In this study, dog traffic in the animal shelter of Sivas province was investigated both quantitatively on the basis of years and the reasons for abandonment, as well as the attitudes and behaviors of the animal owners. In the study, besides the dog traffic records of the stray animal rehabilitation center operated by Sivas Municipality, the survey data made with the owners who left their dogs there were analyzed. According to the four-year records (2019-2022), the average number of dogs staying in the Sivas Municipality Animal Shelter is 1058, while the average number of dogs collected from the street per month is 50.7, the average number of spayed female and male dogs per month is 17.33 and 33.44, respectively. The average number of adopted female and male dogs was 2.8 and 4.3 respectively and, dog deaths per month in the shelter was 21.9. Every month, an average of 15 dogs were released back to the point where they were taken after the spayed and treated at the animal shelter. In addition, a face-to-face survey was conducted with a total of 50 people who left their dogs in the shelter and 15 questions were asked to the participants, including the reasons for adopting/abandonment and form of care-feeding. As a result, it can be said that it would be beneficial to deal with the process in many different provinces with more detailed studies in terms of the ever-increasing number of dog acquisitions in the society and the prevention of their abandonment.

Hayvan yetiştiriciliğinde anaç sürüden elde edilen yavru sayısı veya oranı olarak ifade edilebilen dölverimi, başarılı bir yetiştiriciliğin ilk koşuludur. Bu araştırmada, Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığınca Halk Elinde Hayvan Islahı Ülkesel Projesi kapsamında yürütülen çalışmalara dâhil Sivas Merkez ve Yıldızeli ilçelerinde yer alan iki alt projenin (58KAK2012-06 ve 58KAK2012-07), 2013 ila 2018 yılları arası altı yıllık verilerinden yararlanılarak, Kangal Akkaraman ırkı koyunların dölverimi özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada ilk yıl, projeye dahil her iki ilçeden toplam 48 köydeki 70 işletme, altıncı yılda 33 köyde 57 işletmeye düşmüştür. Altı yıllık süreçte, ıslah projesindeki tüm işletmelerdeki toplam 76383 anaç koyundan elde edilen 86116 kuzu kaydı değerlendirilmiştir. Alınan tüm verilere göre ortalama doğum oranı %92.7 olurken yıllar arası farklılıklar istatistiki olarak önemli, ilçeler arası farklılıklar ise önemsiz bulunmuştur. Çalışmada elde edilen veri sayısı çok fazla olduğundan, üçüz doğumlara da rastlanmış ancak çok düşük oranda (ortalama %0,1) kalmasından dolayı ayrıca değerlendirilmeyip, ikiz doğumlara dahil edilmiştir. Elde edilen tüm değerlere göre ortalama ikiz doğum oranı %22 olurken, yıllar arası, ilçeler arası ve koç katım dönemleri arası (ağustos-aralık ayları arası beş ay) farklılıklar önemli bulunmuştur. Yine dölverimi ölçütlerinden sütten kesilen kuzu oranı ya da sütten kesim dönemi yaşama gücüne ait genel ortalama %91,3 olurken, yıllara, ilçelere ve kuzu doğum zamanına (ocak-mayıs ayları arası beş ay) göre farklılıklar istatistiki olarak önemli bulunmuştur. Çalışmada ana yaşı bilinen, sadece 2013 yılına ait bir alt projedeki 4242 koyundan elde edilen 5147 kuzu kaydına göre, koyunların yaşı (1-10 arası) doğum tipi üzerinde etkili bulunurken, yaşama gücü üzerinde istatistiki olarak önemsiz bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre çalışma bölgesinde ve benzer şartlara sahip işletmelerde karlılığı en üst düzeye çıkarmak için dölverimini artıran faktörlerin dikkate alınması yararlı olacaktır.

