Industry 4.0, which was proposed ten years ago to address both the industry's strengths and faults, has finally been replaced by Industry 5.0. It seeks to put human welfare at the core of manufacturing systems, achieving societal goals beyond employment and growth to firmly provide wealth for the long-term advancement of all of humanity. The purpose of this research is to examine the risks involved in the adoption of Industry 5.0's architecture. The paper discusses the significance of Industry 5.0 and the advanced technology needed for this industrial revolution, followed by a detailed discussion of Industry 5.0's human-centric strategy. The comprehensive literature review has resulted in the identification of risks and their mitigation strategies in Industry 5.0 architecture. A taxonomy with respect to different categories of risks has also been proposed. This study classifies Industry 5.0 system assets, identifies platform-independent risks, and develops countermeasures to protect against potential threats, irrespective of the business or domain. In our research study spanning 2015-2021, we analyzed Software Engineering (SE) across 15 Knowledge Areas (KAs) outlined by SWEBoK. Using Web of Science (WoS) database, we examined 32,232 articles (2015-2017), 31,459 articles (2018-2020), and 6,919 articles (2021). Collaborative and co-word networks were generated using VOS Viewer. Our findings reveal SE's influence in 81 research areas. English dominated, but Spanish and Portuguese were notable. Europe led in publications, with USA and China prominent. Stronger collaboration networks, especially in the USA and China, correlated with increased research output. Asian countries' rise was evident from 2018-2021. Top 10 highly cited papers and co-word analysis were included, aiding researchers and educators. SE's impact crossed domains, enabling crossdisciplinary research and informing educators' course designs. Institutional and country productivity influenced partnerships and academia-industry collaborations. Multinational companies gauged research potential through active countries. Analyzing co-words depicted trends, and highly cited papers set industry standards. Bibliometric analysis offered qualitative and quantitative research evaluation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Software Engineering (SE) as a field has grown significantly in terms of the research publications in the last few years. Criterion‐based assessment of research performance of scholars, countries along with collaboration networks and links among articles are better judged using bibliometric analysis. The results proposed in this work are based on quantitative analysis and data visualisation of 150,087 scholarly articles published in last 13 years (2007–2019) across 85 research areas based on seven categories by providing a detailed and distinctive time‐frame‐based comparison to observe a shift in research trend in SE and its 12 distinguished sub‐areas. The results of the observations proposed in this work include analysis on types of documents, yearly publication trends with results suggesting a prominent increment for the period (2015–2017) in terms of research publications, languages of research publications with findings indicating that there are articles published in languages other than English language, also, publication count‐based rankings of authors, collaboration networks of countries with findings showing the supremacy of USA and China and keyword statistics. The Internet of Things (IoT) has been implemented by multiple manufacturing companies into their production chain as this technology is the main source of digitalization in a production plant. It improves the data assembling, productivity of the operation, communication efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance. IoT is also serves to be a good means for improved and efficient warehouse automation. It makes the delivery of products more efficient by calculating the least routes and also reduces the time that is consumed during the management of inventory. The basic objective of Industry 4.0 is to lessen the participation of human operators and to emphasize the automation systems. However, this objective has changed in Industry 5.0, which aims to achieve the maximum benefits through the human–machine interaction by maintaining a balance. Industry 5.0 aims to strengthen the interaction between ever-increasing powerful machinery and the productive abilities of human beings. This paper introduces a detailed overview of IoT in enabling digital transformations and Industry 4.0. The authors have discussed the application of IoT in different industrial sectors, and how the concept of IIoT has evolved. In addition to this, the present paper highlights several research studies that enable the authors to elicit the major challenges, implementation analysis, and future scope of IIoT. A computer can read and write multiple languages and today's computers are capable of understanding various human languages. A computer can be given instructions through various input methods but OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and handwritten character recognition are the input methods in which a scanned page containing text is converted into written or editable text. The change in language text available on scanned page demands different algorithm to recognize text because every language and script pose varying number of challenges to recognize text. The Latin language recognition pose less difficulties compared to Arabic script and languages that use Arabic script for writing and OCR systems for these Latin languages are near to perfection. Very little work has been done on regional languages of Pakistan. In this paper the Sindhi glyphs are identified and the number of characters and connected components are identified for this regional language of Pakistan. A graphical user interface has been created to perform identification task for glyphs and characters of Sindhi language. The glyphs of characters are successfully identified from scanned page and this information can be used to recognize characters. The language glyph identification can be used to apply suitable algorithm to identify language as well as to achieve a higher recognition rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Vision plays a paramount role in our everyday life and assists human in almost every walk of life. The people lacking vision sense require assistance to move freely. The inability of unassisted navigation and orientation in outdoor environments is one of the most important constraints for people with visual impairment. Motivated by this problem, we developed a simplified and user friendly navigation system that allows visually impaired pedestrians to reach their desired outdoor location. We designed a Braille keyboard to allow the blind user to input their destination. The proposed system makes use of Google Directions API (Application Program Interface) to generate the right path to a destination. The visually impaired pedestrians have to wear a vibration belt to keep them on the track. The evaluation exposes shortcomings of Google Directions API when used for navigating the visually impaired pedestrians in an outdoor environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pakistan energy demand has grown exponentially over the last 2 decades. Reason behind increasing energy demand is excessive mobility of rural population to cities, rapid progression in industrial and transport sector, lack of policy making and implementation on the developed policies and improvements in living style. At present, Pakistan witness 5000-7000 MW power deficit in summer. To reduce the demand and supply gap, power plants across Pakistan are planned to be installed while some are under development phase. Power expansion plans cannot cope with the current energy shortfall since several years are required for them to get fully operational. Effective energy policy is the only key to address the existing shortfall. This paper discusses the initiatives that may be taken to reduce the power shortfall using energy efficiency and conservation, deployment of microgrids, utilization of renewable energy resources and effective research and development in energy sector. Since another most important issue evaluated in the research regarding the energy crises is energy efficiency and lack of compliance to government regulations for energy efficiency and conservation. Implementation on the policies developed for energy efficiencies and conservation has not been witnessed.
