The temperature prediction of geothermal reservoirs at different depths is to determine the key parameters such as thermal energy storage, heat output capacity, and the sustainable utilization period of geothermal reservoirs. Taking the geothermal wells in the Qiabuqia area of Gonghe Basin as an example, this study proposes a temperature prediction model for heat reservoirs under different constraints based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) and long short-term memory network (LSTM). The prediction effect of this model is verified by comparing with those of the BP model and LSTM model. The results show that the RMSE value, MAPE value and MAD value in the prediction results of the model are the smallest compared with those in BP and LSTM models, and the minimum RMSE value is only 1.192. The determination coefficient of the model is 0.929, showing a good prediction effect. This indicates that this model could realize the prediction of reservoir temperature in geothermal system, which provides references for the efficient and long-term development of geothermal system.

Currently, the investigation and monitoring of geothermal energy face significant challenges, and a lack of understanding regarding the variations in physical parameters of hot dry rock reservoirs with temperature is a crucial factor. In this study, 29 hot dry rock samples from the Gonghe Basin in Qinghai Province were subjected to high-temperature petrophysical experiments to analyze the changing patterns of physical parameters with temperature. Results show that: ①The density of rock samples gradually decreases with temperature, albeit with an attenuation range of less than 1%. ②The temperature change exerts a substantial influence on the P-wave velocity and S-wave velocity of the samples, resulting in significant attenuation between 120 ℃ and 180 ℃, with respective reductions of approximately 1 500 m/s and 800 m/s. ③A peak magnetic field intensity, seven times greater than at room temperature, is reached at 120 ℃. ④The resistivity fluctuates with increasing temperature, whose values ranges from 10 to 25 Ω·m. Based on these experimental results and with the combination of the classical Gassmann equation and fluid substitution models, this study made a quantitative analysis on the impacts of porosity and temperature variations on longitudinal wave velocity. The outcomes indicate that a porosity of 0.025 resulted in a decrease of approximately 600 m/s in the longitudinal wave velocity with increasing temperature, whereas a porosity of 0.1 caused a decrease of approximately 1 000 m/s under the same conditions.

The geological hidden disaster-causing bodies such as small-scale faults and collapsed columns may destroy the continuity of the coal seam, which will lead to accidents such as gas outburst and water outburst in the air mining area, and seriously threaten the coal mining safety.Traditional seismic exploration methods are mainly involved with reflected waves that have a limited resolution and cannot effectively identify them.A multi-parameter sparse optimization diffraction separation method in the shot domain is proposed that is based on curvelet sparse transformation and plane-wave decomposition.It can solve the problem of diffraction separation in the interfering or tangency cases and the separated diffractions have a waveform consistency and integrity.The 3D numerical modeling and simulation test results show that the proposed method can effectively eliminate the shielding effect of strong reflections, separate the complete diffracted/scattered wave, and improve the imaging accuracy of fault edges and scattering points, where the imaging features of polarity reversal can be used to distinguish different types of small-scale geological structures.The field data of Shanxi Yang Erkuang coal mine confirmed that the proposed method can effectively remove the shielding effect of strong reflections from coal seam, and the hyperbolic forms of diffractions in the stacked profile can qualitatively control its reliability.For seismic diffraction interpretation, full-wave field imaging results are generally required to provide a macroscopic geological background and the diffraction imaging results are combined to reveal hidden disaster-induced geological bodies.The diffraction image of collapsed column boundaries and their insider characterization is clearer, and the exhibition of small-scale fractures is more powerful.It is a high-resolution imaging method and has a great potential in detecting hidden disaster geological bodies, which can provide a technical guarantee for coal mine safety and efficient mining in China.

With the rapid development of the new energy industry, distributed generation (DG) is connected to the power grid on a large scale, and the traditional relay protection scheme is no longer suitable for modern power systems. In order to solve this problem, this paper establishes a mathematical model of the equivalent circuit of distributed photovoltaic power supply according to the external characteristics of photovoltaic cells, and analyzes its volt-ampmeter characteristics and voltage output characteristics of power supply. On this basis, it analyzes and puts forward the control mode of DG when the distribution network is faulty. On the basis of the study, this article has double feeder distribution network as an example, the analysis when the line fault occurring at different extents of DG connected to different position on the influence of the distribution network current protection, the results show that when answering DG side in the feeder bus for distribution network of current protection, pick a smaller effect on both ends of feeder, has a certain symmetry. Finally, the accuracy of theoretical analysis is verified by establishing a simulation model in PSCAD.