In this study, a morphometric investigation was carried out on the Akbash Turkish shepherd dog breed using 30 exterior parameters. The study consisted of 96 dogs (54 males and 42 females) ranging in age from 2 to 9 years. All dogs were bred in the West Anatolia region of Turkey, around the city of Eskisehir. The following exterior parameters were measured and their means were obtained: height at withers (65.22±3.99 cm), height at mid-back (62.24±4.24 cm), height at rump (64.97±4.16 cm), height at base of tail (58.2±5.01 cm), height to elbow (36.07±4.06 cm), height to knee (35.83±4.96 cm), height to hock (17.08±3.21 cm), height to tip of sternum (45.12±4.30 cm), body length (70.58±5.58 cm), chest depth (29.58±3.23 cm), chest width (21.02±3.18 cm), breast width (16.86±3.41 cm), chest circumference (77.86±7.05 cm), pastern circumference (13.27±1.67 cm), rump length (19.21±3.27 cm), pelvic width (8.65±2.18 cm), rump protuberance width (7.58±3.02 cm), head length (27.20±2.85 cm), skull length (16.58±1.92 cm), muzzle length (10.30±2.35 cm), skull width (14.06±1.96 cm), muzzle width (7.60±1.26 cm). According to the obtained morphological characteristics the dog has a rectangular body format, and the rump is somewhat higher than the height at the withers. According to its craniological characteristics it belongs to the group of mesaticephalic dogs. The width of the skull is smaller than its length. Angles of the hind legs are more open than angles of the front legs.

WOS: 000430774800009, Kangal Shepherd Dog is one of the endemic large dog breeds in Anatolia, Turkey. It is bred in different regions of Turkey as well as in different countries as a livestock guarding dog (LGD). Being one of the most popular and common LGD breeds, basic behavioural traits and the effectiveness of Kangals have been subjected to several studies. However, most of the behavioural data originate from surveys conducted with LGD users and there is a lack in the literature of studies which focus on direct observation and recording of guarding behaviours of Kangals. The present study investigated 10 sheep flocks guarded by Kangal dogs in their natural habitat, in Sivas, Turkey, by recording the movements of dogs, sheep and shepherd using GPS-receivers in the pasture. We collected instantaneous geographical position and speed data to assess to what extent the movement data overlaps with the behavioural data present in the literature about the livestock guarding behaviour of Kangals. The mean speeds of the sheep, the shepherd and dogs were lower in the night, compared to that in the daytime. The shepherd stayed, an average, closer to the herd in the night compared to the dogs. Both the shepherd and the dogs preferred to be closer to the herd at night, compared to the daytime. Dogs moved farther away from the herd than did the shepherd in the night. Our results indicating that Kangal dogs generally established a closer relationship with shepherd rather than the sheep may imply an anthropogenic disruption in one of the three behavioural components of LGDs, namely in the attentiveness of Kangals. To the best of our knowledge, the present study is the first one to collect geographical data regarding the livestock guarding behaviour of Kangal dogs in their native habitat. WOS: 000452607600016, The aims of this study were to evaluate different paternity test panels with 17 microsatellite markers for their effectiveness in paternity analysis and to identify pedigree error rates in the Kangal Akkaraman breed of sheep. The animal material for the study consisted of 175 Kangal Akkaraman sheep, 35 rams, and their 140 offspring, raised on farms and bred using controlled mating. The panels were created according to probability of exclusion (PE) of 17 studied microsatellites. A total of 240 alleles were detected across 17 microsatellite loci. The overall mean value of the polymorphic information content (PIC) (0.78) indicated that the microsatellite panels were highly polymorphic. Probability of identity (PI) values ranged between 0.02 and 0.13. It can be said that pedigree error (2.94%) occurred at a low rate in this study. The highest combined PE values were obtained from Panel-16 (0.9999771) as expected. Panel-8 and Panel-9 met the PE value accepted in the literature (0.999). Çalışmada 24 adet sağlıklı Kangal ırkı Türk Çoban köpeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kangal köpeklerinin anayurdu olarak kabul edilen Sivas ilinde ve üç farklı rakımda yaşayan köpekler (Karasar 1950 m, Divriği 1225 m, Çiğdemli 918 m) üzerinden yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada kangalların dinlenme sırasında ve 10 dakikalık egzersiz sonrasında nabız sayıları, solunum sayıları ve vücut ısıları ölçülmüştür. Dinlenme