2. Astrometric Reduction of Saturnian Satellites with Cassini-ISS Images Degraded by Trailed Stars

Abstract

Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) mounted on the Cassini spacecraft has taken a lot of images, which provides an important source of high-precision astrometry of some planets and satellites. However, some of these images are degraded by trailed stars. Previously, these degraded images cannot be used for astrometry. In this paper, a new method is proposed to detect and compute the centers of these trailed stars automatically. The method is then performed on the astrometry of ISS images with trailed stars. Finally, we provided 658 astrometric positions between 2004 and 2017 of several satellites that include Enceladus, Dione, Tethys, Mimas and Rhea. Compared with the JPL ephemeris SAT427, the mean residuals of these measurements are 0.11 km and 0.26 km in right ascension and declination, respectively. Their standard deviations are 1.08 km and 1.37 km, respectively. The results show that the proposed method performs astrometric measurements of Cassini ISS images with trailed stars effectively.

Abstract

Phonon lasers have long been a subject of interest and possess broad application prospects. Much effort is devoted to lay the foundation of realizing phonon lasers using cavity magnomechanical systems, but up to now no related work is carried out to explore the quantum‐squeezing‐engineered phonon laser action in cavity magnomechanics. Here, the phonon laser action is investigated in a three‐mode cavity magnomechanical system built based on a microwave resonator‐yttrium iron garnet sphere composite device, focusing on the effect induced by the magnon‐mode squeezing. It is found that the magnon squeezing can improve the effective magnon–photon and magnon–phonon coupling rates. It is demonstrated that the phonon laser action can be engineered and enhanced by changing the squeezing strength. This scheme provides a new mechanism to improve the effective magnon–photon and magnon–phonon couplings for various applications, and demonstrates the feasibility of realizing high‐gain and low‐threshold phonon lasers with cavity magnomechanical platforms. 42. ATP stress MCE in evaluating coronary microvascular spasm: a case report

Abstract

We report a case of coronary microvascular spasm assessed by ATP stress MCE (myocardial contrast electrocardiography). The patient had chest pain, but the coronary angiography was normal. There was apical ventricular septal perfusion delay before ATP stress, and the perfusion was significantly improved at peak stress, which was similar to the radionuclide myocardial perfusion characteristics of coronary microvascular spasm, In the recovery period, the flow spectrum resistance of the distal coronary artery of the left anterior descending artery increased compared with that before stress, which further confirmed that local coronary microvascular spasm was induced after vasodilation.

Abstract

This paper presents a new scalable 2-π equivalent circuit model of on-chip spiral inductors. The model characterizes on-chip inductors of variable geometrical sizes and number of turns. The density distribution of the magnetic and electric field effect in the metal traces forms the bases for lumped circuit element characterization of the inductor parasitic. The study, therefore, uses the RLC network algorithm to compute a new equation for predicting the self-resonance frequency of on-chip inductors. Inductance, quality factor, and S-parameter plots are shown as the results of the different turns and sizes. The verification of the model illustrates good agreement with the measurement data up to 40GHz. Hence the root-mean-square error of the quality factor of the model with the measured data is 0.0332. The model further demonstrates sufficient reliability to predict the performance of the on-chip inductors in simple RFIC design.
