1. Exploring isospin-nonconserving effects in the upper $fp$ shell with new mass measurements

Abstract: Nuclear mass measurements have recently been extended conspicuously to proton-rich region in the upper $fp$ shell. The new data are utilized to study isospin symmetry breaking phenomena}using Coulomb displacement energy (CDE) and triplet displacement energy (TDE) as probes. The new mass data, either measured for the first time or with greatly improved accuracy, removed several previously found ``anomalies" in the systematical behavior in the $fp$ shell. Remarkably, more regular odd-even staggering patterns can be established in both CDE and TDE, calling for a uniform explanation in terms of isospin-nonconserving (INC) forces across the $sd$, $f_{7/2}$, and upper $fp$ shells. By extending the large-scale shell-model calculation [Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{110}, 172505 (2013)] to the upper $fp$-shell region, we found that, in order to describe the new data, the same INC force is required as previously used for the $f_{7/2}$ shell. Especially, we propose the $T=1$ TDE for those triplet nuclei, that have $pp$, $nn$, and $pn$ pairs on top of a common even-even $N=Z$ core, to be a good indicator for the isotensor component of isospin violating interactions, which is estimated here to be 150 keV., Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures

2. Thermal, topological, and scattering effects of an AdS charged black hole with an antisymmetric tensor background

Abstract: In this study, we explore a spherically symmetric charged black hole with a cosmological constant under the influence of a Kalb--Ramond field background. We compute the photon sphere and shadow radii, validating our findings using observational data from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), with a particular emphasis on the shadow images of Sagittarius $A^{*}$. Furthermore, we investigate the \textit{greybody} factors, emission rate, and partial absorption cross section. It is shown that the Lorentz-violating parameter $\bar{l}$ has an important effect on the absorption cross section. Our analysis also includes an examination of the topological charge, temperature-dependent topology, and generalized free energy. In particular, we regard the AdS charged black hole with an antisymmetric tensor background as a topological defect in the thermodynamic space, then the system has the same topological classification to the charged RN-AdS black hole., Comment: 9 pages, 17 figures

3. JWST reveals a rapid and strong day side variability of 55 Cancri e

Abstract: The nature of the close-in rocky planet 55 Cnc e is puzzling despite having been observed extensively. Its optical and infrared occultation depths show temporal variability, in addition to a phase curve variability observed in the optical. We wish to explore the possibility that the variability originates from the planet being in a 3:2 spin-orbit resonance, thus showing different sides during occultations. We proposed and were awarded Cycle 1 time at the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) to test this hypothesis. JWST/NIRCam observed five occultations (secondary eclipses), of which four were observed within a week, of the planet simultaneously at 2.1 and 4.5 {\mu}m. While the former gives band-integrated photometry, the latter provides a spectrum between 3.9-5.0 {\mu}m. We find that the occultation depths in both bandpasses are highly variable and change between a non-detection (-5 +/- 6 ppm and 7 +/- 9 ppm) to 96 +/- 8 ppm and 119 (+34) (-19) ppm at 2.1 {\mu}m and 4.5 {\mu}m, respectively. Interestingly, the variations in both bandpasses are not correlated and do not support the 3:2 spin-orbit resonance explanation. The measured brightness temperature at 4.5 {\mu}m varies between 873-2256 K and is lower than the expected dayside temperature of bare rock with no heat re-distribution (2500 K) which is indicative of an atmosphere. Our atmospheric retrieval analysis of occultation depth spectra at 4.5 {\mu}m finds that different visits statistically favour various atmospheric scenarios including a thin outgassed CO/CO2 atmosphere and a silicate rock vapour atmosphere. Some visits even support a flat line model. The observed variability could be explained by stochastic outgassing of CO/CO2, which is also hinted by retrievals. Abstract: Charge-changing cross-sections of $^{11-16}$C, $^{13-17}$N and $^{15-18}$O on a carbon target have been determined at energies around 300 MeV/nucleon. A nucleon separation energy dependent correction factor has been introduced to the Glauber model calculation for extracting the nuclear charge radii from the experimental CCCSs. The charge radii of $^{11}$C, $^{13,16}$N and $^{15}$O thus were determined for the first time. With the new radii, we studied the experimental mirror-difference charge radii ($\Delta R_{\text {ch}}^{\text {mirror}}$) of $^{11}$B-$^{11}$C, $^{13}$C-$^{13}$N, $^{15}$N-$^{15}$O, $^{17}$N-$^{17}$Ne pairs for the first time. We find that the $\Delta R_{\text {ch}}^{\text {mirror}}$, including both bound and weakly bound proton-rich mirror partners, are reproduced by the empirical relation to the isospin asymmetry predicted by the $ab$ $initio$ calculations., Comment: 3 figures, submitted to Physics Letters B