sırasında ortalama nabız sayısı 93.00/dak, solunum sayısı 22.58/dak, vücut ısısı 37.60 ?C egzersiz sonrası ortalama nabız sayısı 113.96/dak, solunum sayısı 35.38/dak, vücut ısısı 37.77 ?C olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın materyalini Sivas yöresinde bulunan işletmelerde yetiştirilen biyokimyasal ve hematolojik bulgularıyla sağlıklı olduğu belirlenen neonatal (24 ay) 48 adet (25 dişi 23 erkek) sığır ve buzağı oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışma, evlerimizin bir ferdi gibi yetiştirilen pet hayvanlarının, bir Ortaanadolu kenti olan Sivas’taki mevcut durumu ve geleceği ile ilgili eğilimlerin tespiti amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bunun için yaşları 18–72 arasında (ortalama 32,25) değişen, aylık gelirleri 400–5000 TL arasında (ortalama 1841 TL) 100 kişi (73 erkek, 27 bayan) ile yüz yüze görüşme şeklinde gerçekleştirilen ankette, kişisel bilgilerin haricinde katılımcılara 16 soru yöneltilmiştir. Katılımcıların %51’inin yükseköğretim mezunu, %46’sı evli, %82’sinin apartman dairesinde yaşadığı, %64’ünün oturduğu evin kendisine veya ailesine ait olduğu belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, Sivas ilinde evinde herhangi bir pet yetiştirenlerin oranı %31 olurken, insanların gelir seviyesinin, cinsiyetinin, yaşının, medeni durumunun, eğitim seviyesinin, çocuk sahibi olmasının ve oturduğu evin bahçeli olup olmamasının bu oran üzerinde istatistikî açıdan önemli olmadığı görülmüştür. Yetiştirilen pet hayvanı türleri içerisinde en yüksek oranı kuş yetiştiriciliği alırken, hayvanı olanların %48,4’ünün hiç veteriner hekime gitmediği, hayvanı olmayanların %24,6’sının daha önce hayvanlarla ilgili kötü bir olay yaşadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, veteriner hekimlik açısından gün geçtikçe önemi artacak olan pet hayvanı yetiştiriciliğinin daha da yaygınlaştırılması için öncelikle mevcut durumunun ve sorunlarının tespitinin önemli olduğu görülürken, daha geniş çaplı araştırmaların yapılması yararlı olacaktır., The aim of the study was to determine the present situation and future trends of pet which a member of our home in central Anatolian city of Sivas. For this purpose, 100 people (73 male, 27 female) used with face to face interviews in the questionnaire aged 18-72 (mean 32.25), monthly income changed 400-5000 Turkish Liras (average 1841) and, 16 questions except for personal information were asked to participants. Participants, 51% graduated the university, 46% married, 82% lived in apartments, and 64% of the occupied own houses or belonging to their family have been identified. According to the findings, any breeders of pet in the house in Sivas rate were 31%. and, the people's income level , gender , age , marital status , educational level , having a child and the seat of the house with a garden and the lack of this on the ratio statistically not significant was observed. Highest percentage pet in species of breeding animals was the bird and, 48.4% of those pet owners did not go to the veterinarian at all and, 24.6% of non-animal’s previously had a bad incident with animals that have been identified. As a result, in terms of veterinary importance will increase day by day with pet animal breeding priorities for the further dissemination of the determination of the current situation and problems are seen to be important and, larger-scale research to be done will be helpful.

U cilju definitivne zootehnicko-kinoloske standardizacije kangala kao autohtone turske rase, Turski kinoloski savez (KIF) preduzeo je ozbiljne korake, pocevsi od 2008. Te godine je, tokom maja, organizovana prva ekspedicija na terenima oko grada Sivas. Da bi se o eksterijernim parametrima moglo kvalifikovano diskutovati urađena je tokom 2010. analiza druge populacije kangala, ovog puta u okolini Ankare. Kangal je, ko rasa, kinoloski priznata i standardizovana na nacionalnom nivou 2011. godine. Zootehnicki je obrađeno 126 pasa, 77 mužjaka i 49 ženki iz dve populacije. Pored ostalih eksterijernih parametara veoma je bitno odrediti i format tela za ovu rasu. Merenjem visine pasa u grebenu i dužine od ramenog zgloba ( Articulatio humeri ) do sedne kvrge ( Tuber ischi ) dobijeni su podaci koji su statisticki obrađeni. Prosecna visina mužjaka kangala je 72,80 cm, a dužina tela 81,20 cm. Prosecna visina ženki je 69,20 cm, a dužina tela 77,60 cm. Indeks formata tela mužjaka je 111, a ženki 112. Razlike u visini grebena između mužjaka i ženki statisticki je bila znacajna (P 0,05). Na uzorku od 126 pasa turskog pastirskog psa kangala utvrđeno je da telo ima pravougaoni oblik, odnosno da je dužina tela veca od visine u grebenu za 11% kod mužjaka, i 12% kod ženki. To je potpuno u saglasnosti sa opstim principima građe pastirskih pasa.

