The contemporary concept of value chains has evolved from many disciplines and directions by creating a complex and multidisciplinary body of knowledge. The value chains consist of structural and dynamic components of a system. The structural components refer to all participants within a chain that, through marketfocused collaboration, execute a sequence of activities that add value. The dynamic components relate to management and relationships among participants, and the ability of the value chain to remain competitive by improving the system. The main activities of a value chain analysis are: end-market analysis, value chain mapping, the analysis of network structure and governance, as well as economic analysis. The results of the analysis are the input for the upgrading strategies. Types of upgrading in value chains are: the upgrading of a product, process, functional and intersectoral upgrading. The paper focuses on the value chains in agribusiness and especially to small agricultural producers.

The paper starts from the development business processes management and emphasizes the complexity of issues that the discipline of management includes. The complex nature of the interconnection of components of the organization requires the integration process with the structure, systems and other components of the organization, therefore, implementation business processes management leads to significant changes in components of the organizational system. The paper discusses the changes the system of human resource management in the implementation of business processes and to two major areas: training and learning and compensation system.

The paper deals with the stage management of transition in the model of managing organizational change. Organizations active in the transition stage of implementing change and the worst part of the changes where spent most of the time and energy. Therefore, transition management is the key to successful implementation of change. General management of transition activities are communication and vision plans, authority employees and implementation plans.
