2. Endoscopic characteristics of different grades of melanosis coli complicated with polyps

Abstract

Objective To investigate the endoscopic characteristics of different grades of melanosis coli （MC） complicated with polyps. Methods Clinical and endoscopic data of 597 patients diagnosed with MC who underwent colonoscopy were retrospectively analyzed. The correlation of different grades of MC with age， gender and intestinal diseases was analyzed. The gender， age， polyp size and pathological type of polyps in patients with different grades of MC were analyzed statistically. Results Polyps were more commonly detected in gradeⅠMC than in gradeⅡand gradeⅢMC. The size of polyps significantly differed among different grades of MC. The detection rate of < 0.5 cm polyps in gradeⅢMC was 37.50%， significantly lower than 67.11% in gradeⅠand 60.18% in gradeⅡMC. The detection rate of 0.6-1.0 cm polyps in gradeⅢMC was 57.50%， significantly higher than 23.49% in grade Ⅰand 25.66% in gradeⅡMC. The detection rates of hyperplastic polyps and tubular adenoma significantly differed among different grades of MC complicated with polyp （all P < 0.05）. No statistical significance was observed in the distribution of inflammatory polyp， retention polyp， serrated adenoma and tubular-serrated adenoma among different grades of MC complicated with polyp （all P > 0.05）. Conclusions Polyps are more commonly detected in gradeⅠMC. Polyps of 0.6-1.0 cm in size are more likely to be detected in grade ⅢMC. Hyperplastic polyps are more commonly detected in gradeⅠMC， whereas tubular adenoma in gradeⅡandⅢMC.

46. Overexpressed SNRPB/D1/D3/E/F/G correlate with poor survival and immune infiltration in hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract

Background: Prior reports have indicated that the abnormal expression of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs) genes is related to malignant tumors. However, in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the precise role of snRNPs is not well understood. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the prognostic roles of SNRPB/D1/D2/D3/E/F/G and their correlation to immune infiltration in HCC. Methods: The study was carried out via the following databases, software, and experimental validation: ONCOMINE, GEPIA2, UALCAN, The Cancer Genome Atlas, Gene Expression Omnibus, ArrayExpress, Kaplan-Meier plotter, cBioPortal, STRING, DAVID 6.8, TIMER, Cytoscape software, and immunohistochemistry experiments. Results: Overexpressed SNRPB/D1/D2/D3/E/F/G proteins were found in HCC tissues. The transcription levels of 7 snRNPs genes were related to the TP53 mutation and tumor grades. SNRPB/D1/D2/D3/F/G expression was significantly correlated with cancer staging, whereas SNRPE was not. Moreover, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that upregulation of SNRPB/D1/D2/E/G was relevant to worse OS in HCC patients, especially in patients with alcohol consumption and those without viral hepatitis. Multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that expression of SNRPB/D1/D3/E/F/G were independent prognostic factors for unfavorable OS in HCC. In addition, a high mutation rate of snRNPs genes (44%) was also found in HCC. The mRNA expression levels of snRNPs were meaningfully and positively related to six types of infiltrating immune cells (B cells, CD4(+) T cells, CD8(+) T cells, neutrophil, macrophage, and dendritic cells). Also, SNRPB/D1/G genes were significantly associated with molecular markers of various immune cells in HCC. Conclusions: SNRPB/D1/D3/E/F/G are potential prognostic biomarkers for a short OS in HCC, and SNRPB/D1/G were novel immune therapy targets in HCC patients.

Abstract

Aqueous rechargeable nickel//bismuth batteries have surfaced as a prospective energy storage and conversion system because of their merits of good safety, high power density, and low cost. Their electrochemical performances, however, are heavily dependent on the electrode active materials. Herein, high-performance aqueous rechargeable nickel//bismuth batteries were assembled with Bi2MoO6@reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as the anode active material and Co0.5Ni0.5MoO4@rGO as the cathode active material. Introducing rGO could effectively enhance the utilization of the electrode active materials, improving the specific capacity and rate performance. The Bi2MoO6@rGO delivered a specific capacity of 198.0 mA h g−1 at the current density of 1 A g−1 and rate property of 75.9% in 1–20 A g−1. Additionally, the Co0.5Ni0.5MoO4@rGO exhibited specific capacities of 150.5 and 110.8 mA h g−1 at 1 and 15 A g−1, respectively. Accordingly, the nickel//bismuth batteries afforded a maximum energy density of 53.1 W h kg−1 with a power density of 351.6 W kg−1 at 0.5 A g−1.