Abstract: The discovery of pressurized superconductivity at 80 K in La3Ni2O7 officially brings nickelates into the family of high-temperature superconductors, which gives rise to not only new insights but also mysteries in the strongly correlated superconductivity. More recently, the sibling compound La4Ni3O10 was also shown to be superconducting below about 25 K under pressure, further boosting the popularity of nickelates in the Ruddlesden-Popper phase. In this study, combining high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and ab initio calculation, we systematically investigate the electronic structures of La4Ni3O10 at ambient pressure. We reveal a high resemblance of La4Ni3O10 with La3Ni2O7 in the orbital-dependent fermiology and electronic structure, suggesting a similar electronic correlation between the two compounds. The temperature-dependent measurements imply an orbital-dependent energy gap related to the density-wave transition in La4Ni3O10. By comparing the theoretical pressure-dependent electronic structure, clues about the superconducting high-pressure phase can be deduced from the ambient measurements, providing crucial information for deciphering the unconventional superconductivity in nickelates.

Abstract: Long gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are believed to originate from core collapse of massive stars. High-redshift GRBs can probe the star formation and reionization history of the early universe, but their detection remains rare. Here we report the detection of a GRB triggered in the 0.5--4 keV band by the Wide-field X-ray Telescope (WXT) on board the Einstein Probe (EP) mission, designated as EP240315a, whose bright peak was also detected by the Swift Burst Alert Telescope and Konus-Wind through off-line analyses. At a redshift of $z=4.859$, EP240315a showed a much longer and more complicated light curve in the soft X-ray band than in gamma-rays. Benefiting from a large field-of-view ($\sim$3600 deg$^2$) and a high sensitivity, EP-WXT captured the earlier engine activation and extended late engine activity through a continuous detection. With a peak X-ray flux at the faint end of previously known high-$z$ GRBs, the detection of EP240315a demonstrates the great potential for EP to study the early universe via GRBs., Comment: 41 pages, 8 figures, 7 tables

Abstract: In addition to the pressurized high-temperature superconductivity, bilayer and trilayer nickelate superconductors Lan+1NinO3n+1 (n = 2 and 3) exhibit many intriguing properties at ambient pressure, such as orbital-dependent electronic correlation, non-Fermi liquid behavior, and density-wave transitions. Here, using ultrafast reflectivity measurement, we observe a drastic difference between the ultrafast dynamics of the bilayer and trilayer nickelates at ambient pressure. Firstly, we observe a coherent phonon mode in La4Ni3O10 involving the collective vibration of La, Ni, and O atoms, which is absent in La3Ni2O7. Secondly, the temperature-dependent relaxation time diverges near the density-wave transition temperature of La4Ni3O10, in drastic contrast to kink-like changes in La3Ni2O7. Moreover, we estimate the electron-phonon coupling constants to be 0.05~0.07 and 0.12~0.16 for La3Ni2O7 and La4Ni3O10, respectively, suggesting a relatively minor role of electron-phonon coupling in the electronic properties of Lan+1NinO3n+1. Our work not only sheds light on the relevant microscopic interaction but also establishes a foundation for further studying the interplay between superconductivity and density-wave transitions in nickelate superconductors.

Abstract: A central paradigm of non-equilibrium physics concerns the dynamics of heterogeneity and disorder, impacting processes ranging from the behavior of glasses to the emergent functionality of active matter. Understanding these complex mesoscopic systems requires probing the microscopic trajectories associated with irreversible processes, the role of fluctuations and entropy growth, and the timescales on which non-equilibrium responses are ultimately maintained. Approaches that illuminate these processes in model systems may enable a more general understanding of other heterogeneous non-equilibrium phenomena, and potentially define ultimate speed and energy cost limits for information processing technologies. Here, we apply ultrafast single shot x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy to resolve the non-equilibrium, heterogeneous, and irreversible mesoscale dynamics during a light-induced phase transition. This approach defines a new way of capturing the nucleation of the induced phase, the formation of transient mesoscale defects at the boundaries of the nuclei, and the eventual annihilation of these defects, even in systems with complex polarization topologies. A non-equilibrium response spanning >10 orders of magnitude in timescales is observed, with multistep behavior similar to the plateaus observed in supercooled liquids and glasses. We show how the observed time-dependent long-time correlations can be understood in terms of the stochastic dynamics of domain walls, encoded in effective waiting-time distributions with power-law tails. This work defines new possibilities for probing the non-equilibrium and correlated dynamics of disordered and heterogeneous media.

