Background: The introduction of the robotic platform to bariatric surgery has brought forth a novel approach. The purpose of this research was to study the advantages and disadvantages of the combination modes of the robotic arm and laparoscopic instruments in robot-assisted sleeve gastrectomy (RASG). Methods: 9 The clinical data of 12 patients who underwent RASG in the first affiliated hospital of shandong first medical university from December 2019 to September 2020 were analyzed. According to the different combination modes of laparoscopic instruments and robotic arms, they were divided into two groups: the “4 ​+ ​1″ group (n ​= ​6) and the “3 ​+ ​2” group (n ​= ​6). Results: This study evaluated a total of 12 patients. There were no statistically significant differences in patient demographics characteristics and co-morbid disease. The mean operating time (125.3 ​± ​6.5min in 4 ​+ ​1 versus 127 ​± ​8.3min in 3 ​+ ​2, P ​= ​0.601), length of hospital stay (6.3 ​± ​1.0 ​d in 4 ​+ ​1 versus 5.6 ​± ​1.9 ​d in 3 ​+ ​2, P ​= ​0.221),intraoperative blood loss (31.6 ​± ​9.8 ​ml in 4 ​+ ​1 versus 28.3 ​± ​11.7 ​ml in 3 ​+ ​2, P ​= ​0.713), hospital costs (72487.6 ​± ​1135.1 yuan in 4 ​+ ​1 versus 73433.8 ​± ​5301.5 yuan in 3 ​+ ​2, P ​= ​0.12), excess Weight Loss (EWL)% at 1 month after operation (12.4 ​± ​1.9 in 4 ​+ ​1 versus 13.3 ​± ​2.4 in 3 ​+ ​2, P ​= ​0.634)did not differ between the two groups. Conclusions: Two modes are both feasible and safe for RASG. The surgeon can choose one mode to perform the operation according to the situation of his team.

The average winding temperature of a transformer (AWTT), serving as a key indicator for assessing the running state of the transformer, is of utmost importance in determining a transformer's electrical properties and the insulation longevity of the transformer. An accurate prediction of AWTT is essential for ensuring the safe operation of the transformer. A novel method for predicting AWTT is introduced based on the analysis of field monitoring data. Firstly, the thermal characteristics and operational mechanisms of oil-immersed transformers are examined. Secondly, a factor analysis model is developed to streamline the network structure, accounting for the strong correlations among ambient temperature, load current, and top oil temperature. Thirdly, the independent temperature factor and load factor are extracted as pivotal features, and then input into the fully connected neural network to predict AWTT. Through a case study involving a 110 kV/10 kV oil-immersed transformer, the results show that the proposed method reduces redundant correlation information compared to traditional methods and improves the prediction accuracy of AWTT, establishing a foundation for further transformer state assessments. Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder distinguished by a swift cognitive deterioration accompanied by distinctive pathological hallmarks such as extracellular Aβ (β‐amyloid) peptides, neuronal neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs), sustained neuroinflammation, and synaptic degeneration. The elevated frequency of AD cases and its proclivity to manifest at a younger age present a pressing challenge in the quest for novel therapeutic interventions. Numerous investigations have substantiated the involvement of C/EBPβ in the progression of AD pathology, thus indicating its potential as a therapeutic target for AD treatment. Aims: Several studies have demonstrated an elevation in the expression level of C/EBPβ among individuals afflicted with AD. Consequently, this review predominantly delves into the association between C/EBPβ expression and the pathological progression of Alzheimer's disease, elucidating its underlying molecular mechanism, and pointing out the possibility that C/EBPβ can be a new therapeutic target for AD. Methods: A systematic literature search was performed across multiple databases, including PubMed, Google Scholar, and so on, utilizing predetermined keywords and MeSH terms, without temporal constraints. The inclusion criteria encompassed diverse study designs, such as experimental, case–control, and cohort studies, restricted to publications in the English language, while conference abstracts and unpublished sources were excluded. Results: Overexpression of C/EBPβ exacerbates the pathological features of AD, primarily by promoting neuroinflammation and mediating the transcriptional regulation of key molecular pathways, including δ‐secretase, apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4), acidic leucine‐rich nuclear phosphoprotein‐32A (ANP32A), transient receptor potential channel 1 (TRPC1), and Forkhead BoxO (FOXO). Discussion: The correlation between overexpression of C/EBPβ and the pathological development of AD, along with its molecular mechanisms, is evident. Investigating the pathways through which C/EBPβ regulates the development of AD reveals numerous multiple vicious cycle pathways exacerbating the pathological progression of the disease. Furthermore, the exacerbation of pathological progression due to C/EBPβ overexpression and its molecular mechanism is not limited to AD but also extends to other neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease (PD), and multiple sclerosis (MS). Conclusion: The overexpression of C/EBPβ accelerates the irreversible progression of AD pathophysiology. Additionally, C/EBPβ plays a crucial role in mediating multiple pathways linked to AD pathology, some of which engender vicious cycles, leading to the establishment of feedback mechanisms. To sum up, targeting C/EBPβ could hold promise as a therapeutic strategy not only for AD but also for other degenerative diseases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
