7. Interaction Effect of Psoriasis and Cancer on the Risk of All-Cause Mortality: A Prospective Cohort Study of NHANES Data

Considering the high heterogeneity in systematic review and meta-analysis and inconsistent results in previous studies, the association between psoriasis, cancer, and mortality warrants more investigation. The primary objective of this study was to explore the joint impact of psoriasis and cancer on mortality in a representative cohort of adults residing in the United States. Methods: We analysed comprehensive data obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Study conducted during the periods of 2003-2006 and 2009-2014. Multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed to assess the relationship between psoriasis and cancer. The vital status of participants was tracked until 31 December 2019. A four-level variable combining information on psoriasis and cancer was created, and survival probability was evaluated using the Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox regression analysis. Hazard ratios (HRs) and their corresponding 95 confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated to analyse the association between psoriasis/cancer and all-cause mortality. Results: In total, this study included 15,234 participants, among whom 418 had psoriasis and 1213 had cancer. The findings from the logistic regression analyses indicated a heightened risk of cancer among individuals with psoriasis in comparison to those without psoriasis. Moreover, the risk of skin cancer was higher in participants with psoriasis compared to those without psoriasis. Compared with individuals without cancer and psoriasis, the all-cause mortality HRs were 1.25 (95 CI: 0.87-1.78) for individuals with psoriasis only, 1.48 (95 CI: 1.20-1.82) for participants with cancer only, and 2.28 (95 CI: 1.12-4.63) for individuals with both psoriasis and cancer. Conclusion: The results of our study demonstrated a noteworthy and positive correlation between psoriasis, cancer, and all-cause mortality. Abstract

Knowledge distillation is a general approach to improve the performance of the named entity recognition (NER) models. However, the classical knowledge distillation loss functions are coupled, which leads to poor logit distillation. In order to decouple and effectively improve the performance of logit distillation, this paper proposes an approach, k-best Viterbi decoupling knowledge distillation (kvDKD), which combines k-best Viterbi decoding to improve the computational efficiency, effectively improving the model performance. Additionally, the NER based on deep learning is easy to introduce noise in data augmentation. Therefore, a data augmentation method combining data filtering and entity rebalancing algorithm is proposed, aiming to reduce noise introduced by the original dataset and to enhance the problem of mislabeled data, which can improve the quality of data and reduce overfitting. Based on the above method, a novel named entity recognition model NER-kvDKD (named entity recognition model based on k-best Viterbi decoupling knowledge distillation) is proposed. The comparative experimental results on the datasets of MSRA, Resume, Weibo, CLUENER and CoNLL-2003 show that the proposed method can improve the generalization ability of the model and also effectively improves the student model performance.

While the detrimental effects of authoritarian leadership on employees' organizational-focused voice have been established in the literature, we have yet to understand the relationships between different types of authoritarian leadership and employees' self-interested voice. Drawing on uncertainty management theory, this research argues that discipline-focused authoritarian leadership will be negatively related to employees' self-interested voice via decreased work alienation, whereas dominance-focused authoritarian leadership will be positively related to employees' self-interested voice via increased work alienation. We also predict that employees' perceived overqualification will moderate the relations between different types of authoritarian leadership and work alienation. We collected two-wave data from 495 employees and their direct supervisors. Our findings suggest that work alienation mediated the negative relationship between discipline-focused authoritarian leadership and self-interested voice. In contrast, work alienation mediated the positive relationship between dominance-focused authoritarian leadership and self-interested voice. Additionally, the positive relationship between dominance-focused authoritarian leadership and work alienation was enhanced for employees high in perceived overqualification. Our findings suggest managers display more discipline-focused authoritarian leadership than dominance-focused authoritarian leadership to reduce employees' work deviation and self-interested voice.

Our study used qualitative research methods and a grounded theory approach, collecting data from interviews and archives. Transcripts of eight interviews and seven archival files were selected to generate the results. We found that authoritarian leadership exhibits two seemingly contradictory components, dominance-focused authoritarian leadership and discipline-focused authoritarian leadership, which influence creativity via a negative path and a positive path, respectively. The influence mechanism consists of two stages: the stage of needs perception and the stage of coping strategy. Also, drawing on event system theory, we elicited a new notion of "enabling event," and argued the synergistic mechanism of authoritarian leadership and the energizing event criticality on employee creativity. Our research extends understanding of the effect of authoritarian leadership on employee creativity and highlights the value of an event-oriented theory-building approach to investigating dynamic organizational phenomena.

However, it was found that some inspection and testing institutions have some problems in sampling, inspection, and report standardization during the data verification process. It will have a certain impact on subsequent regulatory and administrative penalties. This article analyzes common problems in the daily sampling inspection process and proposes some measures to optimize food safety sampling inspection work, wishing to provide reference for food safety supervision and sampling inspection personnel.

Abstract

The combustion of fuel with high sulfur concentrations produces a large number of sulfur oxides (SOx), which have a range of negative effects on human health and life. The preparation of catalysts with excellent performance in the oxidative desulfurization (ODS) process is highly effective for reducing SOx production. In this paper, cross-linked polyvinylimidazole (VE) was successfully created using a simple ontology aggregation method, after which a catalyst of polyvinylimidazolyl heteropolyacid clusters (VE-HPA) was prepared by adding heteropolyacid clusters. Polyvinylimidazolyl-phosphotungstic acid (VE-HPW) showed an outstanding desulfurization performance, and the desulfurization efficiency reached 99.68% in 60 min at 50 °C with H2O2 as an oxidant. Additionally, the catalyst exhibited recyclability nine consecutive times and remained stable, with a removal rate of 98.60%.