Abstract: The ground-state mass excess of the $T_{z}=-2$ drip-line nucleus $^{22}$Al is measured for the first time to be $18103(10)$ keV using the newly-developed B$\rho$-defined isochronous mass spectrometry method at the cooler storage ring in Lanzhou. The new mass excess value allowed us to determine the excitation energies of the two low-lying $1^+$ states in $^{22}$Al with significantly reduced uncertainties of 51 keV. Comparing to the analogue states in its mirror nucleus $^{22}$F, the mirror energy differences of the two $1^+$ states in the $^{22}$Al-$^{22}$F mirror pair are determined to be $-625(51)$ keV and $-330(51)$ keV, respectively. The excitation energies and the mirror energy differences are used to test the state-of-the-art \textit{ab initio} valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group calculations with four sets of interactions derived from the chiral effective field theory. The mechanism leading to the large mirror energy differences is investigated and attributed to the occupation of the $\pi s_{1/2}$ orbital., Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures

11. Assessing Left Main Bifurcation Anatomy and Haemodynamics: A Potential Surrogate for Disease Risk in Suspected Coronary Artery Disease Without Stenosis?

Abstract: Coronary anatomy governs local haemodynamics associated with atherosclerotic development, progression and ultimately adverse clinical outcomes. However, lack of large sample size studies and methods to link adverse haemodynamics to anatomical information has hindered meaningful insights to date. The Left Main coronary bifurcations of 127 patients with suspected coronary artery disease in the absence of significant stenosis were segmented from CTCA images before computing the local haemodynamics. We correlated 11 coronary anatomical characteristics with the normalised lumen area exposed to adverse haemodynamics linked with atherosclerotic processes. These include mean curvatures and diameters of branches, bifurcation and inflow angles, and Finet's ratio as the anatomical parameters, and low Time-Averaged Endothelial Shear Stress (lowTAESS<0.5Pa), high Oscillatory Shear Index (highOSI>0.1), and high Relative Residence Time (highRRT>4.17 1/Pa) for the haemodynamic consideration. We separately tested if the geometric measures and haemodynamics indicators differed between subgroups (sex, smokers, and those with hypertension). We then use a step-down multiple linear regression model to find the best model for predicting lowTAESS, highOSI and highRRT. Finet's Ratio (FR) significantly correlated to lowTAESS (p<0.001). Vessel diameters and curvature correlated to highOSI (both p<0.001). Finet's ratio, vessel diameters and daughter branch curvature independently correlated to RRT (all p<0.01). Our results indicate that specific anatomical vessel characteristics may be used as a surrogate of adverse haemodynamic environment associated with clinically adverse mechanisms of disease. This is especially powerful with the latest computing resources and may unlock clinical integration via standard imaging modalities as biomarkers without further computationally expensive simulations., Comment: 14 pages, 2 figures

15. Densifying MIMO: Channel Modeling, Physical Constraints, and Performance Evaluation for Holographic Communications

Abstract: As the backbone of the fifth-generation (5G) cellular network, massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) encounters a significant challenge in practical applications: how to deploy a large number of antenna elements within limited spaces. Recently, holographic communication has emerged as a potential solution to this issue. It employs dense antenna arrays and provides a tractable model. Nevertheless, some challenges must be addressed to actualize this innovative concept. One is the mutual coupling among antenna elements within an array. When the element spacing is small, near-field coupling becomes the dominant factor that strongly restricts the array performance. Another is the polarization of electromagnetic waves. As an intrinsic property, it was not fully considered in the previous channel modeling of holographic communication. The third is the lack of real-world experiments to show the potential and possible defects of a holographic communication system. In this paper, we propose an electromagnetic channel model based on the characteristics of electromagnetic waves. This model encompasses the impact of mutual coupling in the transceiver sides and the depolarization in the propagation environment. Furthermore, by approximating an infinite array, the performance restrictions of large-scale dense antenna arrays are also studied theoretically to exploit the potential of the proposed channel. In addition, numerical simulations and a channel measurement experiment are conducted. Abstract: We present the charge-changing cross sections (CCCS) of $^{11-15}$C, $^{13-17}$N, and $^{15,17-18}$O at around 300 MeV/nucleon on a carbon target, which extends to $p$-shell isotopes with $N < Z$ for the first time. The Glauber model, which considers only the proton distribution of projectile nuclei, underestimates the cross sections by more than 10\%. We show that this discrepancy can be resolved by considering the contribution from the charged-particle evaporation process (CPEP) following projectile neutron removal. Using nucleon densities from the deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum, we investigate the isospin-dependent CPEP contribution to the CCCS for a wide range of neutron-to-proton separation energy asymmetry. Our calculations, which include the CPEP contribution, agree well with existing systematic data and reveal an ``evaporation peak" at the isospin symmetric region where the neutron-to-proton separation energy is close to zero. These results suggest that analysis beyond the Glauber model is crucial for accurately determining nuclear charge radii from CCCSs., Comment: 5 figures

