Within angle‐resolved polarized Raman spectroscopy (ARPRS) experiments, ensuring accurate configurations is crucial for obtaining reliable results, especially when dealing with anisotropic materials like CrOCl with anisotropic crystal structure and phonon properties. However, comprehensive understanding of phase‐dependent ARPRS and the calibration of phase angle on anisotropic phonon modes from a crystallographic perspective are still lacking. Herein, detailed investigation on phase‐dependent ARPRS and looked into the anisotropic photo‐phonon interaction in CrOCl through in situ ARPRS is conducted. The Raman tensors and crystal orientation are acquired under two typical configurations. Phase‐dependent ARPRS are thoroughly analyzed for the calibration of analyzer deviation. The anomalous anisotropic response in phase‐dependent ARPRS is closely related to the intrinsic linear dichroism (LD) effect in CrOCl, which is further confirmed by angle‐resolved polarization absorption. Moreover, the strong localized rules for various parallel energy bands of CrOCl have generated anomalous LD conversion effect near 470 nm, which expands the potential application of CrOCl in polarization‐wavelength selected devices. This findings can offer in‐depth comprehension on the anisotropic phonon physics of CrOCl and a feasible approach to utilize phase‐dependent ARPRS for probing the undiscovered abundant photo‐induced effects in low‐symmetry 2D materials. Spectral–polarization imaging technology plays a crucial role in remote sensing detection, enhancing target identification and tracking capabilities by capturing both spectral and polarization information reflected from object surfaces. However, the acquisition of multi-dimensional data often leads to extensive datasets that necessitate comprehensive analysis, thereby impeding the convenience and efficiency of remote sensing detection. To address this challenge, we propose a fusion algorithm based on spectral–polarization characteristics, incorporating principal component analysis (PCA) and energy weighting. This algorithm effectively consolidates multi-dimensional features within the scene into a single image, enhancing object details and enriching edge features. The robustness and universality of our proposed algorithm are demonstrated through experimentally obtained datasets and verified with publicly available datasets. Additionally, to meet the requirements of remote sensing tracking, we meticulously designed a pseudo-color mapping scheme consistent with human vision. This scheme maps polarization degree to color saturation, polarization angle to hue, and the fused image to intensity, resulting in a visual display aligned with human visual perception. We also discuss the application of this technique in processing data generated by the Channel-modulated static birefringent Fourier transform imaging spectropolarimeter (CSBFTIS). Experimental results demonstrate a significant enhancement in the information entropy and average gradient of the fused image compared to the optimal image before fusion, achieving maximum increases of 88% and 94%, respectively. Violet phosphorus (VP), a novel two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterial, boasts structural anisotropy, a tunable optical bandgap, and superior thermal stability compared with its allotropes. Its multifunctionality has sparked widespread interest in the community. Yet, the VP's air susceptibility impedes both probing its intrinsic features and device integration, thus making it of urgent significance to unveil the degradation mechanism. Herein, we conduct a comprehensive study of photoactivated degradation effects on VP. A nitrogen annealing method is presented for the effective elimination of surface adsorbates from VP, as evidenced by a giant surface-roughness improvement from 65.639 nm to 7.09 nm, enabling direct observation of the intrinsic morphology changes induced by photodegradation. Laser illumination demonstrates a significant thickness-thinning effect on VP, manifested in the remarkable morphological changes and the 73% quenching of PL intensity within 160 s, implying its great potential for the efficient selected-area etching of VP at high resolution. Furthermore, van der Waals passivation of VP using 2D hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) was achieved. The hBN-passivated channel exhibited improved surface roughness (0.512 nm), reduced photocurrent hysteresis, and lower responsivity (0.11 A/W @ 450 nm; 2 μW), effectively excluding adsorbate-induced electrical and optoelectrical effects while disabling photodegradation. Based on our experimental results, we conclude that three possible factors contribute to the photodegradation of VP: illumination with photon energy higher than the bandgap, adsorbed H2O, and adsorbed O2. This paper presents a modified Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) model based on the Cauchy–Lorentz distribution that accurately characterizes the reflected energy distribution of typical materials, such as metals and coatings in hemispherical space. The proposed model overcomes the problem of large errors in classical models when detecting angles far away from the specular reflection angle by dividing the reflected light into specular reflection, directional diffuse reflection, and ideal diffuse