Radar can work on different wave bands in different period of time, which result in the Increasing-batch problem based on the existing methods of signal sorting. In order to solve this problem, Slope Discriminance was proposed in this paper. Error analysis of this proposed method shows its availability when the measurement error of frequency of receiver is below 100MHz. Simulations on same and different radiant points was given. The results show that this new method decreases the possibility of Increasing-batch and also it can be a supplement of present methods.

With the combination of pupil division, Wollaston prism angle shear and Savart plate lateral shear interference, a new technology that can aquire the message of imaging, polarization and spectrum simultaneously is presented. The system works at the pushing mode with neither mechanical movable nor electrically tunable device, and four quarters of the single charge-coupled device can get four interferograms of different polarization states (two polarization-difference spectral imagings). The device is discussed in detail, and the relationship between azimuth of the prism principal cross section and the output light intensity is analyzed, and then system parameters are optimized. In the paper, we derive the interference fringe intensity distribution formula, use computer numerical simulation to verify the feasibility and accuracy of this method, and thus provide an important theory basis and the practice instruction for designing a new type of imaging spectrometer and its engineering applications.

The principles of the new static polarization wind imaging interferometer and the light beam splitting of the four-sided pyramid prism were briefly introduced. Both the light ray’s transmitting direction and the transmitted point coordinates in the section of the prism were deduced by the ray tracing method. When the parallel ray had passed through the four-sided pyramid prism, the relation between the incidence angle and the deviation angle was calculated, the relation between the incidence angle and the transmissivity was also calculated. All the above relations were simulated by the computer. According to the parameters of the static polarization wind imaging interferometer, both the angle between the side and the base and the length of the base were determined. This research was very important to the design and manufacture of the static polarization wind imaging interferometer.

A new spaceborne remote sensing principle and method of two-dimensional object polarization measurement, which is based on the novel polarization interference imaging spectrometer (NPIIS) using the field of view compensated Savart polariscope, is presented. Without modification of the optical system of the NPIIS, the Stokes vector, the degree of polarization and polarization direction expressions are derived by measuring the intensity of one pixel on the image plane after three rotations of the polarization interferometer. The method and principle is verified by computer simulation, and the results appear to be well consistent with the theoretical analysis. The research extends the measurement function of the interference imaging spectrometer. Compared with the existing imaging spectrometers which can measure the two-dimensional image information and one-dimensional spectral information, another method to acquire the object information by measuring the polarization state is developed.

Based on the temporally and spatially mixed modulated polarization interference imaging spectrometer (TSMPIIS) developed by us, a novel mode for obtaining interferogram and spectrum is proposed. The interference data arrays acquired with this mode are analyzed, and the method for combining a series of interferograms at different moments is explained in detail. Furthermore, the interferograms of monochromatic light and polychromatic light obtained by TSMPIIS are processed. The satisfactory interferogram and reconstructed spectra show the superiority of this detection mode, such as wide field of view, high detection sensitivity and high throughput, etc.

The method of measuring the intensity and state of polarization of optical radiation using polarization interference imaging spectrometer （PIIS） combines the basic theories of polarization interference imaging spectroscopy and polarization measurement technology. In this way, the PIIS can be used to detect not only the interference characteristics but also the polarization parameters. Based on the study of polarization measurement, this paper compares the effect of the degree of polarization errors for the conventional detection angles of 45°and 60°. The optimization of detection angle is then discussed, which will lead to a better angle choice for polarization measurements that enables the interference imaging spectrometers to be adapted to almost every field in which the spectroscopy has ventured and able to some where field which has not touched before.

