To accelerate the construction of secure, green, and intelligent granaries and to enhance the level of modern management, green grain storage technologies have ushered in new developments under the backdrop of technological empowerment and the vigorous development of new production forces. This study took Wuhan National Rice Trading Center Co., Ltd. as an example reviewed and evaluated three new temperature control technologies, including photovoltaic off grid power supply technology air conditioning system, vertical thermal cortex temperature control technology in grain silos, zero energy radiation refrigeration technology, and three new insect control and insecticidal technologies by using spinosad, S-methoprene or food grade inert powder. Additionally, it was recommended to take the thermal insulation and cold insulation measures of the warehouse as the basis for the transformation of quasi low temperature warehouses, and use green grain storage technologies as the main means, such as air conditioning temperature control technology or modified atmosphere storage technology. The above new green grain storage technologies should be comprehensively applied to meet the requirements of quasi low temperature grain storage, non-fumigation grain storage, and smart grain storage. This study aimed to provide relevant references for grain storage enterprises to carry out research on the application of green grain storage new technologies.

Background Hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH) is a life-threatening disease and lacks effective treatments. Previous studies have confirmed that metabolic profiles altered after ischemic stroke, but how brain metabolism changes after HICH was unclear. This study aimed to explore the metabolic profiles after HICH and the therapeutic effects of soyasaponin I on HICH. Methods HICH model was established first. Hematoxylin and eosin staining was used to estimate the pathological changes after HICH. Western blot and Evans blue extravasation assay were applied to determine the integrity of the blood–brain barrier (BBB). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the activation of the renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system (RAAS). Next, liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry-untargeted metabolomics was utilized to analyze the metabolic profiles of brain tissues after HICH. Finally, soyasaponin I was administered to HICH rats, and the severity of HICH and activation of the RAAS were further assessed. Results We successfully constructed HICH model. HICH significantly impaired BBB integrity and activated RAAS. HICH increased PE(14:0/24:1(15Z)), arachidonoyl serinol, PS(18:0/22:6(4Z, 7Z, 10Z, 13Z, 16Z, and 19Z)), PS(20:1(11Z)/20:5(5Z, 8Z, 11Z, 14Z, and 17Z)), glucose 1-phosphate, etc., in the brain, whereas decreased creatine, tripamide, D-N-(carboxyacetyl)alanine, N-acetylaspartate, N-acetylaspartylglutamic acid, and so on in the hemorrhagic hemisphere. Cerebral soyasaponin I was found to be downregulated after HICH and supplementation of soyasaponin I inactivated the RAAS and alleviated HICH. Conclusion The metabolic profiles of the brains changed after HICH. Soyasaponin I alleviated HICH via inhibiting the RAAS and may serve as an effective drug for the treatment of HICH in the future.

