Abstract

Given two graphs $G_{1}$ of order $n_{1}$ and $G_{2}$, the neighborhood corona of $G_{1}$ and $G_{2}$, denoted by $G_{1}\bigstar G_{2}$, is the graph obtained by taking one copy of $G_{1}$ and taking $n_{1}$ copies of $G_{2}$, in the meanwhile, linking all the neighbors of the $i$-th vertex of $G_{1}$ with all vertices of the $i$-th copy of $G_{2}$. In our work, we give some conditions that $G_{1}\bigstar G_{2}$ is not periodic. Furthermore, we demonstrate some sufficient conditions for $G_{1}\bigstar G_{2}$ having no perfect state transfer. Some examples are provided to explain our results. In addition, for the reason that the graph admitting perfect state transfer is rare, we also consider pretty good state transfer on neighborhood corona of two graphs. Abstract

We study the existence of quantum state transfer in $\mathcal{Q}$-graphs in this paper. The $\mathcal{Q}$-graph of a graph $G$, denoted by $\mathcal{Q}(G)$, is the graph derived from $G$ by plugging a new vertex to each edge of $G$ and joining two new vertices which lie on adjacent edges of $G$ by an edge. We show that, if all eigenvalues of a regular graph $G$ are integers, then its $\mathcal{Q}$-graph $\mathcal{Q}(G)$ has no perfect state transfer. In contrast, we also prove that the $\mathcal{Q}$-graph of a regular graph has pretty good state transfer under some mild conditions. Finally, applying the obtained results, we also exhibit many new families of $\mathcal{Q}$-graphs having no perfect state transfer, but admitting pretty good state transfer., Comment: 17 pages. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:2108.01325

Abstract

27. Effects of mulberry leaves and other compound powders on growth performance, digestive enzyme activity, gut microbiota, and serum immune indexes of Lingshan Ma chickens.

Abstract

The aim of the experiment was to investigate the effects of mulberry leaves and other compound powders on the growth performance, digestive enzyme activity, intestinal flora, and serum immune indexes of Lingshan Ma chickens. A total of 200 healthy 56-day-old Lingshan Ma chickens with similar body weight were randomly divided into four groups with five replicates per group and 10 chickens per replicate. The chickens in the control group were fed a basal diet, and the chickens in the group 1, group 2, and group 3 were fed a basal diet supplemented with 2.0%, 1.0%, and 0.5% mulberry leaves and other compound powders, respectively. The experiment lasted for 42 days. The results showed that compared with the control group, the average daily gain in the group 2 increased by 12.65% (P<0.05), and the feed to gain ratio significantly decreased (P<0.05). The number and diarrhea rate of Escherichia coli and Salmonella in the experimental groups significantly decreased (P<0.05), the activity of duodenal trypsin, amylase, lipase, and cecal cellulase significantly increased (P<0.05), and the serum IgG content increased by 40.69%, 49.88%, and 25.72%, respectively (P<0.05). The concentrations of serum TP, ALB, and GLB significantly increased (P<0.05), and the A/G significantly decreased (P<0.05). The study indicates that mulberry leaves and other compound powders can increase the growth performance and digestive enzyme activity, decrease the diarrhea rate, improve the serum biochemical indexes and immune function of Lingshan Ma chickens, and the appropriate amount is 1.0%. Abstract

The dorsal vertebrae of Xinjiangtitan shanshanesis (SSV12001) from the Late Jurassic Qigu Formation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, are redescribed based on the further exposure and preparation of the holotype. As a mamenchisaurid sauropod dinosaur, Xinjiangtitan shanshanesis displays a unique combination of autapomorphic and plesiomorphic features, such as the presences of both lateral spinopostzygapophyseal laminae (L.SPOL) and medial spinopostzygapophyseal lamina (M.SPOL) in dorsal vertebrae and a shallow intralaminar fossa (SPOL-F) between the L.SPOL and M.SPOL; anterior spinodiapophyseal laminae (A.SPDL), posterior spinodiapophyseal laminae (P.SPDL) and middle spinodiapophyseal lamina (M.SPDL) in dorsals 3–5; bifurcated anterior and middle dorsal neural spines with the median tubercle and the triangular lateral processes. Phylogenetic analysis and morphological comparison show that Xinjiangtitan shanshanesis probably shares a close relationship with Hudiesaurus and Mamenchisaurus and provide new information for future taxonomic revision of the mamenchisaurids. 44. Optimization of Early Antimicrobial Strategies for Lung Transplant Recipients Based on Metagenomic Next-Generation Sequencing

Abstract

The management of perioperative antibiotic options after lung transplantation varies widely around the world, but there is a common trend to limit antibiotic use duration. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) has become a hot spot in clinical pathogen detection due to its precise, rapid, and wide detection spectrum of pathogens. Thus, we defined a new antibiotic regimen adjustment strategy in the very early stage (within 7 days) after lung transplantation mainly depending on mNGS reports combined with clinical conditions to reduce the use of antibiotics. To verify the clinical effect of the strategy, we carried out this research. Thirty patients who underwent lung transplantation were finally included, whose information including etiology, antibiotic adjustment, and the effect of our strategy was recorded. Lung transplant recipients in this study were prescribed with initial antibiotic regimen immediately after surgery; their antibiotic regimens were adjusted according to the strategy. According to our study, the entire effectiveness of the strategy was 90.0% (27/30). Besides, a total of 86 samples containing donor lung tissue, recipient lung tissue, and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were obtained in this study; they were all sent to mNGS test, while BALF was also sent to pathogen culture. Their results showed that the positive rate of BALF samples was higher (86.67%) than that of donor’s lung tissue (20.0%) or recipient’s lung tissue (13.33%) by mNGS test, indicating BALF samples are more valuable than other clinical samples from early postoperative period to guide the early adjustment of antibiotics after lung transplantation. It is effective for mNGS combined with traditional methods and clinical situations to optimize antibiotic regimens in lung transplantation recipients within 7 days after surgery.

Abstract

Our previous studies found that Homer 1a, a scaffolding protein localized at the post-synaptic density (PSD) of glutamatergic excitatory synapses, is significantly down-regulated in the brain of spontaneous hypertensive rats (SHR), an animal model of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Furthermore, a first-line treatment drug for ADHD, methylphenidate, can up-regulate the expression of Homer 1a. To investigate the possible role of Homer 1a in the etiology and pathogenesis of ADHD, a lentiviral vector containing miRNA specific for Homer 1a was constructed in this study. Intracerebroventricular injection of this vector into the brain of Sprague Dawley (SD) rats significantly decreased Homer 1a mRNA and protein expression levels. Compared to their negative controls, these rats displayed a range of abnormal behaviors, including increased locomotor activity and non-selective attention and impaired learning ability. Our results indicated that Homer 1a down-regulation results in deficits in control over behavioral output and learning similar to ADHD.
