Background Patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) face a significant risk of long-term major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs). Accurate early risk stratification is crucial for managing post-PCI MACEs in STEMI patients, as highlighted in clinical guidelines. Existing risk scoring systems, including the Age, Creatinine, and Ejection Fraction (ACEF) score, Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) score, Zwolle score, Primary Angioplasty in Myocardial Infarction (PAMI) score, and Controlled Abciximab and Device Investigation to Lower Late Angioplasty Complications (CADILLAC) score, vary in their predictive utility for the long-term prognosis post-PCI in STEMI patients. Objective This study aims to analyze the risk factors for long-term MACEs post-PCI in STEMI patients in China and compare the predictive value of the commonly used ACEF, TIMI, Zwolle, PAMI, and CADILLAC risk scoring systems. Methods A retrospective cohort of 687 STEMI patients who underwent their first PCI between June 2016 and June 2020 at Gansu Provincial Hospital was selected. Patient demographics, laboratory, and imaging results were collected, and risk scores were assigned using the ACEF, TIMI, Zwolle, PAMI, and CADILLAC systems. Patients were followed up annually via phone or clinic visits until August 2023, with a focus on the occurrence of MACEs. Multivariable Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the factors influencing the occurrence of MACEs post-PCI. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for the different risk scoring systems were plotted, and their areas under the curve (AUC) were compared using the DeLong test. Results Out of the 687 patients who underwent PCI, 44 were excluded due to incomplete data, leaving 643 for analysis. The median follow-up period was 37 (range 25-49) months. By the end of the follow-up, 134 patients had experienced MACEs, representing a 20.8% incidence rate. The MACEs group differed significantly from the non-MACEs group in terms of age, hospital stay duration, Killip class, N-terminal pro b-type natriuretic peptide, fibrinogen, anemia, left ventricular ejection fraction, estimated glomerular filtration rate, and creatinine levels (P0.05) . Conclusion Hospital stay duration, creatinine levels, fibrinogen, left ventricular ejection fraction, and valvular regurgitation status are significant factors affecting the occurrence of long-term MACEs post-PCI in STEMI patients. While all five risk scoring systems—ACEF, TIMI, Zwolle, PAMI, and CADILLAC—can predict the occurrence of long-term MACEs in these patients, the CADILLAC score is recommended for its distinctiveness and sensitivity.

Southwest China is extremely rich in fungal resources, and a large number of new taxa have been discovered in recent years. In the present study, we examined 26 specimens of the genera Hydnum and Lentaria sensu lato, most of which were obtained in Yunnan Province. Through ITS-nrLSU-tef1 phylogenetic analysis, combined with morphological studies and geographic analyses, five new species were described, viz. H. cremeum (奶油齿菌), H. flavoquamosum (黄鳞齿菌), H. roseoalbum (粉白齿菌), H. roseotangerinum (粉橙齿菌), and L. subalpina (亚高山木瑚菌). Furthermore, we also supplied new information on some known species, including host plants and new distribution records. We re-examined the holotype sequences of two known taxa, H. flabellatum and H. pallidomarginatum, treating H. flabellatum as a synonym of H. pallidomarginatum. The operation condition of axle-box bearings strongly affects the running safety of vehicles. However, the presence of rail welds can impact the wheel-rail interaction system, causing changes in the dynamic response of axle-box bearings and furtherly affecting their health condition. Despite this, there is still a lack of discussion and analysis on the effect of rail welds on dynamic characteristics of axle-box bearings. Therefore, a vehicle-track coupling dynamics model is developed. Besides the rigid vehicle model, flexible track model and wheel-rail contact model, the axle-box bearing model and flexible wheelset model are considered. Among them, the axle-box bearing model accounts for the motion of the roller and cage decentralized into multiple segments. Using modal superposition method, the flexible deformation of the wheelset is calculated and overlapped with its rigid displacement for the flexible wheelset model. The performance of the model is verified through theoretical analysis and field tests. It is crucial to consider the wheelset as flexible in the presence of rail welds and its effects are also researched. Moreover, the effect of the rail weld geometry on the wheel-rail separation is studied, and the consequence caused by rail welds on the bearing damage is discussed under different vehicle speeds. Zn metal anode is desired for aqueous batteries due to its high capacity and low redox potential. However, uneven Zn deposition and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) have hindered the electrochemical reversibility and stability. Herein, an artificial solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) composed of metal center incorporated siloxane coupling with fluoride is in situ generated on Zn surface by a facile “etching–coating” process. This SZ‐SEI provides interaction sites with Zn2+, which helps with its desolvation at the interface and enlarges the transference number. Uniform Zn deposition underneath the layer is thus realized. Meanwhile, the SZ‐component hinders the adsorption of hydrogen atom and effectively suppresses HER. Thanks to the above effects, the cycle life of symmtric cells with SZ‐Zn electrodes extends to 2200 and 1400 h at the current densities of 10 and 20 mA cm−2, respectively. The coulombic efficiency of Zn plating/stripping also reaches 99.8% for 3800 cycles. In addition, the SZ‐Zn anode enables better rate capability and cycling stability of full cells. We aimed to explore simple and effective clinical parameters or combinations to predict coronary artery dilation and aneurysm formation in pediatric patients with Kawasaki disease (KD). This retrospective cohort study included pediatric patients with KD from January, 2013 to December, 2022. Multiple demographic and clinical data were collected, collated, and calculated from the medical records. Then they were divided into the coronary artery dilation and aneurysm formation group or the non-coronary artery dilation and aneurysm formation group. Lymphocyte-C-reactive protein ratio (LCR) was transformed into its natural logarithm and expressed as lnLCR. A total of 64 pediatric patients with KD were enrolled in this cohort study after 1:3 propensity score matching (PSM). For each unit increase in lnLCR, the possibility of coronary artery dilation and aneurysm formation decreased to 0.419 times the original value. The areas under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves of lnLCR combined with albumin (ALB), ALB, and lnLCR to classify pediatric patients with KD into the coronary artery dilation and aneurysm formation group were 0.781, 0.692, and 0.743, respectively. LCR combined with ALB upon admission is a promising predictor of coronary artery dilation and aneurysm formation in pediatric patients with KD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A modified vertical braiding machine and closed annular axis mandrels with a special-shaped cross section were used to braid annular axis preforms under four different technical parameters. After measuring the braiding angles and yarn spacing of the braided preform in different areas of the mandrels, it was found that the braiding angle increased by 20.9% and the yarn spacing decreased by 19.8% when the speed of the yarn carrier was doubled. The braiding angle decreased by 31.1% and the yarn spacing increased by 28.6% when the rotation speed of the mandrels was doubled. The results show that the rotation speed of the mandrel has a slightly greater influence on the braiding angle and the yarn spacing. By using the modified braiding machine to braid the annular axis preforms, multi-layer continuous braided preforms can be achieved on compact equipment. And the structure of the annular axis braided preforms can be changed by changing the technical parameters.