Material losses and gains are generally unavoidable in isotope separation cascades because of air leakage into the cascade and chemical reactions of the materials in contact with the process gas. Both losses and gains are incorporated into the well-known Q-cascade theory and can be considered differently for each component. The theory is applied, as an example, to investigating the separation of natural uranium to produce low-enriched uranium of 5% 235U, in which UF6 incurs material losses, generating the light impurity hydrogen fluoride (HF). Two approaches are discussed, one using a carrier gas and another purging the light impurity to prevent the light impurity from exceeding the upper limit in the cascade product end for safe cascade operation. The results show that using carrier gas increases the relative total flow of the cascade, whereas purging the light impurity requires the development of a purging technology. The investigation presents a complicated but real practical scenario, where the components of different physical and chemical properties (some with and without material losses, and some with gains) all appear in the process gas, and demonstrates the applicability of the theory in the study of separation cascades. Objectives Mechanisms of non-typhoidal Salmonella (NTS) resistance to azithromycin have rarely been reported. Here we investigate the epidemiology and genetic features of 10 azithromycin-resistant NTS isolates. Methods A total of 457 NTS isolates were collected from a tertiary hospital in Guangzhou. We performed antimicrobial susceptibility tests, conjugation experiments, efflux pump expression tests, whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatics analysis to conduct the study. Results The results showed that 10 NTS isolates (2.8%) were resistant to azithromycin with minimum inhibitory concentration values ranging from 128 to 512 mg/L and exhibited multidrug resistance. The phylogenetic tree revealed that 5 S. London isolates (AR1–AR5) recognized at different times and departments were closely related [3–74 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)] and 2 S. Typhimurium isolates (AR7 and AR8) were clones (<3 SNPs) at 3-month intervals. The azithromycin resistance was conferred by mph (A) gene found on different plasmids, including IncFIB, IncHI2, InFII, IncC and IncI plasmids. Among them, IncFIB, InFII and IncHI2 plasmids carried different IS 26 -class 1 integron (intI1) arrangement patterns that mediated multidrug resistance transmission. Conjugative IncC plasmid encoded resistance to ciprofloxacin, ceftriaxone and azithromycin. Furthermore, phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that mph (A)-positive plasmids closely related to 10 plasmids in this study were mainly discovered from NTS, Escherichia coli , Klebsiella pneumonia and Enterobacter hormaechei. The genetic environment of mph (A) in 10 NTS isolates was IS 26 - mph (A)- mrx (A)- mphR (A)-IS 6100 /IS 26 that co-arranged with intI1 harbour multidrug-resistant (MDR) gene cassettes on diverse plasmids. Conclusions These findings highlighted that the dissemination of these plasmids carrying mph (A) and various intI1 MDR gene cassettes would seriously restrict the availability of essential antimicrobial agents for treating NTS infections. Objective: To evaluate the vascular impedance of the pulmonary arteries in fetuses with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) by Doppler echocardiography. Methods: A total of 42 fetuses with TOF (TOF group) and 84 gestational age‐matched normal fetuses (control group) were prospectively collected from the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from August 2022 to January 2023. The severity of TOF was classified into mild TOF (z score ≥−2), moderate TOF (−4 < z score < −2), or severe TOF (z score ≤−4) according to the z score value of the pulmonary annulus diameter. The pulsatility index (PI) of the main pulmonary artery (MPA), distal left pulmonary artery (DLPA), and distal right pulmonary artery (DRPA) were measured by pulsed‐wave Doppler. The differences in clinical data and echocardiographic parameters between TOF group, control group, and TOF subgroups were compared. Results: Compared with the control group, MPA‐PI increased significantly, whereas DLPA‐PI and DRPA‐PI decreased in TOF group (all P <.001). There were no significant differences in MPA‐PI and DRPA‐PI among mild TOF, moderate TOF, and severe TOF (all P >.05). However, DLPA‐PI decreased significantly in severe TOF compared with mild TOF (P <.05). Conclusion: Fetuses with TOF presented increased vascular impedance in the pulmonary trunk and decreased impedance in distal pulmonary artery branches. Further large and follow‐up studies are needed to demonstrate the associations between those changed vascular impedances and the development of PA in patients with TOF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bellow is key component of a supercritical gas centrifuge, which has changed the construction of the rotor’s wall and impacted the flow field inside the rotor. In order to analyze the impact of the bellow on the flow field in a gas centrifuge, numerical simulations have been carried out for flow fields with an inner bellow and an outer bellow respectively. The simulations of the flow field are based on the uni-connected hydraulic model and the Iguassu centrifuge model, and 2-D N-S equations are criticized and solved on the staggered grid by a homotopic method and the Newton iteration method. The simulation results show that the outer bellow has almost no effect on circulation flow, but allowable radial height of the outer bellow is very small in order to avoid the possible condensation of the UF6 gas when keeping the waste withdrawal pressure constant. In addition, the inner bellow blocks circulation flow and results in the decrease of the separative power. According to the pareto analysis, the radial height of the inner bellow is the major impacting factor. Another result shows that, when the waste withdrawal pressure is constant, the radial height of the inner bellow is larger, the cut and the separative power is lower. In conclusion, during the design process of a supercritical gas centrifuge with inner bellows, it is necessary to properly design the radial height of the inner bellow to both lower the loss of separative power and ensure an achievable proper cut under safe working conditions.

There are possibilities of using cascades with multiple feeds and withdrawals to meet the needs of complicated separation tasks for a better separation results. The analysis of cascades with multiple feeds and withdrawals is much more difficult than conventional three-stream cascades. The difficulties can be greatly mitigated if an analytical mathematical description is provided. For multiply sectioned Q-model cascade of continuous profile with multiple feeds and withdrawals, the equations describing the distributions of cascade flows and component concentrations are derived. The solution of the equations and optimization of cascade are discussed.

A concentration equation that describes the mass transfer in transient processes is required for analyzing the separation in transient processes of a gas centrifuge. It is desirable that the equation is simple but is able to reflect the characteristics in transient separation processes to avoid heavy numerical computation. A partial differential equation governing the axial distribution of concentrations in a gas centrifuge is derived from the general equation of mass transfer at unsteady state based on the axial averaging approach. By employing the variable density isothermal rigid body model, the equation is further simplified and analyzed. The dispersion mass source/sink introduced as the result of the model is handled during the simplification to make the concentration solvable.
