Objective·To analyze the clinicopathologic characteristics of patients with kidney-involved diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), including clinical characteristics, pathological characteristics, gene mutation profiles, and prognostic factors.Methods·One hundred and forty-nine patients with kidney-involved DLBCL, admitted to Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from July 2005 to November 2021, were retrospectively analyzed for their clinicopathological data, survival and prognostic factors, which included therapeutic methods, clinical outcomes, staging, etc. Gene mutation profiles were evaluated by targeted sequencing of 54 lymphoma-related genes. Prognostic factors were also analyzed based on the information mentioned above.Results·A total of 149 kidney-involved DLBCL cases were included, of which 89 patients (58.4%) were aged over sixty, 121 patients (81.2%) were staged Ann Arbor Ⅲ‒Ⅳ, 27 patients (18.1%) had an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of two or more, 121 patients (81.2%) had elevated serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level, 111 patients (74.5%) had extranodal invasion in at least two organs and 131 patients (87.9%) scored over 2 points on the international prognosis index (IPI). The estimated 5-year overall survival (OS) rate and progression-free survival (PFS) rate of kidney-involved DLBCL patients were 52.2% and 50.4% respectively. Univariate analysis revealed that elevated serum LDH levels were an adverse prognostic factor for both OS (P=0.048) and PFS (P=0.033). In pathological characteristics, 145 patients (97.3%) belonged to DLBCL, not otherwise specified (NOS) and 39 patients (26.3%) belonged to germinal center B-cell (GCB) according to Hans classification. Among 144 patients who could be evaluated for clinical outcomes, 87 patients (60.4%) got complete response (CR). Targeted sequencing data from 75 kidney-involved DLBCL patients showed high mutation frequency in PIM1 (n=23, 31%), MYD88 (n=22, 29%), CD79B (n=21, 28%) and KMT2D (n=18, 24%), with CD79B mutation indentified as an adverse prognostic factor for OS in patients with kidney-involved DLBCL (P=0.034).Conclusion·Elevated serum LDH level is an adverse prognostic factor in patients with kidney-involved DLBCL. The prognosis of patients with CD79B mutations is poor.

Then, based on Laban’s movement theories, we propose a parallel one-dimensional convolutional network and recurrent neural network model that adds a way for attention to splice, encode, and decode the time sequences in the opera action data. Next, we employ the full connection layer to generate a sequence of Laban opera action symbols, enabling the recognition of Laban opera actions. Ultimately, we integrate the model with virtual reality technology to establish a virtual opera learning system. Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) is a significant bacterial pathogen responsible for outbreaks of bacterial leaf blight in rice, posing a major threat to rice cultivation worldwide. Effective management of this pathogen is crucial for ensuring rice yield and food security. In this study, we identified and characterized a novel Xoo phage, ZP3, isolated from diseased rice leaves in Zhejiang, China, which may offer new insights into biocontrol strategies against Xoo and contribute to the development of innovative approaches to combat bacterial leaf blight. Transmission electron microscopy indicated that ZP3 had a short, non-contractile tail. Genome sequencing and bioinformatic analysis showed that ZP3 had a double-stranded DNA genome with a length of 44,713 bp, a G + C content of 52.2%, and 59 predicted genes, which was similar to other OP1-type Xoo phages belonging to the genus Xipdecavirus. ZP3's endolysin LysZP was further studied for its bacteriolytic action, and the N-terminal transmembrane domain of LysZP is suggested to be a signal–arrest–release sequence that mediates the translocation of LysZP to the periplasm. Our study contributes to the understanding of phage–Xoo interactions and suggests that phage ZP3 and its endolysin LysZP could be developed into biocontrol agents against this phytopathogen. The emergence of the mobile tigecycline-resistance gene, tet(X4), poses a significant threat to public health. To investigate the prevalence and genetic characteristics of the tet(X4)-positive Escherichia coli in humans, 1101 human stool samples were collected from a tertiary class-A hospital in Beijing, China, in 2019. Eight E. coli isolates that were positive for tet(X4) were identified from clinical departments of oncology (n = 3), hepatology (n = 2), nephrology (n = 1), urology (n = 1), and general surgery (n = 1). They exhibited resistance to multiple antibiotics, including tigecycline, but remained susceptible to meropenem and polymyxin B. A phylogenetic analysis revealed that the clonal spread of four tet(X4)-positive E. coli from different periods of time or departments existed in this hospital, and three isolates were phylogenetically close to the tet(X4)-positive E. coli from animals and the environment. All tet(X4)-positive E. coli isolates contained the IncX1-plasmid replicon. Three isolates successfully transferred their tigecycline resistance to the recipient strain, C600, demonstrating that the plasmid-mediated horizontal gene transfer constitutes another critical mechanism for transmitting tet(X4). Notably, all tet(X4)-bearing plasmids identified in this study had a high similarity to several plasmids recovered from animal-derived strains. Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) is the most infectious pathogen of rice, which causes bacterial leaf blight (BLB) disease. However, the accumulation of chemical or antibiotic resistance of Xoo necessitate the development of its alternative control. In this study, we biologically synthesize three metal oxide nanoparticles (ZnO, MnO2, and MgO) using rhizophytic bacteria Paenibacillus polymyxa strain Sx3 as reducing agent. The biosynthesis of nanoparticles was confirmed and characterized by using UV-vis spectroscopy, XRD, FTIR, EDS, SEM, and TEM analysis. The UV Vis reflectance of the nanoparticle had peaks at 385, 230, and 230 nm with an average crystallite particle size 62.8, 18.8, and 10.9 nm for ZnO, MnO2, and MgO, respectively. Biogenic ZnO, MnO2, and MgO nanoparticles showed substantial significant inhibition effects against Xoo strain GZ 0006 at a concentration of 16.0 μg/ml, for which the antagonized area was 17, 13, and 13 mm and the biofilm formation was decreased by 74.5, 74.4, and 80.2%, respectively. Moreover, the underlining mechanism of nanoparticles was inferred to be in relation to the reactive oxygen species based on their antibacterial efficiency and the deformity in the cell wall phenomenon. Overall, an attractive and eco-friendly biogenic ZnO, MnO2, and MgO nanoparticles were successfully produced. Altogether, the results suggest that the nanoparticles had an excellent antibacterial efficacy against BLB disease in rice plants, together with the increase in growth parameter and rice biomass.