21. Sub-SQL electronic field sensing by simultaneously using quantum entanglements and squeezings

Abstract: Quantum entanglement and quantum squeezing are two most typical approaches to beat the standard quantum limit (SQL) of the sensitive phase estimations in quantum metrology. Each of them has already been utilized individually to improve the sensitivity of electric field sensing with the trapped ion platform, but the upper bound of the demonstrated sensitivity gain is very limited, i.e., the experimental 3dB and theoretical 6dB, over the SQL. Here, by simultaneously using the internal (spin)-external (oscillator) state entanglements and the oscillator squeezings to effectively amplify the accumulation phase, we show that these sensitivity gains can be effectively surpassed. Hopefully, the proposal provides a novel approach to the stronger beaten of the SQL for the sensitive sensings of the desired electric field and also the other metrologies.

A total of 200 patients with symptomatic knee OA will be randomly allocated to the SSBD treatment or placebo intervention group for 4 weeks. The two groups of patients are allowed to steam and bathe their knees once every other day, using one packet of SSBD each time, for 30 minutes, 3 times a week, for a total of 4 weeks. The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) pain subscale at 4 weeks is the primary outcome measure, and the secondary outcomes include WOMAC stiffness and function scores, the Lysholm knee scale score, quality of life, the Brief Pain Inventory score, the Patient’s Global Impressions of Improvement Scale score and the Clinical Global Impressions of Severity scale score. The safety of the herbal medications will also be evaluated.Conclusion: We will discuss whether SSBD has greater advantages in terms of efficacy, safety, and patient overall perception than does placebo control in middle-aged and elderly patients with knee OA. In the final analysis, 99 women (18.6%) were found to have residual or recurrent high-grade CIN (CIN2 or worse) within five years of follow-up. Four feature selection methods identified significant predictors of residual or recurrent CIN. Eight ML algorithms were evaluated using performance metrics such as AUROC, accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, F1 score, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis. Fivefold cross-validation optimized and validated the model, and SHAP analysis assessed feature importance.Results: The XGBoost algorithm demonstrated the highest predictive performance with the best AUROC. The optimized model included six key predictors: age, ThinPrep cytologic test (TCT) results, HPV classification, CIN severity, glandular involvement, and margin status. SHAP analysis identified CIN severity and margin status as the most influential predictors. We detail the properties of polydopamine and its biomaterial types, highlighting its superior performance in functional modification on nanoparticles and materials. Patients in the TAP block group were subjected to a bilateral transversal abdominal muscle plane block with 0.33% ropivacaine (20 mL on each side) guided by ultrasound. The control group received an equal volume of normal saline. The MACBAR of sevoflurane in each group was determined using a sequential allocation technique.Results: The MACBAR of sevoflurane in the TAP block group was significantly lower than that in the control group (4.20% [95% confidence interval {CI}, 4.02%– 4.38%] vs 5.03% [95% CI, 4.89%– 5.18%]).Conclusion: Bilateral TAP block can reduce the MACBAR of sevoflurane in gynecological patients with pneumoperitoneum stimulation.Trial Registration Number: ChiCTR2100046517. AECOPD-relevant proteins were gathered from Gene Cards and the Online-Mendelian-Inheritance-in-Man database. Protein–protein interaction, GO and KEGG enrichment analyses of the targets from the intersection of SBPD and AECOPD targets were performed to identify the core signaling pathway, followed by molecular docking verification of its interaction with active ingredients. The network pharmacology results were checked using in-vivo experiments. To induce AECOPD, rats were exposure to combined tobacco smoke and lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Then rats underwent gavage with stigmasterol (SM) after successful modeling. The involvement of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt) signaling was investigated using its inhibitor, LY294002. Lung function and histopathology were examined. The levels of inflammatory cytokines in the lung and serum were assessed by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), Western blot and/or Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results: SM was recognized as an active ingredient of SBPD and stably bound to Akt1. SM improved lung function and histological abnormalities, concomitant with suppressed PI3K/Akt signaling, downregulated lung and serum Interleukin 6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels and serum transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) levels and upregulated lung and serum Interleukin 10 (IL-10) levels in AECOPD rats. Extracellular vesicles and particles (EVPs) in the liver’s interstitial space are crucial for signal transduction, metabolism, and immune regulation. Understanding the role and mechanism of liver-derived EVPs in regeneration is significant, particularly after partial hepatectomy, where