This paper aims to analyze the regulations related to protecting the architecture of the traditional house in Indonesia and the challenges in related regulations. To achieve these goals, the research uses a normative legal writing method with descriptive-analytical specifications. Firstly, the findings reveal that traditional houses are part of traditional cultural expressions (TCE). Indonesia protects architectural works and TCE in the same intellectual property regime, namely copyright. Therefore, this paper examines the protection of traditional house architecture from the perspective of Copyright law, the Law on the Advancement of Culture, and the TCE Bill. The abovementioned regulations state that the architecture is a protected object unless the TCE Bill is. Second, there are some challenges, such as 1) the priority of the TCE Bill after the change of president; 2) song and music get more benefit from copyright protection rather than the other objects in the copyright regime and no implementing regulation on architecture; and 3) the TCE data collection/inventory is still not optimal yet. Therefore, Indonesia needs to think more seriously about adequate and applicable legal protection for traditional house architecture and other TCEs. The central government should encourage regional governments and related parties to continue data collection and registration of various TCEs in each region to increase the number of registered TCEs. The central government should provide a target number of registered TCEs for the local government. If the target is met, the central government will give a reward so that the local government and related parties will be more enthusiastic about collecting data and registering the TCE with DJKI. Halal tourism is one form of tourism development and promotion that is anticipated to boost local economic growth and state revenue. Halal tourism aims to instill trust in Muslim visitors so that they are not hesitant to visit tourist destinations like Lake Toba where the majority of the population is non-Muslim and is one of the most popular tourist destinations. This is done to convince the tourists that these destinations welcome Muslim visitors even if Lake Toba’s population is primarily comprised of non-Muslims. The government must enact rules if halal tourism is to be practiced properly and lawfully. This study used normative and empirical research methods. Examining the rules and laws governing halal goods and tourism is done as normative research. Following surveys and interviews with villagers and business owners in the Lake Toba region, empirical research was conducted. The findings demonstrate that halal tourism is a concept that ensures the provision of the services and infrastructure required by Muslim travelers during their journey, including halal food, prayer spaces, and so forth. However, halal tourism currently has legal loopholes. Halal tourism in Lake Toba thus has advantages and disadvantages. In reality, local residents and business owners in the Lake Toba region are sympathetic to the notion, as long as it does not obliterate traditions and local culture, and does not act as a campaign to Islamize them. Digital developments in the banking system occur not only in conventional banks but also in Islamic banks. The digitalization of Islamic financing transactions is also inseparable from technological developments, especially in the use of electronic contracts. Sharia bank's implementation of Sharia business activities is regulated in the "Compilation of Sharia Economic Law" (KHES). Electronic Contracts are one of the innovations related to commercial life while navigating the legality of making agreements, even though digitally included by Islamic Banks, thus raising questions about the validity and risks of these electronic contracts. Competence, legal relations, objects, free consent, and jurisdiction are indicators of readiness for treaty legal instruments in the development of the current digitalization era. This study examines the legal readiness of agreements facing the era of digitalization of Islamic banking in financing transactions. This study uses an empirical method to examine the provisions of laws and regulations in detail. This was a normative juridical study. The results of the field study show that the electronic contracts implemented by Bank Mega Syariah and Bank Muamalat through e-contracts meet the legal provisions of the agreements stipulated in positive law in Indonesia. The results of the literature study also show that treaty legal instruments as stipulated in BW, Law 11/2008 junction PP 71/2019, and KHES have accommodated the development of electronic agreement legal needs as an implication of the digitalization era in banking financing transactions.
