To explore the internal bearing characteristics and fracture evolution laws of discontinuous jointed rock mass in deep roadways, the −600 m main roadway in Xin 'an Coal Mine was used as the research background. The fracture fractal dimension D was employed to characterize the joint density, and an intermittent jointed roadway model, both without support and with anchor cable support, was modeled using the particle flow software PFC2D. The internal stress, deformation, and fracture characteristics of intermittent jointed surrounding rock in tunnels with different support methods and joint densities were studied from a microscopic perspective. The results indicate that during the bearing process of the bolt anchor support and unsupported roadway discontinuous jointed rock mass model, the main bearing area of both models transferred from the surface rock mass to the deep rock mass. The tensile cracks of the anchor cable support model were reduced by 57.7% compared with the unsupported model, effectively suppressed the tensile failure of the surrounding rock, and the convergence of the surrounding rock was substantially reduced. The density of intermittent joints was negatively correlated with the bearing capacity of the surrounding rock mass of roadways, and the increase of joint density the overall failure of the surrounding rock, and the possibility of roadway destabilization was increased. Importantly, the number and distribution of intermittent joints in the surface surrounding rock were closely related to the rupture characteristics of the roadways. When the load exceeded the ultimate load of the deep surrounding rock, stress fluctuation occurred due to the stress drop caused by its destruction. This fluctuation promoted the development of intermittent joints in the surface surrounding rock, increasing the risk of roadway destabilization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Honeycomb structures provide a new means of controlling and supporting the tunnel envelope. However, traditional honeycomb structures have low strength and poor stability, and are prone to stress concentration and instability, further limiting their application in deep tunnel support projects. In this paper, a new type of segmental cementitious honeycomb structure is investigated, its performance under different loading rates is tested, and its application in deep large deformation tunnel support is discussed. Firstly, the honeycomb model was drawn and the honeycomb skeleton was prepared. Then, the cement suspension technique was optimised. Secondly, the effects of different loading rates on the performance of segmented cement-bonded honeycomb structures were investigated by laboratory experiments. The results show that when the loading rate is 3 mm/min, the structure has the maximum load capacity and the best energy absorption performance. It is worth noting that too fast or too slow loading rate will affect the performance of the structure. Finally, the damage mechanism of the segmented honeycomb structure was further investigated by using an acoustic emission system, and the acoustic emission characteristics showed that the segmented cementitious honeycomb structure firstly went through a relatively stable stage of microcrack development under the action of the loads in all bands, and then a large area of damage was observed in the top layer of the honeycomb skeleton when the peak load was reached, resulting in the collapse of the whole layer of the honeycomb structure, which led to the collapse of the whole layer of the honeycomb skeleton. This led to the collapse of the whole layer of the honeycomb structure and a significant decrease in the bearing capacity, which confirmed the layer-by-layer damage characteristics of segmental cementitious honeycomb structures. In addition, the RA-AF values show that the loading rate has little effect on the crack type, which is almost unchanged with the increase of loading rate. These studies verify the feasibility of using honeycomb structure to support roadway with fast deformation speed and large deformation. Numerous literatures have shown the advantages of Pickering emulsion (PE) for the delivery of bioactive ingredients in the fields of food, medicine, and cosmetics, among others. On this basis, the multi‐loading mode of bioactives (internal phase encapsulation and/or loading at the interface) in small molecular bioactives nanocrystal‐stabilized PE (BNC‐PE) enables them higher loading efficiencies, controlled release, and synergistic or superimposed effects. Therefore, BNC‐PE offers an efficacious delivery system. In this review, we briefly summarize BNC‐PE fabrication and characterization, with a focus on the processes of possible evolution and absorption of differentially applied BNC‐PE when interacting with the body. In addition, methods of monitoring changes and absorption of BNC‐PE in vivo, from the nanomaterial perspective, are also introduced. The purpose of this review is to provide an accessible and comprehensive methodology for the characterization and evaluation of BNC‐PE after formulation and preparation, especially in relation to biological assessment and detailed mechanisms throughout the absorption process of BNC‐PE in vivo.
