Након прегледа досадашњих резултата дисциплинарног укрштања феминистичких студија периодике и студија авангарде у домаћим академским истраживањима, важност овог укрштања у раду показује се на примеру укључивања занемарене периодичне грађе у обликовањe наратива о авангарди југословенске револуционарне омладине. Истраживање часописа Босанска вила, као и информативно-политичке (Пијемонт) и женске штапе (Домаћица) до Првог светског рата с феминистичких позиција омогућава да се у наратив о првој јужнословенској авангарди укључи женско ауторство као његов конститутивни елемент. Ова теза аргументована је публицистичко-есејистичким текстовима, активистичким деловањем и уметничком праксом Надежде Петровић, Исидоре Секулић и Маге Магазиновић.

Background: Liquid biopsy (LB) analysis using (ctDNA)/cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is an emerging alternative to tissue profiling in (NSCLC). LB is used to guide treatment decisions, detect resistance mechanisms, and predicts responses, and, therefore, outcomes. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the impact of LB quantification on clinical outcomes in molecularly altered advanced NSCLC undergoing targeted therapies. Methods: We searched Embase, MEDLINE, PubMed, and Cochrane Database, between 1 January 2020 and 31 August 2022. The primary outcome was progression-free survival (PFS). Secondary outcomes included overall survival (OS), objective response rate (ORR), sensitivity, and specificity. Age stratification was performed based on the mean age of the individual study population. The quality of studies was assessed using the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale (NOS). Results: A total of 27 studies (3419 patients) were included in the analysis. Association of baseline ctDNA with PFS was reported in 11 studies (1359 patients), while that of dynamic changes with PFS was reported in 16 studies (1659 patients). Baseline ctDNA-negative patients had a trend towards improved PFS (pooled hazard ratio [pHR] = 1.35; 95%CI: 0.83–1.87; p < 0.001; I2 = 96%) than ctDNA-positive patients. Early reduction/clearance of ctDNA levels after treatment was related to improved PFS (pHR = 2.71; 95%CI: 1.85–3.65; I2 = 89.4%) compared to those with no reduction/persistence in ctDNA levels. The sensitivity analysis based on study quality (NOS) demonstrated improved PFS only for good [pHR = 1.95; 95%CI: 1.52–2.38] and fair [pHR = 1.99; 95%CI: 1.09–2.89] quality studies, but not for poor quality studies. There was, however, a high level of heterogeneity (I2 = 89.4%) along with significant publication bias in our analysis. Conclusions: This large systematic review, despite heterogeneity, found that baseline negative ctDNA levels and early reduction in ctDNA following treatment could be strong prognostic markers for PFS and OS in patients undergoing targeted therapies for advanced NSCLC. Future randomised clinical trials should incorporate serial ctDNA monitoring to further establish the clinical utility in advanced NSCLC management.

У раду је представљен стваралачки ангажман Стоје Кашиковић и Анушке Мицић, ауторки које су учествовале у обликовању авангардног дискурса и продукцији часописа Босанска вила и Зенит. Осветљавање њихових уредничких фигура предложак је за дискутовање о важним методолошким питањима и хеуристичким оквирима који проистичу из интердисциплинарног укрштања студија авангарде и феминистичких студија: концепти недискурзивног и колаборативног ауторства, хронологија авангарде на овим просторима, суодноса политичког и уметничког ангажмана авангардисткиња и авангардиста, те политике места авангардне праксе/авангардних студија. О суодносу политичког и уметничког ангажмана ће се дискутовати и на примеру Надежде Петровић и Исидоре Секулић, чији рад обједињује заједничка платформа у којој се укрштају феминистичке идеологеме и југонационализам револуционарне омладине.

Интензивни развој феминистичких студија периодике на домаћој академској сцени уноси нову динамику у књижевне студије, а посебно се иновативношћу издвајају истраживања у области авангардних студија. Истраживања авангардне књижевности у контексту феминистичких и родних теоријско-методолошких полазишта доносе важна померања на многим, међусобно условљеним плановима: проширује се предметно поље изучавања, постојећи књижевно-историографски концепти се ревидирају и преобликују, те се формирају нова истраживачка тежишта. У фокусу досадашњих истраживања авангарде из родне/феминистичке перспективе била је фигура авангардне списатељице.