the mechanisms remain unclear.Methods: A 70% hepatectomy model was established in mice, and EVPs were isolated and characterized using electron microscopy, nanocharacterization, and Western blot analysis. Combined metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses revealed β-sitosterol enrichment in EVPs and activation of the Hedgehog signaling pathway during regeneration. The role of β-sitosterol in EVPs on the Hedgehog pathway and its targets were identified using qRT-PCR, Western blot analysis. The regulation of carnitine synthesis by this pathway was determined using a dual luciferase assay. The effect of a β-sitosterol diet on liver regeneration was verified in mice.Results: After 70% hepatectomy, the liver successfully regenerated without liver failure or death. At 24 hours post-surgery, tissue staining showed transient regeneration-associated steatosis (TRAS), with increased Ki67 positivity at 48 hours. EVPs displayed a spherical lipid bilayer structure with particle sizes of 70– 130 nm. CD9, CD63, and CD81 in liver-derived EVPs were confirmed. Transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses showed EVPs supplementation significantly promoted carnitine synthesis and fatty acid oxidation. Tissue staining confirmed accelerated TRAS resolution and enhanced liver regeneration with EVP supplementation. Mass spectrometry identified β-sitosterol in EVPs, which binds to Smo protein, activating the Hedgehog pathway. This led to the nuclear transport of Gli3, stimulating Setd5 transcription and inducing carnitine synthesis, thereby accelerating fatty acid oxidation. Mice with increased β-sitosterol intake showed faster TRAS resolution and liver regeneration compared to controls.Conclusion: Liver-derived EVPs promote regeneration after partial hepatectomy. β-sitosterol from EVPs accelerates fatty acid oxidation and promotes liver regeneration by activating Hedgehog signaling pathway. Chemotherapy, a mainstay modality for NSCLC, has demonstrated restricted effectiveness due to the emergence of chemo-resistance and systemic side effects. Studies have indicated that combining chemotherapy with phototherapy, such as photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT), can enhance efficacy of therapy. In this work, an aminated mesoporous graphene oxide (rPGO)-protoporphyrin IX (PPIX)-hyaluronic acid (HA)@Osimertinib (AZD) nanodrug delivery system (rPPH@AZD) was successfully developed for combined chemotherapy/phototherapy for NSCLC.Methods: A pH/hyaluronidase-responsive nanodrug delivery system (rPPH@AZD) was prepared using mesoporous graphene oxide. Its morphology, elemental composition, surface functional groups, optical properties, in vitro drug release ability, photothermal properties, reactive oxygen species production, cellular uptake and cell viability were evaluated. In addition, the in vivo therapeutic effect, biocompatibility, and imaging capabilities of rPPH@AZD were verified by a tumor-bearing mouse model.Results: Aminated mesoporous graphene oxide (rPGO) plays a role as a drug delivery vehicle owing to its large specific surface area and ease of surface functionalization. rPGO exhibits excellent photothermal conversion properties under laser irradiation, while PPIX acts as a photosensitizer to generate singlet oxygen. AZD acts as a small molecule targeted drug in chemotherapy. In essence, rPPH@AZD shows excellent photothermal and fluorescence imaging effects in tumor-bearing mice. More importantly, in vitro and in vivo results indicate that rPPH@AZD can achieve hyaluronidase/pH dual response as well as combined chemotherapy/PTT/PDT anti-NSCLC treatment.Conclusion: The newly prepared rPPH@AZD can serve as a promising pH/hyaluronidase-responsive nanodrug delivery system that integrates photothermal/fluorescence imaging and chemo/photo combined therapy for efficient therapy against NSCLC. Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis was used to determine the optimal cutoff values for SIRI and SII to predict ISR. Based on the optimal cutoff values for SIRI and SII, patients were categorized into high-SIRI, low-SIRI, high-SII, and low-SII groups. Multivariate logistic regression models were constructed to assess the predictive value of SIRI and SII for ISR > 50% and ISR > 70%.Results: This study included a total of 387 patients who underwent coronary angiography and follow-up at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. Patients in the high-SIRI group had a higher incidence of ISR than those in the low-SIRI group (ISR > 50%: 44.8% vs 30.7%, p = 0.018; ISR > 70%: 41.5% vs 4.5%, p < 0.001). In addition, ISR occurred more frequently in patients with a higher SII than in patients with a lower SII (ISR > 50%: 52.6% vs 35.7%, p = 0.001; ISR > 70%: 51.9% vs 23%, p < 0.001). In multivariate logistic regression analysis, SIRI and SII were found to be independent predictive factors for ISR, both as continuous and categorical variables. In the ROC analysis, the optimal cutoff value for SIRI was set at 0.54 (sensitivity: 84.5%, specificity: 27%), and the optimal cutoff value for SII was set at 545.29 (sensitivity: 44.1%, specificity: 71.7%).Conclusion: Elevated preoperative SIRI and SII values help predict ISR and may serve as a useful screening tool to perform interventional procedures based on the patient’s risk of ISR after stent implantation.Keywords: SIRI, SII, in-stent restenosis, percutaneous coronary intervention