Principle of the measurement of the upper atmospheric wind field using a Michelson interferometer with wide field, chromatic compensation and thermal compensation is briefly described. The modulation depth of the selfdeveloped wind imaging interferometer is analyzed and calculated, and the expression of the modulation depth is derived. Computer simulation is adopted, and the dependence of the modulation depth on the angle is analyzed. The field of view of the wind imaging interferometer is 129°when modulation depth is greater than 075, which fully shows the advantages of wide field and high modulation depth. The dependence of the modulation depth on the refractive index of glass is analyzed, and the optimized material is given. The dependence of the modulation depth on temperature is analyzed, and the curve is given. The research has important theoretical significance and practical value both for the research and development of the Michelson Interferometer with wide field, chromatic compensation and thermal compensation and the detection of the upper atmospheric wind field.

The principle of beam splitting of spectrometer based on the combination of two Wollaston prisms and a half-wave plate is presented. The propagation track of light wave in the combination is analysed by wave normal-tracing method at random incidence angle and the formulas of the path difference between the e and o wave normal are deduced. Computer simulations are carried out to explain why the combination can increase the field of view of spectrometer. The results will provide a very important theoretical basis for the study of polarization interference imaging spectrum technology and the development of static large field of view polarization interference imaging spectrometer developed by us.

The beam splitting and polarizing principle of modified Wollaston prism are presented. This paper analyses the propagation track of light wave in modified Wollaston prism by wave-normal-tracing method at random incidence angle and the formula of the path difference between e and o light waves are deduced. Computer simulations are carried out to give the curve of the optical path difference varying with incidence angle, incident azimuth angle, structural angle and wave length. The results will provide a theoretical basis for the study of polarization prisms and the development of polarization splitting apparatus.

The principle of a polarization interference imaging spectrometer based on Wollaston prism is presented. The accurate optical path difference, splitting angle and fringe location plane of single Wollaston prism in four different conditions are calculated by wave-normal tracing method, and the theoretical formulas are introduced. The accurate values and approximate values of the optical path difference, the splitting angle, the fringe location are compared by computer simulation. The results show that the influences of wedge angle, incident angle and incident position on the accurate values and the approximate values are greatly different. The selection range of the wedges angle and the incident angle are deduced according to the accurate value, and the deviation of fringe location plane and its influence on Fourier transform lens are analysed. This study provides a theoretical and practical guidance for the study, design, modulation, experiment and engineering of the polarization interference imaging spectrometers.

The principle of beam splitting of modified Savart polariscope in the static large field of view polarization interference imaging spectrometer(SLPIIS) is described. The reflection and refraction in every uniaxial of modified Savart polariscope are analyzed， with the incident plane coincident or perpendicular to the principle section of the left plate，based on the electromagnetic boundary conditions. Formulas for the transmittance of the modified Savart polariscope are given as functions of wavelength of the incident light，angle and thickness of the half-wave plate，which are analyzed through computer simulation with different half-wave plates. It is proved that the modified Savart polariscope has the advantages of having both large field of view and high flux，and can be used as high performance lateral shearing beam splitter in SLPIIS. This theoretical study will provide guidance for the experimental study of new polarization interference imaging spectrometer.

Glan-Taylor prism is one of the most important polarization components of the new polarization interference imaging spectrometer developed in our laboratory. The principle of beam splitting and imaging of Glan-Taylor prism are presented. This paper deduces the propagation track of light in Glan-Taylor prism by ray-tracing method at random incidence angle and the theoretical expressions of image displacement and chromatic aberration are derived. The results will provide a theoretical basis for the study of new polarization interference imaging spectrum technology and the development of apparatuses.

It is a common method to use the interferential characteristics of light to detect the object in the polarization interference imaging spectrometer system，but the polarized characteristics are usually ignored. In this paper, an advanced way, which combines the basic theories of polarization interference imaging spectroscopy and polarization measurement technology, is studied and used to detect the polarization parameters (e.g. degree of polarization, azimuth angle of polarization), and the error is analyzed, which proves that the system is very stable and precise in theory. Now the polarization interference imaging spectrometer can be used not only as cameras and interferometers but also as polaristrobometers, because the polarized characteristics of the light are made good use of to analyse and distinguish the object in a new way.

