The potential application of 3C–SiC for electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption in harsh environments is significant. Understanding the impact of particle size on the EMW absorption characteristics of 3C–SiC is crucial for guiding material selection. In this study, 3C–SiC samples with varying particle sizes were obtained through high-temperature heat treatment of nano-particles and high-temperature sintering reaction, and the EMW absorption properties were explored. The results reveal that 3C–SiC particles with a medium particle size (D50) of 65 nm exhibit a notable minimum reflection loss value (RLmin) of −68.57 dB at 9.2 GHz with a thickness of 3.83 mm. Moreover, the efficient absorption band (EAB) covers the entire X-band and a portion of the Ku-band. The research suggests that a reduction in particle size enhances dielectric relaxation polarization, thereby improving the EMW absorption performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is concerned with the nonfragile predictive control problem for the networked control system (NCS) with input delay and network-induced time delays (NITDs). First, the transmission strategy governed by redundant channels is introduced to reduce the occurrence of data packet dropout between the sensor and the observer. Moreover, the event-triggered mechanism (ETM) is employed to save the network resources, where the maximum triggered interval is given. Subsequently, a nonfragile networked predictive control scheme (NPCS) is designed to address the input delay and the NITDs. Accordingly, the sufficient criterion ensuring mean-square exponential stability (MSES) is derived by employing the Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability theorem. Both the observer gain matrix (OGM) and the controller gain matrix (CGM) are gained through solving the nonlinear minimization problem with convex constraints. The simultaneous catalytic removal of NOx and soot by La1−xMxMnO3 (M = K, Sr, Pr; x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) perovskites was investigated. The properties of the catalysts were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, BET, SEM, XPS, H2-TPR and soot-TPR. The results showed that K+, Sr2+ and Pr3+ successfully entered the lattice and formed a perovskite structure. The catalyst doped with K+ exhibited the most outstanding performance. The La0.8K0.2MnO3 catalyst showed the best catalytic activity with 39.07% NO conversion and 92.41% N2 selectivity; the soot burning rates reached 10% (Ti) and 50% (Tm) at 365 °C and 420 °C, respectively. More oxygen vacancies and Mn4+ ions appeared in the catalyst with the increase in K+, due to which the ratio of Oads/Olat and Mn4+/Mn3+ changed regularly; this increased the ability of removing NOx and diesel soot particles. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a significant issue in public health, displaying a high occurrence rate and mortality rate. Ferroptosis, a form of programmed cell death (PCD), is characterized by iron accumulation and intensified lipid peroxidation. Recent studies have demonstrated the pivotal significance of ferroptosis in AKI caused by diverse stimuli, including ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI), sepsis and toxins. Autophagy, a multistep process that targets damaged organelles and macromolecules for degradation and recycling, also plays an essential role in AKI. Previous research has demonstrated that autophagy deletion in proximal tubules could aggravate tubular injury and renal function loss, indicating the protective function of autophagy in AKI. Consequently, finding ways to stimulate autophagy has become a crucial therapeutic strategy. The recent discovery of the role of selective autophagy in influencing ferroptosis has identified new therapeutic targets for AKI and has highlighted the importance of understanding the cross-talk between autophagy and ferroptosis. This study aims to provide an overview of the signaling pathways involved in ferroptosis and autophagy, focusing on the mechanisms and functions of selective autophagy and autophagy-dependent ferroptosis. We hope to establish a foundation for future investigations into the interaction between autophagy and ferroptosis in AKI as well as other diseases.

A series of V 2 O 5 -WO 3 /TiO 2 catalysts with different vanadium loading amounts were prepared by an impregnation method and were characterized by XRD, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, DRIFTS, Py-DRIFTS, NH 3 -TPD, H 2 -TPR, etc. The results show that the catalytic activity is related to the ratio of V 4+ /V 5+ . The variation of the V 4+ /V 5+ ratio caused by the different dispersion states of vanadia oxide leads to changes in the surface acidity and redox properties of the catalysts. As the V 4+ /V 5+ ratio reaches the maximum value, the apparent activation energy ( E a ) required to form the transition state on the Brønsted acid sites is the lowest. Artificial regulation of vanadium loading to properly increase V 4+ /V 5+ content may affect the interactions between V, W, O and Ti atoms, which enhances NH 3 -SCR reaction performance., Competing Interests: The authors declare no conflicts of interest., (This journal is © The Royal Society of Chemistry.)