Generally, verrucae vulgaris are harmless to the body, but when they occur in specific areas such as the face or soles of the feet, they can profoundly impact an individual’s quality of life and necessitate therapeutic intervention. Although several pharmacological and physical topical treatments are available, the results are often unsatisfactory in terms of efficacy and cosmetic outcome. Verrucae which typically occur widely on the face are usually Verrucae Planae. When Verrucae vulgaris does occur, it usually presents as single or occasional multiple lesions, rather than covering almost the entire face. In immunocompromised situations, verruca vulgaris can exhibit rare proliferative behavior. In this report, we present a 17-year-old male adolescent who was successfully treated for generalized facial verrucae vulgaris by using a combination of curettage and photodynamic therapy (PDT). The patient’s prolonged use of topical corticosteroids and tacrolimus ointment on the face for eczema over several years is believed to have led to a localized immunosuppressive state of the facial skin, which is considered a significant factor in the outbreak of verrucae vulgaris. Additionally, the patient has a history of acne and frequently scratched face. The appearance of the Koebner phenomenon following scratching is considered another potential reason. This treatment achieved complete resolution and improved the patient’s pre-existing acne problem, resulting in a satisfactory cosmetic outcome without any notable adverse effects or recurrence during the follow-up period. This study investigates whether combining ICB with ICD induced by nanoparticle-mediated SDT could enhance anti-tumor immunity and inhibit HCC growth.Methods: We developed an iron-based micelle nanodelivery system encapsulating the Near-Infrared Dye IR-780, which was surface-modified with a cyclic tripeptide composed of arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (cRGD). This led to the synthesis of targeted IR780@FOM-cRGD nanoparticles. These nanoparticles were specifically engineered to kill tumor cells under sonication, activate immunogenic cell death (ICD), and be used in conjunction with immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Results: The synthesized IR780@FOM-cRGD nanoparticles had an average diameter of 28.23± 1.750 nm and a Zeta potential of − 23.95± 1.926. Confocal microscopy demonstrated that IR780@FOM-cRGD could target HCC cells while minimizing toxicity to healthy cells. Upon sonodynamic activation, these nanoparticles consumed significant amounts of oxygen and generated substantial reactive oxygen species (ROS), effectively killing tumor cells and inhibiting the proliferation, invasion, and migration of H22 cells. Hemolysis assays confirmed the in vivo safety of the nanoparticles, and in vivo fluorescence imaging revealed significant accumulation in tumor tissues. Mouse model experiments showed that combining ICB(which induced by Anti-PD-L1) with ICD (which induced by IR780@FOM-cRGD), could effectively activated anti-tumor immunity and suppressed tumor growth.Discussion: This study highlights the potential of IR780@FOM-cRGD nanoparticles to facilitate tumor eradication and immune activation when used in conjunction with Anti-PD-L1 therapy. This combination represents a non-invasive, efficient, and targeted approach for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The sample included 22 interviewees, who were recruited in Subei People’s Hospital according to the purposive sampling method. Colaizzi’s method was employed for the purpose of evaluation in the course of the data analysis.Findings: Thematic analysis of the postoperative rehabilitation views of the interviewees identified eight sub-themes connected to three main themes in accordance with the Behaviour Change Wheel Theory. These were capability-related, opportunity-related, and motivation-related factors.Conclusion: It is imperative to enhance the glycaemic control and health perception of T2DM-RCI patients. To this end, rehabilitation programmes, comprising exercise and dietary modifications, must be tailored to the specific needs of each patient. Thus, more effective strategies are needed to improve the treatment of HCC.Methods: In this study, we report the use of a visualized glypican-3 (GPC3)-targeting nanodelivery system (named GC-NBs) in combination with sonodynamic therapy (SDT) to enhance the therapeutic efficacy for treating HCC. The obtained nanodelivery system could actively target hepatocellular carcinoma cells and achieve ultrasound imaging through phase changes into nanobubbles under low-intensity ultrasound irradiation. Meanwhile, the released chlorine e6 (Ce6) after the nanobubbles collapse could lead to the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) under ultrasound irradiation to induce SDT.Results: Both in vitro and in vivo experiments have shown that GC-NBs can accumulate in tumour areas and achieve sonodynamic antitumour therapy under the navigation action of glypican-3-antibody (GPC3-Ab). Furthermore, in vitro and in vivo experiments did not show significant biological toxicity of the nanodelivery system. Moreover, GC-NBs can be imaged with ultrasound, providing personalized treatment monitoring.Conclusion: GC-NBs enable a visualized antitumour strategy from a targeted sonodynamic perspective by combining tumour-specific targeting and stimuli-responsive controlled release into a single system. This study involved a one-month intervention teaching eye exercises using a composite feedback model. Assessments were made at 3 and 9 months post-intervention. Data collection occurred thrice, including a baseline and two follow-ups, measuring monocular and binocular accommodative facility, monocular and binocular accommodative amplitude, CISS scale, spherical equivalent refraction, and uncorrected visual acuity. Analysis used chi-square tests and generalized estimating equations to evaluate the exercises’ effectiveness, with a significance threshold of P < 0.05.Results: 134 students completed the follow-up, including 61 females (45.52%). After teaching intervention, students showed significant improvements in the accuracy of manipulation, rhythm, acupoint location, strength effectiveness and rhythm of acupressure eye exercises (all P < 0.05), with increases of 10.37%, 13.03%, 16.96%, and 25.17%, respectively. Follow-up assessments revealed both monocular and binocular accommodative amplitude at T3 were significantly higher than at T1 and T2. Moreover, the binocular accommodative amplitude in the high-quality eye exercise group remained significantly higher than that in the low-quality group even(B=1.39,1.46, P < 0.01). Eye exercises could improve monocular and binocular accommodative amplitude in the short term(P < 0.05). High-quality eye exercises could alleviate visual fatigue (B=− 2.00--3.49, both P < 0.05). However, eye exercises did not demonstrate any advantages in affecting spherical equivalent refraction or uncorrected visual acuity (P > 0.05).Conclusion: Eye exercises can alleviate myopia-related symptoms in Chinese children aged 7 to 11 years. PTB patients were classified into the CPTB group and the non-CPTB group based on chest computed tomography findings, and were randomly allocated to the training set (70%) and the validation cohort (30%). The training set and validation set were used to establish and validate nomogram, respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis (MLSA) was used to identify the independent risk factors for CPTB in patients with PTB. Statistically significant variables in the MLSA were then used to construct a nomogram predicting CPTB in patients with PTB. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration curve analysis (CCA), and decision curve analysis (DCA) were used for the evaluation of the nomogram.Results: A total of 293 PTB patients, including 208 in the training set (85 CPTB) and 85 in the validation set (33 CPTB\), were included in this study. Stepwise MLSA showed that sputum smear (≥ 2+), smoking(yes), glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c), hemoglobin (HB), and systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) were independent risk factors for the development of cavitation in patients with PTB. The nomogram identifying the high-risk CPTB patients was successfully established and showed a strong predictive capacity, with area under the curves (AUCs) of 0.875 (95% CI:0.806– 0.909) and 0.848 (95% CI:0.751– 0.946) in the training set and validation set respectively. In addition, the CCA and DCA corroborated the nomogram’s high level of accuracy and clinical applicability within both the training and validation sets.Conclusion: The constructed nomogram, consisting of sputum smear positivity, smoking, HbA1C, HB, and SIRI, serves as a practical and effective tool for early identification and personalized management of CPTB.Keywords: pulmonary tuberculosis, cavitation, nomogram

