11. Development and validation of a model for predicting who can benefit from multiple TACE in HCC patients.

Abstract

This study was to develop and validate a model for predicting who can benefit from multiple transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. 228 and 98 patients were included in the development and validation sets, respectively. The primary clinical endpoint was benefiting from consecutive multiple TACE treatments. Logistic regression analysis was used to screen the independent risk factors for the clinical endpoint. The independent risk factors were then used to construct the predictive model. The area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, calibration curves, and clinical decision curves were used to evaluate the predictive ability of the model. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that complete envelope, hepatic lopes, tumor number, and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) were independent risk factors for benefiting from multiple TACE in HCC patients. The area under the curve (AUC) of the model constructed by using independent risk factors in the development and validation sets was 0.843 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.784–0.902) and 0.828 (95%CI: 0.739–0.916), respectively. The calibration curves and clinical decision curves showed that the model had good predictive ability. Abstract

This paper firstly describes the setting of switchable balise group for large size turnouts and the method of sending telegrams in the high-speed railways. Then an analysis is conducted on the reasons for train speed reduction when passing through large turnouts in special scenarios such as inconsistent telegram data, insufficient distance of approaching sections and short sections. Finally, it summarizes several types of problems frequently encountered in engineering design and data compilation, and proposes the corresponding solutions, which have certain guiding significance for improving the operational efficiency of high-speed railways. Abstract

Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the pancreas (SCP) is a rare and aggressive subtype of undifferentiated pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, with a generally poor prognosis and only sporadic cases reported worldwide. Histologically, the most notable feature of SCP is the presence of abundant of mesenchymatoid spindle tumor cells in the tumor, which lack glandular differentiation. Immunohistochemically, SCP is characterized by the expression of both mesenchymal and epithelial markers. With only a few reported cases, there is limited knowledge about its molecular and clinicopathological characteristics. Therefore, the present study performed a literature search to identify all relevant published studies. The present review provides an overview of the histogenesis, diagnosis, genetic features, prognosis and treatment of SCP, specifically focusing on the molecular alterations. Abstract

In order to discuss the load capacity and displacement of masonry constructed with recycled concrete and self-insulation blocks, one type of 10.6 MPa compressive strength block and three kinds of mortar with M15, M10, and M5 compressive strengths are selected. The constitutive model and corresponding parameters selection of different materials in the ABAQUS numerical simulation are analyzed, and the numerical simulation analysis and experimental tests of the load capacity and displacement of masonry constructed with mortars of different strengths are carried out. The results show that masonry compression failure is controlled by the mortar or block that has the lower compressive strength. The displacement of masonry increases with the mortar compressive strength increase, and the higher mortar compressive strength is beneficial for improving the load capacity and displacement of masonry. Reasonable selection of the constitutive model and parameters will help to obtain reasonable results for the ABAQUS numerical simulation. Construction quality and loading method will affect the load capacity and displacement of the masonry. The above conclusion can provide reference for the engineering application of recycled concrete and self-insulation blocks.

Abstract

High-quality chabazite (CHA) zeolite membranes were synthesized from organotemplate-free aluminosilicate gel via epitaxial growth using RHO-type seed layer. Both zeolite RHO seeds (Si/Al = 2.4) and the synthetic gel containing cesium species led to the formation of the CHA zeolite with a high Si/Al ratio of 3.0 and a short synthesis time of 12 h. The effects of seed particles and crystallization time on membrane formation, pervaporation performance, and acid resistance were also investigated. The obtained CHA@RHO membrane prepared using commercial tubular mullite support showed a high flux of 2.3 kg m−2 h−1 and a good separation factor of 3500 for 10/90 wt% water/ethanol mixture at 348 K, which are comparable to those of homogeneous CHA membranes crystallized in organotemplate-free systems from previous reports. Moreover, these membranes were stable for the dehydration of acidic aqueous ethanol solution (with a pH value of 3.0) at 348 K for 8 d.
