16. Fuzzy Adaptive Finite-Time Resilient Control Against Unknown False Data Injection Attacks for MIMO Nonlinear Switched Systems With Unknown Dead Zone

Abstract

This article studies the finite-time adaptive resilient control problem for MIMO nonlinear switched systems with the unknown dead zone. The sensors of the controlled systems suffer from unknown false data injection (FDI) attacks so that all states cannot be directly applied to the design process of the controller. To address this negative impact of FDI attacks, a new coordinate transformation is designed in control design. Moreover, the Nussbaum gain technique is introduced to deal with the difficulty of unknown time-varying weights caused by FDI attacks. Based on the common Lyapunov function method, a finite-time resilient control algorithm is designed by employing compromised state variables, which ensures that all signals of the closed-loop systems are bounded under arbitrary switching rules even in the presence of unknown FDI attacks. Compared with the existing results, the proposed control algorithm not only enables the controlled systems to reach an equilibrium state in a finite time but also removes the assumption that the sign of the attack weights is positive. In the end, a practical simulation example proves that the designed control method is valid.

Abstract

One of the commonly used stabilization systems for rock tunnel is shotcrete. However, the hydration of shotcrete is usually accompanied by the development of internal defects and micro damage under high temperature. Additionally, in the actual high‐temperature engineering, the temperature of the rock tunnel exhibits irregular changes. Therefore, in this study, the curing conditions of constant temperature (23°C, 40°C, 60°C, 80°C) and variable temperature (23–40–60–80°C, 80–60–40–23°C) are set, respectively. The mechanical properties and structural properties of polyurethane shotcrete and ordinary Portland shotcrete are introduced. It is determined that the limit temperature for inhibiting the development of sprayed concrete's compressive and splitting strength is between 60°C and 80°C, and the limit temperature for inhibiting the development of bond strength is about 40°C. Meanwhile, the influence of high temperature on the thermal insulation performance of shotcrete is considered. The results that the self‐foaming performance of polymer(polyurethane) reduces the thermal conductivity of shotcrete. Based on this phenomenon, the heat transfer model of shotcrete at room and high temperature is established to clarify the heat transfer process of shotcrete. Results will provide theoretical basis for further research of durability and heat insulation performance of protective spraying material for tunnel under high temperature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The effect of cerium on the high-temperature oxidation behavior of low sulfur martensitic stainless steel 1Cr13Mo was investigated at 700°C, 800°C and 900°C in air, and then analyzed by means of X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and electron probe microanalysis. The external scales formed on samples are composed of Cr2O3 and MnCr2O4 at 700°C and 800°C. When at 900°C, only M2O3 type oxide can be found in the scale of the sample without cerium, and there is still some MnCr2O4 that can be detected in the scale of the sample containing cerium, showing cerium benefits forming MnCr2O4 which makes the scale more protective. After oxidation at 900°C, in the sample containing cerium, segregation of cerium and chromium is found near the metal/scale interface, which indicates that cerium reduces the oxidation rate by modifying the transport process, changing the transportation mechanism from Cr3+ ions' outward diffusion into O2− anions' inward diffusion. Meanwhile, the sample containing cerium shows a smaller number of pores and lower sulfur content near the interface compared with the sample without cerium, which suggests that cerium reduces the pore formation and enhances the scale adhesion.

Abstract

Composite overwrapped pressure vessel (COPV) has been increasingly applied to the space system. The design of the COPV involves various integrated parameters and rigorous requirement of subsystem of satellite. The favourable combination of high pressure performance and light weight of the COPV is a challenging task from the optimal design. In this work, the load sharing ability of metallic liners in COPV was investigated by means of accurate equation solving and numerical models based on grid theory calculation and finite element analysis method respectively. The study focused on the influence of liner thickness and fiber autofrettage stress on the stress and strain distribution between liner and composite at the cylindrical region of COPV. Computational methods on static equilibrium and strain continuity of the COPV are also evaluated. Finally, ideal design which aims to increase performance factor of a COPV to the maximum extent under high reliability and safety constraints is commented. Obtained results indicate that grid theory model results and finite element results are shown to be in good agreement with the experimental results. The effective combination of the present computational methods and numerical simulation is necessary and essential for COPV design.

Abstract

In this work, the fuzzy adaptive output feedback control is investigated for single-input single-output (SISO) uncertain nonlinear systems in strict-feedback form. The controlled systems under consideration of this work contain the immeasurable states and unknown control gain functions. The immeasurable states are estimated by constructing a fuzzy state observer, and the uncertain nonlinear functions are approximated by fuzzy logic systems. In order to settle the issue of 'explosion of complexity' inherent in the conventional backstepping design process, the 'dynamic surface control' (DSC) method is introduced. An observer-based fuzzy adaptive control algorithm is proposed by employing the adaptive backstepping control design technique and constructing the Logarithm Lyapunov functions. The designed fuzzy adaptive control scheme can settle the complexity problem of control scheme and insure that the closed-loop system is semi-globally uniformly ultimately boundedness (SGUUB), a simulation example is considered to illustrate the availability of the designed controller.
