For studying operational and organizational systems, modeling and simulation tools are becoming increasingly relevant. It is possible to build a lot of systems and study their behavior, which saves a lot of effort, time, and cost, where it cannot or difficult to study its behavior in the real world. There are many frameworks to implement modeling and simulation using a computer. in this paper DEVS-Suite for discrete events is used to implement a simulation of cargo unloading problem which represents a study on estimating the optimal number of trucks and cranes required in process of unloading goods and according to some determinants. The duration of the simulation is one month which is equivalent to 43,200 minutes. Based on the performance measures that were adopted in this study, the optimal number of trucks and cranes is 5 out of three assumptions of 3, 5, and 10, where the work will be in a permanent state of work and high productivity.

Hizmet kalitesi literatüründe; hizmet kalitesi, müşteri memnuniyeti ve müşteri sadakati arasındaki ilişkiler yaygın olarak ortaya konulmuş olmakla birlikte bir işletmenin sürdürülebilir bir rekabet avantajına sahip olması için en değerli maddi olmayan varlığı olan kurumsal itibarı ile bu üç yapı arasındaki ilişkileri bir arada inceleyen sınırlı ampirik çalışma bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada bir yükseköğretim kurumundaki e-öğrenme hizmet kalitesi, öğrenci memnuniyeti, kurumsal itibar ve öğrenci bağlılığı arasındaki ilişkiler araştırılmaktadır. Araştırmanın problemine yanıt aramak üzere literatürle uyumlu bir yapısal eşitlik modeli kurulmuştur. Bulgular uzaktan eğitim hizmet kalitesi ile öğrenci memnuniyeti; öğrenci memnuniyeti ile öğrenci bağlılığı ve öğrenci memnuniyeti ile kurumsal itibar arasında doğrudan anlamlı güçlü bir ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir. Uzaktan eğitim hizmet kalitesi ile öğrenci bağlılığı ve kurumsal itibar arasındaki ilişkide ise öğrenci memnuniyetinin aracı rol oynadığı bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak öğrenci bağlılığı ve kurumsal itibarını artırmak isteyen uzaktan eğitim hizmeti veren yükseköğretim kurumları öğrenci memnuniyetini artıracak çalışmalara odaklanmalıdır.

Günümüzde yollardaki araç sayısı arttıkça trafik güvenliğinin önemi de artmaktadır. Birden çok aracın karıştığı trafik kazaları sürücü ve yolcuların hayatını tehdit etmektedir. Takograf kullanımı zorunlu olan kamyon, otobüs gibi ağır vasıta araçlar, trafik kazalarında daha fazla ölüm, yaralanma ve maddi kayıplara yol açmaktadır. Geleneksel takograflar dönüş ve şerit değişiklikleri gibi yanal manevraların şiddetiyle ilgili herhangi bir bilgi vermemektedir. Agresif sürücü davranışlarının trafik kazaları ve yakıt tüketimine etkisi önemli boyutlarda olabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada ivmeölçer ve jiroskop verilerini kullanarak sürücü davranışını tespit etmek ve derecelendirmek için yeni bir algoritma tasarlanmış ve yeni bir takograf cihazı geliştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla, yanal manevraların algılanması için takograf cihazına düşük maliyetli bir IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensör modülü eklenmiştir. Sağa-sola dönüşler ve şerit değişiklikleri manevralarını yüksek hassasiyetle tespit etmek için öncelikle jiroskop-Z verileri ile olayların kenarları yakalanır ve başlangıç ve bitiş noktaları belirlenir. Ardından aralıktaki ivmeölçer-X, jiroskop-Z ve hız verilerini bir formülle birleştirilerek yanal manevraları puanlayan yeni bir algoritma önerilmiştir. Yapılan testlerde algoritmanın dönüşlerin algılanmasında %100, şerit değişikliklerinde %88 doğruluğa yaklaştığı gözlemlenmiştir., Today, as the number of vehicles on the roads increases, the importance of traffic safety increases. Traffic accidents involving more than one vehicle threaten the lives of drivers and passengers. Heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks and buses, for which the use of tachographs is mandatory, cause more deaths, injuries and financial losses in traffic accidents. Conventional tachographs do not provide any information on the severity of lateral maneuvers such as turns and lane changes. The effects of aggressive driver behaviors on traffic accidents and fuel consumption can be significant. In this study, a new algorithm was designed and a new tachograph device was developed to detect and rate driver behavior using accelerometer and gyroscope data. For this purpose, a low-cost IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor module has been added to the tachograph device to detect lateral maneuvers. In order to detect right-left turn and lane change maneuvers with high precision, first the edges of the events are captured with the gyroscope-Z data and the start and end points are determined. Then, a new algorithm that scores lateral maneuvers is proposed by combining the accelerometer-X, gyroscope-Z and speed data in the range with a formula. In the tests performed, it was observed that the algorithm approached 100% accuracy in detecting turns and 88% accuracy in lane changes.

OBJECTIVE The goal of this article was to assess the effects and consequences of strict measures in radiation oncology centers in northeastern Turkey during the coronavirus disease-2019 pandemic and to ensure that the reorganization of programs occurred without interruption to radiotherapy (RT). METHODS We retrospectively reviewed the records of 1063 patients (median age 63 years; range 3-93 years) who were treated in RI centers from March 2020 to March 2021. The study cohort was divided into two groups: Group A consisted of patients who received RT in the first 6 months and Group B comprised patients who received RT in the second 6 months. RESULTS The age distribution was similar in both groups. The analysis of the intent of treatment showed that 585 (55%) patients were treated with a radical intent in Group A, whereas only 478 (45%) were treated with a radical intent in Group B. Lung, breast, and genitourinary cancers were the most common cancer types in both periods. There was a significant decline in the number of female patients in Group B. Test results of 31 (2.9%) patients, 8 (25.8%) women and 23 (74.2%) men, who had nasopharyngeal swabs, were positive. CONCLUSION This study shows that oncology patients in our region are more worried about disease progression than the pandemic and insist on going to RT, especially during the first 6-month period when the pandemic was thought to be temporary. As a result of careful precautions, treatments in the clinics continued without contamination.
