OBJECTIVE: To explore the discriminatory diagnostic value of multimodal ultrasound(US) combined with blood cell analysis (BCA) for Granulomatous Lobular Mastitis (GLM) and Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) of the breast. METHODS: A total of 157 breast disease patients were collected and divided into two groups based on postoperative pathological results: the GLM group (57 cases with 57 lesions) and the IDC group (100 cases with 100 lesions). Differences in multimodal ultrasound features and the presence of BCA were compared between the two groups. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to calculate the optimal cutoff values, sensitivity, specificity, 95% confidence interval (CI), and the area under the curve (AUC) for patient age, lesion size, lesion resistive index (RI), and white blood cell (WBC) count in BCA. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, diagnostic accuracy, and AUC were calculated for different diagnostic methods. RESULTS: There were statistically significant differences (P < 0.05) observed between GLM and IDC patients in terms of age, breast pain, the factors in Conventional US (lesion size, RI, nipple delineation, solitary/multiple lesions, margin, liquefaction area, growth direction, microcalcifications, posterior echogenicity and abnormal axillary lymph nodes), the factors in CEUS (contrast agent enhancement intensity, enhancement pattern, enhancement range, and crab-like enhancement) and the factors in BCA (white blood cells, neutrophils, lymphocytes and monocytes). ROC curve analysis results showed that the optimal cutoff values for distinguishing GLM from IDC were 40.5 years for age, 7.15 cm for lesion size, 0.655 for lesion RI, and 10.525*109/L for white blood cells. The diagnostic accuracy of conventional US combined with CEUS (US-CEUS) was the highest (97.45%). The diagnostic performance AUCs for US-CEUS, CEUS, and US were 0.965, 0.921 and 0.832, respectively. CONCLUSION: Multifactorial analysis of multimodal ultrasound features and BCA had high clinical application value in the differential diagnosis of GLM and IDC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Didymodon Hedw., with approximately 140 species in the family Pottiaceae, is distributed nearly throughout the world, with the greatest diversity and important ecological functions in drought lands and alpine ecosystems. Several studies involving morphology, molecular systematics, and macro‐systematic analysis have addressed the infrageneric classification of Didymodon, but controversy over the position of the infrageneric and species classification remains due to its high degree of morphological variation in micro‐habitats and strong sensitivity to climate change at regional and global scale. To date, only a few phylogenetic studies have been conducted with an incomplete number of Didymodon species; further, there is no study published regarding the divergence time of Didymodon. Consequently, we conducted a comprehensive phylogenetic analysis of Didymodon species, sampling a total of 107 species, based on one nuclear (ITS) and five chloroplast DNA. Moreover, divergence time analysis was conducted to infer the age of origin and divergence of Didymodon species. Our results presented the largest scale phylogenetic relationship of Didymodon to date and resolved the phylogenetic status of some controversial taxa and the new species. The divergence time estimation showed that Didymodon species originated around the early Cretaceous, and the diversification was concentrated in the Cretaceous and Eocene. Paleoclimate and environmental change have a direct impact on the origin and divergence of Didymodon species by shaping their morphology, resource availability and ecological niche. Our study will help understand species origin and speciation of Didymodon as well as reflecting species adaptability and experience to historical events. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to study the influence of lay-up angles on mechanical properties of carbon/kevlar hybrid fiber composite for helmet shell, eight laminates with carbon fiber fabric unidirectional orientation of 0°,5°,12°, 32°,45°,75°, 80°, 85° were designed and prepared on the basis of the measured angle of the fabric on the helmet surface of ultima layer, using the RTM process. The effect of lay-up angle on the tensile and bending properties of composites was studied. The results show that the tensile strength and modulus of the samples reached the maximum value at 0°, which were 88.16% and 103.42% higher than those of the samples at 45° respectively. The bending strength and modulus reached a maximum at 0°, which were 34.88% and 43.97% higher than those of the samples at 32° respectively. The tensile strength and modulus, bending strength and modulus decrease first and then increase with the increase of the lay-up angle. The tensile fracture of the specimen varies with the lamination angle, and the failure modes mainly include matrix cracking, fiber fracture and pull-out. The bending failure modes mainly include matrix cracking along the warp direction. This work provides a basis for studying the mechanical properties of the local area of composite helmet housing.