Bu çalışmada devekuşu yumurtalarının kuluçka verileri ve yumurta büyüklüğünün kuluçka performansı üzerine etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Sivas ve Kayseri illeri çevresindeki özel işletmelerden bir sezonda (Mart-Eylül 2002) elde edilen 586 yumurtadan 544 adeti çalışmada kullanılmıştır. Yumurtalar büyüklüklerine göre küçük (?1450 g), orta boy (>1450 g, ?1650 g) ve büyük (>1650 g) olarak üç grupta ele alınmış, buna göre orta boy yumurtalar toplam yumurtaların %54’ünü, büyük boy yumurtalar %24’ünü ve küçük yumurtalar da %22’sini oluşturmuştur. Yumurtaların tamamında dölsüzlük oranı ortalaması %22,8 olarak elde edilirken küçük, orta boy ve büyük yumurtalarda dölsüzlük oranına ait ortalamalar arası fark önemsiz bulunmuştur (P>0,05). Çalışmada kuluçka süresi 38-50 gün arasında değişerek ortalama 43,58 gün olarak elde edilmiş ve kuluçka süresi açısından yumurta büyüklüğüne göre yapılan gruplar arası fark önemsiz bulunmuştur (P>0,05). İnkübasyon boyunca yumurtalardaki ağırlık kaybı ortalaması %13,70 olurken küçük, orta boy ve büyük yumurtalarda bu orana ait ortalamalar arası fark önemli bulunmuştur (P0,05). Kuluçkadan çıkan civcivlerin ortalama ağırlıkları 1037 g olurken; küçük, orta boy ve büyük yumurtalarda civciv ağırlık ortalamaları ve civciv ağırlık yüzdeleri arası farklar önemli bulunmuştur (P, To determine the incubation of ostrich eggs with the effects of egg weight, 544 eggs from ten female African Black ostriches were used in two commercial farm in Sivas and Kayseri provinces of central Anatolia during a laying season. The average weight of eggs in a season was 1552 g. The eggs were evaluated as small, medium and large and the distribution was 54% medium, 24% large and 22% small. The average infertility rate was 22.8% and the differences between the small, medium and large eggs were not significant (P>0.05). The average incubation period was 43.58 days (38-50 days). This study was carried out to determine the chick growth and chick survival rate of African Black ostriches. In the study, 55 ostrich chicks were used obtained from private ostrich farm in Sivas between July and September. The survival rate of chicks at three months of age was 76.36%. The average 0, 15, 30, 60 and 90th day live weights of chicks were 0.99, 1.61, 3.63, 13.25 and 24.82 kg, respectively. In this study, growth and survival results in the first three months which is regarded as the most critical rearing period of ostrich chicks were investigated in the environmental conditions of Sivas. The results were in accordance with the references., Çalışmada, Sivas ilindeki özel bir işletmede bulunan Afrika Karası devekuşlarından alınan yumurtalardan elde edilen 55 adet civcive ait Haziran-Eylül ayları arasındaki ilk üç aylık dönemi kapsayan yaşama gücü ve büyüme özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Civcivlerin ilk üç aylık dönemlerine ait yaşama gücü değeri %76.36 olarak bulurken; aynı dönem boyunca 0, 15, 30 60 ve 90 ıncı günler için ortalama canlı ağırlıkları sırasıyla, 0.99, 1.61, 3.63, 13.25 ve 24.82 kg olarak elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırma ile devekuşlarının önemli verim özelliklerinden en kritik yetiştirme dönemi kabul edilen civcivlerdeki ilk üç aylık döneme ait büyüme ve yaşama gücüne ait verim özellikleri Sivas koşullarında incelenmiş ve elde edilen sonuçların literatürden farklı olmadığı görülmüştür.

