We examined the possibilities of employing collaborative action research (CAR) to promote Mainland Chinese secondary school teachers' engagement with the recent curriculum reform. A brief background of the history of the examination culture and the curriculum reform is provided. We analysed key challenges leading to teachers' resistance to curriculum change, including test-based accountability control, lack of self-efficacy, and perceived roles as mere curriculum receivers and implementers. We then drew from CAR to offer considerations to promote teacher change where teachers can be encouraged to align their teaching with their moral purposes, build up self-efficacy, and develop ownership of curriculum change.

Phytoplasmas can induce complex and substantial phenotypic changes in their hosts in ways that favour their colonisation, but the mechanisms underlying these changes remain largely unknown. Jujube witches' broom (JWB) disease is a typical phytoplasma disease causing great economic loss in Chinese jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.). Here, we reported an effector, PHYL1JWB from Candidatus Phytoplasma ziziphi, which implicated in inducing abnormal floral organogenesis. Utilising a combination of in vivo and in vitro methods, we investigated the influence of PHYL1JWB on the proteins associated with floral development. Our findings reveal that PHYL1JWB facilitates the proteasome‐mediated degradation of essential flower morphogenetic regulators, including AP1, SEP1, SEP2, SEP3, SEP4, CAL, and AGL6, through a distinctive pathway that is dependent on the activity of the 26S proteasome, thus obviating the requirement for lysine ubiquitination of the substrates. Further, the Y2H analysis showed that the leucine at position 75th in second α helix of PHYL1JWB is fundamental for the interactions of PHYL1JWB with AP1 and SEP1‐4 in jujube and Arabidopsis. Our research carry profound implications for elucidating the contribution of PHYL1JWB to the aberrant floral development in diseased jujube, and help to establish a robust theoretical underpinning for the prophylaxis and therapy of JWB disease. Using a panel smooth conversion model, data of listed companies in the Chinese A-stock market and the digital inclusive finance index from 2011 to 2018 are used to empirically test the nonlinear impact and heterogeneity of digital inclusive finance on corporate technological innovation. The results show the following: First, the development of digital inclusive finance has a nonlinear effect of first promoting and then inhibiting the technological innovation of enterprises. Second, the nonlinear impact of digital inclusive finance development on the technological innovation of SMEs is more obvious. Finally, in the subdivision dimension of digital inclusive finance, the depth of use has a significant positive effect on the technological innovation of enterprises, the breadth of coverage has a significant inhibitory effect on the impact of enterprise innovation, and the degree of digitization is realized as an inverted U-shaped relationship that first rises and then falls. Milligan–Morgan(M-M) hemorrhoidectomy is regarded as the primary treatment option for patients diagnosed with grade III or IV hemorrhoids. Here, we present the case of a 50-year-old male who developed pyogenic liver abscesses as an unusual complication following M-M hemorrhoidectomy. Severe complications subsequent to hemorrhoid surgery are infrequent. A review of the PubMed database spanning the 30-year period between 1994 and 2024 yielded only four publications documenting patients who experienced liver abscesses following open hemorrhoidectomy. Furthermore, the patient exhibited symptoms of a liver abscess as early as the second day post-surgery, despite having no history of diabetes or liver disease, making this occurrence truly uncommon. The pulse current oxidation methods were used to degrade the malachite green (MG) using lead dioxide as anodes. The influences of operating parameters, including pulse frequency, pulse current density and pulse duty cycle, on the MG removal efficiency were investigated. The results indicate that MG removal efficiency can reach 99.6% after 90 min with the pulse frequency at 10 Hz, pulse current density at 30 mA cm−2 and pulse duty cycle at 0.6. The pulse degradation processes follow the pseudo-first-order kinetics. Comparison with direct current oxidisation methods, pulse oxidisation methods can enhance MG and COD removal efficiency and reduce the energy consumption. Moreover, pulse oxidisation methods can increase the amount of hydroxyl radicals generation and reduce side reactions (such as oxygen evolution) in the degradation process of MG. Finally, a possible degradation pathway of MG in pulse current modes was proposed based on the intermediate products identified by GC/MS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
