantly to financial distress. With five no‐crisis emerging markets included in our Asia analysis, we find that export‐oriented growth backed up by domestic savings is financially less risky than investment‐led growth facilitated by capital inflows. Since such different strategies of output growth to deal with falling demand are related ultimately to the same factor–rising inequality, this distributional problem must be overcome effectively to enhance financial stability and ensure growth sustainability. Based on the data of listed companies in Chinese A stock market between 2011 and 2020, This paper discusses the empirical analysis of digital finance on enterprise dual innovation by adopting the mediating effect model and threshold regression model, and estimates the mediation and threshold effects of absorptive capacity among them. Our study find that the development of digital finance exerts a significant positive effect on enterprise dual innovation. Compared with exploitative innovation, digital finance exhibits a greater promoting effect on exploratory innovation. Absorptive capacity displays a greater mediating effect between digital finance and exploratory innovation, and exploitative innovation reveals a significant positive effect on exploratory innovation. There is non-linear relationship between digital finance and corporate dual innovation, and the promotion effect shows a leaping growth pattern and significant threshold effect. The heterogeneity analysis from the perspective of property rights and enterprise size shows that the incentive effect of digital finance development on enterprises dual innovation is mainly reflected in non-state-owned enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises. We conduct a bank efficiency comparison among three Chinese regions: Mainland China (CN), Hong Kong (HK), and Macao (MO). Specifically, we investigate the reasons for efficiency differences observed in the three regions from within‐region and cross‐region perspectives. We show that HK and MO maintain stable bank performance over time that lies within the developed‐economy range of efficiency levels. CN used to be well below this range but has been catching up so quickly that efficiency convergence in the three regions seems to be underway. We find that the determinants of bank efficiencies in the three Chinese jurisdictions are similar in some aspects but different in others. Most significant are their similarities in the effects of interest rate differentials, forex reserve accumulations, bank capital positions, interbank financing opportunities, and liquidity mismatch problems. This paper addresses the integrated scheduling optimisation on flow-shop production with one-dimensional cutting stock in make-to-order environments. The upstream cutting-stock process provides the items for the downstream production, while the flow-shop production can be executed only when the required items are released. The efficient schedules on cutting plan and the production sequence should be determined in a coordinated manner to improve the overall efficiency. This study aims to find an integrated schedule to minimise the makespan of the entire manufacturing process. We develop a hybrid algorithm by integrating a local search method and some efficient strategies under the nested partitions framework. Research attention to current account imbalances increases because this problem is now manifested as intensified trade wars between countries. Our paper revisits this global issue from a new perspective complementary to previous studies. We propose a simple economics model and find that the current account balance is related inversely to the ratio of income to consumption inequality. This ratio synthesizes all schemes of consumption smoothing, which hinge on political interventions that temporarily attenuate the problem of rising income inequality. Yet shortsighted policy would have a consequential effect on current accounts in the long run. These theoretical findings accord well with our empirical observation that consumption inequality tracks income inequality loosely in deficit countries but closely in surplus economies, with global imbalances affected by financial liberalization and smoothing opportunities. This work shows that the U.S.-Sino diverse links between income and consumption inequality have to do with their different development levels and policy orientations. Foreign trade, financial markets, and capital flows are used for consumption smoothing in the U.S. but for economic growth in China. Other smoothing schemes are better developed in the U.S. than in China. As a result, income and consumption inequalities are linked loosely in the U.S. burdened with an external deficit but closely in China faced with a persist surplus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
