Objective To establish a model of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) infection in mice with open fractures after the femur with intramedullary nailing and to explore the immunoprotective effects of recombinant PcrV-OprI. Methods PcrV-OprI protein was expressed in E. coli, and then the target protein was purified by affinity chromatography and hydrophobic interaction chromatography. The C57BL/6J mice were immunized with PcrV-OprI protein on Day 0, 14 and 21. After that, the titers of specific IgGs and their subtypes were determined by ELISA. In 14 d after the final vaccination, open femur fractures and intramedullary nailing were performed in mice, which was followed by a challenge with PAO1 strain. The protection of PcrV-OprI was assessed with bacterial colonization, body weight, histology, and X-ray imaging. A cadmium coordination polymer, [Cd(1,4-NDC)(L)]n (1), has been hydrothermally synthesized by using 1-(1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)naphthalen-2-ol (L) and 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (1,4-H2NDC). The complex 1 was characterized by diffraction and elemental analyses. In complex 1, the cadmium ion is distorted octahedral coordinated linking the deprotonated 1,4-NDC anion to form a two-dimensional (2D) layer, and the 2D layer are associated into 3D supramolecular structure via the strong π–π stacking interactions from the conjugated L ligands. In addition, thermogravimetry, powder X-ray diffraction, and the solid-state photoluminescent properties of complex 1 were also studied.

BACKGROUND: The present study aimed to investigate the effects of tremella polysaccharides on the gel properties and antioxidant activity of yak skin gelatin with a view to improving the quality of collagen jellies. The preparation of composite gels were performed by yak skin gelatin (66.7 mg mL−1) and tremella polysaccharides with different concentrations (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 mg mL−1), and finally the collagen jelly was prepared by composite gel (yak skin gelatin: 66.7 mg mL−1; tremella polysaccharides:6 mg mL−1) with the best performance. RESULTS: Tremella polysaccharides not only improved the hardness, springiness, gel strength, water holding capacity and melting temperature of yak skin gelatin, but also enhanced the composite gel's scavenging activity against ABTS radicals, DPPH radicals, O2 and OH radicals. The filling of tremella polysaccharides into the gelatin network increased the number of crosslinking sites inside the gel, which resulted in the gel network structure becoming dense and orderly. The gel particles became finer and more uniform, and the thermal stability was improved. Furthermore, the sensory score of commercially available gelatin jelly decreased more rapidly during storage compared to the composite gel jelly. CONCLUSION: The gel properties and antioxidant activity of yak skin gelatin were improved by adding tremella polysaccharides, and then the quality and storage properties of the jelly were improved, which also provided technical reference for the development of functional gel food. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. The coupling of magnetic, thermal and structural force fields exists in the design, manufacture and operation of the magnetic core of transformer and motor, which makes the experimental data obtained from the standard magnetic properties measurement inconsistent with the actual problem. In order to obtain the magnetic properties measurement data of soft magnetic materials such as electrical steel sheet under multiple physical factors, the magnetic circuit structure was improved on the basis of the standard single sheet tester. At the same time, anti-bending clips made of polyether ether ketone were installed in order to prevent the bending deformation of the sample sheet during the application of tensile stress which would lead to uneven force. Then0 this basic structure of the tester under the coupling of temperature and stress is designed. In order to further improve the excitation performance of the tester and the magnetization uniformity of the sample, combined with COMSOL and MATLAB co-simulation, adaptive genetic algorithm was used to optimize the size of the yoke and excitation coil, thereby ensuring the uniformity of the magnetic field distribution in the measurement area of the sample. Finally, by combining simulation and specific experiments, the loss measurement results of a single sheet tester under different ambient temperatures and different stresses are studied, which proves that the tester is feasible and accurate, and the variation law of complex magnetic characteristics of electrical steel sheets under multiple physical fields is summarized. Achieving high-efficiency sorting of microfluidics (such as cells, particles, droplets, etc.) has great significance in the fields of biology, chemistry, medical treatment, material synthesis, and drug development. This paper introduces the microfluidics sorting methods in recent years. The current research status and progress can be divided into the active sorting system and passive sorting system according to whether there is an external field. They can control the microfluidics by promoting more selective separation, so as to obtain higher resolution and selection rate. In this paper, the above methods are analyzed and discussed, and the future microfluidic sorting is prospected.