Bu çalısmada son yıllarda köpeklerin kalp ve damar sistemi hastalıklarının tanısında yaygın olarak kullanılan Doppler ekokardiografinin ülkemizde ilk kez Kangal ırkı köpeklerdeki dogmasal kalp hastalıklarının belirlenmesinde kullanılması ve bu hastalıkların kan akım hemodinamiginde meydana getirdigi degisikliklerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıstır. Arastırmanın materyalini 3-18 aylık, disi ve erkek 50 kangal ırkı köpek olusturdu. 2-D ekokardiografik muayenede 2 (%4) köpekte sol ventrikül çıkıs alanında daralma oldugu belirlendi. Mitral displazi bulunan 1 (%2) köpekte ise anteriör ve posteriör yapraklarda kalınlasma ve boylarında kısalma oldugu görüldü. Pulmoner stenoz bulunan 1 (%2) köpekte ise kapak düzeyinden alınan Doppler traselerinden yüksek akım hızı ve kan basıncı oldugu görüldü. Sonuç olarak Kangal ırkı köpeklerde mitral displazi ve pulmoner stenozis gibi degisik dogmasal kalp hastalıklarının bulunabilecegi, bu hastalıkların kan akım hemodinamigi ve hızında meydana getirdigi degisikliklerin Doppler ekokardiografik muayeneler ile kolayca tanısının yapılabilecegi kanısına varıldı., The purpose of this study was to diagnose the congenital cardiac diseases in Kangal Sheperd Dogs by using commonly used Doppler echocardiography for the first time to detect cardiac and vascular system diseases in dogs, and to determine the differences of the flow of blood caused by these diseases. Study materials used in this study consisted of 50 Kangal Shepherd dogs both male and female aged 3 -18 months old. In 2-D echocardiographic examination, exterior of left ventricules was narrowed in 2 (4%) dogs. Anterior and posterior leaves were tickened and shortned in one dog (2%) with mitral displasia. In one (2%) dog with pulmonary stenosis, PW Doppler showed that flow rate and blood pressere were increased. As a conclusion, congenital cardiac diseases like mitral displasia and pulmonary stenosis can be seen in Kangal Shepherd dogs, and abnormalities on hemodynamic and rate of blood flow as a results of those disorders can be determined easily by Doppler echocardiography.

Bu çalışmada “Halk Elinde Küçükbaş Hayvan Islahı Ülkesel Projesi” kapsamında yetiştirilen Kangal Akkaraman ırkı koyunlar ile proje haricinde yetiştirilen aynı ırktan sürülerde, brusellozis görülme oranlarının karşılaştırılması amaçlandı. Çalışmanın materyalini, hayvan ıslahı projesi kapsamında Sivas ilinde yürütülen 8 alt proje (7 yıl süreli n=278, 1-3 yıl süreli n=1166) ve proje dışındaki Kangal Akkaraman ırkı sürülerden alınan (n=47) toplam1491 adet kan serumu oluşturdu. Kan serumlarında brusella antikorları lam-aglutinsyon ve tüp-aglutinasyon testleri ile araştırıldı. Bruselloz görülme oranı ıslah projesinin 7 yıldır uygulandığı sürülerde %4,0; projenin 3 yıldır uygulandığı sürülerde %7,5 ve proje dışındaki sürülerde ise %25,5 olarak belirlenmiştir. Gruplar arasındaki farklar istatistikî açıdan önemli bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlara göre, brusella hastalığına karşı, hayvan ıslah projesi kapsamında herhangi bir aşı mücadelesi yapılmadığı halde, sürülerin projede görevli veteriner sağlık personelleri tarafından düzenli kontrolleri, parazit ve diğer bazı hastalıklara karşı ilaç-aşı uygulamaları ile koç katımı öncesi brusella pozitif koçların sürüden çıkarılmaları gibi uygulamalar, endirekt olarak hastalığın görülme oranını önemli düzeyde azaltmıştır. Sonuç olarak, Türkiye’de önemli bir sorun olan bruselloz hastalığının eradikasyonunda, ilgili Bakanlıkça yürütülen aşı mücadelesinin yanı sıra, iyi yetiştiricilik uygulamalarının teşvik edilerek yaygınlaştırılması yararlı görülmektedir., The aim of the present study was to compare the incidence of brucellosis in groups of Kangal Akkaraman sheep flocks raised in farm conditions in Sivas province. The first and second groups of the sheep flocks were part of the 8 sub-projects