reflection components. The newly added directional diffuse reflection component is represented by the Cauchy–Lorentz distribution, and its parameters are directly obtained from experimental measurement curves without distribution fitting. Surface morphology and model parameters are determined through measurements, and the comparison between simulation and actual measurement results shows that the modified BRDF model is in excellent agreement with the measured data. The proposed model not only achieves higher accuracy and universality, but it also represents a significant advancement in the field of BRDF modeling research. Its contributions have profound implications for advancing the state of the art in BRDF modeling, as well as having a broader impact on computer graphics and computer vision domains. Herein, we proposed a simple non-lithographic way to fabricate hierarchical Al nanopit arrays performed as deep ultraviolet (DUV, 200–300 nm) refractive index sensing. Only by adjusting the Al deposition thickness on the Al nanopit array, the hierarchical Al nanopit arrays with tunable plasmonic properties in the DUV region were obtained. The prepared hierarchical Al nanopit arrays are of very good time stability and its RI sensitivity and concentration detection limit of adenine ethanol solution reach 311 nm/RIU and 5 × 10 − 6 M , respectively, as the Al deposition thickness is 60 nm. Furthermore, the electric field distribution simulation results show that high RI sensing characteristic are mainly attributed to the local surface plasmon resonance. Driven by the unique linear dichroism feature of anisotropic two‐dimensional (2D) materials, much attempt has been made to introduce artificial anisotropy into isotropic 2D materials to deliver polarization‐sensitive performance. However, those methods have not been widely promoted because of technical limitations. This paper reports on the successful modulation to the structural symmetry of WSe2 through van der Waals (vdW) interlayer coupling. Correspondingly, both the polarized Raman and photoluminescence (PL) spectra of WSe2 in heterostructure exhibit periodic variation tendency. Similarly, direction‐sensitive electronic transport has also been observed in WSe2/CrOCl heterostructure, and the conductance along armchair direction is ≈1.5 times of that along zigzag direction. As a functional illustration to the interlayer coupling induced linear dichroism, angle‐dependent photodetection is conducted to WSe2/CrOCl device. With light irradiation at 532 nm, the device photocurrent along armchair direction is 1.27 times higher than that along zigzag direction. The abnormal linear dichroism of WSe2 in the study clearly proves that few‐layer WSe2 on CrOCl flake has been entitled with artificial anisotropy. The interlayer coupling method is feasible and practical in 2D‐material range, offering the possibility to develop polarization‐dependent electronic, pyroelectric, and photoelectric devices from isotropic 2D materials. 2D materials with low‐symmetry exhibit anisotropic physical properties, making them promising candidates for various applications. However, the lack of matured synthesis methods in anisotropic 2D materials is still the main obstacle to their future applications. Given the mature synthesis method of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), manipulating anisotropy in 2D TMDCs becomes a promising way to tune or trigger functional properties. Herein, for the first time, a van der Waals symmetry engineering is reported to introduce in‐plane polarization in MoS2 through contact with low‐symmetric CrOCl. The emergence of asymmetric second harmonic generation pattern in MoS2/CrOCl heterojunction indicates the variation of lattice symmetry in MoS2. Furthermore, the theoretical simulation shows that such change stems from lattice‐mismatch‐induced uniaxial strain because of the strong interlayer interactions. The angle‐dependent Raman and photoluminescence spectra further identify that the uniaxial strain gives rise to the in‐plane polarization in MoS2. In addition, the polarized MoS2 exhibits excellent orientation‐sensitive electrical characteristics with a conductance anisotropy ratio of ≈1.5. More importantly, the strong linear polarization‐sensitive photodetection is realized, and the anisotropic ratio reached 1.25 with 532 nm. Improving thermal transport between substrate and transistors has become a vital solution to the thermal challenge in nanoelectronics. Recently 2D WTe2 has sparked extensive interest because of heavy atomic mass and low Debye temperature. Here, the thermal transport of supported WTe2 was studied via Raman thermometry with electrical heating. The supported 30 nm WTe2 encased with 70 nm Al2O3 delivered 4.8 W·m−1·K−1 in-plane thermal conductivity along zigzag direction at room temperature, which was almost 1.6 times larger than that along armchair direction (3.0 W·m−1·K−1). Interestingly, the superior and inferior directions for thermal transport are just opposite of those for electrical transport. Hence, a heat manipulation model in WTe2 FET device was proposed. Within the designed configuration, waste heat in WTe2 would be mostly dissipated to metal contacts located along zigzag, relieving the local temperature discrepancy in the channel effectively and preventing degradation or breakdown.
