There are a multitude of factors influencing the learning outcomes of students, with all previous studies basing their conclusions upon predetermined variables according to different theories and exploring the relevance between them. In this study, two important antecedents--the transfer of teachers' knowledge and student orientation--are put forward based on the knowledge conversion theory and marketing concepts to explore the conspicuousness between various factors within the structural model. This study uses students from colleges in Taiwan as its research samples. Purposive sampling is adopted to acquire the samples required for statistics. A total of 801 participants are involved in this study. The results indicate that knowledge transfer at the teacher level plays a significant role in students' absorptive capacity and learning outcomes, that student orientation at college levels has a great influence on students' absorptive capacity, and that the prior knowledge of students has a positive moderating effect on the influence of teachers' knowledge transfer on students' absorptive capacities. Based on these results, the study provides suggestions for relevant theoretical and practical implications to indicate the contributions of this research.

Government intervention has become an important measure to restrain groundwater overexploitation. This paper analyzes the effect of three types of government intervention measures, namely, guidance, incentive and constraint, on farmers' groundwater utilization behavior, from the perspective of scale-heterogeneity, using general quantile regression model, by survey data of 1122 households in well irrigation area of north China. The results showed that: (1) the incentive and guiding measures have negative effects on farmers' groundwater usage, while the effect of restrictive measures is not obvious. The guided policy is superior to the incentive measure as to governance effect. (2) With the increase of farmers' land scale, the influence of incentive measures shows a trend of weakening, and the effect of guided measures on groundwater demand reduction of farmers is stronger. When it comes to the different point of water consumption, when at the point level of 0.25, the incentive measures have the most obvious inhibitory effect. With the increase of water consumption of farmers, the guided measures begin to play a core role. The effect of restrictive measures is not obvious with the increase of water consumption. (3) In addition, farmers' irrigation water consumption also is affected by gender, cognition of water resources shortage, ecological cognitive level, acquisition ability of disaster information, village rain conditions, the degree of water rights market development, feelings of water fee increase, irrigated disputes in the village, collective economic level of village. Skin contact with cold objects can induce the perception of wetness, known as the wetness illusion, even in the absence of actual moisture. However, the differences between wetness perceived from moisture and cooled-dry soft materials and how the material parameters affect the wetness illusion from cooled-dry soft materials remain unclear. This study recruited 12 women and 12 men to touch paired moisture and dry fabrics to compare the prescription and intensity of wetness, suggesting that the wetness illusion focused more on roughness and stickiness while the wetness of moisture fabrics sensed more on coldness. Another 12 women touched cooled-dry materials with different temperatures (10°C and 15°C), thicknesses (0.75/0.73 and 1.99/1.96 mm), and dynamic friction coefficients (mean coefficient of friction) (0.17 and 1.88), rating on wetness dissimilarity and intensity of wetness, coldness, softness, and roughness. Data were illustrated in a two-dimensional space by multidimensional scaling, in which dimension 1 represented the haptic perception in wetness, most related to the mean coefficient of friction, and dimension 2 represented the coldness perception in wetness, most related to temperature. Overall, the mean coefficient of friction and the temperature of the material had a strong influence on the wetness illusion, while the thickness had less impact. This study improves the understanding of wetness illusion and sheds light on the reproduction of wetness perception in multisensory augmented virtual reality, such as immersive gaming and virtual dress fitting. Background: The study aimed to examine predicted differences of 2 different behavior change patterns on physical fitness (PF). Methods: Participants were 241 students (51% girls) aged 11–14 years from China. Light physical activity, moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA), and sedentary behavior (SB) were objectively measured. Sleep was obtained by subtracting from awake time. According to Chinese National student PF standards, 5 components of PF, including body mass index, cardiorespiratory fitness, speed, muscular explosive power and strength endurance, and flexibility, were assessed. The effects of different time reallocations between 24-hour movement behaviors on PF were estimated based on adjusted compositional multiple linear regression models with isometric log ratios. Results: Compared with MVPA substituting for the remaining behaviors, MVPA replacing SB or light physical activity produced more favorable changes on the comprehensive PF score, cardiorespiratory fitness, explosive power, and speed. MVPA replacing 30 minutes of SB was associated with favorable changes in PF (+1.9 [0.53, 3.18] points), 50-m run (−0.17 [−0.31, −0.04] s), long-distance running (−5.54 s [for girls]/7.25 s [for boys]), and long jump (+0.05 [0.01, 0.09] m). When sleep replaced SB, PF improved. Conclusions: MVPA substituting SB or light physical activity is a strategy with a greater improvement in PF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