PURPOSE: The study aim is to assess confounding and effect measure modification of the relationship between head injury severity (measured using the Glasgow Coma Scale [GCS]) and mortality by age and multiple organ injury (measured using the Injury Severity Score [ISS]). Head injury-related mortality is affected by head injury severity, as well as age and multiple organ injury. However, little is known about the effect modification of these relationships. METHODS: Stratifications and multiple logistic regression analyses examined the association of mortality with GCS score less than 9, controlled for ISS of 16 and higher or age of 55 years and older. Receiver operating curve (ROC) analyses were used to explore the relationship of GCS cutoff values and prediction of death by the ISS and age categories mentioned. RESULTS: Both age and ISS modified head injury mortality in a similar direction: there was a negative interaction between age and ISS and more severe head injury. Lower GCS values (indicating more severe head injury) related more strongly to mortality in younger persons. Lower GCS values related more strongly to mortality when extracranial injuries were less severe. These data indicate effect modification. Data indicate negative confounding of the association between GCS and mortality by age and positive confounding by ISS. Multivariate analyses indicate that only younger age modifies the effect of more severe head injury with statistical significance when both age and multiple organ injury are considered. ROC analyses conducted with stratified and logistic regression analyses indicate that GCS is a better predictor of death in those with younger age. CONCLUSIONS: The relationship of head injury severity and mortality is modified and confounded by age and ISS. GCS is a better predictor of death in younger patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Several studies have demonstrated the efficacy of hepatitis A virus (HAV) active vaccine in the prevention of secondary HAV infection when administered shortly after exposure.Methods: We describe six new recruits with unknown HAV infection, of whom three received late postexposure prophylaxis with the active HAV vaccine and three were not vaccinated.Results: Results indicated that the vaccinated patients had a longer period from exposure to onset of symptoms (p < 0.05), shorter hospitalization, and lower liver enzyme levels.Conclusions: It appears that late administration of the active HAV vaccine has a disease-modifying effect. Objectives: SARS-CoV-2 remains a global health concern 3 years after its emergence. Safe and effective vaccines mitigate the pandemic impact, but the optimal schedule remains unclear, especially in a context where a high proportion of the population is infected., Methods: We periodically measured anti-spike SARS-CoV-2 immunoglobulin (Ig)G titers using a quantitative assay in an Israeli healthcare worker cohort who all received at least two BNT162b2 doses and either received further doses and/or were subsequently infected up to 22 months after dose two, and compared geometric mean concentrations according to number of doses received and infection status using analysis of variance., Results: Among the 993 included participants, infection after dose two led to higher geometric mean concentration IgG titers than a third dose (4285 vs 2845 arbitrary unit/ml 1-2 months after infection/vaccination, P = 0.03). In 16-18 months after dose two, those infected and those who received three or four vaccine doses all had IgG geometric mean concentration levels above 500 arbitrary unit/ml with no significant differences among groups (P = 0.6). IgG levels plateaued 16-22 months after dose two., Conclusion: Three BNT162b2 doses provide long-term immunogenicity comparable to breakthrough infection after dose two. Background: We determined circulating anti-S severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody titers in a vaccinated healthcare workers (HCWs) cohort from Northern Israel in the 11 months following primary vaccination according to age, ethnicity, and previous infection status., Methods: All consenting HCWs were invited to have their IgG levels measured before vaccination and at 6 subsequent timepoints using a quantitative S1/S2 IgG assay. All HCWs with suspected coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tested. We described trends in circulating IgG geometric mean concentration (GMC) by age, ethnicity, timing of boosting, and previous infection status and compared strata using Kruskall-Wallis tests., Results: Among 985 vaccinated HCWs, IgG titers between 1 month post 2nd dose to pre-boosting gradually decreased in all age groups. Younger or previously infected individuals had higher initial post-vaccination IgG levels (P < .001 in both cases); differences substantially decreased or disappeared at 7-9 months, before boosting. The proportion of individuals infected prior to initiating vaccination and re-infected after dose 1 was comparable to the proportion of breakthrough infection post-dose 2 in those not previously infected (4.2 vs 4.7%). Pre-infection IgG levels in the 40 participants with breakthrough infection after dose 2 were similar to levels measured at the same timepoint in vaccinated HCWs who remained uninfected (P > .3). Post-dose3 IgG levels were more than 10-fold those 1 month post-dose 2., Conclusions: Immunity waned in all age groups and previously infected individuals, reversed by boosting. IgG titers decrease and reinfections in individuals with hybrid immunity (infection + vaccination) suggests they may also require further doses. Purpose: Since 2020, a SARS-COV2 epidemic has been raging worldwide. The cycle of the PCR test in which the virus is detected is called cycle threshold (CT). The method of obtaining the sample is not detailed in any published study and is based on general guidelines of the CDC. Our contention is that the manner in which the sample is obtained has a dramatic effect on CT values., Methods: For each person suspected of having Covid-19 who arrives at the emergency room, two swabs are taken in succession, one according to CDC guidelines and the other according to "Ziv" guidelines. The Ziv method sample collection guidelines determine the depth of penetration, the number of rotations of the swab, and their direction. Each double sample was sent for analysis., Results: Analysis of the CT results of the sample to results methods and of the Seegene platform clearly found (p = 0.003 and p = 0.001, respectively) that more rigorous sample collection yielded lower CT values., Conclusion: The method of obtaining the samples had a dramatic effect on CT results. Any publication that includes CT results, and certainly studies that discuss CT kinetics, must describe in detail the method by which the samples were obtained. In places where it is also important to detect the onset of illness (airports, hospitals, schools, etc.), it is important to use the Ziv method to reduce the risk of false negatives., (© 2022. Between December 2020 and March 2021, we measured anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG titres among 725 Israeli hospital workers vaccinated against COVID-19. Infection post-dose 1 vaccination did not increase IgG titres, and individuals infected post-dose 1 had IgG levels comparable to never-infected individuals who received a single dose, lower than fully vaccinated, never-infected individuals. This suggests dose 2, currently not offered to those infected post-dose 1, may be required in these individuals. Larger studies should confirm whether individuals infected post-dose 1 need the second.