which belong to The Project entitled “Nationwide Genetic Improvement of Small Ruminants in Farm Condition” continued for 7 and 1-3 years, respectively. The third group of the sheep flocks was not part of this nationwide project. The study material consisted of 1491 units of blood serum (n=278, 1166 and 47 for the first, second and third groups, respectively). Brucella antibodies were looked for in blood serum using tube and slide agglutination tests. The incidences of brucellosis were 4% and 7.5% in flocks which were part of the nationwide project continued for 7 and 3 years, respectively and 25.5% for the flocks not part of the nationwide project. The differences between groups were found statistically significant. Even though there was no brucella vaccination programs in the flocks of the nationwide project, practices such as regular controls of the flocks by veterinary technicians, drug/vaccination applications for parasites and some other diseases, removal of rams positive for brucella before breeding season significantly reduced the incidence of brucella. As a result, promoting good breeding practices along with the brucella vaccination program applied by the related Ministry can be very beneficial for the eradication of brucella disease that is a big problem for the country.

Amaç: Çalışma yetiştirici elinde bulunan Tarsus Çatalburun ırkı Türk av köpeklerinin bazı morfolojik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla, anayurtları olan Tarsus ve Adana kentlerinde yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada, yaşları 2–6 arasında değişen 10'u dişi 12'si erkek olmak üzere toplam 22 Çatalburun köpeği kullanıldı. Cinsiyet gruplarının tüm değişkenler için karşılaştırmalarında Student-t testinden yararlanıldı. Bulgular: Tarsus Çatalburun köpekleri ile ilgili ilklerden olan bu çalışmada, 13 farklı ölçüm yapıldı. Ölçümlerde cidago yüksekliği, sağrı yüksekliği, vücut uzunluğu, göğüs çevresi, göğüs genişliği, göğüs derinliği, ön incik çevresi, arka incik çevresi, baş uzunluğu, baş çevresi, baş genişliği, burun uzunluğu ve kulak uzunluğuna ait ortalama değerler sırasıyla, 50.78±1.02, 49.45±1.01, 54.29±0.93, 64.75±0.75, 15.75±0.24, 20.97±0.27, 11.93±0.22, 10.84±0.26, 26.95±0.29, 41.07±0.41, 11.36±0.12, 12.18±0.19 ve 17.95±0.25 cm olarak elde edildi. Materials and Methods: Twenty-two Çatalburun dogs (12 males and 10 females) ranging in age from 2 to 6 years were used. Gender differences for all variables were tested using Student-t test. Amaç: Çalışma, özel devekuşu işletmelerden elde edilen yumurtaların depolanma sürelerinin kuluçka performansı üzerine etkilerini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Mart ve Eylül ayları arasını kapsayan bir üretim sezonunda elde edilen devekuşu yumurtaları, numaralandırılıp, tartılarak yumurtlama tarihleri ve 1-15 gün arası depolanma süreleri ile birlikte kayıt edildi. 14. günde dölsüzlüğü saptanan yumurtalar kuluçkadan çıkartıldı. İnkü- basyonun 38. günündeki ikinci tartımları ile ağırlık kayıpları ölçülen yumurtalar, çıkım makinesine nakledildi. Çıkımı ger- çekleşen civcivler de tartılmış, kuluçkaya konan yumurtalar ve döllü yumurtalar için kulakça randımanı belirlendi. Bulgular: Bu çalışmada ortalama kuluçka süresi 43.58 gün oldu. Materials and Methods: The eggs, which were collected from ostriches in one season, lasting from March to September, were numbered, weighed, recorded with laying date and stored for 1-15 days. On the 14th day of incubation, infertile eggs were determined and removed from incubation. On the 38th day of incubation, eggs were weighed for the second time, and following weight losses measurement, the eggs were transferred to the hatching machine. The hatched chicks were weighed and hatchability of fertile egg, hatchability of egg set and chick weight results were determined. Results: Average incubation period was 43.58 days.
