18. Anticorrosion Mechanism of UV - Curable Organic Polymer Coatings for the Corrosion Protection of Steel Plates

Abstract

Compared with traditional coatings such as high - solid - phase coatings, powder coatings and waterborne coatings, UV - curable coatings have a significant advantage in curing polymers. This paper mainly introduces the basic materials and the cross - linking mechanisms of UV - curable coatings, as well as the corrosion protection mechanisms of UV - curable products on mild steels reported in three different case studies. Through the analysis of case studies, it can be found that the presence of nanoparticles has an impact on the anti - corrosive performances of UV - curable coatings. This could provide a reference for the development of better UV - curable coatings.

Abstract

In order to analyze the degreasing effect of a demulsifiable polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene alkyl ether sample on the steel plates, the conductivity, acidity, particle size, infrared spectrum, ultraviolet spectrum, nuclear magnetic spectrum, degreasing rate and corrosion resistance of the demulsifiable polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene alkyl ether sample were analyzed in detail. Results showed that the main component of the sample was non - anionic and non - cationic surfactant. Polyoxyethylene and propylene segments contained in polymer had similar structure and the properties with polyoxyethylene castor oil and OP - 10. Besides, it was an emulsifier with excellent surface activity, which could be applied to large - area degreasing surface treatment of steel plate.

Abstract

We have demonstrated that complexes [(edt)2Mo2O2(μ‐S)2Ag2(dppm)2]·4CH3OH·DMF (2, edt = 1,2‐ethanedithiolate dianion, dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane, DMF = N,N‐dimethylformamide) and [(μ‐Cl)2Ag4(μ3‐Cl)2(dppm)2]·4DMF (3), were generated by combining a dinuclear molybdenum precursor [Et4N]2[(edt)2Mo2S2(μ‐S)2] (1a) with two equimolar AgCl and dppm in a CH3OH‐DMF mixed solution. Treatment of complex 1a with one equimolar AgCl and DPEPhos in CH3OH and DMF mixed solutions, producing complex [Et4N][(edt)2Mo2S2(μ‐S)2Ag(DPEPhos)]·CH3OH (4, DPEPhos = bis(2‐diphenylphosphinophenyl)ether). Treatment of complex [nPr4N]2[(edt)2Mo2S2(μ‐S)2] (1b) with AgBr in acetonitrile followed by addition of (NH4)2S produced a dodecanuclear Mo–Ag–S cage cluster [nPr4N]2[{Mo2Ag2S2O2(edt)2}3(μ6‐S)]·1.5CH3CN (5). Complexes 2−5 have been characterized by infrared(IR), 1H NMR, UV‐vis, and fluorescence spectroscopies. 38. The isomeric effect of thienopyridazine-based iridium complexes.

Abstract

Three tris-cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes based on different thienopyridazine isomeric ligands were successfully synthesized. The influence of isomerism on material properties was comprehensively evaluated. The thieno[2,3-d]pyridazine based isomeric complexes IrM and IrP have similar photophysical properties. However, sulfur atoms regulate intramolecular hydrogen bonding in complex IrM, leading to differences in other properties. Complex IrM exhibits ambipolar transport properties, good solubility and excellent stability (Td = 425 °C), while IrP shows electronic transport properties, bad solubility and moderate stability (Td = 374 °C). The thieno[3,4-d]pyridazine based complex IrC has very low stability (Td = 214 °C) and significantly reduced optical energy gap compared to other isomers, making it almost non-luminescent. Complexes IrM and IrP are excellent yellow phosphorescent dopants for OLED application, and the maximum power efficiency (PE) and external quantum efficiency (EQE) based on them were 76.0 lm W−1, 26.7% and 73.5 lm W−1, 28.3%, respectively. This indicates that thieno[2,3-d]pyridazine based complexes have great potential for application in full-color displays and solid-state lighting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