With imaging interferometry and Doppler Effect，the information of the upper atmosphere including velocity and temperature can be obtained by measuring four interference intensities of the aurora in the upper atmosphere (80—300km). Theoretical analysis of the measurement error when using four-intensity algorithm in the moving mirror model and divided mirror model is presented respectively. The error of velocity and temperature of the upper atmosphere caused by random phase error is given. By computer simulation，we get the distribution map of velocity error and temperature error in the two models. The result shows that the error of the velocity with the divided mirror model is about half that with the moving mirror model，while the moving mirror model has appreciably higher accuracy for temperature. The research can help us to improve the detection precision of upper atmospheric wind in theory. It has important theoretical significance and practical value both for the research of the detect mode and manufacture of the equipment.

The shearing principle of modified large optical path difference Sagnac interferometer for upper atmospheric wind field measurement is presented. The exact expression of the optical path difference and lateral displacement in the full view field of modified Sagnac interferometer are calculated by analysing the relation between space beeline and its projection and the notion of ray index at random incidence angle. The theoretical and practical guidance are thereby provided for the study and design of the spatially modulated interference imaging spectrometers.

Based on radiometry，electromagnetism and polarization theories and the Fourier transform spectroscopy，an in-depth study is conducted on the SNR of the self-developed ultra-compact static polarization interference imaging spectrometer (USPIIS) theoretically and experimentally. The theoretical equations of its SNR are deduced. Under paraxial approximation，the curve of the SNR changing with incidence angle is given via computer simulation. How the polarizing directions affect the SNR of USPIIS，which is a particular feature of the polarization interference imaging spectrometer，is deeply studied. When modulation depth equals 0.6，0.7，0.8，0.9 and 1.0，the curves of the SNR changing with polarizing directions are given respectively; after which the optimum value is recommended. Under optimum conditions，the changing laws of SNR with the elements of detector are obtained，which turned out the same as the prediction of the theory. The theoretical and experimental results both indicate that the novel imaging spectrometer has the properties of high throughput and high SNR under the condition of high modulation depth，which is suitable for aviation，remote sensing，weak signal testing applications. The work can provide theoretical basis and guidance for the design，development and engineering of polarizer，interferometer and polarization imaging interferometer.

On the basis of researchon the theory and mathe matics of interference data collection of the spatially modulated polarization interference imaging spectrometer designed by us, this paper mainly analyses and compares three different methods of spectrum reconstruction and interferogram processing. Specially, the authors introduce the nonparametric model of Music algorithm which is maturely used in power spectrum estimation into the spectrum reconstruction processing for the first time. This method prodigiously improves the resolution of reproduced spectrum, and provides a better math matic model for the improvement of resolving power in spectrum reproduction.

The Savart polariscope is the key spectroscopic component of the static polarization interference imaging spectrometer (SPIIS) that we have developed. The principle of beam splitting of Savart polariscope is described. This paper mainly studies the reflection and refraction of light incident from one medium to another when incident plane and the principle section of the left plate are coincident or perpendicular, according to electromagnetic boundary conditions. The transmission coefficient of each interface is deduced, and the total transmittance is given as a function of angle and wavelength of the incident light which is analyzed through computer simulation. It is proved in theory and by experiment that the Savart polariscope has the advantages of both high flux and large field of view, and can be used as high performance lateral shearing beam splitter in static interferometer and SPIIS. This will provide the theoretical basis for the development of new polarization interference imaging spectral systems.

The attempt to reconstruct high resolution spectrum using the interferogram of the Fabry-Perot interferometer has been achieved theoretically by solving an integral equation. But ordinarily, the solution of the equation is unstable. It is necessary to keep the antinoise ability at a level of 10-4 At present, it is very difficult to manufacture such a device, which attains this level. It is demonstrated by using computer simulation experiments that solving of the equation will become rather stable under certain conditions and the antinoise ability can be enhanced to 10-2. This result makes it possible to develop a satisfactory device.
