Based on the strong pressure of the returning airway in 31102 working face of Nalinhe No.2 well, the theoretical analysis and on-site measurement are used to study the mechanism of strong mine pressure in the fully mechanized mining face of the thick sandstone layer. The research shows that when the 31102 working face enters the double working face squares, the overburden structure of the stope is the standard load three zones structure; based on the double-sided stratum structure of 31102 working face, the mechanical model of the strike bearing pressure is established and the double is obtained. It is concluded that the working face of stage 31102 in double squares is 42.69 m to 215.67 m ahead to reach the stress condition of rock burst; the medium impact hazard range is 57.47 m to 137.02 m, the high stress transmitted by the range “DLZ” in the double squares phase 31102 along the empty roadway is the main reason for the strong occurrence of mine pressure. The strong control mechanism of the 31102 return airway is: to determine the reasonable pressure relief parameters, to release the coal volumetric energy through the large diameter borehole, and minimize the damage to the surrounding rock structure to ensure that the surrounding rock of the roadway is in “low stress-low disturbance” status.

Objective: To determine the incidence of infection with HPV and the distribution of HPV genotypes on patients with Condyloma acuminatum. Methods: Twenty-three different HPV types were detected by PCR and reverse dot blot (RDB) hybridization over all 6 508 samples of vulva and cervix uteri in patients with condyloma acuminatum. Including 18 types were high-risk (HR)-HPV (16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68, 73, 83 and MM4), and 5 types were low-risk (LR)-HPV (6, 11, 42, 43 and 44). Results: Among 6 508 cases, there were 3 288 cases with HPV infection and the incidence rate was 50.52%. The positive HPV patients overlap all 23 genotypes detected. There were 2 038 cases infected with a single HPV type and 1 250 cases infected with multiple HPV types. The constituent ratios in positive cases were 61.98% and 38.02%, respectively. There were 1 453 cases only with LR-HPV types infection, 945 cases only with HR-HPV types and 890 cases both with LR-HPV and HR-HPV infection, and the constituent ratios were 44.19%, 28.74% and 27.07%. There were 4 843 times positive HPV infection, including HR-HPV 2 361 times and LR-HPV 2 482 times. The common HR-HPV genotypes were 16, 52, 58, 56, 18, 66 and 33, and the incidence ratios were 6.31%, 5.06%, 4.04%, 2.60%, 2.41%, 2.40% and 2.28%. And the common LR-HPV genotypes were 6, 11 and 43, and the incidence ratios were 16.98%,11.09% and 6.75%, respectively. Overlap 23 types, the most common genotypes were HPV6 and HPV11, the incidence rates were higher than others (P<0.05). Conclusion: HPV infection, especially with HR-HPV genotypes infect genital tract, which caused Condyloma acuminatum and cervical lesions, or cervical cancer. The detection of HPV genotypes was very important to prevent, diagnose early and therapy for cervical lesions or cervical cancer. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Objective: To determine the incidence of Thalassemia, the distribution of Thalassemic genotype and clinical phenotype. Methods: Reverse dot blot (RDB) hybridization was used to detect the common three α-globin gene deletions(−SEA, -α3.7 and -α4.2) by Gap-PCR over all 8 118 cases and to detect 17 β-globin gene 17 mutations (CD41-42, IVS- II −654, CD17, −28, βE, CD71−72, CD27−28, −29, CD43, CD14−15, IVS-I−1, IVS-I−5, CAP, −31, Int, −32, −30) among 7 934 cases. Patients were grouped according to clinical phenotype such as anemia symptom, screening test of thalassemia and family carrier history. Results: Among 8 118 cases, there were 2 519 cases with α-globin gene deletions over 9 kinds genotypes, and the incidence of α-thal was 31.03%. The genotypes of –SEA/αα, -α3.7/αα, -α4.2/αα, -α3.7/–SEA and -α4.2/–SEA were common and constituent ratios were 77.05%, 11.95%, 4.01%,3.65% and 2.10%, respectively, and altogether was 98.76%. Over all 7 934 cases, there were 1 691 cases with β-globin gene mutation over 13 kinds genotypes, and the incidence of β-thal was 21.31%, The mutation of CD41–42, IVS-II -654, CD17 and −28 were common, and constituent ratios were 34.24%, 29.80%, 16.03% and 10.70%, respectively, and altogether was 90.77%. Number of patients with screening test positive was the largest, and the incidence of the group with three indications was the highest. The abnormal percentage in group both with anemia symptom and screening test positive was the highest. Conclusion: There was a high thalassemia carrier rate among patients with clinical indications in our study. The main indication for diagnosis of thalassemia was both with anemia symptoms and screening test positive. The characteristics of thalamessia genotype in our study were consistent with that in southern China. It was important for population, especially reproductive population of high frequency area region to screening and diagnosing thalassemia. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

