In the NISQ era, achieving large-scale quantum computing demands compact circuits to mitigate decoherence and gate error accumulation. Quantum operations with diverse degrees of freedom hold promise for circuit compression, but conventional approaches encounter challenges in simultaneously adjusting multiple parameters. Here, we propose a transition composite gate (TCG) scheme grounded on state-selective transition path engineering, enabling more expressive conditional operations. We experimentally validate a controlled unitary (CU) gate as an example, with independent and continuous parameters. By adjusting the parameters of $\rm X^{12}$ gate, we obtain the CU family with a fidelity range of 95.2% to 99.0% leveraging quantum process tomography (QPT). To demonstrate the capability of circuit compression, we use TCG scheme to prepare 3-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) and W states, with the fidelity of 96.77% and 95.72%. TCG can achieve the reduction in circuit depth of about 40% and 44% compared with the use of CZ gates only. Moreover, we show that short-path TCG (SPTCG) can further reduce the state-preparation circuit time cost. Quantum computational fluid dynamics (QCFD) offers a promising alternative to classical computational fluid dynamics (CFD) by leveraging quantum algorithms for higher efficiency. This paper introduces a comprehensive QCFD method, including an iterative method "Iterative-QLS" that suppresses error in quantum linear solver, and a subspace method to scale the solution to a larger size. We implement our method on a superconducting quantum computer, demonstrating successful simulations of steady Poiseuille flow and unsteady acoustic wave propagation. The Poiseuille flow simulation achieved a relative error of less than $0.2\%$, and the unsteady acoustic wave simulation solved a 5043-dimensional matrix. We emphasize the utilization of the quantum-classical hybrid approach in applications of near-term quantum computers. By adapting to quantum hardware constraints and offering scalable solutions for large-scale CFD problems, our method paves the way for practical applications of near-term quantum computers in computational science., Comment: 31 pages, 10 figures

Fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) is essential for achieving large-scale practical quantum computation. Implementing arbitrary FTQC requires the execution of a universal gate set on logical qubits, which is highly challenging. Particularly, in the superconducting system, two-qubit gates on surface code logical qubits have not been realized. Here, we experimentally implement logical CNOT gate as well as arbitrary single-qubit rotation gates on distance-2 surface codes using the superconducting quantum processor \textit{Wukong}, thereby demonstrating a universal logical gate set. In the experiment, we design encoding circuits to prepare the required logical states, where the fidelities of the fault-tolerantly prepared logical states surpass those of the physical states. Furthermore, we demonstrate the transversal CNOT gate between two logical qubits and fault-tolerantly prepare four logical Bell states, all with fidelities exceeding those of the Bell states on the physical qubits. Using the logical CNOT gate and an ancilla logical state, arbitrary single-qubit rotation gate is implemented through gate teleportation. All logical gates are characterized on a complete state set and their fidelities are evaluated by logical Pauli transfer matrices. The increasing focus on long-term time series prediction across various fields has been significantly strengthened by advancements in quantum computation. In this paper, we introduce a data-driven method designed for long-term time series prediction with quantum dynamical embedding (QDE). This approach enables a trainable embedding of the data space into an extended state space, allowing for the recursive retrieval of time series information. Based on its independence of time series length, this method achieves depth-efficient quantum circuits that are crucial for near-term quantum computers. Numerical simulations demonstrate the model's improved performance in prediction accuracy and resource efficiency over existing methods, as well as its effective denoising capabilities. We implement this model on the Origin ''Wukong'' superconducting quantum processor with a learnable error-cancellation layer (LECL) for error mitigation, further validating the practical applicability of our approach on near-term quantum devices. Furthermore, the theoretical analysis of the QDE's dynamical properties and its universality enhances its potential for time series prediction. The non-adiabatic geometric quantum computation (NGQC) has attracted a lot of attention for noise-resilient quantum control. However, previous implementations of NGQC require long evolution paths that make them more vulnerable to incoherent errors than their dynamical counterparts.In this work, we experimentally realize a universal short-path non-adiabatic geometric gate set (SPNGQC) with a 2-times shorter evolution path on a superconducting quantum processor. Characterizing with both quantum process tomography and randomized benchmarking methods, we report an average single-qubit gate fidelity of 99.86% and a two-qubit gate fidelity of 97.9%. Additionally, we demonstrate superior robustness of single-qubit SP-NGQC gate to Rabi frequency error in some certain parameter space by comparing their performance to those of the dynamical gates and the former NGQC gates., Comment: 15 pages, 11 figures

Predicting network dynamics based on data, a problem with broad applications, has been studied extensively in the past, but most existing approaches assume that the complete set of historical data from the whole network is available. This requirement presents a great challenge in applications, especially for large, distributed networks in the real world, where data collection is accomplished by many clients in a parallel fashion. Often, each client only has the time series data from a partial set of nodes and the client has access to only partial timestamps of the whole time series data and partial structure of the network. Due to privacy concerns or license related issues, the data collected by different clients cannot be shared. To accurately predict the network dynamics while protecting the privacy of different parties is a critical problem in the modern time. Here, we propose a solution based on federated graph neural networks (FGNNs) that enables the training of a global dynamic model for all parties without data sharing. We validate the working of our FGNN framework through two types of simulations to predict a variety of network dynamics (four discrete and three continuous dynamics). As a significant real-world application, we demonstrate successful prediction of State-wise influenza spreading in the USA. Measurement for qubits plays a key role in quantum computation. Current methods for classifying states of single qubit in a superconducting multi-qubit system produce fidelities lower than expected due to the existence of crosstalk, especially in case of frequency crowding. Here, We make the digital signal processing (DSP) system used in measurement into a shallow neural network and train it to be an optimal classifier to reduce the impact of crosstalk. The experiment result shows the crosstalk-induced readout error deceased by 100% after a 3-second optimization applied on the 6-qubit superconducting quantum chip.