The effects of H8-BMSCs-NVs on hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism were observed in a T2D mouse model and a HepG2 cell insulin resistance model. To evaluate changes in potential signaling pathways, the PI3K/AKT/AMPK signaling pathway and expression levels of G6P and PEPCK were assessed by Western blotting.Results: H8-BMSCs-NVs effectively improved lipid accumulation in liver tissues and restored liver dysfunction in T2D mice. Meanwhile, H8-BMSCs-NVs effectively inhibited intracellular lipid accumulation in the insulin resistance models of HepG2 cells. Abstract: We perform correlation and periodicity search analyses on long-term multi-band light curves of the FSRQ 1510-089 observed by the space-based Fermi--Large Area Telescope in gamma-rays, the SMARTS and Steward Observatory telescopes in optical and near-infrared (NIR) and the 13.7 m radio telescope in Metsahovi Radio Observatory between 2008 and 2018. The z-transform discrete correlation function method is applied to study the correlation and possible time lags among these multi band light curves. Among all pairs of wavelengths, the gamma-ray vs. optical/NIR and optical vs. NIR correlations show zero time lags; however, both the gamma-ray and optical/NIR emissions precede the radio radiation. The Generalized Lomb-Scargle periodogram, Weighted Wavelet Z-transform, and REDFIT techniques are employed to investigate the unresolved-core-emission dominated 37 GHz light curve and yield evidence for a quasi-period around 1540 days, although given the length of the whole data set it cannot be claimed to be significant. Abstract: The Lobster Eye Imager for Astronomy (LEIA), a pathfinder of the Wide-field X-ray Telescope of the Einstein Probe (EP) mission, was successfully launched onboard the SATech-01 satellite of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on 27 July 2022. In this paper, we introduce the design and on-ground test results of the LEIA instrument. Using state-of-the-art Micro-Pore Optics (MPO), a wide field-of-view (FoV) of 346 square degrees (18.6 degrees * 18.6 degrees) of the X-ray imager is realized. An optical assembly composed of 36 MPO chips is used to focus incident X-ray photons, and four large-format complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensors, each of 6 cm * 6 cm, are used as the focal plane detectors. The instrument has an angular resolution of 4 - 8 arcmin (in FWHM) for the central focal spot of the point spread function, and an effective area of 2 - 3 cm2 at 1 keV in essentially all the directions within the field of view. The detection passband is 0.5 - 4 keV in the soft X-rays and the sensitivity is 2 - 3 * 10-11 erg s-1 cm-2 (about 1 mini-Crab) at 1,000 second observation. The total weight of LEIA is 56 kg and the power is 85 W. The satellite, with a design lifetime of 2 years, operates in a Sun-synchronous orbit of 500 km with an orbital period of 95 minutes. LEIA is paving the way for future missions by verifying in flight the technologies of both novel focusing imaging optics and CMOS sensors for X-ray observation, and by optimizing the working setups of the instrumental parameters. Abstract: T91 samples were exposed to static liquid lead-bismuth eutectic (LBE) at 700{\deg}C for 250-500 hours in either an oxidising or reducing environment. Corrosion damage was characterised using electron microscopy techniques, which identified networks of LBE intrusion beneath LBE-wetted surfaces. Under reducing conditions these networks are uniformly distributed, while they appear patchier and deeper under oxidising conditions. The individual intrusions preferentially follow microstructural features, initially along prior-austenite grain boundaries, followed by penetration down martensite lath boundaries. Local depletion of Cr was observed within 4 {\mu}m of the intrusions and along intersecting boundaries, suggesting local Cr dissolution as the main corrosion mechanism., Comment: 14 pages, 4 figures and graphical abstract, submitted to Scripta Materialia

