1. Fault diagnosis method for transformers based on feature selection of dissolved gas in oil

Abstract

Dissolved gas analysis is important for the early warning and diagnosis of transformer faults. Aiming at the problems of numerous types of features for dissolved gas in oil and the insufficient analysis of fault associated features, a new fault diagnosis method for oil-immersed transformers based on feature selection of dissolved gas in oil is proposed. Firstly, the derivation of original features for dissolved gases is completed. The optimal combination of features is selected by calculating the importance of features for fault diagnosis based on random forest (RF). Then, the tree-structured parzen estimator (TPE) is used to realize the parameter optimization of the RF model, and the TPE-RF diagnostic model is obtained. Combined with the various evaluated indicators, the proposed method is proved to be able to diagnosis the transformer faults accurately. Finally, the TreeSHAP model is introduced to analyze the importance of the features corresponding to each fault, and the specialized features for each fault are selected. According to the case of transformer in operation, the applicability of the method in the power system is discussed, and the effectiveness of the method is verified.

4. Application of copying original lingual morphology of anterior teeth in ceramic crown design

Abstract

Objective To explore better methods of ceramic crown design and reduce foreign body sensation of prostheses by digitally replicating the lingual morphology of the original teeth in the patient's aesthetic zone. Methods Patients with anterior tooth defects were collected from July 2022 to December 2023 at Department of Second Clinical Division of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital, Nanjing Medical University. Patients with crown prostheses designed using automatically matched tooth morphology from the tooth shape database served as the control group. Patients with crown prostheses designed using digital technology to replicate the lingual morphology of the original teeth were used as the experimental group. Differences in occlusal evaluation and foreign body sensation evaluation of the prostheses in the two groups were compared. Results Results showed that the minimal interocclusal distance of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. The occlusal evaluation of the prostheses in the experimental group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. The foreign body sensation of the prostheses in the experimental group was also less than that of the control group. Conclusion Prostheses designed using digital technology to replicate the original lingual morphology of the teeth have a better lingual occlusal relationship with less foreign body sensation and better comfort.

11. MSCCD: Grammar Pluggable Clone Detection Based on ANTLR Parser Generation

Abstract

For various reasons, programming languages continue to multiply and evolve. It has become necessary to have a multilingual clone detection tool that can easily expand supported programming languages and detect various code clones is needed. However, research on multilingual code clone detection has not received sufficient attention. In this study, we propose MSCCD (Multilingual Syntactic Code Clone Detector), a grammar pluggable code clone detection tool that uses a parser generator to generate a code block extractor for the target language. The extractor then extracts the semantic code blocks from a parse tree. MSCCD can detect Type-3 clones at various granularities. We evaluated MSCCD's language extensibility by applying MSCCD to 20 modern languages. Sixteen languages were perfectly supported, and the remaining four were provided with the same detection capabilities at the expense of execution time. We evaluated MSCCD's recall by using BigCloneEval and conducted a manual experiment to evaluate precision. Abstract

Since IoT systems provide services over the Internet, they must continue to operate safely even if malicious users attack them. Since the computational resources of edge devices connected to the IoT are limited, lightweight platforms and network protocols are often used. Lightweight platforms and network protocols are less resistant to attacks, increasing the risk that developers will embed vulnerabilities. The code clone research community has been developing approaches to fix buggy (e.g., vulnerable) clones simultaneously. However, there has been little research on IoT-related vulnerable clones. It is unclear whether existing code clone detection techniques can perform simultaneous fixes of the vulnerable clones. In this study, we first created two datasets of IoT-related vulnerable code. We then conducted a preliminary investigation to show whether existing code clone detection tools (e.g., NiCaD, CCFinderSW) are capable of detecting IoT-related vulnerable clones by applying them to the created datasets. 26. Amorphous alloys surpass E/10 strength limit at extreme strain rates

Abstract

Theoretical predictions of the ideal strength of materials range from E/30 to E/10 (E is Young's modulus). However, despite intense interest over the last decade, the value of the ideal strength that can be attained experimentally for metals remains a mystery (1-5). In this study, we demonstrated the unprecedented strength of an amorphous Cu-Zr alloy that surpassed the E/10 limit. Laser-induced shock experiments were conducted on Cu50Zr50 to explore its strength and failure mechanisms at ultrahigh strain rates. The material demonstrated a high spall strength of 9.8 GPa, approximately 1/13 of its P-wave modulus (~ E/6), at strain rates greater than 10^7 s^-1, which sets a new record for the elastic limit of metallic materials. Electron microscopy and large-scale molecular dynamics simulations revealed that void nucleation and growth, not shear-banding, comprised the major failure mechanism for metallic glasses at extremely fast strain rates. A new model for void formation under the control of surface energy explained the rate dependence of the material strength. The results of this study reveal new possible ways to use the amorphous phase in nanostructured metals in future applications under demanding mechanical conditions., Comment: 27 pages, 13 figures