The compound CuL(N3)(H2O) where L = 1,15-diaza-3,4:8,9-dibenzo-5,8-trioxacyclopentadecane-N-acetatic acid has been synthesized and characterized. X-ray crystallography reveals that copper(II) is five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal environment. The complex is a monoclinic system, a = 8.523(3) Å, b = 9.844(4) Å c = 25.895(9) Å, β = 97.69(3)°, V = 2153.4(3) Å3, Z = 4, λ(MoKα) = 0.71073, Rw = 0.0757 for 3081 observed reflections [I > 2σ(I)]. The copper atom is surrounded by two nitrogen atoms of the macrocycle, one oxygen atom from the carboxyl group in the ligand, one nitrogen atom from the azide group and one oxygen atom of coordinated water in a distorted square-pyramidal arrangement. The stability constant (5.8 × 106) of the complex, whose compostion is in the 1:1 metal:ligand molar ratio, was measured by electronic spectra in dimethyl formamide (DMF) as solvent. The EPR spectrum of the complex shows g⊥ = 2.0373 and g∂ = 2.250. The results comfirm that the structure of the complex is a distorted square pyramid. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: This study was to develop a cGMP grade of [(18)F]fluoropropoxytryptophan ((18)F-FTP) to assess tryptophan transporters using an automated synthesizer., Methods: Tosylpropoxytryptophan (Ts-TP) was reacted with K(18)F/kryptofix complex. After column purification, solvent evaporation, and hydrolysis, the identity and purity of the product were validated by radio-TLC (1M-ammonium acetate : methanol = 4 : 1) and HPLC (C-18 column, methanol : water = 7 : 3) analyses. In vitro cellular uptake of (18)F-FTP and (18)F-FDG was performed in human prostate cancer cells. PET imaging studies were performed with (18)F-FTP and (18)F-FDG in prostate and small cell lung tumor-bearing mice (3.7 MBq/mouse, iv)., Results: Radio-TLC and HPLC analyses of (18)F-FTP showed that the Rf and Rt values were 0.9 and 9 min, respectively. Radiochemical purity was >99%. The radiochemical yield was 37.7% (EOS 90 min, decay corrected). Cellular uptake of (18)F-FTP and (18)F-FDG showed enhanced uptake as a function of incubation time. PET imaging studies showed that (18)F-FTP had less tumor uptake than (18)F-FDG in prostate cancer model. However, (18)F-FTP had more uptake than (18)F-FDG in small cell lung cancer model., Conclusion: (18)F-FTP could be synthesized with high radiochemical yield. Assessment of upregulated transporters activity by (18)F-FTP may provide potential applications in differential diagnosis and prediction of early treatment response.

We have developed ethylenedicysteine-glucosamine (ECG) as an alternative to (18)F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose ((18)F-FDG) for cancer imaging. ECG localizes in the nuclear components of cells via the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway. This study was to evaluate the feasibility of imaging mesothelioma with (99m)Tc-ECG and (68)Ga-ECG. ECG was synthesized from thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid and 1,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-2-amino-D-glucopyranose, followed by reduction in sodium and liquid ammonia to yield ECG (52%). ECG was chelated with (99m)Tc/tin (II) and (68)Ga/(69)Ga chloride for in vitro and in vivo studies in mesothelioma. The highest tumor uptake of (99m)Tc-ECG is 0.47 at 30 min post injection, and declined to 0.08 at 240 min post injection. Tumor uptake (%ID/g), tumor/lung, tumor/blood, and tumor/muscle count density ratios for (99m)Tc-ECG (30-240 min) were 0.47 ± 0.06 to 0.08 ± 0.01; 0.71 ± 0.07 to 0.85 ± 0.04; 0.47 ± 0.03 to 0.51 ± 0.01, and 3.49 ± 0.24 to 5.06 ± 0.25; for (68)Ga-ECG (15-60 min) were 0.70 ± 0.06 to 0.92 ± 0.08; 0.64 ± 0.05 to 1.15 ± 0.08; 0.42 ± 0.03 to 0.67 ± 0.07, and 3.84 ± 0.52 to 7.00 ± 1.42; for (18)F-FDG (30-180 min) were 1.86 ± 0.22 to 1.38 ± 0.35; 3.18 ± 0.44 to 2.92 ± 0.34, 4.19 ± 0.44 to 19.41 ± 2.05 and 5.75 ± 2.55 to 3.33 ± 0.65, respectively. Tumor could be clearly visualized with (99m)Tc-ECG and (68)Ga-ECG in mesothelioma-bearing rats. (99m)Tc-ECG and (68)Ga-ECG showed increased uptake in mesothelioma, suggesting they may be useful in diagnosing mesothelioma and also monitoring therapeutic response.

Objective: To study the morphology of Y chromosome and microdeletion of the correlated specific azoospermia factor(AZF) region on Y chromosome in cases of azoospermia and to identify the genetic diagnosis made for male infertility patients., Methods: Peripheral blood samples were taken from two patients with azoospermia, and then were examined by use of G banding, C banding cytogenetic analysis and multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) microdeletion analysis., Results: The karyotypes of the two cases were 45, X, -Y, -22, +der(Y)t(Y;22)(q11.2;q11.2) and 46, XY, del(Y)(q11.2) respectively. In 12 sequence-tagged sites(STS) of AZFa, AZFb, AZFd, AZFc, only one was detected in the first case and two were detected in the other case., Conclusion: The cytogenetic analysis and the detection of AZF microdeletion on Y chromosome are essential to the final genetic diagnosis to be made for male infertility patients.