To address this, we leveraged the affinity of macrophage membrane proteins for inflamed brain microvascular endothelial cells to develop a macrophage membrane-cloaked liposome loaded with Rg3 and PNS (MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS), which can precisely target brain lesion region through intranasal administration.Methods: MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS was prepared by co-extrusion method and was performed by characterization, stability, surface protein, and morphology. The cellular uptake, immune escape ability, and blood-brain barrier crossing ability of MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS were studied in vitro. The in vivo brain targeting, biodistribution and anti-ischemic efficacy of MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS were evaluated in MACO rats, and we determined the diversity of the nasal brain pathway through the olfactory nerve blockade model in rats. Finally, the pharmacokinetics and brain targeting index of MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS were investigated.Results: Our results indicated that MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS was spherical with a shell-core structure. MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS can avoid mononuclear phagocytosis, actively bind to inflammatory endothelial cells, and have the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. Moreover, MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS could specifically target ischemic sites, even microglia, increase the cumulative number of drugs in the brain, improve the inflammatory environment of the brain, and reduce the infarct size. By comparing olfactory nerve-blocking rats with normal rats, it was found that there are direct and indirect pathways for nasal entry into the brain. Pharmacokinetics demonstrated that MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS exhibited stronger brain targeting and prolonged drug half-life.Conclusion: MM-Lip-Rg3/PNS might contribute to the accumulation of Rg3 and PNS in the ischemic brain area to improve treatment efficacy. This biomimetic nano-drug delivery system provides a new and promising strategy for the treatment of ischemic stroke. The nucleus accumbens (NAc) plays an important role in mediating emotional and cognitive processes and analgesia. This study investigated the resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) and effective connectivity (EC) of NAc and its subregions in cLBP.Methods: Thirty-four cLBP patients and 34 age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HC) underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). Seed-based rsFC and Dynamic Causal Modelling (DCM) were used to examine the alteration of the rsFC and EC of the NAc.Results: Our results showed that the cLBP group had increased rsFC of the bilateral NAc-left superior frontal cortex (SFC), orbital frontal cortex (OFC), left angular gyrus, the left NAc-bilateral middle temporal gyrus, as well as decreased rsFC of left NAc-left supramarginal gyrus, right precentral gyrus, left cerebellum, brainstem (medulla oblongata), and right insula pathways compared with the HC; the results of the subregions were largely consistent with the whole NAc. In addition, the rsFC of the left NAc-left SFC was negatively correlated with Hamilton’s Depression Scale (HAMD) scores (r = − 0.402, p = 0.018), and the rsFC of left NAc-OFC was positively correlated with present pain intensity scores (r = 0.406, p = 0.017) in the cLBP group. DCM showed that the cLBP group showed significantly increased EC from the left cerebellum to the right NAc (p = 0.012) as compared with HC.Conclusion: Overall, our findings demonstrate aberrant rsFC and EC between NAc and regions that are associated with emotional regulation and cognitive processing in individuals with cLBP, underscoring the pivotal roles of emotion and cognition in cLBP.Keywords: low back pain, nucleus accumbens, resting-state functional connectivity, dynamic causal modelling