Lanthanide-doped fluoride nanoparticles (NPs) exhibit tunable X-ray excited optical luminescence (XEOL) and X-ray excited persistent luminescence (XEPL) properties, demonstrating promising applications in X-ray imaging. However, the mechanisms underlying shell thickness-dependent variations in XEOL and XEPL intensities remain unclear. In this work, we utilize homogeneous NaYF4:Tb@NaYF4 and heterogeneous NaYF4:Tb@NaLuF4 core/shell NPs to investigate the role of shell thickness. Our results reveal an optimal shell thickness of approximately 3 nm for both XEOL and XEPL, which contrasts with behaviors observed in upconversion systems. The shell layer effectively passivates NP surface defects, reducing energy migration from activators to these defects. However, it also absorbs input X-ray photons, which can diminish X-ray absorption in the core layer. Our findings contribute to the design of lanthanide-doped core/shell NPs with enhanced XEOL and XEPL performances. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Temperature-dependent multicolor luminescent materials are widely used in optical temperature sensing and related applications. However, most of these materials derive their luminescence from the radiation transition of rare earth (RE) ions. Therefore, the development of RE-free luminescent materials is of great significance for RE resources and environmental protection. Here, we propose a novel RE-free multicolor luminescent glass-ceramic (GC) and offer a color regulation strategy for defect-induced luminescence. As the temperature rises, thermal expansion alters the state of the defects, causing the emission color to gradually shift from cyan-green to dark blue. This color shift is reversible, returning to the original color as the temperature decreases. Moreover, the GC retains 97.2 % of its luminescence intensity after being submerged in water for one year, highlighting its excellent physicochemical stability. A pattern label prepared by this GC, exhibits excellent luminescent color-temperature response, indicating its potential application in high-temperature information indication. When turbidity currents carrying shallow heat enter stable stratified lakes or oceans, they can trigger changes in temperature, dissolved chemicals, oxygen concentrations, and nutrient mixing through the stable stratified environmental water. Although it is common for warm turbidity currents to invade stable regions, the impact of turbidity current characteristics on environmental entrainment and the impact of temperature changes caused by the mixing of warm turbidity currents with the environment remains poorly understood. In this study, systematic experiments on warm turbidity currents were conducted to understand how sediment-driven turbidity currents lead to mixing in stable stratification using existing environmental entrainment numbers. The experimental results show that the dimensionless numbers R s (the ratio of the change in environmental water concentration caused by salinity to sediment load), R T (the ratio of the change in environmental water concentration caused by temperature difference to sediment load), and R 0 (non-dimensional density ratio) control the flow process of warm turbid plumes, and corresponding functional relationships are summarized. The frequent occurrence of warm turbidity currents events caused by increasingly prominent environmental problems cannot be ignored, as it directly affects the deep-water environment of lakes or coastal oceans, which may be an important contribution to heat transfer that has not been evaluated in previous ocean events. X-ray imaging technology has become ubiquitous in medical diagnosis and security inspections. However, the high X-ray radiation dose rates associated with these applications pose significant health risks. Despite this, there remains a lack of convenient and accurate X-ray detection methods in the commercial market. In response, a novel ratiometric optical fiber X-ray sensor based on a NaGdF4:15Tb nanoparticle and CaAl2O4:Eu/Nd phosphor integrated film is developed. This sensor enables accurate dose rate detection with high sensitivity and robust stability across various environmental conditions. The diverse absorption coefficients of the studied materials are the primary contributors to the recorded different dose rate-dependent X-ray excited optical luminescence intensity variations. The maximum absolute radiation dose rate sensitivity and relative radiation dose rate sensitivity achieved are 0.098 (nGy s−1)−1 and 9.06% (nGy s−1)−1, respectively. The measured detection limit is as low as 15 nGy s−1. This advancement holds great promise for monitoring X-ray dose rates to mitigate radiation risks and pave the way for the development of new X-ray detection systems with high accuracy.
